Dravidian Model Of Fascism Enters Karnataka: BJP Supporting X User Arrested By State Police For Social Media Post Against Congress

Karnataka’s cyber crime police have detained a social media user known as @MumbaichaDon (Bhiku Mhatre) for a post he shared on Twitter against the Congress’ manifesto.

The user, identified as Vinit Naik who goes by the name on Bhiku Mhatre (a name inspired by a character from the 1998 movie “Satya”), was apprehended for circulating an edited video of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah discussing reservations, as well as for a tweet criticizing the Congress manifesto.

Bhiku Mhatre had written, “Throw this in face of Every Liberal & Every Piddi who was arguing that CONgress Menifesto doesn’t mention “Mu$£ims” specifically & it includes SC/STs Also. CONgress WANTS TO TAKE AWAY WEALTH FROM HINDUS & DISTRIBUTING TO MU$£IMS “ONLY” AS IT HATES HINDUS INCL. SC/STs.”

However, now the tweet has been deleted.

A complaint lodged by J Saravanan from Srirampura led to an FIR against @MumbaichaDon for his tweet regarding the Congress manifesto. The complaint alleged that the user’s post aimed to stoke communal tensions by fostering animosity between Hindus and Muslims.

@MumbaichaDon was apprehended in the South Goan city of Ponda and faces charges under the IT Act and section 153A of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to promoting disharmony between different religious or racial groups. Prior to his arrest, he shared a screenshot of a legal notice from X’s legal team informing him of a court order from the Bengaluru City Magistrate regarding his account. He denied making any inflammatory or communal remarks, instead accusing the Congress of attempting to silence him for speaking the truth.

BJP leaders, such as Union Minister Smriti Irani and BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya, condemned the arrest, alleging that the Congress government in Karnataka was intolerant of dissent. They pledged legal support, with BJP MP Tejasvi Surya stating they would challenge the arrest both in court and through public advocacy. Maharashtra BJP leader Vinod Tawde also expressed surprise and concern over @MumbaichaDon’s detention.

Hindu Munnani Thwarts Alleged Proselytization Attempts In Tamil Nadu’s Theni And Madurai Districts

Once again, the Hindu Munnani has intervened to stop the alleged conversion of underprivileged children through Sunday summer classes. This time, missionaries reportedly targeted young, innocent children in the districts of Theni and Madurai in Tamil Nadu, attempting to convert them to Christianity without their parents’ knowledge by promoting the teachings of Jesus Christ. The Hindu Munnani effectively halted this activity.

The first incident occurred in the Keerathurai area of Madurai city. Christian missionaries had been conducting ‘Sunday classes’ for underprivileged Hindu boys and girls, during which they preached that ‘Jesus is good and has come to save the world.’ When locals became aware of this, they informed the Hindu Munnani, who promptly intervened and stopped the classes. An FIR was subsequently filed at the Keerathurai police station, and the children were safely returned to their parents.

In another incident in Chinnamanur, Theni District, an unauthorized prayer hall near Potiyamman Temple hosted a summer class for Hindu boys, where attempts were made to convert them to Christianity. The boys were reportedly crowned with Jesus’ crown and given name badges featuring Jesus stickers. Christian missionary James Raja orchestrated this illegal conversion effort involving over 30 children. Hindu Munnani activists intervened, halted the conversion process, and alerted the parents about the potential attempts of such conversions.

Vyasarpadi Youth Alleges Assault By Police During Investigation At Avadi Railway Police Station, Police Deny

A 23-year-old youth had claimed that the Avadi Government Railway Police (GRP) physically assaulted and verbally abused him during an inquiry after detaining him on suspicion of mobile theft on 16 May 2024. The young man, K. Vasantha Kumar from Vyasarpadi, was apprehended by the police at Avadi Railway Station.

According to Vasantha Kumar, the police accused him of stealing mobile phones and took him to the station, where he alleges he was physically assaulted for nearly two hours by three officers. Kumar shared his ordeal with the media at Government Stanley Hospital on 17 May 2024. After the alleged assault, Kumar said the police released him without filing any charges. He went home late Thursday night and subsequently sought medical treatment.

