Japan and US will not standby if Taiwan is attacked, former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe tells Xi Jinping

Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has said that his country will not idly standby if China and Beijing need to understand this and called out President Xi Jinping while speaking to the Taiwanese think tank, the Institute for National Policy Research.

Abe was categorical when he said Japan and the United States could not idly stand by if China attacked Taiwan, as Chinese President Xi Jinping rachet tension over democratically ruled Taiwan and to have complete hegemony over the South China Sea and the Sea of Japan.

Taiwan’s government is now in a constant state of alert and it has made it very clear that it will defend itself if needed even if the odds are overwhelming.

Abe said, “The emergency in Taiwan is the emergency in Japan and Beijing, especially President Xi, must not have any misunderstandings about this,”.

Shinzo Abe delivered a video speech at a think tank event in Taipei on Wednesday (December 1) and in that virtual meet, Abe said, “The emergency in Taiwan is the emergency in Japan, in other words, it is also the emergency in the Japan-U.S. alliance. Beijing, especially President Xi, must not have any misunderstandings about this,”.

The Taiwanese think tank, the Institute for National Policy Research had invited and in that meet, Abe noted the Senkaku islands – which China calls the Diaoyu Islands – Sakishima islands and Yonaguni island are a mere 100 km (62 miles) or so away from Taiwan and an invasion of Taiwan would be a grave danger to Japan which also means to the entire region.

“Japan, Taiwan and all the people who believe in democracy need to keep urging President Xi Jinping and other Chinese Communist Party leaders repeatedly not to step onto a wrong path.A stronger Taiwan, a thriving Taiwan, and a Taiwan that guarantees freedom and human rights are also in Japan’s interests. Of course, this is also in the interests of the whole world,” Abe said.

It must be noted that Japan is home to major U.S. military bases, including Okinawa, a short flight from Taiwan, which would be crucial for any U.S. support during a Chinese attack.

For India, this statement could not have come at a better time as China has refused to defuse tension at Ladakh and by calling on Xi Jinping publicly, Shinzo Abe has become the first global leader to stand up and speak directly to the Communist dictator.

Chinese made drones being used for smuggling narcotics and weapons across Punjab and Jammu

The Border Security Force (BSF) has reported that small Chinese-made drones, carrying narcotics are flying over from across the border into Punjab and Jammu regions.

According to the BSF, these flights are a ”cause of concern” and technology solutions are being scouted actively, BSF director general (DG) Pankaj Kumar Singh said on Tuesday. The BSF is looking for ”low-cost technology solutions, smart fencing’, sensors, radars, and even countering the drones or the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) threat,” he said.

On the eve of the 57th Raising Day of the paramilitary, Singh told reporters that the BSF has seen at least 67 drone sightings in this year of drones along India’s western border with Pakistan. ”Right now, the frequency of drones that are coming to our country are fairly small and these are by-and-large Chinese-made drones…they are very good…and carrying small payloads and in 95 per cent cases they are carrying drugs.”

”We have installed some kind of anti-drone systems at the border and they are working fairly ok but we are in the process of getting more and more technology,” DG Singh said. He, however, added that covering the entire 2,300 km (of India-Pakistan border) with anti-drone system will cost a lost and hence a ”trade-off” can be thought upon.

Like if we have a vital installation or important asset on the border the anti-drone system to safeguard it can be installed there first, followed by other locations, Singh said. ”There is no fool proof system available in the entire world (regarding counter-drone tech)…there is no way as of now by which we can intercept, stall or make them (drones) de-active. We are in the process…this (getting anti-drone technology) is our number one priority I can tell you,” he said.

He told reporters that two drones have been shot down along the Pakistan border, he said and they have also come across instances of drones carrying weapons payload from across the Pakistan border into India and ”dropping them into our area”.

The BSF is now in constant touch with intelligence agencies and state police about these droppings as flights carrying narcotics or weapons have to be picked by someone on the Indian side and the DG also appreciated the Punjab Police and said they getting ”wonderful cooperation” from them.

Regarding the underground tunnels found in the Jammu area, Singh said the force is keeping a vigil on this activity and devising new methods to check these structures that aid infiltration.

The BSF is a 2.65 lakh para-military force raised on December 1, 1965, and is responsible for guarding over 6,300 km of the Indian fronts with Pakistan on the west and Bangladesh on the east.

Kerala: Islamist political outfit SDPI holds rally celebrating brutal murder of RSS worker

In the secular Communist state of Kerala, members of the Islamist Social Democratic Party (SDPI) took out a rally in Kozhikode, on the evening of 15 November to celebrate the brutal murder of an RSS worker in Palakkad district named Sanjith.

The rally was reminiscent of how the Nazis would go around terrorizing jews and in this rally organised by the SDPI, one could hear them say “1000 assalam to people who broke the rib of RSS worker”.

