These 3Cs Will Influence The 2029 Lok Sabha Election

All of us have seen that the political dynamics have changed quite a bit post the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Now we have an emboldened opposition, especially the Congress, who thinks they have an upper hand and is charged up to corner the Modi Government from every quarter at the drop of a hat. Unfortunately for Narendra Modi, a series of unfavorable incidents have cropped up like the sudden increase in terrorist attacks in Kashmir, the NEET and NTA issue, train accidents and so on. Narendra Modi has dealt with such issues smartly earlier too but this time he and his party have to reinvent themselves given they are a bit lesser than majority this time in the Lok Sabha and voices of criticism will be shriller with the passage of time. When a strong person gets a little weaker, the people who used to fear him earlier will come out and challenge more boldly than ever.  Narendra Modi has not shown any sign of weakness so far be it in managing his main allies, the JDU and TDP, allocating his cabinet ministers etc. which is a good start albeit the coming years are going to be tougher than the last 10 years for him.

In the next 4 and a half years, these 3Cs are going to influence the prospects of BJP and the opposition – Caste, Communication and Courage. By caste, I obviously mean the different castes in Hindus as no politician talks about castes in any other religion in India. The Opposition is going to play hard on the caste card. They will try to play to the galleries and promise anything under the sun to get the votes of particular sections of the Hindu community be it in the upcoming assembly elections or the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. They will go all out to ensure that BJP fails to consolidate the Hindu votes in anyway. They anyways have the full support of the minority communities especially the Muslims. BJP must counter this challenge with shrewd strategies and might have to play to the galleries also whether they like it or not. If BJP has to win, they don’t have any other go but to get the caste equation right in every single election going forward. There will be no room for any mistakes. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah understands this very well.

The second C, Communication, is another vital skill that BJP has to master and take to the next level. Congress is already showing signs of better coordinated communication which continues even now post elections. They seem to have a better coordination and well thought out communication strategy. I am not talking about the morality of the message being communicated but the way in which its being communicated to the general public. Agniveer issue raised by the Congress is a classic example. Congress confidently and aggressively raised the Agniveer issue. They first said in Parliament that Agniveer is not being compensated. Then they changed the tone, after the Indian Army rebutted with data. Now they go on to say that insurance is not compensation and that Agniveers are not being treated equal to any other Jawans.

We clearly saw that BJP has not been good at rebutting this allegation in a creative, forceful, data driven using various modes like on-ground communication, social media videos other than the same video of Agniveer Ajay’s family saying they actually got the money. At least, I didn’t see them cornering the Congress aggressively and taking an upperhand in this narrative. The fact that some retired army professionals rebutting vehemently and some also raising concerns on the manner of rollout of the Agniveer program at this very same time shows that the Congress has been able to raise some questions and confusion in the minds of public through some coordinated effort and its now upon BJP to counter and bring confidence in everyone’s minds through a comparatively better communication strategy.

Although BJP core supporters will not have any doubts, the issue is of the public at large. Agniveer is just one example and there will a barrage of such arrows that the opposition is going to shoot at BJP. Modi’s party has to start being doubly proactive and shoot at the opposition first with issues that will not give them room to come up with fresh salvos through a re-invigorated communication strategy and stronger communication team. They have the resources and skillsets to do this. It’s a matter of coming up with a good communication plan that is forward looking and that has already factored possible future issues and portrays BJP as having the comfortable upper hand always as was the case earlier.

The final C is Courage. Modi and BJP must have the courage to go all out to tackle the problems that opposition creates even before they create. There will be “andolans”, country wide strikes, yatras, instigations taking various forms which the emboldened opponent forces will courageously orchestrate. Everyone knows that protests are not illegal but this time Narendra Modi has to crush any politically motivated, anti-state, non-genuine endeavors with an iron hand without bothering about international repercussions or any loss of image internally, like Lee Kuan Yew did for Singapore, before they become mass movements which go against the interests of the country itself.

