Ullal, KA: Hindu Girl Abducted, Islamist Attempts To Forcefully Convert To Islam, Love Jihad Alleged

A troubling case involving suspected love jihad has surfaced in Ullal, where a Hindu girl, who had gone missing recently, was discovered in the company of a notorious Muslim youth near Pandeshwar station. The girl, a BCA student at a prestigious private college in Mangaluru, was allegedly abducted on 4 July 2024 by Mohammad Ashfaq, identified as an Islamist.

Initially, a complaint was filed at Vidyanagar police station, leading to her rescue from Ashfaq’s custody. However, the girl was reportedly kidnapped again on 30 June 2024, with her father later claiming they were in Kochi, Kerala. Mohammad Ashfaq, already married and with a criminal record of eight cases in Vidyanagar police station in Kasaragod, stands accused of abducting the girl and coercing her conversion to Islam. The girl’s father has lodged a formal complaint with the Mangaluru Police Commissioner regarding his daughter’s abduction.

Vinod, the father, visibly distressed before the media in Mangalore, lamented that his daughter, a college student struggling financially, had left without a job, severing family ties. Vinod, a mason from Vidyanagar, detailed how financial constraints had hampered her education at Srinivas College in Mangalore.

It has emerged that she had been in contact with Mohammad Ashfaq, a resident of Vidyanagar, Kasaragod, known for his criminal history across police stations in the area. Despite family objections, she had apparently stayed with relatives and then reconciled with Ashfaq in Ullal, defying her family’s wishes.

Vinod expressed his anguish, questioning what could be done in such a situation and regretting the turn of events. Following his plea, the police have taken the girl to a counseling center in Mangalore and recorded an FIR, although it was reported that she willingly left with Ashfaq, complicating matters for both the family and law enforcement.

Reacting to the incident, Sharan Kumar Pumpwell, a leader from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, condemned what he termed as love jihad, urging vigilance within the Hindu community. He highlighted an increasing trend of Hindu girls being allegedly targeted for conversion under the guise of relationships and marriage in the coastal region. Pumpwell stressed the necessity for stringent laws to address this issue.

Recent reports underscore a rising concern over love jihad in Karnataka, with a pattern of Islamists reportedly misleading Hindu girls, forming relationships with them, and incidents involving abduction and forced conversions. The situation has raised alarm among Hindu communities, calling for decisive measures to counter such practices.

90 Posts, 2.38 Lakh Aspirants For TNPSC Group 1 Highlights Unemployment Crisis In TN, But Dravidianist Media Focused On Gujarat “Job Rush”

The Dravidianist news media is facing criticism for comparing a recent viral video depicting a near-stampede at walk-in interviews in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, where 800 applicants vied for 40 job openings. Opposition parties like Congress used this incident to mock the ruling BJP in Gujarat. Similarly, Tamil Nadu’s Dravidian news media and DMK sympathizers propagated this narrative, omitting the fact that Gujarat’s employment situation is significantly better than Tamil Nadu’s, as indicated by reports from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Institute for Human Development (IHD).

A walk-in interview organized by a chemical firm in Gujarat resulted in chaotic scenes as hundreds of individuals attempted to enter a building supposedly for job interviews. The positions advertised included shift in charge (6-10 years of experience), plant operators (3-8 years), supervisors (4-8 years), mechanical fitters (3-8 years), and ETP executives (4-7 years), targeting experienced professionals seeking job changes. Due to the company’s reputation and competitive salaries, a large crowd gathered, leading to mismanagement and eventually the closure of the venue’s doors as it reached capacity. Opposition parties seized on the incident to criticize the ruling BJP government in Gujarat, falsely claiming it as a failure of the Gujarat model and citing a supposed severe unemployment crisis.

In Tamil Nadu, the DMK family-owned Sun News media propagated misinformation stating, “Rising unemployment – youth crowding out during private sector recruitment in Gujarat.”

In response to attempts to paint Gujarat BJP in a negative light, SG Suryah, the state secretary of Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party, questioned the double standards, asking if other states faced unemployment crises when 2,38,000 applicants competed for just 90 government job vacancies in Tamil Nadu. He criticized the hypocrisy of Dravidian media, suggesting they might support such actions in Tamil Nadu while using similar statistics from other states to criticize them unfairly.

SG Suryah stated, “90 TN Govt Job Vacancies & 2,38,000 aspirants appear for Exam? It tells us that clamour for Govt. Jobs has not faded. But a similar data from some other state is picked up by TN DMK Dravidian channels to paint such states in bad light. Now it’s in TN, Where are you Dravidiyas?

