Kanchipuram: Hindu Munnani Seeks Action After Alleged Attack On Hindu Residents In Sheikh Karim Nagar, Nazarethpet

Kanchipuram Hindu Munnani Seeks Action After Alleged Attack On Hindu Residents In Nazarethpet

The Hindu Munnani has urged district authorities to take immediate action following an alleged attack on Hindu residents in Sheikh Karim Nagar, Nazarethpet, Kanchipuram district.

According to a statement from the Hindu Munnani, more than 300 Hindus from 63 families have been living in the area for over four decades. The organization said the residents have been paying regular rent for the land, which it claimed belongs to a local mosque.

The group alleged that four individuals, identified as Akhtar Pasha, Feroz Pasha, their mother Zeenat Begum, and Yusuf Khan who reportedly have no connection with the mosque, claimed ownership of the property and launched an attack on a resident named Saravanan and a 70-year-old man. The statement also alleged that women in the area were verbally abused during the incident.

Hindu Munnani said that despite complaints lodged at the police station, no action had been taken against the accused. Following this, the organization’s Kanchipuram Division Secretary R.D. Mani, District Advocate Front President Dasarathan, and General Secretary Sathyanarayana visited the area, met with the affected residents, and accompanied them to the police station to press for action.

Hindu Munnani further stated that Saravanan, who was injured in the attack, was admitted to a hospital, where members of the Hindu Munnani met and consoled his family.

Warning that inaction from the district administration and revenue department could lead to heightened tension in the locality, the Hindu Munnani urged officials to take prompt measures to prevent any further escalation.

TN Panchayat Withdraws Proposal To Name Bus Stand After Quaid-e-Millath Following Public Protest Backed By Hindu Munnani

TN Panchayat Withdraws Proposal To Name Bus Stand After Quaid-e-Millath Following Public Protest Backed By Hindu Munnani

In Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari district, councillors and members of the public staged a protest on Monday against a proposal to name a new bus stand in Thittuvilai after Quaid-e-Millath, with demonstrators describing him as “anti-national.” The protest, held outside the Boothapandi Town Panchayat office, continued for over two hours before the local administration withdrew the naming decision.

The agitation was reportedly organised by local councillors and supported by members of the Hindu Munnani, which later issued a statement commending the public for their “peaceful and determined protest.” The group said the decision to name the facility after Quaid-e-Millath was “inappropriate and disrespectful” to national sentiment.

Quaid-e-Millath, also known as M Muhammad Ismail, was a prominent political leader and the founder of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) in post-Independence India.

The proposal to name the new Thittuvilai bus stand after Quaid-e-Millath reportedly came from local authorities as part of an initiative to recognise influential historical figures from Tamil Nadu. However, sections of the public opposed the move, arguing that it would be divisive and that the honour should go to a leader with no links to separatist politics.

Following the protest, the Boothapandi Town Panchayat administration announced that it would reconsider the naming proposal. Hindu Munnani representatives expressed satisfaction over the reversal and reiterated their opposition to what they termed the “glorification of figures tied to anti-national movements.”

No law-and-order incidents were reported during the protest. The district administration has not yet announced a new name for the bus stand.

30-Yr-Old DRDO Engineer Working On BrahMos Project Dies Of Suspected Heart Attack In Lucknow

30-Yr-Old DRDO Engineer Working On BrahMos Project Dies Of Suspected Heart Attack In Lucknow

A 30-year-old engineer associated with the BrahMos missile system at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in Lucknow died suddenly after a suspected heart attack on 21 October 2025, police said the following day. The deceased, identified as Akashdeep Gupta, reportedly experienced discomfort after dinner that night and was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead. Authorities have yet to confirm the exact cause of death pending a post-mortem report.

According to preliminary police findings, Gupta’s death appears to be the result of a heart attack. “Prima facie the cause of death is considered to be a heart attack, but the real reason will only be clear after the post-mortem report is received,” a police officer said. Hospital authorities informed the local police following the incident.

Gupta, a systems engineer with DRDO’s BrahMos division, lived in Lucknow’s Alambagh area with his wife Bharti, a bank employee. The couple had married in April this year. His father, Kuldeep Gupta, said that Akashdeep had taken leave to celebrate Diwali with his family and had gone out to play cricket on Tuesday evening before feeling unwell later that night.

