Kerala ISIS module case: NIA raids several locations in J&K and Karnataka

On Wednesday (August 4), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches at several locations in Jammu and Kashmir, and Karnataka as part of its investigation into the Kerala ISIS module case.

In Karnataka, the NIA carried out raids at the late Congress leader BM Idinabba’s residence in Mangaluru and interrogated the son and daughter-in-law of Idinabba.

“NIA raids late Congress leader BM Idinabba’s residence in Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka. NIA is questioning his son and daughter-in-law in connection with an ISIS case. The raids are ongoing since morning,” the NIA said.

“This morning, NIA conducted raids at three locations in Jammu and Kashmir, including the residence of a hardware store salesman in Bandipora. The raids are still on,” the agency said. 

Last month, the NIA had carried out searches at multiple locations across J&K in connection with terror funding and conducted raids in the capital Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla districts in the Union territory and arrested five people for their alleged link with the terror outfit ISIS.