A recent report from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Institute for Human Development (IHD) highlighted that two-thirds of unemployed individuals are young graduates, underscoring the pressing need for immediate policy action. The analysis, based on data from the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) 2022-23, focuses on unemployment among individuals aged 15 and above in major Indian states, excluding Union Territories, using the Usual Principal and Subsidiary Status (UPSS) measurement.

The report indicates that Tamil Nadu lags behind states like Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh in terms of employment rates. It criticizes Dravidian media for predominantly focusing on BJP-ruled states while overlooking these statistics.

P. M. Madurai Pillai: The Forgotten Philanthropist Who Championed Education And Dharma

In the history of Bharat, many greats have had their contributions obscured by the bipolar dynamics of our history. The politics of history dictate who is spoken about, how much, and who is never named. Many of us wouldn’t have heard the story of two ‘obscured’ greats with the same name, confused even by the handful of people who think they know him/them.

In this essay, we will learn about P. M. Madurai Pillai and his contributions to Bharata and Dharma. The other great is M. C. Madurai Pillai, whose contribution is innumerable, too. Often, these two are confused for one another. Many even think it is one person. Therefore, we must dispel these misgivings and bring to light the great contributions of these stalwarts.

P. M. Madurai Pillai was born in Madras on 26 December 1858 and is fondly referred to as Rangoon Madurai Pillai because he made his name in that distant town in Burma. His father, Markandamoorthi, was a wealthy businessman in Madras, and his mother, Ammaniammal, was a homemaker. He did his early education at SPG School, Vepery (now St. Paul’s, Chennai). He was sent to Rangoon, where his family had business interests, for further studies. After finishing high school at St. Paul’s High School in Rangoon, he returned to Madras to complete his education at Madras Christian College.

He started his career as an executive assistant to the 3rd Duke of Buckingham and Chandos, then the Governor of Madras. He then worked in Burma for an organisation called Rangoon Strong Steel. Learning the ropes of trading, exports, and imports, he started his own export-import company – Dubash Steveteren Exports and Imports. He grew his business so much that he bought a mercantile ship in 1912 and named it Meenakshi, after his daughter.

He was one of the most prominent businessmen in Rangoon. With interests across Europe, he was well-travelled and longed for a day when Indians enjoyed a quality of life like those in European nations. From 1880, he served as the Commissioner of the Rangoon Corporation, an appointment he held for the next 30 years. He was also appointed an Honorary Magistrate of Rangoon in 1885.

On the social front, he was one of the leading lights of the Adi Dravida Mahajana Sangam and its chief Patron. He sponsored countless weddings of the poor Dalit and Adivasi people. He donated a portion of his earnings to temples and Dharma-related activities yearly. The Christian Missionaries used pamphlets to spread their religion. Noticing this, Sri Madurai Pillai adopted the same means to spread Dharma by using this medium to tell Indic stories and Puranas.

He was one of the great people who advocated education as the means of liberation and the end of the ills of caste segregation. He donated a lot of money to education-related activities and is said to have funded the start of a school and its running. He was also a prominent donor of a hospital serving the poor and the needy of North Madras, Raja Sir Ramaswamy Mudaliar Lying-in Hospital (RSRM Lying-in-Hospital). His charitable acts were so great that more than 50 Tamil poets came together to publish a book called Madurai Prabandam on him.

In today’s political world, we see a majority of Dalit leaders propagating a victimhood complex to keep their voter base under the cloud of assumed oppression. They cleverly twist the words of Babasaheb Ambedkar, blackout great leaders such as M. C. Rajah, Swami Sahajananda, Rettamalai Srinivasan, M. C. Madurai Pillai and P. M. Madurai Pillai etc. We find three things when we search, discover, and read these leaders.

All these leaders thought education was the be-all and end-all for removing all social inequalities.

Some of these leaders came from a very affluent background. Their previous generation, too, was aware of the value of education; therefore, they placed a lot of importance on going to school and college to finish their education. So, the story of complete oppression because of an imaginary Hindu religious text asking them to be is false.

Sanatana Dharma was ingrained into each person in Bharata, irrespective of caste and creed. You cannot be more Hindu than M. C. Rajah, Swami Sahajananda, Rettamalai Srinivasan, M. C. Madurai Pillai, and P. M. Madurai Pillai, etc. The service they have done to society and Sanatana Dharma is immeasurable.

