Kerala CPM MP John Brittas Insults Sengol, Calls Hindu Seers “Powerless Clowns”, Annamalai Schools Him

In yet another instance of Communists exhibiting their pathological hatred towards Hinduism and Indian culture, CPI-M Rajya Sabha MP from Kerala John Brittas insulted the historic Sengol and called Hindu sanyasis as “powerless clowns”.

Speaking at the India Today Conclave South, the Christian MP said that he was “ashamed of what happened during the Parliament inauguration”.

“Sardar Patel.. he did away with all this Sengol, Simhasan (throne), crown, powerless clowns, powerless jyotishts (astrologers). All this have been brought back to Indian politics after 75 years. Is that what the country wants now? Do you think the southern people will cave into all these tamashas which is played put there? Never! The Tamil Nadu people are intelligent enough to see through this game. Sengol is not going to work. If the government of India had invited the panchayat presidents of this country for the inauguration of the Parliament, I would’ve appreciated that.”, John Brittas said.

The Christian MP also took to spew venom against the Hindu Adheenams saying “What do these Sanyasis have to do with the Parliament? Are they representatives of India? Have they ever voted in an election? What nonsense is happening in this country? Do you think people of South will stomach all this humbug that is being doled out? No! Never!”

Responding to the rant of the Communist Christian MP, BJP Tamil Nadu President gave a stinging rebuttal that the culture of Sengol has been in existence in the Indian land and has been mentioned in Sangam literature even before the birth of Islam or Christianity.

“Thiruvalluvar, again 2000 years back, writes 10 Thirukkural in the Adhigaram (chapter) called Sengonmai (justice) for Sengol. Very unfortunate that very eminent leaders like John ji, they try to equate cultural renaissance to BJP which in a way I am very proud of it because it is simply because after 1947, they’ve removed the soul of India, they’ve removed the soul of culture from the politics and now when the soul is being brought back I think they have a problem.”, Annamalai responded.

The Tamil Nadu BJP head also pointed out how during elections, the Congress and Communists do tactical adjustments without principles to oppose the BJP.

The Communist MP had also criticized the Modi-led BJP government of discriminating southern states which have better socio-economic indicators than the Hindi heartland, saying that 18 percent of India’s population contribute to 35% of the GDP but get nothing in return. Schooling the Communist leader, Annamalai noted that southern states had a headstart as they had better social indicators even before independence. He also drew attention to Nehru’s freight equalization policy that allowed states like Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra to set up industries and grow.
