DMK Edu Min Who Pounced On Motivational Speaker Mahavishnu For Talking Hindu Concepts In Govt School Is MIA In Vikravandi St. Mary’s School Girl Death Case

DMK Edu Min Who Pounced On Motivational Speaker Mahavishnu For Talking Hindu Concepts In Govt School Is MIA In Vikravandi St. Mary's School Girl Death Case

The Tamil Nadu School Education Minister, Anbil Mahesh of the DMK, has come under fire for his glaring double standards in addressing controversies in government schools. While he swiftly intervened and issued threats against a motivational speaker for discussing Hindu spiritual concepts during a school event, he has remained conspicuously silent on the tragic and suspicious death of three-and-a-half-year-old Lia Lakshmi at St. Mary’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Villupuram.

The St. Mary’s School Tragedy: A Case Of Neglect And Cover-Up?

The death of Lia Lakshmi early in January 2025, a kindergarten student at St. Mary’s School in Vikravandi, has shocked the state. The school claimed that Lia accidentally fell into a septic tank during school hours. However, inconsistencies in the school’s narrative and the CCTV footage have cast serious doubts on this explanation.

The footage revealed a teacher carrying Lia near the septic tank, returning without her, and other staff members pretending to search the tank while the child was still in the teacher’s arms. Additionally, a driver was seen acting as though he was searching in the tank, further fueling suspicions of a staged cover-up. Lia’s parents also noted discrepancies, such as claims about her white shoes being found in the tank, despite her wearing red shoes that day. Bloodstains on her ribbon and shirt, along with a bleach-like smell, have further contradicted the school’s septic tank narrative.

Lia’s father, K. Palanivel, has accused the school of fabricating the story to conceal a potential crime. He has demanded a CB-CID investigation, alleging tampering with CCTV footage and threats to the family to pursue justice. Despite these serious allegations, Anbil Mahesh and the DMK government have remained silent, failing to take decisive action or even address the public’s concerns.

Contrasting Response: DMK Minister’s Overreaction To Spiritual Speaker

In stark contrast to his silence on the St. Mary’s tragedy, Anbil Mahesh was quick to intervene when a motivational speaker, Mahavishnu from the Paramporul Foundation, delivered a talk on Hindu spiritual concepts at government schools in Ashok Nagar and Saidapet in September 2024. During his speech, Mahavishnu discussed ancient Indian education systems, British rule’s impact, and karma and rebirth.

While the speaker’s talk was intended to inspire students, it reportedly offended Dravidianists and Periyarists, leading to widespread outrage. A school staff member objected to the content, sparking a heated argument. A video of the incident went viral, prompting Anbil Mahesh to personally visit the school, issue warnings, and threaten severe action against the speaker.

The minister even praised the teacher who interrupted Mahavishnu’s speech, stating, “You came to my area, spoke, and left, you have insulted my teachers. So, I’m stressing at this point that I will not let you off lightly.” His swift and aggressive response to the speaker’s Hindu-themed talk stands in sharp contrast to his inaction in the St. Mary’s case, where a young child lost her life under suspicious circumstances.

The DMK government’s contrasting responses to these two incidents highlight a troubling pattern of selective outrage and political bias. While the minister was quick to condemn a Hindu speaker for discussing spiritual concepts, he has failed to address the systemic failures and potential criminal negligence that led to Lia Lakshmi’s death.

Critics argue that the DMK’s priorities are skewed, with the government more focused on appeasing its Dravidianist base than ensuring justice and accountability in cases involving vulnerable children. The silence on the St. Mary’s tragedy led to many questioning whether the school’s Christian management could influence the government’s inaction.

UP: Missionary School Allegedly Prevented Hindu Student From Writing Exam Over ‘Jai Shri Ram’ Greeting, Apologizes Following Backlash

Missionary School Allegedly Prevented Hindu Student From Writing Exam Over ‘Jai Shri Ram’ Greeting, Apologizes Following Backlash

An alleged attempt by a missionary school to restrict a student’s freedom of worship and faith was thwarted in Karvi town, Chitrakoot district, Uttar Pradesh. A Class 10 Hindu student at St Thomas Senior Secondary School, identified as Harsh Pandey, was reportedly barred from taking his exam for greeting someone with the chant “Jai Shri Ram” during a school break.

According to Harsh’s father, the incident occurred on 16 January 2025 when his son greeted someone with the holy Hindu chant. Angered by this, the school administration prevented Harsh from sitting for his exam. Distressed by the action, his father contacted the police, who promptly intervened, allowing the boy to write his papers.

