Muslim Woman In Rajasthan Assaulted Allegedly By Islamist Mob For Pro-BJP Slogans

A distressing video from Jaipur, Rajasthan, is gaining traction on social media, showing a mob assaulting a mentally challenged woman while police officers attempt to protect her from the violent attack. The woman, who is from the Muslim community, was targeted by members of her own religion due to certain slogans she had written on the exterior walls of her house.

According to reports, the incident occurred approximately ten days ago, but the video of the woman being assaulted came to light recently. The attempted lynching took place on 21 July 2023 in Kalyan Nagar, situated within the jurisdiction of Malpura Gate Police Station.

On the day of the incident, a furious mob assembled outside the woman’s residence. Fearing for her life, the woman sought refuge inside her house and locked herself in. However, the Islamist mob forcibly entered her home by breaking down the gate. Subsequently, they forcefully entered the room on the upper floor and subjected the woman to a vicious and brutal assault.

The mob violently dragged her out by pulling her hair and clothes, then callously threw her into the mud. Upon receiving the information, the police promptly arrived at the scene. After approximately an hour, Constable Dholi Bai, who was stationed at Malpura Gate police station, along with other police personnel, intervened and rescued the 40-year-old woman from being lynched by the mob.

It has been reported that Constable Dholi Bai received information that a woman had locked herself inside a house in Kalyan Nagar. There was a large crowd of approximately 100 to 150 people gathered outside her residence, attempting to harm her. In response, Constable Dholi Bai, along with Harlal and SI Anil, quickly rushed to the scene.

Upon reaching the location, she observed a large mob gathered outside a house. Some individuals were attempting to break the gate of the house by climbing onto the second floor. Before long, they successfully broke the gate and began assaulting the woman. Despite the presence of police personnel inside the house, they were outnumbered and overwhelmed by the mob, leading to the forceful dragging of the woman out of the house.

Once the woman was forcibly dragged out of her house, the mob persistently thrashed her, even in the presence of police personnel. Constable Dholi Bai recounted that the mob went to the extent of pushing and attempting to attack the police officers. However, the police officers bravely held onto the woman and tried to shield her from further harm. Despite the mob’s relentless assault, the police stood their ground and protected the woman for nearly an hour.

With additional help and support, the police successfully managed to rescue the woman from the violent mob and promptly sent her to the hospital for medical attention. According to the police officials, the woman is mentally challenged, and the incident was triggered by some objectionable things she had reportedly written on the walls of her house. These writings had apparently offended the sentiments of the local residents, leading to the disturbing incident.

She Was Lynched For Writing Pro-BJP Slogans

Based on the complaint filed by the woman’s husband, Sahadat Ali, the police registered a case of assault. The police explained that they did not make immediate arrests during the Muharram period. However, after reviewing the video footage from that day, they took action and arrested seven individuals who were part of the violent mob on Sunday, 30 July 2023. This action was taken approximately ten days after the incident occurred.

In connection with the incident, the authorities arrested seven individuals from Kalyan Nagar, namely Nasiruddin, Rashid, Mustaq, Irfan Khan, Ejaz Khan, Ikram Deshwali, and Kalamuddin.

According to a report by Navbharat Times, the Muslim woman was targeted by an Islamist mob due to her support for the BJP. The alleged objectionable content on her house walls were actually Pro-BJP slogans and a lotus flower, symbolizing her political allegiance. This act apparently infuriated members of her own community, leading to the violent assault and attempted lynching.

TN BJP Head Annamalai Proposes Palmyra And Coconut Toddy As Healthy Alternatives To TASMAC Liquor

On 28 July 2023, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, flagged off the ‘En Mann, En Makkal’ padayatra (foot march) spear headed by tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President K Annamalai from the coastal town of Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu.  This padayatra/ campaign seeks to make a resounding impact ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

In an address to a massive crowd in Ramanathapuram as part of the padayatra, Annamalai, made a fervent pledge to uplift the economically weak palmyra farmers in the region. Highlighting the significance of palmyra trees in Tamil Nadu’s Ramanathapuram District, which boasts 15% of India’s total palmyra tree count, Annamalai lamented the prevailing poverty among these farmers and presented a promising vision for their betterment.

Addressing the issue head-on, Annamalai unveiled a comprehensive plan to replace TASMAC liquor with palmyra and coconut toddy, while simultaneously distributing palmyra products through ration shops. He emphasised that the aim of this strategic move is to eliminate the exploitation of the youth and the detrimental effects of alcohol addiction, which he attributed to the conspiracy by the DMK government.

