YSRCP MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju claims threat to life for raising issue of Christian conversions in AP

Rebel YSRCP MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (12 May) to provide him with security claiming threat to his life for raising issue of rampant Christian conversions in Andhra Pradesh.

According to Raju, who is MP from Narsapuram Lok Sabha constituency has been receiving threat calls after filing a petition on April 6 seeking the cancellation of bail granted to Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Citing “reliable sources”, Raju accused Reddy of trying to physically eliminate him by using “professional killers” hailing from the YSR Kadapa district and asked for armed protection to be deployed with him at all times when he is in Delhi since he is was entitled to ‘Y’ category security only in Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh.

Raghu Rama Krishna Raju joined YSRCP just before the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, however, after a short while he got into a confrontation with the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government particularly over the issue of alleged religious conversions in the state.