Vasantha Kumar recounted the harrowing experience he had endured to the journalist, “Yesterday, I was sitting in the railway station around 10 to 10:30, I didn’t go to work, I was going to Avadi to see my friend because (my family) would scold me if I went home. While I was sitting there, policemen came and asked why are you sitting here. I said ‘I should go to work, if i go to to home they will scold’, they asked me where you work, I replied, ‘I was working in Villivakkam’ they asked If you’re working in Villivakkam, where is your home’ I said, ‘It’s in Vyasarpadi’ saying Vyasarpadi. said ‘Come on, we will take a picture of you, and send you away’. They asked for my phone number and I gave it. They bought my phone and took me to the station. they took me to the station and took off my clothes, I don’t have anything, I have completed my college, to which they said that ‘you may have finish college, come aside’. They said that 6 phones are missing here, did you take them? I told him sir that I’m not that kind of person, check and see if there is any case. To that do you know what he did? he spoke bad words and beat me. I never agreed till the end, I said even I wont do this again. Telling me Lets go inside, they took me inside, tied both my hands, put a pipe in the middle, and beat me for two hours sir. They cussed me. I said leave me I didn’t do anything, then they said give me a phone I will leave you from here, otherwise we won’t let go, we will keep beating till evening.”

Vasantha Kumar further mentioned that despite his request for water, the police declined to assist. Eventually, they gestured to him, handing over the phone, and advised him not to approach their area. When asked about the number of policemen who beat him, he identified three officers from the Avadi Railway Station police.

When News Tamil 24×7 reporters visited the hospital to cover the incident, they observed three plainclothes police officers comforting the victim’s mother. The officers explained that the theft problem in the area was severe, which is why Vasantha Kumar had been taken to the police station, assuring her that they would handle the situation. When the reporters inquired about the identities of the officers who assaulted Vasantha Kumar and the actions taken against them, the supposed Sub-Inspector refused to respond.

 

 

While a senior GRP officer, speaking to TNIE, refuted Kumar’s claims stated that his account is exaggerated and influenced by external factors. The officer mentioned that Kumar was questioned for about 30 to 45 minutes and then released, denying any assault by the police. An internal inquiry has been initiated to investigate Kumar’s claims.

“#Tamilanathudrogi_DMK” Trends On Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day

On 17th May, thousands of Tamils gathered in Mullaivaikkal, located on Sri Lanka’s northeastern coast, to honor their relatives who were killed in May 2009 during the final battle of the island’s prolonged civil war.

As the conflict intensified before its brutal conclusion, hundreds of thousands of Tamil civilians were herded into this narrow strip of land, designated by the government as a ‘No Fire Zone’. However, indiscriminate shelling by the armed forces resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands, including many women and children, and left scores seriously injured.

Thirteen years have passed since many of the Tamils present in Mullaivaikkal village lost their loved ones—husbands, wives, sons, daughters, brothers, or sisters—during the war between the Sri Lankan army and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), who were fighting for an independent Tamil state in the northeastern region of the country.

The tragic events in Mullaivaikkal in May 2009, where tens of thousands of Tamil civilians were trapped and killed, marked the final phase of the Sri Lankan military’s offensive against the LTTE, bringing an end to the nearly three-decade-long civil war that spanned from 1983 to 2009. Each year, on 18 May, Tamils gather in a large open space near the Vadduvakal Bridge to participate in a collective memorial, known as Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day, to honor family members who disappeared or were killed during the war.

In this context, social media has been flooded since the morning with the hashtag #Tamilanathudrogi_DMK, which translates to “DMK the traitor to the Tamil race.” Netizens are using this hashtag to criticize the ruling DMK, accusing them of betraying the Eezham Tamils during their conflict 2009.