Annamalai said, “Opening more TASMAC outlets all over Tamil Nadu and in order to get more revenue, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam government is making our people drunkards and alcohol addicts. The Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party is very clear about the fact that we will open toddy shops in the state. We are clear about passing on the products of coconut and palmyra trees. BJP aims to distribute palm sugar instead of white sugar through ration/PDS shops. There are 10 crore palm trees in India of which 5 crore are in Tamil Nadu and Ramanathapuram constitutes 1.5 crore trees i.e., 15% palm trees of the whole of India is in Ramanathapuram. If we close TASMAC outlets and pass on the products of palm and coconut trees to the people, there will be no poor person here. Whoever has a palm tree at their home should be rich.”

The BJP leader advocated for the utilisation of the vast potential of palmyra and coconut trees, expressing his commitment to providing extensive benefits to the people of Tamil Nadu. He asserted that if the BJP is voted to power, brown sugar extracted from palmyra would replace white sugar in ration shops, further supporting the economic prosperity of palmyra farmers.

Annamalai made a compelling case for the economic impact of this plan, noting that Tamil Nadu alone boasts a staggering 5 crore palmyra trees, with Ramanathapuram District alone accounting for 1.5 crore trees, representing 15% of India’s palmyra tree population. According to him, this abundance of resources, if rightfully recognised and marketed, could transform Ramanathapuram into one of the wealthiest districts in India.

In his address, Annamalai drew a sharp contrast between the prevailing situation, where palmyra farmers toil tirelessly, yet remain impoverished and living in meager conditions, and the promising future he envisions under a BJP-led government. He painted a picture of prosperity and improved livelihoods, where palmyra farmers will no longer languish in poverty, and their hard work will be adequately rewarded.

The BJP leader also criticised the current government’s operation of TASMAC, alleging that it is meant to support certain liquor factories, perpetuating the exploitation of palmyra farmers for personal gains.

Annamalai reaffirmed the BJP’s unwavering commitment to transforming the lives of palmyra farmers and ushering in a new era of prosperity through the promotion and recognition of palmyra and coconut products.

Did Past Congress Governments Keep Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s Family Under Surveillance?

A recent tweet by a Twitter user stirred up the question of whether past Congress governments engaged in surveillance on the family of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose once again. Declassified British and Indian documents indicate that the findings of this surveillance were shared with Britain’s MI5 intelligence agency.

The West Bengal government’s intelligence branch declassified files, which were shared with the Intelligence Bureau (IB), revealing that several members of Subhas Chandra Bose’s family were subjected to surveillance from 1948 to 1968. Jawaharlal Nehru, who served as the Prime Minister from 1947 to 1964, had direct oversight of the IB during that period.

The documents shared below prove that this is not any deliberate attempt at tarnishing Nehru’s image.

Anuj Dhar, the author of “India’s Biggest Cover-Up,” discovered the documents in Britain’s National Archives concerning the exchange of information between the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and MI5. The documents revealed that Indian intelligence agents shared information obtained from the letters of Subhas Chandra Bose’s relatives with their British counterparts. Anuj Dhar’s book investigates the enigma surrounding Netaji’s alleged death in a plane crash in 1945.

A letter written by Nehru on November 26, 1957, was discovered by Anuj Dhar, and in the letter, Nehru instructed the then foreign secretary, Subimal Dutt, to gather additional information about a trip made to Japan by Netaji’s nephew, Amiya Nath Bose.

Source: Anuj Dhar’s Facebook page

Nehru wrote, “Just before I left Japan, I heard that Shri Amiya Bose, son of Shri Sarat Chandra Bose, had reached Tokyo. He had, previously, when I was in India, informed me that he was going there. I should like you to write to our ambassador at Tokyo to find out from him what Shri Amiya Bose did in Tokyo. Did he go to our Embassy? Did he visit this Renkoji Temple?”

The Indian Ambassador in Japan at that time, CS Jha, replied that there was no evidence of Amiya Bose engaging in any objectionable activities during his visit to Japan.

According to another document from the British National Archives, the Intelligence Bureau (IB) shared the contents of a letter with MI5. This letter was penned in 1947 by a close associate of Netaji who was in Switzerland. The information in the letter was obtained through what was euphemistically referred to as “secret censorship,” which essentially implies surveillance. The IB sought MI5’s input on the matter.

Source: Anuj Dhar’s Facebook page

As per the document, IB’s deputy director SB Shetty was in contact with KM Bourne, MI5’s security liaison officer posted in Delhi. Bourne promptly sent Nambiar’s letter to the MI5 director general on the following day and requested his input on the matter.

Based on another declassified document from the British archives, it was revealed that British intelligence viewed Nambiar, who had served as Bose’s representative to Germany during World War II, as a friend of the Soviet Union.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, author of the book “India’s Biggest Cover-Up”, Anuj Dhar pointed out that these documents indicate a close working relationship between the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and MI5 after India’s independence. Dhar expressed his concerns over who the IB was serving as they continued to conduct surveillance on Bose’s family post-independence, treating him as an enemy rather than serving British interests.

