Service providers like electricians, carpenters, plumbers, painters, domestic help and other home care providers can now apply for work passes issued by Greater Chennai Corporation.

Other shops that sell hardware, mobile phones, computer parts and electrical items can be open from 11 AM to 5 PM. However, beauty parlours and salons will continue to remain closed.
Shops that sell essential commodities like groceries, vegetables, fruits, etc can function from 6 AM to 5 PM. Though dine-in services at hotels will continue to remain ceased, they are permitted to deliver food parcels from 6 AM to 9 PM.
IT and ITES companies can now operate with 10% workforce with a minimum of 20 workers. Micro, small and medium enterprises can start operations with 33% workforce.
