“Will take off half my moustache if DMK wins” says DMK’s own panchayat leader

Ever heard of people betting on the fact that their own party’s candidate will lose? Well, believe it or not, this is the case with the DMK as their own party member has proceeded to place a bet on the fact that their party candidate will lose in the Manapparai constituency.

This is in connection with the video of a group of DMK official that has been doing the rounds. In the video, Marungapuri village’s DMK wing chairman Pazhaniyaandi, DMK’s Tiruchirapalli district councillor Sivakumar, Pazhuvanchi’s panchayat leader Durai are seen engaging in a discussion about the recent assembly elections.

In the video that was released, Durai was heard saying, “Manapparai’s DMK candidate will definitely not win. I challenge you all that, if this happens, I will take off half of my moustache.” While there has been a news that made the rounds that there has been a lot of internal clashes in DMK, this video has only affirmed that it could soon be the quits for the party. This has triggered fears among the ‘brethren’ and sympathizers of the DMK.

It is to be noted that the candidate who stood in this constituency against AIADMK sitting MLA Chandrasekar was not from the DMK but a DMK alliance member party Manidhaneya Makkal Katchi’s candidate Abdul Samadh.