BJP spokesperson Amit Malaviya in a tweet said, “SDPI workers took out a celebration march, hailing the murderers of RSS worker Sanjith in Kozhikode, Kerala, on the evening of 15Nov. Slogans like “1000 assalam to people who broke the rib of RSS worker” and worse can be heard… Where is the “intolerance is on rise” brigade?.

Sanjith was travelling with this wife and child when Islamists attacked him and stabbed him multiple times. However, his wife who witnessed the murder of her husband by Islamic zealots was able to recognise the terrorists.

After the doctors conducted autopsy, they found more than 50 stab wounds on Sanjith’s body which tells the level of violence and blood-lust within this Taliban admiring group known as the SDPI.

Thousands of hygiene workers thrown out of jobs by DMK govt in Tamil Nadu: NCSK Chairman Ma. Venkatesan

In a recent press meet, the Chairman of the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis Ma. Venkatesan has exposed the true reality of the DMK governance in Tamil Nadu. Venkatesan narrates an ordeal that a woman sanitary worker went through in Kuttalam in Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu. He also mentioned that around 3000 hygiene workers across the state have been thrown out of their jobs by the DMK government leaving them on the streets.

Nadhiya from Kuttalam, consumed rat poison and was admitted in the hospital after she was fired from her job. Consuming poison was not her first response. She first approached the government officer related to the issue, who diverted her to DMK Kuttalam Secretary.

“When she approached the Secretary, he said that she cannot continue her job because she was hired by the previously ruling government. He also said that as the DMK has come to power, they will only take those who voted them to power. I have full evidence while I say this, as Nadhiya has submitted a written complaint,” Ma. Venkatesan said.

Nadhiya gave her complaint and even spoke to news channels from the hospital, but passed away three days later. Complaints had been filed on Samsudeen, the DMK Secretary and his Deputy Secretary Shanmugham, but no action has been taken on them. “All over Tamil Nadu, so many women, especially from the SC, ST and the OBC communities have been fired and they’re all currently without a job,” Ma. Venkatesan added.

All those who have been fired have sincerely done their job for the past 5 years, from 2016. They even worked hard during the COVID-19 pandemic and many even contracted the virus because of this. Although they were only Sanitation workers, they did a lot more than what they were required to do during the pandemic, because of lack of workers.

“I have already met with the Governor and filed a petition with him regarding this issue. I have also given a letter to Hardip Singh Puri, the Central Minister in-charge and have asked him to investigate the matter,” Venkatesan concluded. Check out his full speech here:

Uttarkhand Govt repeals Char Dham Devasthanam Board Management Act

In the poll-bound state of Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday (30 November) announced that the BJP ruled state has decided to repeal the controversial Char Dham Devasthanam Board Management Act.

When the Char Dham Devasthanam Board Management Act was enacted many Hindus felt that this was a betrayal as Hindus in India want to control their own temples just as Muslims and Christians do of their places of worship.

The announcement comes just months from the state election and after a high-level committee that was set up by the Dhami government to take a look into the Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam Management Act, 2019, the committee submitted its final report to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Rishikesh on Sunday.

The act was passed by the BJP government in Uttarakhand in 2019 when Trivendra Singh Rawat was CM under which the administration of 51 temples including the Char Dham – Shri Badrinath, Shri Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri- was handed over to Char Dham Devasthanam Board.

However, priests of the Chardham — Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri fearlessly opposed the formation of board, which they saw as a violation of their rights, and have been demanding its dissolution.

Russia tests Tsirkon hypersonic cruise missile at Barents Sea

Russia has gotten one step closer to perfecting its hypersonic cruise missile as it again tested Tsirkon hypersonic cruise missile on Monday (November 29)

The hypersonic cruise missile is the next level in advanced weapons design and as of now, Russia, the United States, France, and China have all been experimenting with hypersonic glide vehicles that would allow the missile to reach speeds of at least Mach 5.

The missile was fired from the warship Admiral Gorshkov as part of “the completion of tests” of Russia’s hypersonic missile weapons. The Tsirkon missile was launched in the Barents Sea at a range of 400 kilometers, and “the target was hit,” the Defense Ministry said.

Russia is working on equipping both its warships and submarines with the Tsirkon that has undergone a number of recent tests. If the missile is integrated with a submarine, it would pose even more danger to adversaries because it is almost impossible to shoot a missile traveling at mach5.

Russian President Vladimir Putin made the announcement of the development of the new weapon in a state of the nation address in February 2019 and said the missile could hit targets at sea and on land with a range of 1,000 kilometers and a speed of Mach 9.

Russia’s latest Tsirkon test came in the wake of a Chinese hypersonic glider test flight that was conducted in July when China claimed it successfully testes a missile that is five times the speed of sound over the South China Sea. However, China has claimed that it was a routine test of a reusable space vehicle.