The sudden death of the young engineer has drawn attention due to his role in one of India’s most advanced defence programs. It comes amid a history of untimely or unexplained deaths involving scientists and engineers linked to the country’s strategic institutions, including DRDO, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC). While most of these deaths have been attributed to natural causes, suicides, or accidents, the frequency and circumstances have often raised questions within the scientific community.

Past incidents include cases classified as suicides, unexplained illnesses, and accidents, with some experts suggesting occupational stress, radiation exposure, or systemic lapses in workplace safety as possible factors. Security agencies have occasionally examined these cases for potential espionage or sabotage links, though no conclusive evidence has ever been established.

Officials have not suggested any foul play in Gupta’s death so far, but the sensitive nature of his work has prompted scrutiny. His body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and police said further details would be shared once the report is received.

Gupta’s death marks a personal tragedy for his family and a concerning addition to a pattern of sudden losses among India’s defence and scientific personnel working on critical national projects.

BJP TN Files Complaint Against BBC For Its Propaganda Piece Instigating India’s Gen Z To Hit The Streets

BJP TN Files Complaint Against BBC For Its Propaganda Piece Instigating India’s Gen Z To Hit The Streets

The Tamil Nadu unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) legal cell has filed a complaint with the state Director General of Police (DGP) against BBC Tamil, accusing the outlet of attempting to incite unrest and mislead the country’s youth through a recent article.

The complaint, led by A. Kumaraguru, president of the Tamil Nadu BJP’s legal wing, targets a BBC Tamil report titled “Why are Gen Z, who destabilize governments in other countries, not taking to the streets in India?” The article was published in English as well.

The BJP has alleged that the article is part of a larger conspiracy aimed at creating discontent and provoking young people to take part in anti-government protests.

Kumaraguru stated that the report forms part of a “foreign conspiracy” to undermine India’s stability and progress. He described the article as “misleading and malicious,” alleging that it was intended to tarnish India’s image and disrupt peace within the country. He further stated that such efforts by foreign media were aimed at halting India’s growth, especially as the nation had risen to become the world’s fourth-largest economy.

Calling for strict police action, Kumaraguru urged authorities to ensure that no media outlet publishes what he termed as “inflammatory and false” content in the future. BJP State Vice President Paul Kanagaraj and other members of the party’s legal cell were also present during the press briefing.

Armstrong Murder Case: Slain BSP Leader’s Wife Moves Supreme Court For Monitored CBI Investigation, Says Tamil Nadu Police Suppressed Crucial Evidence

Armstrong Murder Case: Slain BSP Leader’s Wife Moves Supreme Court For Monitored CBI Investigation, Says Tamil Nadu Police Suppressed Crucial Evidence

The wife of slain Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader and prominent Dalit activist Armstrong has approached the Supreme Court seeking to support the demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into her husband’s murder.

Porkodi, Armstrong’s wife, filed an intervention application in the Special Leave Petition (SLP) filed by the State of Tamil Nadu, which challenges the Madras High Court’s order that quashed the state police’s chargesheet and transferred the investigation to the CBI.

On 10 October 2025, the Supreme Court stayed the High Court’s order quashing the chargesheet but did not stay the CBI investigation, allowing the central agency to continue its probe.

In her application, Porkodi stated that the case has a bearing on the “national conscience” and urged the Court to ensure a CBI investigation under the monitoring of a Supervisory Committee headed by a former Supreme Court Judge, similar to the arrangement in the Karur stampede case. She also sought witness protection under the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018.

“Formation of supervisory committee is needed due to the fact that various important facts were deliberately omitted in the charge-sheet which have clear nexus with the motive and intent with which this dastardly crime has happened. Various facts which goes to the root of the matter and requires a fair relook in the nature of de-novo investigation since the earlier investigation has been prima facie found deficient and impartial by the High Court,” Porkodi stated in her application.

The intervention follows the September 24 order of the Madras High Court, delivered by Justice P. Velmurugan, in a petition filed by Armstrong’s brother, Keynos. The Court had then directed a CBI probe after finding major shortcomings in the investigation by the State Police, citing procedural lapses and material contradictions in the chargesheet.

Porkodi noted that she had also filed a separate petition before the Madras High Court questioning the State Police’s investigation, but with the case now pending before the Supreme Court, the High Court was unlikely to issue further orders in her plea.