A netizen posted a video featuring MDMK chief Vaiko, who is currently an ally of the DMK, vehemently cursing and criticizing the DMK for betraying the Tamils. In the video, Vaiko stated, “Are you the tamil race leader? (You’re) betrayer of the race, how will I go to  alliance, How will Vaiko, who has spoken since 2009 that (DMK) is a racial traitor on a thousand platforms, come to an agreement? Doing so means I am deceiving myself”

Another netizen shared a video featuring former CBI officer Ragothaman, who is highly respected for his investigative work on the Rajiv Gandhi case. In the video, Ragothaman stated, “Sri Lankan army was not a match to the LTTE organisation, It was never and eqivalant force. I will say you the secret, how and why they have destroyed it. Tamilnadu is where he used to get food, medicine, Uniform from here, Rameswaram and Kodiyakarai are called undeclared ports of LTTE. Both the Tamil Nadu government and the Indian government have left them, if rice or pulses do not go from here, the fighters there will not be able to fight, and how long can they will fight with hunger. In 2009 the same DMK governments Karunanidhi was there and the Congress was ruling, if they have sent food and others they could have not been defeated, but there was nothing… the life line was cut”   

Another video posted by a netizen features the revered and respected late Vijayakanth criticizing DMK’s Karunanidhi as a fake leader who betrayed the Tamil race. In the video, Vijayakanth makes these accusations directly, “Kalaignar done this, Kalaignar said this, What Kalaignar, Kalaignar? I’m giving the respect so calling Kalaignar, What did Kalaignar did mortgaging the Tamilnadu. Even now he is talking about the race, Is the one who killed the race is talking about the race! Is it not a shame a regime of nothing, My wish is that the people should teach DMK and Congress a proper lesson. He is the epitome of lies, I get angry when I asked about him. He is a liar, ‘like my father is not in the bush’. This is an example of what kind of traitor he is, he will give you a TV and gets the connection money and leave, this is the reality people, who has the connections? tell me, is it with the public… All is with his party men, him, his grandson and son and that’s the truth.”

Another netizen posted, “Sacrificing lives in Mullivaikal and rights in Mullaiperiyar, surrendering land in Kachchathivu and water in the Cauvery – all for his own political gain, he abandoned Tamil Nadu. #தமிழினத்துரோகி_திமுக”

Another post shared by netizen featured speech by former NTK member and current DMK executive Rajiv Gandhi, in which he vehemently criticized Karunanidhi for the killing of Tamils in Sri Lanka, Rajiv Gandhi stated,  “We said, Mr. Karunanidhi, we challenged that the position of Chief Minister for which you have endured the Sinhalese sting that destroyed our race, will not be found again in your lifetime. He was able to sit in a wheelchair until the end. For whatever position, for a trivial position, for your chief ministership, you have destroyed my race, that position will not belong to your family till the end. Even today, Stalin waits like a Elavu parrot”

Another netizen ridiculing the DMK with past and present stance stated, “Father pretended to lie on the mattress and took the lives of Tamils ​. The son is selling meth and taking lives from Tamils #தமிழினத்துரோகி_திமுக”

Other posts highlighted that despite having a majority and significant influence at the center, the DMK failed to seize the opportunity to support the Tamils in Sri Lanka. Critics pointed out that prominent DMK first family, such as Kanimozhi and T.R. Baalu, visited Sri Lanka and displayed friendly gestures towards the Rajapaksa government, which was responsible for the killings of Tamils in Mullaivaikaal.

In another post a netizens mocked the DMK sharing a doodle that depicted Instead of aiding the Tamils who suffered in Sri Lanka, it depicted Chief Minister Karunandi as pleading with the Congress government at the center for ministerial positions for his son, daughter, and grandsons.

It is to be noted that recently, Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai exposed with RTI that the current DMK regime under the leadership of late CM Karunanidhi and its ally in centre the Congress had clandestinely ceded the katchatheevu-island to the Sri Lanka.

Netizens Call For #BoycottNaturals As Its CEO Insults Freedom Fighter Veer Savarkar

CK Kumaravel, the CEO and Co-founder of “Naturals” salons and former executive of Makkal Needhi Maiam and a current vocal supporter of the Congress party, has come under heavy criticism for making disparaging comments and malicious allegations against the nationalist freedom fighter Veer Savarkar. The netizens have accused Kumaravel of spreading ill-willed and false allegations against Savarkar and calls to boycott his Naturals Salons with #BoycottNaturals trending in social media.

This grudge to tarnish the image of the respected Indian freedom fighter and social activist comes in the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s challenge to the I.N.D.I alliance leaders at a recent rally in Kalyan, Maharashtra. Modi urged them to speak five sentences highlighting the greatness of Veer Savarkar. Following this, the PTI news agency posted about the event on its official handle, to which Kumaravel responded with his controversial remarks.