Also, a section of the nation loving Hindus is expecting Narendra Modi to move from soft Hindutva to hard Hindutva and he has to take some bold measures in order to avoid losing this segment totally this time. For e.g. implementing UCC, CAA, NRC etc. is going to be very tough and needs lot of political courage especially with a stronger opposition filled with vengeance that is ready to go to any extent to dethrone Modi after failing for a third time in 2024. It’s true that to do something right needs more courage than to do anything by hook or crook when one doesn’t have any moral accountability and the agenda is just to beat someone. Therefore, I conclude that the 3Cs – Caste, Communication and courage is going to significantly influence the prospects of the political parties in the run up to the next Lok Sabha elections in 2029. Let’s hope Bharat emerges the winner at the end of the day after all the expected turbulence in the coming years!

DMK Member Arul Suspected To Be Involved In TN BSP Leader Armstrong Murder

Armstrong, the Tamil Nadu state president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), was brutally hacked to death outside his residence in Perambur about a week ago. The police have arrested eleven individuals in connection with the murder, detaining them for five days for interrogation at the Joint Commissioner’s office in Parangimalai.

The motive behind Armstrong’s murder is believed to be revenge for the killing of rowdy Arcot Suresh. Initially, it was thought that Armstrong’s brother, Ponnai Balu, was killed in retaliation for Suresh’s murder. However, recent investigations by the Crime Branch-Criminal Investigation Department (CBCID) have revealed that Arul, a 33-year-old lawyer from Tiruvallur district and a member of the DMK, masterminded the murder.

Police reports indicate that Arul closely monitored Armstrong with the help of his friends and executed his plan. Arul allegedly procured the weapons used in the murder, which were later discovered hidden in the homes of their relatives from Tiruninavur.

The police are specifically investigating DMK Branch Secretary Kalai M Srinivasan, Satish, and Naresh from Nathamedu village in Tiruvallur district.

Investigations have further uncovered that Arul meticulously instructed the mercenaries to target and sever Armstrong’s bleeding veins to ensure fatal injuries. Additionally, another lawyer is suspected to be involved in the conspiracy, and police efforts are underway to identify this individual.

The police are also investigating the financial trail linked to Armstrong’s murder. They are scrutinizing the bank accounts of the 11 detainees and examining all money transfers made to them over the past six months. Additionally, their WhatsApp call logs are being analyzed to uncover any further connections or communications related to the crime.

The revelation of a DMK executive’s involvement in the murder has caused more and more eyebrows to be raised with regard to the murder.

Modi Govt To Issue ₹100 Coin In Commemoration Of DMK Patriarch Karunanidhi’s Birth Centenary

PM Modi Hails Late DMK Patriarch Karunanidhi

The Union Finance Ministry has approved the issuance of a commemorative coin “honoring” the late DMK patriarch M. Karunanidhi, following a request from the DMK government in Tamil Nadu. A notification has also been published in the Government Gazette regarding the same.

The MK Stalin-led DMK government in Tamil Nadu had proposed to the Union government to mark the birth centenary of Karunanidhi with a commemorative coin that says “Mutthamizh Arignar Kalaignar Dr. M. Karunanidhi”. Last year, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s administration requested the Central Finance Ministry to issue the ₹100 commemorative coin on June 3 to mark Karunanidhi’s 100th birthday. However, due to procedural delays, the coin was not released on the specified date. With all procedures now completed, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has given the approval for the coin.

According to reports, the Karunanidhi commemorative coin will feature the words “Tamil Vellum” in both Hindi and English, along with the name “Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi.”

In addition to the Karunanidhi coin, the Finance Ministry has also approved commemorative coins for the 75th anniversary of the Supreme Court and the centenary of the Mumbai Stock Exchange.

Previously, commemorative coins have been issued in honor of Tamil Nadu leaders, including former Chief Ministers Kamaraj, CN Annadurai, and AIADMK founder Dr. MG Ramachandran, as well as various artists.

For the Karunanidhi coin, a specimen drawing was obtained from the Tamil Nadu government and finalized by the Union Finance Ministry.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government’s request for a commemorative coin for former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa remains pending. In 2020, then Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami submitted a request to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, but the Central government has been reluctant to issue the coin due to Jayalalithaa’s conviction in a corruption case.