Armstrong, who was a well-known Dalit leader and the BSP’s Tamil Nadu president, was hacked to death on July 5, 2024, outside his residence in Perambur, Chennai, by a group of armed assailants.

UK PM Keir Starmer Calls Pakistani Grooming Gangs As Asian

UK PM Keir Starmer Calls Pakistani Grooming Gangs As Asian

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is facing strong criticism after a letter he wrote to survivors of child sexual abuse referred to perpetrators of grooming gang crimes as “Asian men.” Critics say the phrasing downplays the predominantly Pakistani and Bangladeshi Muslim backgrounds of those convicted in such cases.

The letter, dated 24 October 2025 and sent from 10 Downing Street, thanked four survivors – Fiona, Elizabeth, Jessica, and Ellie-Ann for serving on the expert panel of the national inquiry into grooming gangs. In it, Starmer acknowledged that “in some areas these crimes were disproportionately committed by Asian men,” promising that the inquiry would “look explicitly at that.”

The statement drew immediate backlash online, with many accusing the Prime Minister of using vague racial terminology to avoid identifying the cultural and religious aspects of the scandal.

National Inquiry in Crisis

Starmer’s comments come as his government faces growing mistrust from victims of grooming gang crimes. Four survivors recently resigned from the advisory panel overseeing the national inquiry, accusing the government of diluting the probe to avoid focusing solely on gangs largely made up of Pakistani-origin men. They alleged that officials were trying to broaden the inquiry to include other forms of sexual abuse, which they see as an attempt to water down its purpose.

The national inquiry was established in June after years of pressure over the government’s handling of grooming gang scandals, which have haunted Britain for more than two decades. Thousands of girls, some as young as 11, were sexually exploited across towns such as Rotherham, Rochdale, and Telford, mostly by Pakistani-origin men targeting white working-class girls. The survivors’ distrust has deepened after two candidates approached to lead the inquiry, a senior police officer and a social worker were rejected over alleged conflicts of interest linked to previous institutional cover-ups.

A Long and Troubled History

Reports of Pakistani taxi drivers grooming girls in Rotherham first emerged in 2001, but convictions began only after 2010. In one of the most notorious cases last month, seven Pakistani men were convicted in Rochdale for a five-year campaign of rape against two girls that began when they were just 13. The court heard that one of the victims had been “passed around for sex” by more than 200 offenders.

Despite hundreds of victims coming forward nationwide, only 68 perpetrators have been convicted so far. The majority are of Pakistani origin, with a few from Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Police and social workers were long accused of ignoring the abuse out of fear of being called racist or upsetting Labour’s voter base in Pakistani-dominated constituencies.

Chief Inspector Alan Edwards told The Times in 2001, “Everyone’s been too scared to address the ethnicity factor.” Labour’s hesitation has since been interpreted as political self-preservation, especially given its dependence on British-Pakistani communities for electoral support.

Starmer, alongside Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, has pledged that the inquiry will “keep survivors at its heart” and hold accountable both perpetrators and institutions that failed to act. But critics say his latest letter shows that the government still lacks the political will to confront the uncomfortable truths behind the grooming gang scandal.

Pune Techie Zubair Arrested By Maharashtra ATS For Alleged Links With Al Qaeda

A software engineer from Pune has been arrested by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) for his alleged links with Pakistan-based terrorist group Al Qaeda and for purportedly engaging in activities aimed at radicalising Indian youth.

The accused, identified as Zubair Hangargekar, was taken into custody from Pune’s Kondhwa area on Monday after being under ATS surveillance for nearly a month. He was produced before a Special Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) Court, which remanded him to police custody till 4 November 2025.

According to ATS officials, Hangargekar is suspected of involvement in anti-national activities and of plotting terror strikes in Maharashtra and other Indian cities. During searches at his residence and workplace, investigators reportedly seized electronic devices and documents that the police believe were intended to aid in the radicalisation of young people.

A senior police officer said the material recovered indicated possible links to online extremist networks and suggested that Hangargekar may have been in contact with foreign handlers.

The arrest follows a series of recent actions by the Pune ATS targeting alleged terror modules in the region. On October 9, the squad raided multiple locations across Pune, seizing digital storage devices and papers pointing to what authorities described as a “wider terror network” operating in western India. More recently, on October 27, Pune Police detained four individuals from the Chennai Express at Pune Railway Station for questioning in connection with the same probe.