According to Dhar, the Congress’ mistrust of Netaji can be linked back to the disagreement between Nehru and Bose in 1939. Bose resigned as the president of the Indian National Congress during this period. Both Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru were against Bose’s calls for self-governance and the use of force to achieve independence. This difference in ideology and approach led to tensions and suspicion within the Congress party towards Netaji.

V Balachandran, a former special secretary of R&AW (Research and Analysis Wing), emphasized the significance of the documents revealing the collaboration between the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and MI5. He stated that these documents corroborate the revelations found in the authorized history of MI5, indicating that Nehru had permitted the British to station a security liaison officer in New Delhi.

The website of MI5 also substantiates this further. It is mentioned in this link that, “Indian independence in 1947 set an important precedent for the rest of British decolonisation. The government of Jawaharlal Nehru agreed to the stationing of an MI5 Security Liaison Officer (SLO) in New Delhi after the end of British rule. For almost a quarter of a century, relations between MI5 and its Indian counterpart, the Delhi Intelligence Branch (DIB), were closer and more confident than those between any other departments of the British and Indian governments. In other newly independent Commonwealth countries, as in India, the continued presence of an SLO became a significant, though usually undisclosed, part of the transfer of power.”

NIA Action: Malappuram’s Green Valley Academy, PFI’s Largest Arms Training Centre, Attached in Crackdown on PFI

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken action against the Popular Front of India (PFI) by attaching the Green Valley Academy in Manjeri, Malappuram district, Kerala. The Green Valley Academy, managed by the Green Valley Foundation, had allegedly served as a training centre for PFI members. As per the NIA, the Green Valley in Kerala was one of the PFI’s oldest and largest centres for arms training. Its establishment dates back to 1994, during the time when it was associated with the National Development Front, a former organisation of the PFI.

According to the NIA, the Green Valley Academy, managed by Green Valley Foundation, initially served as a facility for arms and physical training for cadres of the National Development Front (NDF) and later for members of the Popular Front of India (PFI). The sprawling area covers 10 hectares and ewas allegedly utilised by PFI members as a hideout following their involvement in various criminal activities, including murder.

The NIA further asserted that the Green Valley operated under the pretext of being an educational institution. Apart from the Green Valley Academy, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has also attached several other PFI training centres, including Malabar House, Periyar Valley, Valluvanad House, Karunya Charitable Trust, and Trivandrum Education and Service Trust. The NIA is actively investigating additional institutions and buildings affiliated with the PFI that are suspected of being used for arms training and propagating ideological activities

This is the 6th Arms Training Centre of the PFI and the 18th property of the outfit to be attached by the NIA in Kerala under the UA(P) Act. On 17 March 2023, the NIA filed a chargesheet against 59 accused, including the PFI as an organisation, in the case RC-02/2022/NIA/KOC.

The NIA, in its statement said that, PFI had been employing the property to provide arms training, physical training, and instruction on the use and testing of explosives to its cadres, specifically those belonging to their ‘Service Wing’. The facility was used as a hideout for ‘PFI Service Wing’ members following their involvement in criminal activities, including murders. The NIA also stated that the centre was used to impart radical and divisive ideological training, promoting the PFI’s communal agenda and policies, to its trained operatives, cadres, and members. Offices of the PFI and its affiliated organisations were said to be operating from this location, disguised as educational institutions.

Twelve more PFI offices, intermittently utilised by the organisation’s leadership, have also been attached by authorities. These offices were used for organising arms and physical training, propagating ideologies, and providing training for various criminal activities, including murders and acts of terrorism.

According to NIA investigations, the PFI has been operating numerous training centres under the guise of charitable and educational trusts established by the organisation’s members or leaders. The investigations have also uncovered that PFI rented several buildings to conduct their training camps and engage in activities related to terrorism and violence.

Speaking to ANI, the MoS External Affairs V Muraleedharan said that “The closing down of the Green Valley Foundation by the NIA in Kerala establishes the fact that in Kerala, the Islamic terrorist organisations are getting a covert support from the ruling dispensations of Kerala, be it CPM or the Congress. The shocking fact is that NIA has said that this centre has large storage of arms and giving training in arms but in spite of that this centre has been functioning there for more than a decade.”

He also said that he had led an agitation as the President of Kerala BJP almost a decade ago against this centre but the state governments did not take any action then.

