A 26-year-old Bangladeshi woman, who allegedly escaped civil unrest in her homeland and later became entangled in a prostitution ring in Chennai, has been arrested for illegally entering India. The Chennai police also apprehended her boyfriend, Mohammad Yasin Mia, for forging documents to falsely claim that she was a resident of Agartala, Tripura. Authorities are now searching for two of Mia’s associates involved in the prostitution racket.
The Bangladeshi woman is said to have crossed into India illegally to reunite with Mia during the recent turmoil in Bangladesh. She stayed with him for ten days in Agartala, where Mia forged documents to present her as an Indian citizen. The couple then travelled to Chennai, where Mia was reportedly involved in human trafficking with his friends, Kapil and Rumki. They arranged accommodation for the couple in a rented house in Adambakkam.
According to police sources, Mia and his associates pressured the woman into prostitution to cover their daily expenses. Initially reluctant, she eventually agreed but protested when customers visited her day and night. After she expressed a desire to return to Agartala, Mia reportedly locked her inside the house when he left. Seizing an opportunity when the door was left open, she escaped and took an autorickshaw to the Guindy police station, where she reported the situation.
Following her complaint, a police team led by Inspector Vimal arrested Mia from the Adambakkam house while his accomplices Kapil and Rumki remain at large. Upon questioning, Mia revealed that Afra was from Bangladesh, and police verification confirmed her documents were forged.
The woman was arrested under the Foreigners Act for illegally entering and residing in India without valid documentation. Mia and the woman were produced before a magistrate and remanded to judicial custody as the investigation continues.
DMK General Secretary Duraimurugan accused the BJP-led Centre of pushing for Hindi imposition and attempting to rewrite Indian history by erasing Dravidian connections to the Indus Valley Civilization by stacking a newly formed historical committee with Brahmins. While the DMK claims the history committee is biased, it’s important to note that it includes experts from various fields and was established under the Ministry of Culture in 2018.
The DMK conducted an event commemorating the party’s 75th anniversary and ‘Mupperum Vizha’ at the YMCA Grounds in Nandanam. Apart from TN CM MK Stalin, DMK treasurer TR Baalu, deputy general secretaries A Raja, Ponmudy, and others also spoke.
DMK General Secretary Duraimurugan addressed the BJP-led NDA government’s push for Hindi at the Centre. He warned that if the BJP persisted with this agenda, it would witness the force and vigor of the DMK in action. He said,“For those asking what the DMK did? I will tell you. It made us wear slippers and took us into temples.“
DMK General Secretary Duraimurugan criticized the BJP-led Union government for establishing a committee to rewrite Indian history. He accused the committee of attempting to alter the history of the Indus Valley Civilization, alleging that its goal was to erase the Dravidian connection to the civilization.
“Recently the government in Delhi formed a committee. The committee was appointed by the Government of India to rewrite the history of India. They are going to rewrite the history of India, andfor that, they set up this committee. What is wrong with that history? So far, we were calling Harappa, Mohenjodaro a Dravidian civilization. But the committee says that it is Brahmins’, the civilization of the Aryans. They called it the Saraswati civilization. Where did Saraswati come from? In Allahabad. Three rivers flow there. They gave 2 rivers’ names, we asked what about the third one, andthey said it flows underneath. That is the Saraswati civilization that they are calling today. The rewrite committee has 17 people nominated by the central government of which 3 are officials, government officials. The rest of the 14 members – all of them are Brahmins. The central government set up a committee to rewrite our history and all of them are Brahmins? They needed one more person on the committee. They could not find him here, they found him in Canada, a Brahmin. He is the President of the Canadian Chapter of Brahmin International and head office in Delhi. He is Canada’s Brahmin Sangham’s head. Once again, we have to sing the old tune. If this continues, if BJP continues to do this, time has come for the DMK to show its strength.”Duraimurugan said.
TN minister Durai Murgan warns central government if Brahmins are not put in place then DMK will have to follow it's old tactics and BJP will have to pay for it… pic.twitter.com/8MvujQhZyI
While Duraimurugan has alleged that the government has formed a ‘Committee to rewrite Indian history,‘ claiming that 14 out of its 17 members are Brahmins, it is noteworthy that the Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma pushed for setting up this committee.
Notably, the 2018 committee comprises a geologist, archaeologist, experts in ancient Sanskrit, and two bureaucrats. However, as claimed, the name of the Canadian Brahmin Sangham head is not clear, and there seems to be no clarity on whether he is a part of the committee.

With Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal resigning, the Aam Aadmi Party’s Atishi Marlena is now the Chief Minister of Delhi. But what is her background, and who is her family? Let’s dig into this a bit. Her mother is Tripta Wahi, and her father is Vijay Singh. They are said to have grave anti-national credentials. So, what are they?
Mercy Petition For Afzal Guru
One of the most disgusting things that Atishi Marlena’s mother, Tripta Wahi, did was being the convener of the committee that wanted Afzal Guru to be free of charge & Vijay Singh was a member, too. Along with many liberals, they signed this mercy petition to the President of India, which seeks to set aside the punishment given to terrorist Afzal Guru. In the attached video, you can see Tripta Wahi favouring Afzal Guru.
A year after the hanging of Afzal Guru, Tripta Wahi at a public meeting, said“Even the judiciary failed us on which we always believed. Every democratic institution failed us. After the attack, suddenly Indian nationalism and Hindu Nationalism got together and made it impossible for any human rights’ voices to be heard.”
“Equally Disturbed” By Pakistani Soldiers Dying On Border
In 2016, Tripta Wahi told news magazine Frontline when she was asked what she thought of soldiers dying in Siachen Glacier, she said: “Yes, it disturbs me very much. But I get equally disturbed by Pakistani soldiers dying on the border.”
Soldiers Are Paid To Die
Tripta Wahi’s colleagues disclosed that at the time of the Kargil war, she had refused to donate money for the soldiers killed or maimed in the conflict. “Why do we need to pay them? These soldiers are paid to die,” she had remarked.
Radical Notes On Maoist Resistance To Oppose Indian ‘Hegemony’ In Nepal
In 2008, Vijay Singh, berated RAW and Indian officials, saying that they were interfering with the working of Nepal. He remarked, “Finally the role of Hindu fascist forces such as Yogi Adityanath in fomenting trouble inside Nepal by organizing a conference in December 2006 of Vishwa Hindu Sangam in support of the Hindi king shows how precarious the situation has turned for the Nepalese people.”
Close Relations With SAR Gilani
In 2016, a day after SAR Gilani was arrested under charges of sedition, criminal conspiracy, and being part of an unlawful assembly, the police questioned Tripta Wahi, as she was present with Gilani on the dais & was part of an unlawful assembly in connection with an event organized at Press Club of India.
From Atishi Singh To Atishi MarLena
With the genes of such incredible parents, Atishi Marlena is sure to be quite revolutionary herself. After all, given her parents’ communist links, her name is believed to be derived from famous communists Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin.
Vote For Goons/Gundas
This is not all — her political statements seem to show anarchic ideology. In 2019 she said it is better to vote for goons/gundas than a competent candidate.
At a public meeting at Tikona Park in 2019, Atishi Marlena urged voters to support the SP-BSP alliance in Uttar Pradesh as the only viable option to defeat the BJP. She suggested that even if the alliance’s candidates had criminal backgrounds, voting for them was preferable to allowing the saffron party to win.
She allegedly said, “It is our responsibility to vote for such a candidate/party that can defeat BJP. No single party in the country can defeat the BJP alone. There are regional parties that are fighting against BJP in several states. In UP, only the SP-BSP collation can defeat the BJP. So if, one should vote for the alliance no matter how the candidate is. If the candidate is a goonda, still, we have to vote for the candidate to defeat BJP,”
Defaming India Abroad
If you thought Rahul Gandhi defamed India abroad, think again. Marlena did it first.
In 2023, at the Cambridge India Conference in the UK, Atishi said that India may be the fastest-growing G20 economy, with a 3.5 trillion economy, but its condition is worse than Sri Lanka’s.
She said, “Although we are often told that India’s GDP has crossed the $3.5 trillion mark and it is the fastest-growing G20 economy… one key indicator of the country’s situation is the Human Development Index, where India ranks 132 out of 191 countries. Several smaller countries such as Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, have higher ranks in this index.”
After Rahul Gandhi, now AAP’s Atishi Marlena shames India abroad.
At Cambridge India conference in UK @AtishiAAP says that India may be fastest growing G20 economy, 3.5 trillion economy but India’s condition is worse than Sri Lanka.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal calls Marlena a “puppet” CM. Given her past statements and family history of love for terrorists and radicals, it seems quite clear that Marlena will not likely be a puppet CM, and Delhi will see some very drastic changes in the near future.

Soon after the Aam Aadmi Party named Atishi for the post of Chief Minister of Delhi, Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal expressed strong disapproval, saying that this was a sad day for Delhi, and also termed her as the ‘dummy CM’.
Maliwal took to X and wrote in Hindi (translated), “Today is a sorrowful day for Delhi. Today, a woman whose family fought a long battle to save terrorist Afzal Guru from being hanged is being made the Chief Minister of Delhi. Her parents wrote mercy petitions to the Honorable President to save terrorist Afzal Guru. According to them, Afzal Guru was innocent and was framed as part of a political conspiracy. Although Atishi Marlena is just a ‘dummy CM’, this issue is still related to the country’s security. May God protect Delhi!”
Maliwal commented after Atishi was unanimously chosen to succeed Arvind Kejriwal as the next Chief Minister on Tuesday.
Minister Gopal Rai, while briefing the press, said that Atishi got unanimous support at the AAP legislature party meeting and added that she would be the next Delhi CM until the next Assembly elections. Gopal Rai further told the media that Arvind Kejriwal will visit the Delhi L-G office at around 4:30 p.m. and tender his resignation. The party will then stake a claim for the next government formation under Atishi.
While sharing the details of the change of guard in Delhi, Gopal Rai also lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Centre for plotting AAP’s downfall. Atishi holds key portfolios in the Delhi government, such as the Education and Public Works Department. An Oxford University alumnus and a Rhodes scholar, Atishi has worked extensively on the AAP’s flagship exercise to overhaul education in Delhi’s schools. The Kalkaji MLA became a minister after Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested for an alleged liquor scam case.