This great man, P. M. Madurai Pillai, lived among us only for 55 short years and passed away on 15 July 1913. He lived his life as per the saying of Thiruvalluva Nayanar.

From Joe Biden To Johnny Depp, How The Leftist And Democrats Called For Violence Against Trump

Former US President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt on 13 July 2024 during a rally for the upcoming Presidential elections in the United States of America.

On the one hand, American media tried to play down the incident with their extremely toned-down reporting.

On the other, Democrats and leftists – celebrities and politicians alike, called for violence against Donald Trump over the years.

Nancy Pelosi, former Speaker of the US House of Representatives and a member of the Democratic Party, had said, “Throw a punch” – not once but multiple times.

Senator Jon Tester, speaking to MSNBC, said, “Donald Trump, I think we need to go back and punch him in the face.”

Yet another Democrat/supporter says on a TV show that Trump must have been punched in the face.

President Joe Biden himself has called for violence against Trump several times – one of his oft-repeated dialogues is, “I’d take him behind the gym if I were in high school and beat the hell out of him.”

Just a couple of days ago, Biden said, “Most importantly, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart, Trump is a threat to this nation.”

Yet another member of the Democratic Party, Representative Maxine Waters had also said, “I will go and take Trump out tonight!”

Speaking at a public rally, she also instigated violence by saying, “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a dept store, at a gas station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them.”

Former Michigan State Representative, Cynthia A Johnson, was seen (in an older video) warning Trump supporters. She said, “This is just a warning to you Trumpers. Be careful. Walk lightly. And for those of you who are soldiers, make them pay.”

Another Democrat/supporter called for putting “a bullet in Donald Trump.”

Hollywood actors Johnny Depp and Robert De Niro have also been found calling for violence against Trump.

Depp said, “When was the last time an actor assassinated the President?”

De Niro said, “I’d like to punch him in the face.”

Singer Madonna also said, “I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House,”

TV personality and show host Ellen DeGeneres in an episode of her show with current VP Kamala Harris asked Kamala, “If you are stuck in an elevator with President Trump, Mike Pence, or Jeff Sessions, who would it be?” Harris replied, “Just one of us has to come out alive”, followed by her cackling evil-like laughter.

A Democrat on a programme on MSNBC says, “People need to start taking to the streets, this is a dictator.”

US Representative for Massachusetts, Ayanna Pressley says, “There needs to be unrest in the streets for as long as there is unrest in our lives.”

Several others even called for “wringing the neck,” a TV anchor, Samantha Bee asked Trump’s daughter Ivanka “Do something about your dad’s immigration practices, you feckless c*nt”

Another on CNN said, “Biggest ever threat in this country is white men, radicalised to the right”

There have been depictions of violence against Trump in the form of skits, in the form of holding a bloody “head” as Kathy Griffin did in 2017.

It has always been the Democrats and the leftists in America who have called for violence and unrest in the state and violence against Donald Trump.

Their way of words and working is very similar to how the left and Congress supporters call for Modi’s death and violence in India.

Calvary Ministries In Bellampalli, Telangana – A Hub For Exploitation By “Miracle Healers”

On 26 May 2019, a tragic event occurred in Bellampalli, Mancherial district, Telangana, when Girishetti Mangamma, a poor woman, brought her son, Rajesh, suffering from severe fever to Calvary Ministries Church. Believing that the pastor’s prayers could heal her 21-year-old son, Rajesh was initially instructed to sit in the church and participate in prayers with his right palm on his head. However, as Rajesh’s condition worsened, efforts to admit him to a hospital were obstructed by the pastors, leading to his untimely death. Although a case was registered under sections 304-II r/w 420 r/w 34 IPC based on Mangamma’s complaint, it was closed after both parties reached a compromise.

In a similar incident on 25 August 2023, a young man traveled over 200 kilometers from Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, with his deceased mother’s body to Calvary Ministries, hoping Pastor Praveen Kumar could revive her miraculously by touching her head. These incidents have sparked controversy, highlighting the exploitation of vulnerable individuals through false promises of healing and miracles. They underscore the dangers of blind faith and superstition among less educated, impoverished, and marginalized communities.

Calvary Ministries – A Hub For Exploitation

Calvary Ministries in Bellampalli has become a center for promoting superstitions and unfounded beliefs, overshadowing modern medical practices. Individuals are lured to convert to Christianity through displays of miracle cures. They are coerced into donating substantial amounts of cash and goods, including gold ornaments and special gifts to pastors and their spouses. This persuasion often includes subtle threats of divine retribution for non-compliance.