In a video shared on social media, Harsh’s father expressed his outrage, saying, “What kind of rule is this? What kind of punishment is this – stopping a student from writing an exam for chanting Jai Shri Ram.”

The incident sparked protests by students affiliated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), who staged a demonstration outside the school premises. The backlash prompted the school principal to issue a formal apology, which helped defuse tensions and restore calm.

This incident has drawn widespread attention and criticism, highlighting ongoing concerns about the treatment of cultural and religious expressions in educational institutions.

“You Will Face The Consequences”: BJP Leader H Raja Warns TN Congress Functionary Dhivya Marunthiah Over Fake Letter

BJP Leader H Raja Warns TN Congress Functionary Dhivya Marunthiah Over Fake Letter

Senior BJP leader and Convenor of the Tamil Nadu BJP Co-ordination Committee, H Raja, has sharply criticized Tamil Nadu Congress OBC Wing General Secretary, Dhivya Marunthiah, for allegedly spreading false information. The misinformation claimed that Raja had written a letter to the BJP’s central leadership expressing dissatisfaction with the current Tamil Nadu BJP chief, K. Annamalai.

Raja rebuked Dhivya Marunthiah, warning her of potential consequences for propagating such misinformation as he reiterated that the alleged letter was fabricated and emphasized that he had already clarified this matter publicly. Despite his clarification, certain individuals continued to circulate the fake letter, which he condemned as an intentional attempt to mislead people.

On 16 January 2025, H Raja clarified via his official x account that, “Fake news is being spread on social media by anti-social elements with the intention of tarnishing my reputation. I want to make it clear that legal action will be taken against the individual responsible for creating and disseminating this false information. Action will also be taken against whoever involved in spreading this misinformation.”

The letter in question reportedly stated, “I extend my heartfelt gratitude for entrusting me with the role of Tamil Nadu State Convenor of the Bharatiya Janata Party. It is a great honor, and I am committed to upholding our party’s values and vision in Tamil Nadu. During my tenure, I have traveled extensively across the state, engaging with leaders, office bearers, and cadres. I have worked diligently to unify efforts, strengthen the party’s foundation, and expand our base, resulting in lakhs of new members joining the BJP, reflecting the growing resonance of our ideology.”

However, the controversial part of the letter read, “However, I must bring to your attention certain concerning observations shared by credible sources during my interactions with the public and cadres. Allegations suggest that the current Tamil Nadu State Leadership is involved in extorting money from business entities such as the KG Group, Naidu community leaders, and individuals like Shri SV Balasubramaniam of Bannari Group, as well as institutions like Kumaraguru Colleges. Intermediaries such as Shri Ravi Sam and Shri KG Anush are reportedly involved, with funds allegedly misused for personal international travel and investments in Sree Annamalaiyar Chambers, Dindigul, where family members of the leadership are said to be directly involved. These allegations, if true, could harm the party’s image and erode public trust. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action to protect the party’s integrity and values.”

It has now been confirmed that the letter was fake. The morphing of an old letterhead of H. Raja is evident, with the header and footer clearly showing outdated details, while the body of the letter is newly inserted. This manipulation indicates the letter was fabricated and altered to mislead the public and tarnish his reputation.

CM Mamata Banerjee Declines CPI(M)’s Invite For Inauguration Of Jyoti Basu Research Centre

CM Mamata Banerjee Declines CPI(M) Invite For Inauguration Of Jyoti Basu Research Centre

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has decided to skip the inauguration of the research centre named after Jyoti Basu, the late nonagenarian Indian Marxist and former CM.

The event is taking place on Friday and she has been invited by the Left party. Despite the invitation from the state CPI(M) leadership, she will not be attending citing her administrative preoccupations. Confirming the development, CPI(M) central committee member from West Bengal Robin Deb said that the veteran party leader and the Left Front chairman in West Bengal Biman Bose had personally invited Mamata Banerjee to be present at the inauguration.

“However, we have been informed by the state secretariat that the Chief Minister would not be able to be present at the programme,” Deb confirmed.

The inauguration of the research centre will be done on the occasion of the 15th death anniversary of the former and longest-ever chief minister of West Bengal in the presence of CPI(M)’s politburo coordinator and former party general secretary Prakash Karat. CPI(M)’s state secretary in West Bengal Md Salim and party politburo member Dr Suryakanta Mishra will also be present on the occasion.

Explaining the rationale behind inviting Mamata Banerjee to the event, a senior state committee member of CPI(M) said that since the said research centre will have an independent identity and since it is named after the former Chief Minister, the party leadership decided to invite the current Chief Minister at the inauguration function.