India began issuing commemorative coins in 1964, with the first coin honoring Jawaharlal Nehru, the country’s first Prime Minister. These coins are issued by the Reserve Bank of India under the directives of the Ministry of Finance.

About Karunanidhi

Born as Dakshinamurthy, Karunanidhi went on to become the DMK president after its founder CN Annadurai. Karunanidhi’s ascension to the top post made the DMK a dynastic party with the party coming under the stranglehold of his family. Karunanidhi has made several controversial statements regarding Hindus and Hinduism. One such remark in 2002, Karunanidhi referred to Hindus as ‘thieves’.

At that time, Karunanidhi argued that all he said was that even those who supported the Hindu religion interpret the word Hindu as thief. “Maybe it means someone who steals the heart.”, he had said during the controversy.

In 2007 the Sethusamudram project was withdrawn due to technical difficulties of shallow water. At the backdrop, Karunanidhi rhetorically asked, “Who is this Raman? In which engineering college did he study and become a civil engineer? When did he build this so-called bridge? Is there any evidence for this?”

Karunanidhi has also written short stories and sometimes employed Hindu deities as characters in his stories, often distorting and misrepresenting them with sexual perversion.

He has also abused his political opponents. There are several instances where the late former Chief Minister Karunanidhi insulted and mocked Kamaraj. During his tenure as Chief Minister, the late DMK leader Karunanidhi mandated that all panchayat council chiefs be addressed as “Perunthalaivar.” However, this directive was rescinded on 3 April 1987 after MG Ramachandran (MGR) assumed power. Several cartoons mocking Kamarajar (sometimes with racist and casteist insinuations) were published in DMK’s official mouthpiece.

Germany’s First Black Lawmaker Won’t Seek Re-Election, Alleges Death Threats; Mainstream Media Downplays Impact

The recent announcement by Germany’s first Black lawmaker, Karamba Diaby, that he will not seek re-election in the upcoming parliamentary elections has been portrayed by many media outlets as a personal decision to spend more time with family. However, this perspective overlooks the significant issue of racism and the increasing threats faced by immigrants in European states.

Karamba Diaby, a Senegal-born lawmaker who made history by becoming the first African-born Black person elected to the German Bundestag in 2013, has faced relentless threats from neo-Nazis and right-wing extremists throughout his political career. His office has been targeted multiple times, including incidents involving gunfire and arson. Despite these severe threats, Diaby emphasized that racism and hatred are not the primary reasons for his decision to step down, but rather a desire to allow younger people to take on leadership roles.

The severity of the threats faced by Diaby, which include death threats and attacks on his team, has raised alarms about the safety and acceptance of immigrants and minorities in Germany. Diaby has been vocal about the rise in xenophobic hate crimes and the role of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in fostering an environment of fear and hostility. According to Diaby, the AfD’s rhetoric in the Bundestag, filled with hatred towards migrants and minorities, has contributed significantly to this toxic atmosphere.

This troubling trend is not isolated to Germany. Across Europe, there is growing concern about the increasing normalization of violence and verbal hostility towards immigrants, fueled by far-right groups and exacerbated by social media platforms that spread false information and reinforce extremist views. The case of Diaby illustrates the broader issue of political violence and intimidation that is becoming more prevalent, threatening the fabric of democratic societies.

The media’s focus on Diaby’s personal reasons for leaving politics and the lack of emphasis on the racist attacks he has endured underscores a broader reluctance to confront and address the systemic racism affecting immigrants in Europe. This downplaying of the real issues at hand not only undermines the experiences of those targeted by racism but also risks eroding the democratic values that these societies claim to uphold.

Experts warn that if more immigrant and minority politicians withdraw from public life due to safety concerns, it could lead to a significant democratic deficit. The situation calls for greater awareness, stronger protections for at-risk politicians, and a more honest media discourse about the challenges facing immigrant communities in European political spaces.

As Germany and other European nations grapple with these issues, the gap between official democracy rankings and the lived experiences of minority politicians becomes increasingly apparent, raising questions about the true state of inclusivity and representation in European democracies.

