A land grabbing complaint has been filed against former DMK Minister TM Anbarasan at the St. Thomas Mount (Parangimalai) Police Station in Chennai, as per a Polimer News report.
According to the complaint, Rajesh Somasundaram, a resident of T. Nagar, has alleged that Anbarasan illegally occupied his 5,500 sq. ft. property located near the Jyothi Theatre in Alandur.
Rajesh alleged that the former minister has been in illegal possession of the land since 2024 and has refused to return the property despite repeated requests.
Before approaching the police, the complainant had also submitted a petition to the Chief Minister’s Special Cell seeking action over the alleged land encroachment.
Based on the complaint, the St. Thomas Mount Police have registered a Community Service Register (CSR) entry and initiated a preliminary inquiry into the allegations against the former minister.
Further investigation is underway.