Despite legal actions against the pastors involved, the underlying issues of superstition and exploitation persist, continuing to affect vulnerable communities. These incidents reveal how so-called miracle healers exploit individuals by offering false hope instead of encouraging legitimate medical treatment from hospitals.

Recently, the Kasipet police registered an FIR against the pastors of Calvary Ministries under sections 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015. This case involves accusations that Pastor Praveen Kumar and his wife Sharon subjected a minor girl to cruelty under the pretense of miracle healing. A video uploaded to Praveen Kumar’s YouTube channel on 16 May 2024, claimed they healed a girl undergoing treatment for kidney failure. Despite medical warnings, the girl was brought from the intensive care unit (ICU) to Praveen Kumar’s healing session, where she was coerced into activities against medical advice.

The Legal Rights Protection Forum (LRPF) alerted the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), leading the Mancherial District Collector and the Deputy Commissioner of Police to promptly file an FIR and prepare an action report within three days. The Child Protection Department in Mancherial is currently conducting an active investigation into the girl’s health status and location.

The Kasipet police have filed an FIR under IPC Section 420 and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015. However, questions remain as to why sections of the Drugs & Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act 1954, which directly relate to the incident, were not included in the FIR.

Drugs & Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act 1954

The Drugs & Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act 1954 is an Indian legislation aimed at regulating the advertisement of drugs to prevent misleading claims about their effects. Section 3 of the Act prohibits advertisements that promote drugs for specific purposes such as procuring miscarriage, enhancing sexual pleasure, correcting menstrual disorders, and treating a list of scheduled diseases. Section 5 prohibits advertisements of magic remedies for treating certain diseases and disorders. Penalties for contravening the Act include imprisonment and fines, with harsher penalties for repeat offenders.

Previous Case Of Externment In Goa

In January 2024, Goa police arrested Pastor Dominic D’Souza and his wife, Joan Mascarenhas, for offences related to magic remedies and allegedly hurting religious sentiments. They faced charges under sections 153A, 295A, and 506(ii) of the IPC, as well as Sections 3, 4, and 7 of the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954. Following their arrest, the Goa Police initiated externment proceedings against them from North Goa for six months.

These cases highlight the urgent need for stringent enforcement of laws to protect individuals from falling victim to superstitions and exploitation by so-called miracle healers.

TNPSC Peddles Misinformation About EVR’s Alleged UNESCO Title In Group 1 Examination

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has peddled a misleading and incorrect information that has already been busted about EV Ramasamy Naicker (hailed as ‘Periyar’ by his followers).

During the examination held on 13 July 2024, TNPSC included a question that states, “Who is certified as, “Socrates of South Asia” by UNESCO a unit organisation of United Nation?” perpetuating the propaganda endorsed by DMK and other Dravidianist organizations, aiming to portray E.V. Ramasamy Naicker (EVR) as an international leader. Despite repeatedly debunking of this falsehood, with the UNESCO itself putting statement that no such award was given EVR, TNPSC persists in promoting it.

Did UNESCO Certified EVR as Socrates of South Asia?

No, for long, it has been said, written and ingrained in the minds of people that EVR was conferred with the title of “Socrates of South Asia” by the UNESCO. This had found its place even in school textbooks of Tamil Nadu and was even asked as a question in annual examinations and Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission exams. However, this award has turned out to be a sham. An email response from the UNESCO office in Delhi has confirmed that no such award/title was given to E.V. Ramasamy Naicker.

The issue was first brought to light by a person named Jagannath Srinivasan who back in May 2019 wrote in his Facebook post that ‘Periyar’ being awarded the title of ‘Socrates of Southeast Asia’ by the UNESCO was a sham. He had reported the false information mentioned in E.V. Ramasamy Naicker’s Wikipedia page following which the information was removed from the free online encyclopedia. This had irked the Dravida Kazhagam and its president K. Veeramani who in an issue of Viduthalai spewed venom against Jagannath Srinivasan by making casteist and bigoted remarks.

Later, Prabhakaran, the son of scheduled caste activist and BJP leader TADA Periyasami filed an RTI with the Tamil Nadu Information Commission asking if the fact about ‘Periyar’ getting the title from ‘UNESCO’ mentioned in the Tamil Nadu textbook was true. The Commission had replied that a private organization with a similar name had given the title. The fact is that the award was sponsored by Tamil Nadu UNESCO Mandram (no way related to the United Nations).