Suriya Who Opposed Hindi Imposition, Had North-Indian Character Slapped In Jai Bhim For Speaking Hindi, Attends Ambani Family Wedding

In what can be seen as yet another display of blatant hypocrisy by virtue signalling Kollywood actor Suriya and his wife Jothika, they were seen marking their attendance at Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani’s wedding with his long-time fiancee Radhika Merchant.

The husband-wife duo has indulged in virtue-signalling the public over Hindi, over building hospitals and schools instead of temples in the past. Here is a look at their past actions.

Suriya

In 2019, Suriya opposed the National Education Policy’s three-language system. However, when it came to his own film, Kanguva, he posted on his social media X handle in six languages, including Hindi, to promote the film. Suriya had argued that the policy imposed Hindi on non-Hindi-speaking states and disadvantaged rural students.

After all the talk about Hindi imposition, Suriya and his family including his wife Jothika and two children moved to Mumbai in March 2023 into a ₹70 crore apartment.

In his film, Jai Bhim, in the Tamil version, there is a scene where a character gets slapped for speaking in Hindi. In the scene, Prakash Raj, who plays the role of a police officer, slaps a north Indian (who has been stereotyped as aMarwariSeth) for speaking in Hindi and asks him to speak in Tamil. This scene is however absent in the Hindi version of the film. Many pointed out that this was deliberately done to appease the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu, the party which is known for inciting hatred in the name of a non-existentHindi imposition’.

Jothika

In a speech at an awards ceremony in 2020, Jyothika recounted that the Brihadeeshwara temple with all its grandeur reminded her of the palaces in Udaipur. As a part of her shooting, she had to visit a hospital that she found was poorly maintained. She used the awards ceremony as a platform to make apublic requestthat people should donate money to schools and hospitals instead of putting money in temple hundi. She went on to say that schools and hospitals are just as important, if not more so, and that they deserve more support from the public.

Netizens questioned whether Jothika advised the Ambanis on how not to waste money on wedding and instead build hospitals and schools.

Mega Meltdown Of Congress & Its Supporters As Modi Govt Declares Constitution Violence Day

On 12 July 2024, the Modi government announced that every year 25 June will be observed as “Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas” to remember how then PM Indira Gandhi imposed Emergency in 1975 on the same day and strangled the soul of democracy. Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to his official X handle and wrote, “On June 25, 1975, the then PM Indira Gandhi, in a brazen display of a dictatorial mindset, strangled the soul of our democracy by imposing the Emergency on the nation. Lakhs of people were thrown behind bars for no fault of their own, and the voice of the media was silenced. The Government of India has decided to observe the 25th of June every year as ‘Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas.’ This day will commemorate the massive contributions of all those who endured the inhuman pains of the 1975 Emergency. #SamvidhaanHatyaDiwas”

This led to a severe meltdown among Congress members and supporters. Here is a look at their meltdown.

Jairam Ramesh

Congress member and General Secretary in-charge Communications called the announcement a “headline-grabbing exercise” and took the chance to attack PM, Modi. He called the recent Parliamentary election victory a “moral victory” for the “non-biological” PM

Priyanka Chaturvedi

A former Congress member and current member of Shiv Sena UBT, a Rajya Sabha MP, and Deputy Leader of the party, Chaturvedi also had a meltdown. She wrote two posts on her X handle on this matter. She claimed the Emergency was applied because there was a Constitutional availability of the clause. She also added, “It can be excesses of emergency and undermining authority to declare it yes or even the political reason for declaring emergency yes but it definitely cannot be death of constitutionality!”

In her next post, she accused Union HM Amit Shah of not choosing priorities properly. She parrotted Sardesai’s lines and wrote, “As of July 2023, India’s median age was 28.2 years HM Amit Shah doesn’t want to talk of their unemployment concerns, inflation concerns, paper leak concerns, future concerns But wants to give them a history lesson of what happened when they weren’t even born and something that doesn’t impact their present or future Talk of priorities.”

Sagarika Ghose

TMC RS MP Sagarika Ghose and wife of journalist Rajdeep Sardesai decided to write a pun for a post on the matter. She decided to call the day of announcement of demonetisation as “economic hatya divas” and the day of Babri demolition asitihaas hatya divas”. Very creative!

