Ivory Coast Footballer Attacked For His Skin Colour, Physically Assaulted By Football Fans In Malappuram, Kerala

While Kerala boasts of achieving 100% literacy and being politically aware, recent events question the credibility of these statements. Parallels have been to the racial taunting witnessed in Australian sporting arenas. In cricket stadiums, reports indicate that only Australian citizens tend to provoke opposing teams with racial remarks when they are losing. However, in a recent incident at the Malappuram grounds, Keralites not only verbally provoked a foreign player but also pursued him across the field, subjecting him to severe physical assault until he managed to escape the mob. This behavior is deemed deeply shameful and disgraceful, particularly in how it treats a foreign sports player who has journeyed across borders to take part in a local event.

Dairrassouba Hassane Junior, a footballer hailing from Ivory Coast, was extended an invitation to join a local tournament called the “Sevens Football Tournament,” a variation of the sport featuring seven players on each team. He was recruited by the Jawahar Mavoor Football Club to partake in this sevens football event. However, during a five-a-side match near Areekode on March 10, the player from West Africa found himself subjected to a severe attack by a group of spectators.

Hassane Junior reported experiencing a violent assault and being subjected to racial insults at a football ground in the Malappuram district of Kerala. He lodged a formal complaint with the local police, alleging that he was assaulted by a crowd of fans who also racially targeted him, pelting him with stones that caused him to fall to the ground.

According to his complaint to the Malappuram district police chief, Hassane recounted, “During a corner kick for our team while we were leading by a goal, I approached the corner flag to take the kick, and the locals and the audience began calling me a monkey. Someone from the audience threw a stone at me, hitting my head. Upon turning around, I was met with two more stones being hurled at me along with verbal abuse, including racial slurs such as ‘fuck African monkey, black cat.‘”

He further stated, “To protect my life, I fled. Both supporters and members of the opposing team threw stones at me, inflicting severe injuries. I managed to escape when supporters from my team intervened and halted the attack.”

Expressing the mental anguish caused by the incident, Hassane Junior asserted in his complaint, “My race and I have been insulted. I was targeted because of the color of my skin.”

Law enforcement authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the mob implicated in the assault on the football player.

Ironically, the same Kerala made a film with the storyline of a black footballer named “Sudani from Nigeria” in 2018 in Malappuram itself.

DMK’s Sinister Agenda To Divide Tamil Hindus And De-Hinduize Lord Murugan?

In a startling decision, the DMK-led government in Tamil Nadu, under the leadership of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, has announced plans to host the World Muthamizh Murugan Conference at the revered Palani Murugan Temple in Dindigul district. The conference, scheduled for June or July 2024, aims to bring together “devotees of Lord Murugan” from across the globe.

The announcement was made by DMK Hindu Religious Charities Minister P.K. Sekar Babu during a press briefing in Chennai. Speaking to reporters, he said, “To bring together all the Murugan devotees from across the world for Tamil God Murugan, we will hold a World Murugan Conference in Palani. We are a government that says what it does and does what it says.”

The two-day conference will witness the participation of trustees from Murugan temples worldwide, highlighting the global reverence for Lord Murugan, known as the Tamil God. Discussions, seminars, and lectures on various aspects of Murugan worship and mythology are being planned.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is slated to inaugurate the conference, with further details regarding the event’s date to be announced soon. The announcement comes on the heels of the formation of the Hindu Religious Charities Advisory Board, aimed at facilitating the implementation of key initiatives for temple workers’ welfare.

Critics argue that this can be seen as a way to drive a wedge among Hindus by classifying them as Murugan devotees and those who are not and thus furthering the “North-South divide” narrative.

Dravidian Stockist and alleged ‘spiritual discourser’ Suki Sivam including DMK members have said that Muruga and Subrahmanya are distinct, perpetuating a recycled narrative of Aryan and Dravidian divisions.

Ironically, Dravidian Stockists and “Periyar”ists named “Karuppar Koottam” with ties to the DMK had earlier abused Lord Murugan and the revered hymn Kandha Sashti Kavasam.

