January 26 is Republic Day, the day when the Constitution of India came into force and the country became a democratic republic.

The word ‘Independence’ is also wrongly spelled in the website as ‘Independance’.

Netizens were quick to notice the mistake and have been taking jibes at the DMK and its Chief Minister MK Stalin.

An old video of MK Stalin getting confused over the dates of Independence Day and Republic Day is also being shared.