“There is nothing political about it. But now we have been informed from the state secretariat that the Chief Minister will not be able to be present at the inauguration because of her administrative preoccupations,” the state committee member said.

From Friday, the CPI(M)’s central committee meeting will also start at New Town on the northern outskirts of Kolkata. The political resolutions for the forthcoming party Congress might be adopted at the two-day central committee meeting starting from Friday. The party Congress is scheduled in April this year at Madurai in Tamil Nadu, where the party will get its new general secretary, which has been lying vacant since the demise of the former party general secretary Sitaram Yechury last year.

Adani Energy’s Growth Story Intact, Stock Has Potential Upside Of 67%: Jefferies

Adani Energy's Growth Story Intact, Stock Has Potential Upside Of 67%: Jefferies

Global brokerage Jefferies has maintained its ‘buy’ rating on the stock of Adani Energy Solutions, saying the company’s growth story remains intact. The brokerage has kept its target price for the stock at Rs 1,300, implying a 67 per cent upside.

“It is a 50 per cent premium to our implied 10 times target EV/EBITDA multiple for Power Grid given the much higher growth in Adani Energy as against Power Grid’s 6-7 per cent profit after tax compounded annual growth rate in FY24-27,” said the brokerage.

Adani Energy Solutions, in its Q3 update, highlighted that it maintained robust system availability at 99.7 per cent. “Company added 225 circuit kilometres (ckm) in its transmission network taking the total to 26,485 ckm. Two new projects have boosted the project pipeline to Rs 547 billion from Rs 170 billion at the start of FY25.

Smart metering is a new high-growth area. Capital management program focus is on reducing volatility in interest costs through long-tenure bonds. Buy,” said Jefferies in its note.

The Adani Group company won two transmission bids in Q3, both in Rajasthan, related to the renewable energy park. The company has a market share of 24 per cent in competitive bids, which is up from 17 per cent given the recent win.

“Management indicated a robust pipeline in near-term tendering at Rs 590 billion, up 55 per cent YoY on its recent Q2 call. We believe AESL should see 16 per cent revenue CAGR and 62 per cent PAT CAGR in FY24-27E, driven by locked-in growth in both transmission and distribution business,” said the brokerage.

Recently, Tamil Nadu scrapped an 8.2 million meter bid stating that while Adani Energy Solutions is the lowest bidder, they believe the bid price is fairly high. “This does not impact AESL’s current under-execution projects as they are not a part of the 22.8 mn,” the brokerage said. “In our view, the company is realising the business potential on both smart metering and distribution.”

SpaceX Catches Super Heavy Booster On Starship Flight 7 Test, Loses Upper Stage

SpaceX Catches Super Heavy Booster On Starship Flight 7 Test, Loses Upper Stage

Elon Musk-led SpaceX’s Starship successfully aced the seventh test flight but lost the upper stage. Starship and Super heavy booster lifted off from SpaceX’s Starbase site in South Texas at 5:37 p.m. EST (4.07 am IST).

All 33 Raptor engines powered the Super Heavy booster and Starship on a nominal ascent. Starship’s giant first-stage booster, known as Super Heavy was caught by the Starbase’s launch tower, using the structure’s “chopstick” arms, as it did for the first time on Starship Flight 5 in October. While this was achieved about seven minutes after liftoff, SpaceX lost contact with Ship.

“All six of Ship’s Raptor engines fired up during the stage’s ascent burn, but telemetry was lost with the vehicle after approximately eight and a half minutes of flight,” SpaceX said in a statement after the flight.

“Initial data indicates a fire developed in the aft section of the ship, leading to a rapid unscheduled disassembly,” it added.

The ship was earlier stated to fly much of the way around the world, then splash down softly in the Indian Ocean off the west coast of Australia about 66 minutes after liftoff. Meanwhile, in coordination with the FAA, the company launched an investigation to understand the root cause.

“Starship is the first rocket design where success in making life multiplanetary is in the set of possible outcomes,” Musk said in a post on social media platform X. He also stated that more than individual launches, building up civilisation on Mars is more important.

“Any individual launch is not very important. What matters is the expected date when Mars becomes a self-sustaining civilisation,” Musk said in a post.

Starship’s Flight 6 occurred in November last year. It could not repeat the success of Flight 5 to catch Super Heavy due to a communication issue with the launch tower. SpaceX is developing the resusable Starship, the biggest and most powerful rocket ever built standing 123 meters tall, to help humanity settle the moon and Mars, among other feats. The company informed that preparations are underway for the eighth flight test, and is going through prelaunch testing

How Dravidian Stockist “Writer” Meena Kandasamy Weaponized Feminism: Her Ex-Husband’s Open Letter To Atul Subhash Reveals

Meena Kandasamy exploits feminism, says ex-husband Gunasekharan as he links her ideas to Atul Subhash suicide case.