Hangargekar’s arrest also coincides with a larger national effort to dismantle online extremist recruitment channels. Earlier this month, the Delhi Police’s Special Cell and Madhya Pradesh Police jointly arrested Mohammad Adnan Khan alias Abu Muharib (19) from Delhi’s Sadiq Nagar and Adnan Khan alias Abu Mohammad (20) from Bhopal in an Islamic State-related case.

Investigations into that case have revealed that both men were radicalised online and were reporting to a handler based in Syria, underscoring the continued activity of global jihadist networks despite territorial losses in the Middle East.

Intelligence Bureau sources said the India operations of both Al Qaeda and ISIS appear to be coordinated from Syria, where ISIS has recently re-emerged with renewed strength. Data cited by counter-terrorism officials suggest that ISIS has already conducted 115 attacks worldwide this year, compared to 72 last year, signaling a possible resurgence of the group’s operational capacity.

The ATS continues to question Hangargekar to determine the extent of his alleged involvement and identify any associates within India or abroad.

Zohran Mamdani Clarifies “Aunt” In His 9/11 Hijab Story Was Actually His Father’s Cousin

zohran mamdani jizya donation

Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani was forced to clarify Monday, 27 October 2025, that the “aunt” he described in an emotional campaign story about post-9/11 Islamophobia was actually his father’s cousin who passed away a few years ago, after critics questioned the account and identified his biological aunt as a woman living in Tanzania at the time.

The controversy emerged after Mamdani’s tearful speech on Friday outside the Islamic Cultural Center in The Bronx, where he recalled how his “aunt” stopped taking the subway after the 11 September 2001, terror attacks because she “did not feel safe in her hijab.”

The Democratic Socialist candidate addressed the controversy on Monday during a press conference, saying, “I was speaking about Zehra fuhi, my father’s cousin, who passed away a few years ago.” Mamdani explained that he used the term “fuhi,” which means paternal aunt in Urdu and Hindi, as a familial expression of respect rather than a literal reference to an aunt.

On 24 October 2025, Mamdani made the remarks outside a Bronx Mosque, where he spoke about what he described as “indignities” faced by Muslims in New York after the September 11 attacks.

Surrounded by Muslim community leaders, Mamdani said, “I want to speak to the Muslims of New York City.” In the next few seconds, in what seems like pretence to shed a few tears, he then spoke of the “memory of his aunt”, who stopped taking the subway after September 11. He said, “I want to speak to the memory of my aunt, who stopped taking the subway after September 11 because she did not feel safe in her hijab.” He also recounted allegedly being advised to conceal his religious identity when he first entered politics, describing these experiences as shared lessons among Muslim New Yorkers. Mamdani added that “over these last few days, these lessons have become the closing messages of Andrew Cuomo, Curtis Sliwa, and Eric Adams.”

Soon after, social media started digging into the details. Ater extensive review, it appears Zohran Mamdani has three aunts – two of whom are Hindu (from his mother’s side), making the hijab reference inapplicable, while the only Muslim aunt, according to public records and biographical information, is not known to wear a hijab and has never been a resident of New York City.

Further reporting indicates that during the period in question, his aunt was living in Tanzania. Records show she resided there from January 2000 until at least December 2003, meaning she was not in New York City before, during, or after the 9/11 attacks.

The fact-checking investigation concluded that the individual Mamdani referred to as his aunt “who was scared of taking the bus wearing her hijab” is a person who, according to available information, does not wear the hijab and was not living in the United States at the time.

However, as many netizens were expecting, Mamdani changed the goalpost and said he talked about a distant cousin of his father – the aunt he was referring to in his story.

Islamist NYC Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani’s Father Mahmood Mamdani In 2004 Book Says, Suicide Bomber Is A “Category Of Soldier”

In a resurfaced excerpt from his 2004 book, Mahmood Mamdani, a professor at Columbia University and father of New York mayoral candidate and Islamist terror supporter Zohran Mamdani, argued for a controversial reframing of suicide bombers, stating they should be seen as soldiers rather than barbarians in the aftermath of the 9/11 Twin Tower terror attack.

The excerpts, from his book Good Muslim, Bad Muslim: America, the Cold War, and the Roots of Terror, have gone viral. In them, Mamdani writes, “Suicide bombing needs to be understood as a feature of modern political violence rather than stigmatized as a mark of barbarism. We need to recognize the suicide bomber, first and foremost, as a category of soldier.”

