TN govt school headmaster advocates overthrowing state govt through violence, spreads messages against vaccination

A Mayiladuthurai school Headmaster has posted a few opinions on his Facebook page which has been found to be shocking. Speaking about the state government, the headmaster Murali Ira, has said that the public should be communalised to raise guns against the government, in order to overthrow them. The same headmaster has also registered his opinion against compulsory vaccination on his page.

Replying to a Facebook user’s comment on how Collectors are under the control of the state government, Murali has said in Tamil, “The most powerful are the Corporates. If we get Corporate rights, we can even shake the governing power to its roots. But, the public are the most powerful of all. If they’re mobilised and are trained for a revolution, the governance will come back to the hands of the public. Power originates from Guns.”

Similarly, in another post he has questioned how vaccination can be made compulsory. Like many anti-vaxxers, he has also asked who will take responsibility if one is affected because of the vaccine. While, people have the right to freedom of expression, this headmaster’s opinion and perspective is alarming because he is a teacher, who will be teaching and influencing so many students in his life.

BJP media spokesperson, SG Suryah shared Murali’s opinions on Twitter and said, “A school’s headmaster is making comments asking the public to raise guns against the state government and also preaching against vaccination. It is scary to think what he will be teaching his students.” He then tagged the CM and Education Minister Anbil Mahesh and asked them if they will take action without any compromise.

TN Congress President derogates Sanatana Dharma, deletes tweet later

A video of TN Congress President K S Alagiri saying that Sanatana Dharma has to be destroyed in an interview, went viral on Twitter a few days ago. Many said that the leader has spelled out the most important agenda of the Congress party. It was then clarified that the leader only quoted Thirumavalavan and did not exactly mention the agenda of Congress. Senior BJP leader H Raja also had tweeted that, Congress, which accepts Thirumavalavan’s statement about destroying Sanatana Dharma, has to be boycotted.

While there were explanations that the statement was not made by K S Alagiri himself and that he merely quoted Thirumavalavan, the leader’s true intention about the issue has now been revealed. Alagiri had tweeted in Tamil today, “Sanatana Dharma justifies the inequalities in society. It is an interjection to Hinduism. No civilised society has accepted this. This is Congress’ policy. DMK’s calendar ignores Hindu festivals; mentions them as ‘govt holidays’

Chandrasekhar, a DMK secretary and MLA for Thanjavur district has sold a daily sheet calendar for the year 2022. The calendar mentions the birthdays of various leaders and the remembrance days of late executives and functionaries. However, Hindu festivals are referred to as ‘Government Holidays’ in the calendar. At the same time, festivals of other religions are mentioned by their names.

With regard to this issue, the Tirupur North District BJP leader Senthilvel said, “These rationalists who have mentioned Hindu festivals as Government holidays, and in the same calendar have also mentioned Vastu Day, auspicious days, Manayadi sastras, etc. The DMK party is proving with every single action that they are against Hindus. How could they have won without the votes of Hindus? This calendar should be edited and republished, immediately.”

Chinese propaganda video over Galwan Valley falls flat with latest pics of Indian Army

After the Chinese state-controlled media posted photos and videos of its soldiers unfurling their flag in Galwan valley, the Indian Army completely busted when it proved beyond a reason of doubt that the video shared by the Chinese is not the spot were Indian and Chinese soldiers fought on June 2020.

Analysis of the videos with available open-source satellite images and terrain mapping clearly indicates that the flag unfurling incident did not take place on January 1, 2022 at the site of the June 2020 clash in Galwan Valley.

According to defense analyst Abhijit Iyer-Mitra, the location of the video tweeted by the Chinese is wrong because the point were the hand-to-hand combat between Indian and Chinese forces that took place in June 2020 clearly indicates that the location of the unfurling of the Communist flag could not have been the same.

The DMK government headed by Chief Minister MK Stalin has decided to discontinue the Amma Mini Clinic scheme which was launched by the AIADMK government.

Citing lack of performance, the State Health Minister Ma Subramanian said that it was a temporary scheme that was meant for a year and it would be discontinued.

He added that the tenure of the doctors who were working in these clinics have been extended till March 2022 and alternate jobs would be provided for them.

Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami launched “Amma Mini Clinics” on December 14, 2020 in Chennai at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic was at its peak. Around 2000 such mini clinics were set up across the state to strengthen the public health infrastructure. Chennai alone was to have 200 Amma Mini Clinics and more were slated to be set up in densely populated areas.

Each mini clinic would have have a doctor, a nurse and an assistant to help with public consultation along with facilities for checking body temperature, blood pressure, blood oxygen,  haemoglobin, blood sugar, urine samples, etc.

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) had lauded the Tamil Nadu government’s move for launching the scheme in the middle of a pandemic that will provide for better and accessible medical facilities for the public.

The DMK government’s move to shut the doors of Amma Mini Clinic has attracted criticism from the AIADMK, BJP and the AMMK.

Leader of Opposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami condemned the DMK government’s move and said that the it is shutting down these clinic out of political vendetta as it bears the name ‘Amma’ (late J. Jayalalithaa).

“The DMK government has reaffirmed that it is a government that does not care about the welfare of the poor and common people.”, Palaniswami said in a social media post.

Pointing out the double of Health Minister Ma. Subrmanian, BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai said that it is a government’s duty to continue schemes meant for the welfare of people.