The issue gained the deserved traction after Maridhas, an independent YouTuber exposed in a video about the sham. He had stated that he received an email from the UNESCO office in Delhi that confirmed that no such award/title was given to E.V. Ramasamy Naicker.

For more than 40 years, this lie has been peddled with several articles and research papers on EVR written based on this lie. None in the media or those belonging to the ‘intellectual’ circle who speak of facts has ever opened their mouths about this blatant lie peddled.

Then who gave the award to EVR? It was none other than late former DMK leader M. Karunanidhi in the presence of Dravida Kazhagam President K. Veeramani, under the banner name UNESCO manram.

High Court Direction

Previously, a petition was filed in the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court in February 2021, seeking the removal of a claim from Tamil Nadu school textbooks that E.V. Ramasamy Naicker, commonly known as ‘Periyar,’ was bestowed the title of ‘Socrates of Southeast Asia’ by UNESCO, which is factually incorrect.

The Court instructed the committees responsible for textbook preparation to conduct a review and take appropriate action within 12 weeks. The petition, filed by advocate Muhammad Razvi, pointed out that certain Class 9 textbooks published by the Tamil Nadu government and some college textbooks falsely attributed this title to Periyar. Razvi emphasized that India is not included in the list of Southeast Asian countries recognized by UNESCO, thereby discrediting the claim of such an award to E.V.R.

DMK Govt’s Move To Drop Community Names From Govt Schools Meet With Protests

Protests erupted in various locations against the Tamil Nadu government’s decision to remove caste names from the school names. A viral video has surfaced online showing students confronting and driving away individuals who obstructed their entry to Kallar Government Higher Secondary School near Madurai. The video has gained traction on the internet with netizens praising the bravery of the students.

In Tamil Nadu, several government schools bear caste names, such as the Kallar Government Higher Secondary School. A report by former Justice Chandru recommended to the state government that caste identifiers be removed from these schools, including names like Adi Dravidar and Kallar etc. This recommendation has divided opinion, with one faction supporting the change and another opposing it.

The Tamil Nadu Piramalai Kallar Federation and Forward Block announced a class boycott in protest against the removal of the ‘Kallar’ name from the school. They called for students and parents to support their cause, leading to demonstrations outside government Kallar schools.

In Theni district, a Kallar schools was closed by the protesters and the students were sent home. But when the students of A.Poochipatti near Usilampatti, Madurai district, where individuals prevented students from attending school, claiming it was a holiday, the students vehemently protested, demanding proof of the claim that they should stay home.

In the video, the students expressed a strong desire to attend school. However, some individuals obstructed them and insisted they go home. One person claimed, “We are fighting for you to study for free.” In response, the students questioned, “Who told us we need to pay fees now?” The group asserted, “The government says you have to pay… There’s a GO stating fees are required.” The students remained skeptical and asked for evidence. One of them challenged, “Where’s the proof?” The reply came, “Have you seen the proof? Ask your teacher.” One student retorted, “Our teacher informed us about everything. We keep up with the news daily. No such announcement was made. Why should we skip school today?” They were determined to attend despite the confrontation.

In a viral video, students can be seen arguing with protestors who tried to stop them from attending school. The police eventually intervened, dispersing the protestors and allowing the students to enter. The incident has garnered widespread praise for the students’ determination to attend school despite the obstacles.

“3 DMK Members Involved, Seems Like An Attempt To Cover Up”, Annamalai On Encounter Of Armstrong Murder Case Accused

Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai has strongly criticized the fatal encounter of Thiruvengadam, a surrendered murder accused linked to the case involving the murder of Tamil Nadu BSP Chief K Armstrong on 14 July 2024.

Annamalai has expressed suspicion that the surrendered suspect’s attempt to flee and subsequent encounter by the police may indicate an effort to conceal facts. He alleged that three DMK members implicated in Armstrong’s murder, questions whether the investigation is proceeding in the correct direction. He also urged the DMK government to conduct a comprehensive and swift investigation into Armstrong’s murder.

In an official statement issued via his X account, Annamalai expressed his dismay, stating, “Thiruvenkadam, who surrendered in the murder case of Bahujan Samaj Party state president Armstrong, was shot dead by the Tamil Nadu police in an encounter today. It has been reported that Thiruvengadam was shot and killed while fleeing.”