This book was published just three years after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In a subsequent interview with the Asia Society, Mamdani elaborated on his stance, arguing that understanding non-state terror requires examining its link to state violence. He dismissed common Western media interpretations of suicide bombers as “a throwback to pre-modernity.”

Calling those views “too easy and too self-serving,” Mamdani presented his own analysis, stating, “The reality is more likely the opposite; the suicide bomber is more likely born of a youth revolt than of patriarchal authority. The suicide bomber comes out of the history of the Intifadah.”

He further justified his “soldier” classification by pointing to the prolonged Israeli occupation of Palestine, which he described as a “brutal reality.” He argued that the “failure of the older generation to find a humane alternative” led to the desperation of the young.

“Even then, we need to recognize that the term suicide bomber is a misnomer. The suicide bomber is a category of soldier whose objective is to kill – even if he or she must die to kill,” Mamdani said in the interview.

Shankar Who Gave Back-To-Back Flops Like Indian 2 And Game Changer Hails Another Flop Film That Peddles Hate Against Brahmins And Shows Nirmala Sitharaman Look-Alike As Corrupt

Tamil film director Shankar, who has been reeling from consecutive box office disappointments with Indian 2 and Game Changer, has now courted fresh controversy by praising yet another divisive film from Kollywood – Sakthi Thirumagan.

On his X handle, Shankar wrote: Happened to see #SakthiThirumagan on OTT. A thought provoking film. The questions raised by the director were very reasonable and impressive for me. So many issues were addressed in this movie. The intensity of the content grows bigger and bigger in an unexpected way. Hats off to @ArunPrabu_. Kudos to @vijayantony and the whole team!

However, Shankar’s endorsement has raised eyebrows across Tamil cinema circles and social media alike. The film he praised, directed by Arun Prabhu and starring Vijay Antony, has been widely criticised as a propaganda-laden Dravidianist project that vilifies the Brahmin community and peddles political bias under the guise of social realism.

Sakthi Thirumagan – A Dravidianist Communal Propaganda Film That Peddles Hate Against Brahmins

Shankar’s praise stands in stark contrast to the widespread criticism the film has received for its blatant communalism and political targeting. As analyzed by critics, Sakthi Thirumagan is not a subtle political thriller but a film that deliberately peddles hate.

Anti-Brahmin Caricatures: The central villain, a crony capitalist named Abhyankkar Srinivasa Swamy, is portrayed as a sloka-chanting Brahmin, a lazy and inflammatory stereotype. The narrative incessantly highlights a so-called “Brahmin lobby” as the source of the nation’s ills. In one of its most disturbing subplots, the “hero” seeks revenge for a rape by manipulating a minor to murder the perpetrator—a character pointedly identified as a Brahmin principal and pedophile.

Targeting a Union Minister: The film features a corrupt central minister character whose appearance is a clear, unflattering look-alike of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, a move perceived as a deliberate and personal political attack.

Glorifying Criminal Vigilantism: The protagonist, Kittu (Vijay Antony), is celebrated for engaging in unlawful activities, including cryptocurrency manipulation, funding bombings, and orchestrating murder, all framed as righteous acts against a corrupt system.

Overall, the film was a “toxic sh*t film” where the makers “jumped into the Dravidianist septic tank”, a film that scapegoated the Brahmin community and the Central Government for Tamil Nadu’s problems while absolving the state’s own political establishment.

Shankar’s Downward Graph

Shankar’s endorsement is particularly notable given his own precarious professional standing. Once hailed as a blockbuster maker, the director has recently faced two of the biggest commercial failures of his career.

Indian 2: The long-awaited sequel to his 1996 hit was a monumental box-office disaster, criticized for being shoddily made, a three-hour-long mess with a nonsensical plot, ridiculous Varma Kalai sequences, and cringe-worthy dialogues. The film cowardly parroted Dravidianist propaganda, demonizing Gujaratis and wealthy industrialists while ignoring Tamil Nadu’s own corruption.

Game Changer: Starring Ram Charan, this bilingual film also failed to connect with audiences, continuing Shankar’s string of poor performances.

This context makes his public support for another commercially unsuccessful and critically panned film a curious choice. Industry observers suggest that by aligning himself with the overtly EVRist and anti-establishment messaging of Sakthi Thirumagan, Shankar may be attempting to reposition himself within the dominant Dravidianist narrative.