CK Kumaravel in response to PM Narendra Modi’s call for to speak five sentences highlighting the greatness of Veer Savarkar, he stated, “ 1. #VeerSavarkar is a coward 2. He is a co-conspirator in Gandhi’s assassination 3. He is an expert in writing #MercyPetitions 4. He brainwashed the mentally ill #Godse in killing #Gandhi 5. There is nothing veer in him except his name 6. A #Hindutva Maniac #RSS – #BJP mafia”

Outraged by the post, netizens have called for a boycott of services from Naturals Salon using the hashtag #BoycottNaturals, which is rapidly gaining traction on the platform X.

Netizens expressed their outrage with posts such as, “Never set foot in Naturals Salon again,” and “Remember this brand as a Hindu hater. Spread the word. Boycott this hater.” Another user sarcastically remarked, “Why boycott? Already no one goes there. There’s no need to start the #BoycottNaturals trend because nobody uses Naturals for their beauty services anyway. What more is there to boycott in that failed salon brand?”

TN BJP Chief Annamalai Hits Back At DMK Min PTR’s Twitter Troll Over Modi’s Metro And Free Bus Remarks

A recent interview, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commented, “You make a metro in a city. And in the same city, to win elections, some people are saying we will provide free travel to women in buses. Then you have taken the 50% passenger. Then the metro won’t be viable. Then how will metros be made in the future? By this, you have made a problem of traffic and a problem of the environment.”

In response, Tamil Nadu’s DMK minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan (PTR) took to Twitter, sharply criticizing the PM’s logic. He tweeted, “The farce (the snippets compete with each other for top spot) with four pliant court jesters explains why there have been no press conferences in 10 years. Had the court jesters been actual journalists instead, a few questions should have come up immediately to counter this puerile logic:”

PTR’s tweet further read:

1. Is there any place in the world where:
– a) There is a Metro but not a bus service ALSO (they are complementary, not direct substitutes)?
– b) Some form of concession for travel on public transport (student, aged, monthly pass, etc.) is NOT offered?
– c) The bus service then affects the viability of the Metro?

2. Why has the equity investment in the Chennai Metro Phase II (new lines) been kept pending by the Union Cabinet for so many years, even as many Metros in other cities announced/agreed after it have been funded? They might have pointed out that one cannot travel on Metro lines that don’t exist, irrespective of whether the bus is free for women or with a paid ticket!

This critique was quickly countered by Tamil Nadu BJP Chief K. Annamalai, who defended the Prime Minister and accused the DMK government of mismanagement. Annamalai tweeted, “The welfare & concessions of the DMK Govt come at a cost. There is no place in the world where each Minister takes turns belittling a beneficiary as a ‘Freeloader,’ like in TN under the DMK Government.”

Annamalai’s rebuttal included several accusations:

1. The benefit claimed by the government as savings is a cruel joke as the cost of other essentials, such as milk and electricity charges, have skyrocketed. DMK is an expert in picking the right pocket and dropping it in the left pocket of the same person as welfare.

2. Ever since the DMK came to power, about 6000 buses have been off the road, making commuting difficult for passengers.

3. The procurement of electric buses has remained an announcement for the last 3 years.

Additionally, Annamalai questioned the DMK’s decision-making in awarding contracts: “While the Minister who lost his Finance portfolio for exposing monumental corruption in the DMK Government speaks about matters that aren’t his domain, we would like to understand why the Tender for procurement of equipment for Smart classrooms for Govt schools was awarded to Keltron (Kerala State owned Electronic Development Corporation). Why was ELCOT not given an opportunity in this ₹1000 Crore Tender which has part of funding from our Central government’s Samagra Siksha Programme. Would the IT Minister of Tamil Nadu care to explain?”

Virtue-Signaling Alleged Actor Suriya Enjoys Taxpayer-Funded Security For His Vacant Chennai House Despite Moving To Mumbai With Family

Actor Suriya’s residence in Chennai has enjoyed complimentary police protection for over two and a half years, courtesy of the ruling party in Tamil Nadu. The security arrangement stemmed from a controversy surrounding the release of the movie “Jai Bhim” in 2021, which allegedly contained scenes promoting casteism. Subsequently, a complaint was filed by BJP administrators against the film’s director, Gnanavel, producer Jyothika, and actor Suriya at the Anna Nagar Deputy Commissioner’s office in Chennai. Although the dispute subsided, the security measure remained in place.