It is noteworthy that the same DMK minister Sekar Babu had participated in the Eradicate Sanatana Dharma conference in September 2023 where Udhayanidhi Stalin made those controversial remarks. His words at the press briefing that the DMK government under MK Stalin “says what it does and does what it says” seem to indicate this – deepen the narrative of the Aryans and Dravidians by calling Lord Muruga a Tamizh Kadavul (Tamizh God) and by inviting people who are specifically “Murugan devotees”.

Critics wonder if this is one of their ways to deHinduize Lord Murugan and thus work towards Udhayanidhi Stalin’s statements.

Bastar: The Naxal Story Elucidates How The Region Battled The Maoist Menace

“Bastar: The Naxal Story” is an upcoming Hindi-language film scheduled for theatrical release on 15 March 2024. The film is written and directed by Sudipto Sen, and production is by Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Sunshine Pictures. Since the announcement in June 2023, the film’s title and description have stirred significant interest on social media. However, there has been commotion from some quarters, who find it unsettling.

Of course, we’re familiar with that as the movie delves into the Naxalite–Maoist insurgency in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, and with Sudipto Sen, known for his previous work on “Kerala Story,” which shed light on realities in Kerala, helms this project, who will not be frightened?

Not only has the director’s meticulous scene crafting elevated the impact to the next level, but the cast, including all actors, especially the main stars who returned for a second run with him, has also done justice to the film. The leads, Adah Sharma, Indira Tiwari, Vijay Krishna, Shilpa Shukla, Yashpal Sharma, Subrat Dutta, and Raima Sen, have done justice to the film.

The movie depicts the collaborative anti-Naxal operation involving the CRPF, Chattisgarh Police, and Salwa Judum, a state-backed civilian anti-Naxal movement between 2009 and 2013 in Chhattisgarh, as well as the Supreme Court proceedings initiated by urban Naxal Nalini Sundar to outlaw Salwa Judum and the Special Police Officer.

The plot centres around the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, serving as the headquarters of Communist Maoism. It intertwines three intriguing plotlines:

  • A police officer striving to restore peace to the region.
  • The aspirations of the Naxal-dominated tribal community for a tranquil life.
  • The ideological struggle of leftist supporters striving to sustain Maoism and Naxalism in Bastar.

Each unique plot is interconnected like a triquetra, captivating the audience and leaving them in anticipation of what unfolds next.

The film not only presents plots but also incorporates numerous references. For instance, it delves into the concept of the Red Corridor, which sheds light on communist ideologists’ exploitation of Dalit youths in the guise of Ambedkar’s ideals to incite armed rebellion against India and portrays the true nature of the communist utopia.

It all begins with a tribal family striving for a peaceful life for their children, hoping for a better future. However, their aspirations are shattered ruthlessly. As the story unfolds, it peels away layers like an onion, revealing the political parties orchestrating the chaos and their strategies to maintain power. It also sketches how they manipulate universities, NGOs, and media outlets to shape narratives and garner support, exploiting legal loopholes along the way.

Showcases in the heart of independent India, raising the national flag is not just forbidden but punishable by death according to Maoist law in Bastar. These Maoists have wreaked havoc for decades, claiming countless lives and causing immense damage to national assets in their pursuit of communist ideals. Set in 2010, referencing institutions like INU and characters like Vanya Roy, the movie leaves audiences guessing until the end.

After “Uri: The Surgical Strike,” Bollywood’s courageous endeavour to depict the reality of Naxal-affected regions and expose the truth without distortion is praiseworthy. Every proud Indian should watch the movie in theatres to truly experience it pulsating through their veins.

MK Stalin To Sue TN BJP Head Annamalai & EPS For Linking Him In Jaffer Sadiq Drug Bust; Annamalai Says Bring It On

Following the massive drug bust and the arrest of international drug lord Jaffer Sadiq, the NCB said it was investigating the drug money trail in the Tamil film industry, real estate as well as politics.

Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party chief K Annamalai took this issue up and blamed the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam for the failure to keep the state of Tamil Nadu drug-free.

On 11 March 2024, DMK MLA & Law Minister Reghupathy and DMK Rajya Sabha MP P Wilson issued warnings about taking legal action against individuals associating DMK and its leaders with a drug trafficking cartel. They emphasized that their party has no connections to the apprehended international drug smuggler Jaffer Sadiq.