Meena Kandasamy, a self-proclaimed feminist and Dravidianist writer, faces fresh scrutiny as Dr. Dharmaraja Gunasekharan, her ex-husband, exposes her alleged misuse of feminist ideals to perpetuate false narratives—drawing parallels to the tragic case of Atul Subhash, whose suicide highlighted the devastating impact of legal harassment and societal manipulation.

Atul Subhash Suicide Case

The Atul Subhash suicide sent shockwaves across the country towards the end of 2024. Atul Subhash’s suicide note and video revealed a man pushed to the brink by relentless legal harassment. His estranged wife filed multiple cases against him, alleging various charges that he claimed were false. Despite his efforts to fight back, Atul felt trapped in a system that seemed stacked against him. His father and brother echoed his sentiments, stating that the legal system failed him, leading to his tragic decision to end his life.

After the chaos and buzz around this incident settled down, an open letter came from someone who was also wronged by the justice system in India.

Surprisingly, it was Dr Dharmarajan Gunasekharan, the former husband of Dravidian stock writer Meena Kandasamy, who allegedly claimed to be a Dalit and of mixed-caste origin, with her maternal grandparents beinglower-caste Shudrasand her father being from a nomadic tribe.

Gunasekharan wrote an open letter to Atul Subhash, and the letter reveals many facets of the so-called activist Meena Kandasamy, who follows the great women’s empowerment ideals of the Dravidianist ideologue EV Ramasamy Naicker, hailed as Periyar by his followers.

The letter exposes the hypocrisy and the double standards of the Dravidianists like Meena Kandasamy.

The Dharmaraja Gunasekharan Case

Dr. Dharmaraja Gunasekharan talks about his 13-year legal battle against false allegations by his ex-wife, writer, and activist Meena Kandasamy. Accused of dowry harassment, domestic violence, and even absurd claims like having relationships with 64 women, including his mother, Dharmaraja endured a nightmare that culminated in his mother’s suicide. Despite the overwhelming odds, he was eventually acquitted, but not without immense personal and emotional cost.

Dharmaraja’s case underscores how Dravidianists like Meena Kandasamy misused feminist rhetoric to craft narratives of victimhood, manipulate public opinion, and extract material gains.

Dharmaraja’s letter delves into the strategies employed by those who misuse the legal system. He identifies two primary tactics: crafting victimhood and exploiting it for material gain. The first tactic, crafting victimhood, involves presenting oneself as a perpetual victim to garner public sympathy and manipulate legal outcomes.

In his case, Dharmaraja’s ex-wife, writer and Dravidianist Meena Kandasamy, filed false allegations under Sections 498A (domestic violence) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC. She accused him of unimaginable acts, including dowry harassment, physical abuse, and sexual violence. These allegations, Dharmaraja notes, were not only baseless but grotesque. For instance, she claimed he had relationships with 64 women, including his mother—a claim she later amended to her mother during cross-examination.

Dharmaraja explains how such narratives exploit the progressive spaces society has created for women to share their experiences. By presenting herself as a victim, his ex-wife was able to manipulate public opinion and gain credibility, even in the absence of evidence. This strategy, he argues, tarnishes the credibility of genuine survivors and erodes trust in the legal system.

The Role of Media In Amplifying False Narratives

Dharmaraja’s letter also highlights the role of media in perpetuating these false narratives. He recounts how his ex-wife’s allegations were amplified by selective media coverage, while his attempts to present his side of the story were often ignored. This bias, he argues, shifts the focus from truth to ideological affiliations, further muddying the waters and making it difficult for the accused to defend themselves.

“When I tried to clarify my side of the story, many outlets refused to publish my perspective while eagerly promoting hers,Dharmaraja wrote. This imbalance, he notes, not only harms the accused but also undermines the credibility of genuine survivors who seek justice.

The second tactic Dharmaraja identifies is the exploitation of victimhood for material gain. Once the narrative of victimhood is established, the accuser often seeks financial or social benefits. In his case, Dharmaraja alleges that his ex-wife and her father attempted extortion during the legal proceedings. They spread falsehoods to isolate him socially and inflict maximum damage on his reputation and finances.