Despite Suriya residing with his family in Mumbai, armed policemen continue to guard his Chennai residence. Yes! thats true, Suriya relocated from Chennai to Mumbai last year. He now resides with his family in a luxurious apartment in Mumbai, valued at over ₹70 crore.

Social activist Krishnamurthy raised questions regarding the rationale behind providing government-funded security to Suriya’s property. In response to an inquiry filed under the Right to Information Act, it was revealed that the security arrangement was initiated by the Commissioner of Police on 15 November 2021, due to perceived ongoing threats as determined by the Security Review Committee.

Contrary to expectations, Suriya does not bear any financial responsibility for the security provided. Typically, charges are levied for security services rendered during public events, but in cases of perceived threat to individuals, fees are expected to be paid to the police department. Krishnamurthy expressed concern over the fairness of Suriya receiving such protection without contributing financially, especially considering his absence from the Chennai residence.

Moreover, inquiries into the continuation of security provision for Suriya’s unoccupied Chennai residence in light of his current residence in Mumbai prompted a response from a police officer, citing ministerial recommendation as the basis for the ongoing security arrangement.

 

As the news went viral, it sparked reactions because Suriya, a vocal of the current DMK government, has remained unusually silent despite being vocal during the previous AIADMK regime. Netizens are trolling, and lambasting Suriya calling out his hypocrisy. His wife, actress Jyothika, who previously advocated for constructing schools and hospitals instead of temples, is now being slammed for their family using police protection without any apparent threat or paying, as if they were prominent leaders fighting for a cause.

Earlier in April 2023, Suriya and his family were enjoying a tour of the Keezhadi museum with Su. Venkatesan, then Communist MP from Madurai acting as their guide even as the general public including many school children were made to wait outside in the scorching sun.

Recovery Of 10th Century Rashtrakutas Inscription At Vallimalai Murugan Temple Vellore

An ancient inscription dating back to the 10th century was discovered amidst the ruins at Vallimalai Murugan temple in the Vellore district. After being safely retrieved, it was entrusted to the care of the Vellore Government Museum.

Located near Katpadi in the Vellore district, Vallimalai has been the subject of archaeological interest. Prompted by reports of two neglected inscriptions belonging to King Krishna Kannaradevan III from the 10th century, the Archaeology and Revenue Departments jointly conducted a survey in the area.

Subsequently, two deteriorated inscriptions were unearthed near the Vallimalai Murugan temple. These inscriptions hailed the victory of King Kannaradeva from the Rashtrakuta dynasty during the 10th century.

Interestingly, both inscriptions conveyed identical messages in both Tamil and Kannada, recounting a significant historical event. In a fiercely contested battle called ‘Battle of Takkolam‘, the Rashtrakutas emerged victorious over the Cholas near Takkolam, close to Arakonam. Prince Rajaditya of the Chola dynasty perished in this conflict, leading to the northern regions of Tamil Nadu falling under Rashtrakuta dominion. During this period, King Krishna III was encamped at Melpadi and organized a literary competition. Gandadeva Appaiyan emerged as the victor and was rewarded with a village by King Krishna. These inscriptions provide detailed accounts of these events, including the demise of Chola princess Rajaditya during the battle at Takkolam. Intriguingly, even in this Rashtrakuta inscription, Rajaditya is referred to as ‘Yaanai Mel Thunjiya Devar,’ indicating his demise while fighting from the back of an elephant.

Over time, these historical artifacts were engulfed by the soil and damaged by creeping vines since 2011. On 15th May 2024, following the directive of Vellore District Collector Subbulakshmi, the Revenue and Archaeology Departments recovered these inscriptions. They were securely transported on a four-wheeler and handed over to Saravanan, the Curator of the Vellore Government Museum, for safekeeping and public display.

She has also recently peddled a misleading notion that reporting in Kashmir is arduous for journalists. Delving into the origins of her journalistic ethos has long been a subject of intrigue. However, for the first time, OSINTWa exposes the influential source behind her skewed reporting – her enigmatic marriage.