Self-Proclaimed Journalists

Rajdeep Sardesai

Senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai stated that the majority population of the country was born after the Emergency period and thought talking about the Emergency was “taking them back into the past” and called for “changing the Emergency mindset” – well, only he knows what that means.

Rohini Singh

Journalist Rohini Singh stated there was an undeclared emergency for the past 5 years, were you aware of it?

Another self-proclaimed journalist, Arvind Gunasekar wanted to declare 30 January as “Gandhi Hatya Divas”. Well!

Deputy Editor of The Hindu, Vijaita Singh was “quoting facts”. She spotted that there was no English translation of “Samvidhaan Hatya Divas” in the official gazette and that it will be known by its Hindi name in English letters.” What a discovery!

A Congress TaskForce member had a very confused reaction after the announcement. He called for ban of RSS after I.N.D.I Alliance came to power and then said that if they do come to power, the alliance will not “rename” days. Well, who will tell him!

Here are some more reactions from Congress supporters which we are not able to make sense of – if you can, do let us know.

A Congress supporter named Sachin Tandon called it a “half a brain” attempt – well, even we are not sure what it means.

Here is another supporter who has written half-baked content on the announcement. They wrote, “how can it be samvidhaan hatya hen the emergency was in the constitution. has anyone in the current government actually touched the constitution or glanced through it”

Another came up with a conspiracy theory that it might actually be the BJP’s plan!

Yet another stated that provisions for the Emergency always existed in the Constitution. He also called it stupid and that the Constitution was always dynamic.

Another supporter named Rakhi Tripathi decided to call 30 January “Kaala diwas” or Black Day and wanted to announce Nathuram Godse as “independent India’s first terrorist”.

A Congress supporter who happens to be a “journalist” misunderstood HM’s post about observing the day as “Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas” and thought the government was “celebrating” the day!

“Palani And Marudhamalai Are Not Lord Murugan’s Abodes, The Deities There Are Not Murugan But Siddhars”, Says Self-Anointed Dravidianist ‘Spiritual Speaker’ Suki Sivam

Suki Sivam, a renowned Tamil orator, writer, and self-proclaimed scholar known for subtly intertwining Dravidianist ideology into his spiritual talks, is once again under fire from netizens. He is facing criticism for allegedly spreading a false narrative during his recent interview on a YouTube channel.

Speaking to a YouTube channel, the focus of the interview was on exploring Suki Sivam’s views on politics and religion.

While Suki Sivam is widely recognized as a spiritual speaker, of late he has been called out for mocking Hindu beliefs in certain discourses, especially on platforms associated with the DMK and Dravidianists. It’s worth noting that Suki Sivam gained popularity through the TV show “Indha Naal Iniya Naal” on Sun TV, which is associated with the DMK family.

The host first queried Suki Sivam about the confusion surrounding his identity in spiritual discourse—whether he is a spiritualist, a rationalist, or both. Suki Sivam described himself simply as Suki Sivam, suggesting that spirituality involves a state of awakening that can sometimes isolate individuals from others. He quoted Osho, stating, “You cannot live in the world without idiocy,” seemingly implying that he adjusts between awakened states, compromise, and occasional folly as he interacts with people.

Unsatisfied with Suki Sivam’s response regarding his spiritual or rational stance, the host directly confronted him. Mentioning spiritual figures like Anandarama Deekshidar, Balakrishna Sashtri, and others did not shift away from spiritual discourse, the host pointed out that Suki Sivam is increasingly criticized for emphasizing rationalist leaning. Suki Sivam acknowledged this criticism and attempted to explain that in the past, superstition prevailed. However, the host countered this assertion even before Suki Sivam uttered the word ‘superstition’, leading Suki Sivam to construct a narrative.

