A meeting of the DMK youth wing was reportedly held on July 2 at the official of the MLA provided by the state government in Chengam near Tiruvannamalai.
Rules mandate that an MLA cannot use the office complex provided to him/her for holding party meetings, party campaigns, etc. All MLAs are aware of this.
However, it seems like the DMK MLA from Chengam M.P. Giri has flouted these rules by arranging a meeting of the cadres of DMK Youth Wing at his office.
Dalit leader Ma Venkatesan had posted on his facebook urging the Chief Minister to take action.
“The Chief Minister’s Office should take action on this. Or will the BJP allowed to hold a meeting there?”, he asked.
