“TamilAl”– India’s First Indigenous Tamil AI Initiative To Be Launched

A. Ashvathaman, the State Secretary of the Tamil Nadu BJP and Founder of the TamilAl Project, has cordially extended an open invitation to the grand launch of “TamilAl”, a groundbreaking artificial intelligence model developed entirely in Tamil, and deeply inspired by the language’s literary legacy, cultural richness, and the philosophical principle of Aram (moral virtue).

Developed by Deffo Tech Private Limited, TamilAl represents India’s first fully indigenous AI language model built exclusively in an Indian language. Drawing from both classical and contemporary Tamil literature, this initiative aims to preserve and promote Tamil linguistic heritage while harnessing the transformative potential of AI.

Message from A. Ashvathaman via X platform, “My long-time dream is coming true! We are creating a fully developed Artificial Intelligence model exclusively for our Tamil language. This Language Learning Model (LLM), being developed entirely in India, will include everything from Sangam literature to lakhs of books. The launch event will be held on June 6 at IIT Madras, Chennai.