Suki Sivam then argued that in history even though spiritualists and politicians influenced each other but maintained distinct roles. He claimed that politicians have appropriated religion, exclaiming, “The politicians have hijacked religion from me, Suddenly they came running snatched religion from me! No one in this country noticed it; they left their jobs to snatch the religion from my hand, Now, I have to fight to reclaim my child.” He emphasized that politicians’ primary duties are administration, focusing on the nation’s economy, irrigation, employment, health, infrastructure, and culture—not religious affairs. He asserted that he possesses a deeper understanding of religion and firmly believes that politicians should not dictate matters of faith.

When Suki Sivam concluded that the politicians have no business in dictating the matter of faith, the host then pointed out that in Tamil Nadu particular groups are repeatedly ridiculing the faith and teasing, belittling, and insulting the gods indirectly indicating the DMK and the Dravidar Kazhagam. Immediately to buttress the DMK and the Dravidianists, Suki Sivam said, “Those politicians should be defeated in the elections, only by using the voters, we can send those politicians home. How are they victorious again? In a democracy, the people believe that there is something true in their saying.”

He immediately peddled that,Why should the Upanishads come after the Vedas, is the Vedas alone not enough? There is something lacking in it; to bring it to maturity and it becomes Upanishad. If you read the Vedas and the Upanishads, the difference is that in the Vedas there are a lot of prayers and quests, but in the Upanishads, there is wisdom. Now why do the Agamas come after the Vedas and Upanishads to improve a temple system? When implementing this in the society, many confusions come up.” As usual, Suki Sivam constructed a narrative where he described how Hindus historically excluded and discriminated against the downtrodden from temples, later the Mughals and Christians embraced them, resulting in the religion falling into the hands of politicians citing leaders like Narayan Guru and Vivekananda fought for it.

The host then challenged Suki Sivam’s assertion by pointing out that he was referring to Hindu social reformers, while Periyar was an atheist. However, Suki Sivam quickly countered by buttressing E.V. Ramasamy Naicker (EVR), stating, “You should thoroughly examine EVR. Initially, he put his hands on the caste system, then identified its proponents behind caste, attacked it, and then attacked god. In a statement, he said, ‘Is it my fate to speak about it, they made me talk without any other option,’ His focus was societal reform rather than religion.”

In response, Suki Sivam suggested that certain individuals used gods as a cover to destabilize society, indirectly implicating Brahmins. The host pressed for specifics on who these individuals were, but Suki Sivam tactfully sidestepped, citing legal constraints on disclosure and pledging caution. Eventually, Suki Sivam remarked, “Some individuals drove communities away by hiding behind idols of gods.”

A heated debate then erupted between the host and the self-styled spiritualist Suki Sivam. The host argued that while criticizing religious superstitions is acceptable, targeting and ridiculing Hinduism in the name of atheism is unfair. Suki Sivam countered by pointing out that EVR did not engage in electoral politics, but the host countered this by noting that EVR’s followers are now active in elections. Suki Sivam defended the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), saying its followers now advocate “one race, one god,” but the host dismissed this as merely a strategy to gain votes, claiming that EVR lost the battle as his followers eventually accepted the concept of one God.

This criticism angered Suki Sivam, who questioned why there is still fear surrounding discussions about EVR even after his passing. The host then questioned why Suki Sivam continues to ridicule the Vedas despite them being ancient texts with some flaws. Now without any points to counter Suki Sivam strategically steered the debate into philosophy evading politics and EVR.

Then, in a passionate flow, Suki Sivam expressed his reasons for harboring resentment towards Hinduism, stating with arrogance that, “A group that should have followed and respected me disregarded me and created unnecessary animosity due to my caste. They were unwilling to accept my leadership.” The host swiftly countered, attributing the reason to Suki Sivam’s rhetoric presumably the arrogance.

Suki Sivam then seized the opportunity to criticize a Hindu belief where revered gurus are carried on shoulders during festivals as per the devotees’ wishes. Ironically, Suki Sivam acknowledged this as legal but chose to ridicule it, despite advocating for freedom of speech himself. He said, “I did not stop it, but its idiocy.”

The buttressing of the DMK and Dravidian ideology had been somewhat tolerable until now, but this time, Suki Sivam’s statement surprised everyone. When the host asked Suki Sivam about the applicability of Agamas to the Palani temple, he immediately responded that they would not apply, citing the deity known as Sithanathar Swamy and asserting that Murugan there should be presumably be Bogar the Saint. He went on to state that Palani should not be considered one of the six abodes of Murugan.

