A video allegedly showing two women filming a dance reel inside the famous Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameswaram has gone viral on social media, drawing criticism from devotees and Hindu organisations, as reported in Daily Thanthi.
According to reports, the two women recorded themselves dancing in the temple’s third corridor and uploaded the video on Instagram.
Reports said that filming reels inside the temple has been prohibited. However, the two women allegedly recorded the video despite the restriction.
Devotees and Hindu organisations condemned the incident and urged the temple administration to initiate action against the women through the police.