Amid election fervour in J&K, BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh accused prominent leaders, including former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Farooq Abdullah, and Mehbooba Mufti, of betraying the people of the Union Territory (UT).
Speaking to journalists after addressing BJP workers in Samba on Tuesday, Chugh emphasised the party’s zero-tolerance policy towards separatist ideologies in Jammu and Kashmir. He stated, “The people here detest the thinking of leaders like Abdullah, Mufti, Nehru, and (Engineer) Rashid. These leaders have deceived the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The people here trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Leaders like Farooq Abdullah, Mufti, Gandhi, Nehru, and Rashid speak of separatism, and the people of Jammu and Kashmir reject their ideologies.”
Chugh asserted that Jammu and Kashmir is moving towards tourism rather than separatism or terrorism. He claimed that three families had turned Jammu and Kashmir into the capital of terrorism, but PM Modi has worked to transform it into a tourism hub.
“Today, development projects are underway in Jammu and Kashmir. Roads and bridges are being built, and the railway line has reached Srinagar. Jammu and Kashmir is on the development path, and a new dawn has arrived. The people will reject those who attempt to obstruct this development. PM Modi will receive the blessings of the people. The people of Jammu and Kashmir trust Prime Minister Modi,” he pointed out.
Chugh further commented, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir do not favour separatist thinkers, whether they are Abdullah, Mufti, Gandhi-Nehru, Rashid, or anyone else. Our policy is zero tolerance towards terrorism, and we will fully implement it.”
BJP candidates Chander Prakash Ganga, contesting from Vijaypur, and Surjeet Singh Salathia, from Samba constituency, were also present during the address. Notably, there are 90 assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir, with 47 in the Valley and 43 in the Jammu division. Of these, nine seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) and seven for Scheduled Castes (SC). Voting will be conducted in three phases, with results to be declared on October 8.

BJP’s prominent Christian leader in Kerala Anoop Antony Joseph has made serious allegations against the state’s CPI-M-led government, accusing it of siphoning off funds intended for relief operations following the landslide in Wayanad.
He said that the state government has the habit of frequently “misusing funds meant for relief operations”. Joseph said, “Kerala has not yet recovered from the shocking tragedy of the Wayanad landslide, but what is now more painful is the way the CPI-M govt of Kerala misused and embezzled the funds that were meant for relief.” He said, “The reports have very well shown how crores of crores have been misused, which was meant for the relief of the people of Wayanad. It is unimaginable… Rs 75,000 were spent on the funeral of each who has lost their life in Wayanad…Rs 12 crore was spent on the food of the volunteers…”
The BJP leader further said, “Similarly, crores and crores have been misused by the (state) government in the name of relief… Similar things happened during the 2018 floods also… The state government always uses these disasters as an opportunity for corruption and financial gains…” The Kerala government, however, has denied the allegations saying there is no truth in this. It said that the estimates are being misrepresented.
Meanwhile, the Congress has described the estimates which were submitted to the High Court as “unrealistic” saying that it was made by someone who had no clue. “The so-called memorandum submitted to the Centre points out that bodies were interred and a cost has been attributed, while the fact of the matter known to all is that it was done in a plot of land donated by a plantation company. The entire work at that time was done by volunteers of the local legislator. This is not the way a memorandum should be prepared and if it’s given like this, then what should rightfully come also won’t,” said Kerala leader of the opposition V.D. Satheesan.

President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday stressed water conservation and judicious use, comparing the vital natural resource to money. Inaugurating the 8th India Water Week here, the President said, “Only after depositing money in the bank can it be withdrawn; similarly, we can use water only after storing it.”
“People who misuse money go from prosperity to poverty. Similarly, water scarcity is seen even in rain-rich areas. People who use limited income wisely remain safe from financial crises in their lives. Similarly, villages that store water in low rainfall areas remain safe from water crises,” she said, as per a Rashtrapati Bhavan statement.
Lauding efforts of the Jal Shakti Ministry to ensure water for all, President Murmu called on all citizens to play the role of water warriors to deal with scarcity of the precious resource. Asserting that only 2.5 per cent of the total water available on earth is freshwater and even out of that one per cent is available for human use, she advised its judicious use. She pointed out that in many areas of Rajasthan and Gujarat, villagers have got rid of water scarcity through their efforts and by adopting effective methods of water storage. Hailing the ancient water management systems based on “harmony with nature”, she said they should be researched and used practically in the modern context. To reduce the number of people suffering from water scarcity, there is an emphasis on supporting and strengthening the participation of local communities to improve water and sanitation management.
She appreciated the Ministry of Jal Shakti for choosing the right medium to achieve the goal of water development and management through partnership and cooperation. In 2021, the government launched a campaign ‘Catch the Rain – Where it Falls When it Falls’, aimed to achieve water conservation, rainwater harvesting and other important goals of water management, she said.