Arfa Khanum Sherwani has kept her marital status clandestine, but this secrecy is now out in the open. Her husband is Azim Khan, a former “Political Analyst” for the US government.

Incidentally, here’s what the job description of CIA’s “political analyst” reads:

Intelligence agents are usually based in a country’s embassy of the host country.

This revelation prompts scrutiny into Khan’s role within the US government, particularly his involvement with the Embassy of the USA in India and his facilitation work for the Ford Foundation in 2006. Such connections raise questions about the potential influence on Arfa’s journalistic integrity and the objectivity of her reporting.

Interestingly, Azim Khan holds positions as the director of SIT’s International Honors Program in human rights and co-chair of the MA in Global Health at the School for International Training, as listed on SIT’s website. Sophia Howlett currently serves as the president of SIT. A closer examination of Sophia’s background reveals her extensive experience with the Open Society Foundations, where she has been involved as a Veteran Open Society Institute International Policy Fellow, consultant, trainer, speaker, and evaluator.

This is not the first instance SIT has been highlighted in connections to Anti-India propaganda. Previously, attention was drawn to an SIT alumna, Rebecca “Becky” Norman, who has played a significant role alongside Sonam Wangchuk. Norman, an SIT graduate, has been instrumental in supporting Wangchuk’s initiatives. From Rebecca to Azim Khan, it seems SIT alumni consistently demonstrate extraordinary Anti-India sentiments.

Furthermore, allegations regarding Arfa’s purported CIA connections emerged in September 2018 when she participated in a three-week fellowship program organized by the East West Center (EWC) and visited the Pentagon. Over time, suspicions have arisen linking the EWC to the CIA.

Steve Pieczenik, a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, asserted that the EWC has historical links to the CIA. Situated at the University of Hawaii, the EWC was established by the U.S. Congress in 1960 with the official aim of fostering relations and understanding among the peoples and nations of the Asia-Pacific region and the United States.

Victor Marchetti, a former CIA officer disillusioned with the agency, published “The CIA and the Cult of Intelligence” in 1974. In his book, Marchetti highlighted the CIA’s collaboration with universities, including the recruitment of professors to identify potential recruits from third world countries.

Investigative reporter Wayne Madsen suggested that the EWC is among the universities involved in such activities, particularly targeting South Asian countries. Howard P. Jones, who served as Chancellor of the EWC from 1965 onwards, had previous ties to the CIA, having served as the U.S. ambassador to Indonesia during the planning of the 1965 overthrow of Sukarno.

Ann Dunham, Obama’s mother, was also affiliated with the EWC and allegedly recruited by the CIA. It’s claimed that she met Obama’s father while working there and, under CIA directives, both assisted in Indonesia during a regime change operation. Arfa’s association with the EWC, her frequent visits to the USA, and her involvement in anti-India propaganda and protests have raised suspicions. However, verifying any potential ties to intelligence agencies remains the responsibility of government authorities.

Hindu Munnani Raises Concerns Over Allegedly Unauthorized Church Construction In Pudukkottai District

Hindu religious and cultural rights organization Hindu Munnani, has raised concerns over the construction of a new church in Manamelkudi, Pudukkottai District, that is allegedl being constructed without the necessary permissions.

The organization claims that the church, located near the Jagadeeswarar Temple, Pillaiyar Temple, and Mariamman Temple, as well as opposite to Pennagaram Perumal Temple, is being built on agricultural land.

According to the Hindu Munnani, the church construction is taking place without the permission of the District Collector and the Panchayat President. The organization has submitted a petition to the Tahsildar and Revenue Department officials, urging them to intervene and halt the construction immediately.

Expressing concerns, the Hindu Munnani alleged that the construction of the church on agricultural land is a deliberate attempt to convert Hindus and disrupt their worship. They fear that the presence of the church in such close proximity to Hindu temples might hinder the religious practices of the Hindu community in the area.

“The illegal construction of the church without proper permissions is a direct challenge to the religious harmony of the region. This move is aimed at converting Hindus and obstructing their worship,” a spokesperson for the Hindu Munnani stated.