Subsequently, as the protests over the failure of DMK with regard to drugs by AIADMK and the BJP, on 14 March 2024, it was reported that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin was going to sue both Annamalai and EPS for linking him to the drug case and ex-DMK neta Jaffar Sadiq.

Following this news report, Annamalai took to his social media X handle to voice out his opinion. He wrote, “It has been about a month since the drug smuggling ring of DMK executive Jaffer Sadiq, the leader of an international drug smuggling ring, was caught. Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Mr.@narendramodi himself has expressed his concern about drug circulation in Tamil Nadu. But Chief Minister Stalin, who has never spoken a word about this, has filed a defamation case against me for saying the fact that drug traffic in Tamil Nadu has increased after DMK came to power. Do you have a habit of reading the daily news, Chief Minister? Attempts to silence our voice following the defamation case will not succeed so the people do not know the plight of the DMK regime. We will continue to expose your evil rule among the people.”

It is noteworthy that Jaffer Sadiq was the NRI Wing office bearer for the DMK, he was expelled from the party following the news of him being the mastermind of the gang that dispatched 45 consignments over three years, totalling 3,500 kg of pseudoephedrine valued at over ₹2,000 crores in the international market.

In May 2023, Chief Minister MK Stalin filed a defamation suit against BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai over the “DMK Files” episode. Demanding a public apology and damages of ₹500 crore, the notice refutes Annamalai’s claims as “false” and “baseless.” DMK Organisational Secretary RS Bharathi, representing DMK, accused Annamalai of attempting to defame party leaders due to electoral failures.

Trichy Corporation DMK Councilor Attempts To Self Immolate Over Unmet Demands For Ward Development

That a DMK Trichy corporation councillor attempted to self-immolate owing to alleged neglect of his ward’s development made the news on 13 March 2024. The councillor put forth his resignation stating he was unable to continue his role because he felt his constituents were being overlooked.

The monthly corporation council meeting, held on 13 March 2024, saw the adoption of 145 resolutions, yet tensions arose towards the end when a DMK councillor resigned, citing neglect of his ward. Kajamalai Vijay, expressing frustration over unmet demands for Ward 60, submitted his resignation to Mayor M Anbalagan and Corporation Commissioner V Saravanan. He later attempted self-immolation, which was prevented by police and fellow councillors.

In a tearful statement during the incident, Vijay highlighted issues such as inadequate cleaning of an overhead tank, unaddressed requests for a library, and insufficient sanitation workers in his ward. Mayor Anbalagan, upon reviewing Vijay’s resignation letter, instructed immediate action on the raised concerns, leading to the rejection of Vijay’s resignation.

A senior DMK official, observing the event, characterized Vijay’s actions as emotional, affirming that efforts were underway to resolve his grievances. Another councillor, Ambikapathi KK of AIADMK from Ward 65, also left the session, citing dissatisfaction over the sale of pan masala in the city.

Despite the presentation of 145 resolutions during the session, most pertained to minor civic projects and measures against delinquent corporation bill payers. Councillor L Rex raised concerns about UGD contractors charging residents for connecting pipelines without proper authorization. Mayor Anbalagan denounced such actions and directed officials to rectify the situation, ensuring affected residents are refunded.

Furthermore, councillors highlighted issues with water supply in certain areas, attributed to problems at the Kollidam collector well. The mayor assured affected wards of tanker water supply to mitigate the inconvenience.

In this context, SG Suryah, the State Secretary of the BJP, voiced criticism towards MK Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, questioning his leadership. Suryah highlighted an incident where a DMK councilor in Trichy resorted to self-immolation in protest against the DMK Mayor’s refusal to implement developmental schemes in his ward. Suryah’s query to Stalin “Are you administrating #PuppetChiefMinister @mkstalin?”

Delhi Police Registers FIR Against DMK Min Anbarasan For His “Will Tear Modi To Pieces” Remark

The Delhi Police has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against Tamil Nadu minister T M Anbarasan for purportedly making menacing statements towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public gathering. The FIR was registered at the Parliament Street police station on 13 March 2024 following a complaint by Supreme Court advocate Satya Ranjan Swain.

Tha Mo Anbarasan, the DMK Minister responsible for MSME and the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitation Development Board, has been charged under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 153, 268, 503, 505, and 506.