Suki Sivam stated, “Is there anywhere where the name Siddhanathar exists? It is because he is the leader of the Siddhars. It would be even weirder if I said why; my assumption is that it must be Bogar. The Murugan at Maruthamalai is known as Maruthamalai Andavar, adorned with a Kudumi on his head and a Keepatchi (Dhoti style). The idol develops as the saints around collude with the idol according to the philosophy of Muruga worship. Similarly, Bogar must have been worshipped on the hill as the leader of the Siddhas. In essence, Palani is not among the six abodes of Murugan.

He continued by suggesting that people are not studying history thoroughly and proposed that the Periyanayaki Amman temple located on the outskirts should be considered as one of the abodes. Suki Sivam then addressed the issue of the flagstaff, reiterating that the Palani temple did not originally have one. This claim was challenged by many, prompting him to reinforce that the flagstaff was erected later during the period of SP Balasubramaniam.

ST Funds Scam Accused Buys Lamborghini Car Worth ₹3.3 Cr With Money Meant For Development Of Scheduled Tribes

The principal accused in the ₹94-crore ST fund scandal reportedly purchased a pre-owned Lamborghini from a Hyderabad dealership, using ₹3.3 crore diverted from funds designated for the development of Scheduled Tribes in Karnataka.

However, this extravagant purchase was short-lived. Law enforcement swiftly tracked the money, located the car, seized it, and returned it to the dealer. They also recovered the misappropriated ₹3.3 crore.

According to insider sources, Satyanarayana Varma, 36, was apprehended by the SIT in Hyderabad on June 13. During the operation, authorities seized ₹8.2 crore linked to the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki ST Development Corporation Ltd.

Varma claimed that the Lamborghini had cost him ₹3.3 crore. Following his arrest in Hyderabad, Varma was brought to Bengaluru for further questioning by the SIT. He allegedly admitted to the purchase during interrogation. SIT officials verified this by contacting the dealership, though they did not disclose specifics such as the model of the vehicle involved.

Previously, on 12 July 2024, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has detained former minister B Nagendra, a Congress MLA representing the Ballari Rural constituency. This arrest is part of the ED’s investigation into an alleged scam at the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation, where approximately ₹88 crore is suspected to have been misappropriated.

Following raids conducted at several locations associated with him from 10 to 12th July , Nagendra was escorted to the ED office in Shantinagar, Bengaluru. He is anticipated to be formally arrested later. Nagendra told reporters, “I have no knowledge of any wrongdoing at the corporation. I maintain my innocence and believe I am being targeted as part of a political plot.”

The alleged scandal surfaced after N. Chandrashekharan, a corporation employee, tragically took his own life on May 26, leaving behind a note accusing the “minister” of involvement in the fund embezzlement. Nagendra, who previously served as the Minister for Scheduled Tribes Welfare in Karnataka’s government, resigned from his post on 6 June 2024.

The investigation into these allegations involves three separate agencies: the State Government’s Special Investigation Team (SIT), the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The SIT has already arrested 11 individuals and recovered ₹14.5 crore believed to be part of the misappropriated funds.

Ancient Shiva Temple Unearthed: Ayalavadi Villagers Restore 1000-Year-Old Shrine

The villagers of Ayalavadi in Tiruvannamalai district have successfully renovated a thousand-year-old Lord Shiva temple buried under the soil near a lake. They also performed pooja to the lingam of Lord Aalavai Sundareswarar.

The Aalavai Sundareswarar Temple, which stood for centuries, is situated by the lake in Ayalavadi village adjacent to Vandavasi. Over time, erosion from the lake has washed away the upper part and sides of the temple, causing it to be gradually buried under the soil as the lake shoreline expanded. Only the temple tower remains, now in ruins. For many years, villagers have been able to access the temple through a single entrance, where only one person at a time could bow down and worship.