The fact that a man who surrendered to the murder tried to escape has raised serious suspicions. As three DMK members were involved in Armstrong’s murder, it seems that there is an attempt to cover up some truth. It also raises the question of whether the Armstrong murder case is headed in the right direction. I urge that the higher authorities of the police should be properly investigate shooting of Thiruvenkadam by the police d and also urge the DMK government to conduct a fair and speedy investigation into Armstrong’s murder.” He added

Earlier, the General Secretary of AIADMK, Edappadi K Palaniswami, raised doubts on the encounter by the police, prompting him to advocate for the investigation to be transferred to the CBI.

In his official X account EPS stated, “The reports are coming in that one of the surrendered, rowdy Tiruvenkadam in the Bahujan Samaj Party state president Armstrong’s  murder case have been encountered by the police. What was the need to rush someone in police custody early in the morning and shoot them dead? Did the police handcuff the murder accused while taking him to confiscate the weapons? Suspicions arise strongly about who this encounter is to save.”

“As Armstrong’s family and his party suspect that those who surrendered are not real criminals, such actions by the police only reinforce their suspicions. Thiruvenkadam’s statement regarding this case must be sealed and handed over to the court! As the investigation of this case is losing confidence, it should be transferred to the CBI as per the demand of the Armstrong family and the Bahujan Samaj Party.” He added.

The police on 14 July 2024 fatally shot one of the eleven suspects in the murder case of Tamil Nadu BSP chief K Armstrong in an encounter near Madhavaram . The incident occurred when the suspect, identified as K Thiruvengadam from Kundrathur allegedly attempted to attack police officers and flee when he was taken to to recover the weapons used for the murder.

Earlier that morning, Thiruvengadam had been brought to a location near a lake in Madhavaram where the weapons used in Armstrong’s murder were believed to be hidden. At this spot, he purportedly made a move against a policeman, prompting the fatal gunfire. After being shot, Thiruvengadam was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Armstrong had been brutally attacked and killed on 5 July 2024, while he stood outside his house in Perambur. Following his death, eight individuals, including Thiruvengadam, were arrested by Greater Chennai police. The suspects, identified as Ponnai V Balu, D Ramu, K S Thirumalai, D Selvaraj, G Arul, K Manivannan, J Santosh, and three others arrested the next day, were apprehended in connection to the murder.

Authorities stated that Armstrong’s killing was in retaliation for the 2023 murder of history sheeter Arcot Suresh near Foreshore Estate. Notably, Ponnai V Balu, one of the arrested suspects, is the younger brother of Suresh. On 11 July 2024, the city police obtained a five-day custody of the suspects for further interrogation.

She emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order in the state, especially for the safety of vulnerable communities. Criticizing the state government for its handling of the case, she asserted that if the government had been diligent, the perpetrators would have been apprehended by now. Therefore, she urged the state government to transfer the case to the CBI for a thorough investigation.

DMK Women Councilor Accused Of Inciting Assault During Local Katta Panchayat Over Land Dispute

A female DMK councilor is accused of local Katta Panchayat (Kangaroo court) who was supporting another woman in a land dispute issue currently in court. The video capturing the assault of victim has gone viral on the internet.

Raj, originally from 4th Street, Lions Town in Thoothukudi district, owned a two-cent plot in the same locality. Bills and local settlements were in his name until his passing, after which his wife Germany and her family continued living in the house. Recently, a dispute arose when Raj’s younger sister Brindal attempted to claim ownership of the property adjacent to Raj’s house, resulting in a legal case filed in Thoothukudi District Court. The initial ruling favored Raj’s side, prompting Brindal to appeal to the Madurai High Court.

During the pending legal proceedings, Brindal allegedly attempted to set up a drinking water facility without government permission near the 47th ward, facilitated by DMK woman councilor Rexilin. This led to objections from Germany, questioning the legality of installing pipelines while the property ownership remained unresolved. During the altercation, Germany entered the pit to resist, but Brindal allegedly assaulted her by grabbing her hair. The DMK councillor reportedly verbally abused Germany and incited the incident, resulting in her hospitalization at Thoothukudi Government Medical College.

Shirley, Germany’s daughter, accused DMK councilor Rexilin of instigating the incident, alleging corruption and unauthorized actions in providing services without proper documentation, despite the ongoing court case. Shirley called for police intervention and urged the Corporation Commissioner to address what she described as anarchy perpetrated by the DMK councilors.