DMK Minister TM Anbarasan sparked a significant uproar when a video surfaced capturing him making threatening statements towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at a public event, the DMK Minister’s remarks implied a more aggressive stance, suggesting that if he weren’t holding ministerial office, he would resort to violence against PM Modi.

In the video, Anbarasan criticizes PM Modi’s leadership style, asserting that the Prime Minister’s threats against their party are unacceptable. He emphasizes the history and sacrifices of the DMK, indicating that they won’t back down easily from any challenges posed by the current administration.

He stated, “We have see many prime ministers, we haven’t seen a PM who spoke like this, He said he will eradicate the DMK, will you eradicate it? Let me tell you one thing, DMK is not an ordinary party it was built over the life sacrifice of many and was built by shedding blood. Those who said DMK would be eradicated have perished. DMK will stand strong. Remember that. You go elsewhere and see, I’m being soft because I am a minister else I will tear you apart into pieces.

Many BJP functionaries on social media brought the problematic speech to spotlight. BJP Tamil Nadu social media functionary Karthik Gopinath, posted a video explaining the DMK Minister’s speech in Hindi.

Tamil Nadu BJP president, K Annamalai, strongly criticized hate speech from a DMK minister on 13 March 2024 in his official X handle expressed, “With frustration creeping up with the rise in Anti-incumbency in TN, DMK Ministers are going to the extent of issuing threats to our Hon PM Thiru@narendramodi avl. DMK will soon be vanishing from the political space for their constant rants such as these, divisive politics, corrupt nature, affiliation with Int’l drug peddlers, goondaism & misgovernance.”

Remains Of 10th Century Chola-Era Shiva Temple Unearthed Near Tiruverambur, Tiruchirapalli

Tamil Nadu is renowned for its historical prominence under the reign of the triumvirate emperors: the Cheras, Cholas, and Pandyas. During their rule, literature, art, culture, ethics, and values flourished, reaching their zenith. A significant aspect of their legacy lies in their extensive donations to temples and architectural marvels. Notably, the Imperial Cholas, known for their devotion to Shaivism, established their ancient capital in Urayur near Trichy. Recent excavations near Tiruverumbur, Trichy have unveiled the magnificence of their reign, shedding light on their glorious past.

In Kumbakudi near Tiruverumpur, an ancient temple dating back to the 10th century AD has been unearthed. Despite its dilapidated state, the local Shiva worship group, in collaboration with villagers, undertook the task of renovating and restoring the temple. In honor of Shivratri, a special worship ceremony was organized within its precincts. Dhanasekhar, an employee at the central government’s HABP factory in Trichy, notified the Aatrupadai Historical Society about the discovery of this ancient temple.

Parthiban, a member of the Aatrupadai Historical Society who led the survey, noted that the temple’s stone carvings, dating back to the Chola period, were in a state of disrepair. An inscription attributed to Vikrama Chola within the temple provides insights into the town’s history, referring to it as a subdivision of “Pandiya Kulasani Valanatu Tenkarai Brahma Theyam Sri Cholamadevi Chaturvedi Mangalam”. Here, Brahma deyam signifies the land gifted to Brahmins for the management of temple affairs, while Chaturvedi mangalam denotes the lands allocated for the study of the four Vedas.

The name “Kumpakudi” has persisted for over a millennium according to the inscriptions. It is documented that an official named Kumbakkudi Natalvan, Vellalar from Kavir Naadu, and along with Cholamadevi Sabha, contributed land to the temple. Additional inscriptions mention Anbilurudayar and Thiruvenkadudayar near Lalgudi. Parthiban suggests that a study of the temple’s scattered construction stones could yield valuable insights into life during the Chola period.

Dravidian Model: TN Police Goes All The Way To Bihar To Arrest Online Troll, He Was Earlier Targeted By Self-Styled Fact-Checker Zubair Rewarded By Stalin Govt

In another dramatic action, Tamil Nadu Police landed up in Bihar to arrest a social media troll for posting a meme on DMK Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development of Tamil Nadu and son of Chief Minister MK Stalin. It is alleged that the police have arrested the brother of the person in question.

It is said that The Squint was facing arrest because he shared a morphed picture of Udhayanidhi Stalin handing over an award to alleged fact-checker Mohammed Zubair where the award was allegedly morphed into something else.