In response to this situation, the villagers decided to undertake repairs by excavating the temple and removing the soil that covers its upper parts and sides. Using machinery, they are currently working to uncover these areas, and during this process, people have eagerly come to witness and pay homage to the ancient deity. The local community urges the Tamil Nadu government to promptly inspect the temple, allocate necessary funds, and commence reconstruction work before allowing public worship to resume.

Indian 2 Becomes Dravidian 1 And Ends Up As A Flop Show: Save Your Money & Show ‘Zero Tolerance’ To This Nonsense

A classic example of irony dying a thousand deaths would be Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2. Part-time politician Kamal Haasan, a man in bed with the DMK in real life, donning the cap of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose to fight corruption in reel life as ‘Indian’. It’s not just ironic but also moronic.

Indian (1996) became a blockbuster and still remains a cult classic not just because of Kamal Haasan, the star. There was a genuine attempt to bring out the angst of a common Indian against the corrupt system, that he/she deals with on a day-to-day basis. There was a strong storyline with a fine character arc for Senapathy – from a freedom fighter to a vigilante who wouldn’t hesitate to kill his own son to uphold justice. Exposing the audience to Varma Kalai and a gripping screenplay hooked the audience. Powerful dialogues mouthed by Kamal Haasan struck a chord with people because Kamal wasn’t the hypocrite back then, as he is today. Today people can see through the hypocrisy and propaganda coming from a man who has pledged his soul to the DMK.

The film itself is shoddily made. The team has experimented with multiple looks for Kamal Haasan, none of which add value. The long hair-do of Kamal Haasan seems as realistic as the wig of one Dravidian politician. The screenplay is as loose as the morals of a Dravidianist. And the dual mission theme unnecessarily drags the film to three hours. Nothing, I repeat, nothing at all works in the film. Shankar’s same old wine in a new bottle is not ageing well and has in fact become toxic like the methanol that gets formed in bootleg liquor. The effects of watching Indian 2 will be the same as consuming bootleg liquor – your eyes go blind seeing Kamal’s shoddy make up, your ears will stop working due to the loud noise scored by Anirudh, your mind will go numb due to the non-sensical screenplay, you will feel nauseous on listening to Kamal’s dialogues, you will have trouble breathing because of the obnoxious levels of logic of Varma Kalai.

Picture this – there’s a scene where Kamal performs Varma Kalai on a villain and he gallops like a horse. Seriously? To add to the torturous experience is the virtue-signaller Siddarth who has kept his mouth shut on social issues ever since the DMK came to power. His very presence in the movie is repelling and makes the entire film uninteresting. By the time the film ends you wish Indian Thatha had died along with his son in the first part so that we would’ve been spared this nonsense. The fact that you will stay alive after enduring this celluloid torture will haunt you for the rest of your life.

Shankar should consider retiring from film-making and stick to praising good films on Twitter as his films are becoming cringeworthy that are overshadowing his previous blockbusters. Whether it was I, Endhiran 2.0 or Indian 2, it is evident that his filmmaking has reached saturation. He has no original ideas, no imagination, no writing skills. You begin to wonder if he would’ve become this ‘grandeur’ director if not for Sujatha and Balakumaran. And of course, now that he’s chosen to become an agent to further Dravidian propaganda, he will be able to save the respect he’s earned for himself all these years if he stops making films.

Shankar playing to the gallery of DMK gets exposed when he shows all kinds of freebies except the ‘colour TV’. There’s the usual demonization of Gujaratis, parroting the Dravidianists in ridiculing wealth creators like Ambani and Adani. Shankar, Kamal and co have no guts to talk about the illegal river sand mining and quarrying happening in Tamil Nadu but will go all the way to Gujarat (a BJP ruled state) to touch the issue of illegal mining. Have some spine or a little bit of shame Shankar.

‘Indian 2’ will go down as the weakest film in director Shankar’s portfolio. It feels like a movie made out of a discussion from a woke 2K kid’s WhatsApp group.

Instead of spending your quality time and hard-earned money on this non-sensical film, you might as well consider sending it to the account of The Commune as a token of thanks for this write-up – Click here to pay. Your money will help us in the fight against the Leftist-Dravidianist ecosystem in Tamil Nadu.