Kandasamy consistently tarnished his image on social media, even while the matter was still under judicial consideration. For example,

Dharmaraja’s mother, his staunchest supporter, tragically committed suicide the day after he collected the chargesheet. This loss, he says, was a direct result of the relentless harassment and social isolation he faced. Despite the overwhelming odds, Dharmaraja fought back, thanks to the support of friends, advocates who argued his case pro bono, and well-wishers who restored his faith in justice.

His few final words touch a raw nerve, especially when reading about the crooked mind of his ex-wife –Mr Atul Subhash, I don’t believe in life-after-death, but if you ever get a chance to meet my mother, let her know this: a son of an army jawan father and an illiterate mother, hailing from a remote village, born into a lower middle-class backward community family, a first-generation graduate, and most importantly, a man who had no prior exposure to the legal system, was able to defeat the daughter of an IIT professor, an influential member of the media mafia, the self-claimed ex-lover of a sitting Member of Parliament, a proud secret member of an upper-caste casteist lobby, and a woman who could share breakfast with the sitting Minister of the ruling party. This victory is not just mine; it belongs to all those who persevere against the odds. Women like Ms. Kandasamy, who hide behind false feminism, may deceive the world for a while, but truth ultimately unmasks them.”

Madras High Court Grants Bail To ‘Savukku’ Shankar In Misinformation Case

Madras High Court Grants Bail To 'Savukku' Shankar In Misinformation Case

Justice GR Swaminathan presiding over the vacation court of the Madras High Court has granted bail to Savukku Shankar, who was arrested for allegedly spreading misinformation. The court noted that the charges against him did not justify his arrest.

The judge expressed surprise at the State’s decision to arrest Shankar for the allegations against him.

When the State argued that Shankar had been spreading misinformation through his YouTube channel and other media platforms, the judge remarked that the State could simply ignore the interview.

Why arrest someone over this? Just don’t listen to the interview. Those who want to will listen, and that’s it,” the judge commented during the hearing.

Shankar, known for his YouTube channel Savukku Media, had filed a bail petition in response to a case accusing him of disseminating false information about an investigation into a multi-crore land fraud case. The allegations stem from interviews he conducted, including one on his YouTube channel and others on Tamil news channels in December 2024.

The case was filed under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Section 221 (Obstructing a public servant from discharging their duty), Section 222 (Failure to assist a public servant), and Sections 353(1)(b) and (2) (Making false statements with the intent to provoke an offence against the State).

The complaint was lodged by Siva Subramanian, an Inspector with the Land Fraud Investigation Wing II of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Chennai. According to the complaint, Shankar had made baseless allegations in an interview on December 5, 2024, undermining the investigation into the land fraud case initiated by the South Chennai District Registrar.

During an inquiry on December 16, 2024, Shankar allegedly refused to cooperate, questioned the authority of the Inspector, and admitted he had no evidence to back his claims. Following this, the Inspector filed a complaint accusing Shankar of attempting to derail the investigation through false narratives.

ACP B Sampath subsequently registered an FIR on December 18, 2024, against Shankar, his media network, and two YouTube interviewers, Leo and Malathi. Inspector V Bharathi was appointed as the investigating officer.

‘Savukku’ Shankar, in judicial custody, was later arrested on 21 December 2024 by the Cyber Crime wing of Chennai Police.

However, on 17 January 2025, Justice Swaminathan ruled in favour of granting Shankar bail, stating that the charges did not necessitate his detention.

Shocking Exploitation: Chennai Couple Arrested For Prostituting Daughter And Selling Child Sexual Abuse Material Online

Chennai Couple Arrested For Prostituting Daughter And Selling Child Sexual Abuse Material Online

In a horrifying case that has sent shockwaves through the Chennai city, a couple was arrested for distributing and selling Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) online. Disturbingly, they are also accused of forcing their own daughter into prostitution and filming explicit images of her, which were allegedly uploaded to the internet. The arrests were made by the Mylapore all-women police team.

The case came to light after the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) lodged a formal complaint. Acting on the tip, police tracked a suspect, a real estate agent from Raja Annamalai Puram, who was found in possession of several explicit videos and photographs of underage girls stored on his phone.

Upon further investigation, police discovered that the man had filmed his daughter, who was reportedly coerced into prostitution with the help of his wife. The man is alleged to have sold numerous explicit videos and photos online for financial gain.

Following this revelation, his wife was also arrested for her involvement in exploiting their daughter and distributing the obscene material. Both individuals have been charged under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and were remanded to judicial custody. The police is currently identifying other victims all of whom are mostly minors.

In a related development, police apprehended two more suspects from the Srinivasapuram and Tambaram areas for circulating CSAM, adding to the gravity of the case. The arrests have sparked widespread outrage and renewed calls for stricter enforcement against such heinous crimes.