In January 2024, another Congressi handle @TeamSaath which is known for doxxing non-left handles critical of the Congress or the “minority” community, tagged DMK’s Udhayanidhi Stalin and alleged fact-checker Zubair on Squint’s post which was supposedly a meme on the former. They also tagged MK Stalin and TN police.

Before that, AltNews in February 2024 came up with an article that claimed Squint was “harassing Hindu women” who were in a relationship with Muslim men.

The Squint had only posted a funny meme which many said was in bad taste.

This led to a case being filed against The Squint by TN Police. Zubair playing his role to the T even posted this where he seemed to be issuing veiled threats. He wrote, “What’s the use of deleting old controversial and doxxing tweets. All your tweets were archived. @TheSquind”

TN Police which seems to have their priorities jumbled landed up in Bihar and allegedly harassed the family members of The Squint. It is said that they arrested his brother who did not even have a social media presence.

AltNews has been known to doxx handles on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). During one such doxxing exercise, Sinha exposed a young boy who goes by the name The Squint (a wordplay on The Quint). This led to his profile being suspended by the then Twitter.

Squint returned to the platform as The Squint (@squindneon) and was exposing anti-nationals and those who were indulging in love jihad.

Following the arrest, DMK supporters such as rabid Dravidian Stockist DMK supporter with the X handle name “Surya Born To Win” rejoiced that TN Police landed up in Bihar. Going by his post, one can deduce that if making ugly memes was a crime, then the supporters of the DMK are criminals for all the kinds of nasty posts they make against Brahmins, Hindu Dharma, and politicians of the BJP.

The same Surya also noted why The Squint was trending – because the great TN Police was in Bihar looking for him

This rabid DMK supporter Surya Born To Win had called the north Indian states as “Cow belt states”. He also made racist comments by branding the people living in these states saying “Illiterate, communal bigots don’t want development”.

Surya Born To Win is close to the ruling DMK establishment and is known for spewing venom against Hindus and BJP supporters.

He has also spewed abuse on journalists critical of the DMK and casteist venom especially if the journalists happen to be from the Brahmin community.

It is noteworthy that Tamil Nadu Police went behind Manish Kashyap for a fake video. Manish Kashyap, a YouTuber from Bihar, imprisoned over a fake video alleging assault on Bihari migrants in Tamil Nadu, has been granted bail in all cases. He surrendered in March 2023, after his house was confiscated. Tamil Nadu Police detained him, but the Madras High Court quashed the detention order and dropped NSA charges. The video was found fabricated by Rakesh Ranjan Kumar. Bihar EOU filed four cases against Kashyap, while Tamil Nadu Police filed 13, naming him in six. Chief Justice Chandrachud questioned the necessity of the NSA against him. Kashyap awaits release pending formalities from Beur jail.

Another instance where TN Police prioritised filing cases and arresting netizens and journalists is the case of journalist Abhijit Majumder. The police went all the way to a Noida-based media house looking for Abhijit without issuing any summons. This incident stems from a piece Abhijit had written earlier in September 2023 for FirstPost, where he analysed the political ramifications of a controversial speech delivered by Udhayanidhi Stalin, the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.

Here are some other recent instances where the Tamil Nadu police have been actively pursuing individuals critical of the ruling DMK:

  • The Commune and its directors faced legal action for reporting on the confrontation between Podu Deekshitars of the Chidambaram Nataraja Temple and HR&CE officials.
  • Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary SG Suryah was taken into custody under non-bailable sections for his comments regarding Madurai CPI-M MP Su Venkatesan concerning a sanitation worker’s tragic death during drain cleaning in Pennadam town, Cuddalore district.
  • An AIADMK IT wing member was apprehended under non-bailable sections for sharing a video meme that humorously referenced MK Stalin’s video statement on Senthilbalaji’s arrest. The meme did not contain derogatory content.
  • A Pro-BJP Twitter user was arrested for sharing an old article and allegedly misattributing DMK to an illegal liquor-producing gang in Tiruppur, following the recent hooch tragedy in Marakkanam.
  • Vice President of Tamil Nadu BJP’s Industrial Cell, Selva Kumar, was arrested for criticizing DMK Minister Senthilbalaji.
  • The admin of Voice of Savukku Shankar X handle was arrested for a video meme targeting CM MK Stalin and DMK Minister PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan regarding the “eligible household” clause in the monthly assistance scheme for women.
  • The DMK government traveled to Gujarat to arrest BJP cadre John Ravi, who had made satirical social media posts about CM MK Stalin and his late father, Karunanidhi.
  • A member of TTV Dhinakaran’s AMMK was arrested for posting a meme mocking the Tamil Nadu sports ministry led by Udhayanidhi Stalin.
  • Political commentator Kishore K Swamy was detained for posts critical of MK Stalin related to monsoon preparations. Previously, he had been subjected to the Goondas Act for criticizing DMK leaders Karunanidhi, Stalin, and Annadurai.
  • DMK critic YouTuber-turned-BJP cadre Karthik Gopinath was arrested for raising funds for temples in Siruvachur, Perambalur district, which had been vandalized by miscreants.
  • BJP supporter and political analyst Krishna Kumar Murugan was arrested in connection with alleged ‘defamatory’ posters caricaturing MK Stalin.
  • YouTuber Maridhas was taken into custody for a video discussing Tablighi Jamaat and a tweet related to the late Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat.
  • Naam Tamilar functionary Ganesh Kumar alias Nila Kannan was apprehended for posting an image of the late DMK leader Karunanidhi being served food by three different women.
  • A critic of the DMK, Badri Seshadri, was arrested for his comments in an interview on a YouTube channel regarding the Manipur issue, during which he made remarks about the Chief Justice of India.
  • TN BJP Functionary Pravin Raj was arrested in the wee hours of 1 October 2023 for his posts targeting the ruling party and the Congress.
  • N Muthuramalingam, the State Propaganda Secretary of South India Forward Bloc, was arrested for expressing his views on Facebook regarding the release of terrorists convicted in the 1998 Coimbatore serial blasts case. Muthuramalingam had criticized Dravidian parties for considering the release of 36 prisoners, including those convicted for life in the Coimbatore terror attack, leading to his arrest.
  • BJP IT Wing & Social Media State Secretary Trichy Pugal Machendran was arrested in January 2024 for sharing a Facebook post regarding the president of the All India Jihad Committee, Palani Baba, also known as Ahmed Ali on his death anniversary. Pugal’s statement allegedly celebrates the death of the president of the All India Jihad Committee Palani Baba, referred to as a “poisonous influence”.

Many on social media condemned the arrest of Squint Neon saying that instead of arresting those who are involved in drug smuggling, the DMK is abusing the official machinery to target critics.

Sun News Goes On A Rant After Sarath Kumar Joins BJP, Actor Trolls Them On Camera

On 12 March 2024, actor R Sarath Kumar merged his party, the All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi (AISMK), with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu. This merger caused controversy, with the DMK and its associates struggling to accept regional parties aligning with a national entity, especially the BJP. Despite attempts to undermine the merger through various narratives, including those spread on social media proved futile, leading to mockery directed back at themselves.

The Sun News channel, affiliated with the DMK’s first family, launched into an intense series of rants on its social media and news channel beginning at 1 PM in the afternoon lasting until 6 pm in the evening, with gap ranging from 5 to 10 minutes between each update. Following a brief intermission after 3 PM, the pace slowed a bit, but the channel continued intermittently until 6 PM, striving to shape narratives.

It began with news card segments immediately after announcement after the merger, “The party chief Sarath Kumar merged his All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi with the BJP.”

Then, it solicited opinions from viewers, before reposting the same message with the party affiliation crossed out.

Updates followed, quoting Sarath Kumar’s perceived significance in national politics.

The channel mockingly ranted again, “The political landscape of Tamil Nadu witnesses the largest political party  AISMK merger with the BJP!”

Then another news card declared, “The party head office was ready for the last event of the AISMK..!”

An image featuring Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai and AISMK chief Sarath Kumar prompted viewers to provide captions.

Subsequently, the channel highlighted party members’ discontent peddling narrative as entire party, with a news card stating, “SMK executives strongly oppose the BJP-AISMK merger! Tension arose as an SMK executive walked out of the meeting protesting the merger of the party.”

Then theyshared Sarathkumar’s statement, “I asked my wife Radhika and joined SMK with BJP! – Sarathkumar

As a true mouthpiece of the ruling DMK, the channel mourned, “AISMK concludes its political journey, which began in 2007 and ended in 2024.”

Lacking fresh content, it delved into Sarath Kumar’s social media and posted, “Within minutes of joining the BJP, Sarath Kumar becomes part of Modi’s family!”

Expressing the displeasure of SMK party members, the channel peddled a narrative where it stated, “Joining the party without consulting my wife was a mistake!” The party executive was angered by Sarath Kumar’s remark that he consulted his wife before joining the BJP.

As the rants progressed, the channel slowed its posts but continued to criticize Sarath Kumar by sharing old videos where he opposed the BJP in the previous alliance.

Then over two posts, they shared pictures of Sarath Kumar’s car which previously had his party flag which later turned to BJP.

At 6 PM, the rant concluded with a video outlining Sarath Kumar’s political journey from 1996 to 2024.

Today, the Sun News channel resumed its rant, ridiculing Sarath Kumar’s decision to consult his wife regarding the party merger. It juxtaposed this against the DMK’s stance on women empowerment, as advocated by their ideologue EV Ramasamy, suggesting a contradiction within their followers who criticize their own ideology.

Sarath Kumar swiftly responded, “They mock me for not being able to sleep at night… I consulted my wife for her opinion. Who else would I consult other than my wife?

However, what turned out to be amusing was that Sarath Kumar, who had been ridiculed by the channel, retaliated sarcastically during a reporters’ meeting by mocking the same channel in front of them. This incident was later shared by the same Sun News channel without realizing that they had been mocked. When asked if he would be given any responsibility in the BJP, Sarath Kumar responded, “I did not come to BJP for responsibility, I came to act responsibly.”

The reporters then quoted party cadre as saying that Sarath Kumar must be announced as the CM candidate. To this he replied, “People can think whatever they want, see you yourself are thinking – if something is going fine, you think why it is going fine. You are trying to set a narrative. As far as I am concerned, I don’t deviate from anything, I won’t deviate from anything, if I make a decision, I will stick firmly to it. Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam should know that, and I am more happy than that, why because they have put 37 tweets, even for Kalaignar’s death they did not post so much.

Later, he expressed satisfaction, stating that the content was enjoyable and engaging. He confidently predicted that the BJP would secure victory for the third consecutive time at the centre, encouraging the news channel to share this news with a smile.

Even the admin of the DMK Sun news channel took this troll seriously, issuing a breaking news card without realizing that Sarath Kumar was mocking them.

The online community ridiculed the Sun News channel by meticulously tallying their critical posts targeting Sarath Kumar. They delved into the matter further and found amusement in it.

“The Hard Disk Went Missing, We Lost 21 Days’ Footage”, Says Lal Salaam Director Aishwarya Rajinikanth On Not Being Able To Deliver A Good Film

In a recent interview with Vikatan, Aishwarya Rajinikanth opened up about the challenges faced during the shooting of her latest film, ‘Lal Salaam’.

Beginning the interview by acknowledging the response of the public to her film, she claimed that her directorial vision was not what the people liked and much similar to our review, the film was a confusing mess

She revealed that they encountered a major setback when they lost 21 days’ worth of footage, leading to significant reshoots and compromises in editing. “We were shocked as we lost 21 days of footage. It was a huge irresponsibility. It’s unfortunate. During the shooting, we had 500 junior artists almost every day. As a team, we were 2,000 people. We had a 10-camera set-up to shoot a cricket match. Since we didn’t have enough days, we brainstormed on camera angles to shoot a match. The entire cricket match footage was lost. It went missing,” Aishwarya said.

Despite completing the shooting, Aishwarya explained that they faced budget constraints and logistical issues preventing them from opting for reshoots immediately.  “The shooting was completed – Appa [Rajinikanth], Vishnu Vishal, and Senthil had changed their getups. We couldn’t go for reshoot because of budget constraints and logistical issues. Then we re-edited the film with the footage we had. It was a huge challenge. Rajinikanth and Vishnu Vishal then suggested going for a re-shoot as they didn’t want me to compromise on the quality. We couldn’t completely shoot, but took a few shots and managed the rest.