Hindu Shoba Yatra Attacked In Nuh, Mob Pelts Stones & Indulge In Arson, VHP Alleges Attack Was A Planned One

Cover Image Courtesy: Hindustan Times

On 31 July 2023, on the occasion of Shravan Somwar, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad organised a Hindu shobha yatra in Haryana’s Nuh district in the Mewat region. The event took a violent turn when stones were thrown at the Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Religious Mewat Yatra. In videos of the clashes, a mob can be heard chanting “Allahu Akbar” and engaging in riotous activities. During the incident, two home guards were killed, and approximately a dozen policemen sustained injuries as a mob attempted to halt the Hindu religious procession on the auspicious occasion. The situation escalated as the mob pelted stones and set cars on fire, leading to clashes and causing significant unrest in the area.

After individuals from a minority community reportedly attacked one of the vehicles in the religious procession, the police responded by using teargas shells to disperse the crowds. The situation escalated with both sides engaging in stone-throwing, leading to increased anxiety in the area. As a precautionary measure, authorities imposed Section 144 to maintain order.

To address the tense situation, the Nuh Deputy Commissioner scheduled a meeting with representatives from both parties involved in the clashes. Additionally, in an effort to curb the spread of misinformation and rumors on social media platforms, the Home Secretary of Haryana ordered the suspension of mobile internet services in the district from 31 July to 2 August 2023. As per media reports, the suspension of mobile internet services in the Nuh district was aimed at controlling the situation and preventing any further loss of life and damage to public and private properties.

During the Shobha yatra, participants, including women, were stranded at Nuh temples, chowks, and other buildings after a mob began pelting stones at them. A VHP leader confirmed that numerous VHP workers were also trapped in Nuh temples. When the yatra was attacked, some VHP workers sought help. They also highlighted that the mob had targeted them in a well-organised manner. Consequently, many devotees were forced to seek shelter to protect themselves from stone-throwing and gunshots. Media reports suggested that the yatra participants sought refuge in a temple near Gurugram due to the volatile situation.

During the unrest, the mob resorted to pelting stones and setting several cars on fire. The police initially attempted to disperse the mob by using teargas shells and firing shots in the air but eventually had to call for reinforcements. ADGP (Law and Order) Mamta Singh later led additional forces to rescue the people (approximately 2500 of them) who had sought shelter at the Nalhar temple in Nuh.

A news portal named Maktoob Media reported the violent rioting and mob activity as a “clash” which broke out during a “VHP rally” in Nuh.

This media outlet was previously credited by BBC in a banned documentary which was perceived as a smear campaign against PM Modi. The report claimed that “a procession by Bajrang Dal and VHP turned violent” while it is very clear what the identity of the perpetrators is.

New information reveals that the riot in Nuh was preplanned. A Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader, Alok Kumar, who was present during the violence shared details with OpIndia, claiming that the attack on the religious yatra was premeditated. He alleged that it was a planned attack and that the mob had gathered stones two days before the Shobha Yatra, which indicated that they had a clear intention of targeting Hindus during the religious procession.

The VHP leader also said that, “the yatra is carried out every year, and that the police was not prepared for this procession but the Muslims were. They have been collecting stones for the past few days and planning was being carried out. The yatra would have progressed only about 1 km that the attack started. The attack was an organised one. They attempted to hurt us as we ran. Stone pelting, arson, shots fired, with such a huge preparation that such a horrifying incident takes place, and people are getting killed and injured. Yes, there is information that it was a sensitive area but the government did not take adequate measures. I believe that this is an error on the side of Intelligence.”

When the yatra came under attack, some VHP workers sought assistance as they were targeted by the mob in a well-organised manner. They highlighted that the mob had targeted them in an organised manner as a result of which many devotees became hostages since they had to find shelter to protect themselves from stone pelting and gunshots.

As a response to the violent events, authorities have decided to keep all schools and colleges in Gurugram and Faridabad closed on Tuesday, August 1. In addition, prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) have been enforced in Gurugram and Nuh to maintain public order and prevent any further unrest.

Badri Seshadri Granted Bail

Writer, publisher and political commentator Badri Seshadri, who was arrested on the early of Saturday (29 July 2023) has been granted bail by the Kunnam Magistrate Court in Perambalur, Tamil Nadu.

The Judicial Magistrate Court in Kunnam dismissed the petition for police custody and granted bail to Badri Seshadri with the condition that he stays at Sri Rangam and appear before Judicial Magistrate Court at Sri Rangam until further orders.

Badri was arrested by the Tamil Nadu police regarding his comments in an interview to a YouTube channel about the Manipur issue based on a complaint given by one advocate Kaviyarasu.

“Yesterday, the Supreme Court like a big…. I don’t know what word to say. ‘If you can’t do it (contain the violence), we will get down and do it.’ We should give a gun in the hand of Chandrachud (Chief Justice of India) and ask him to go there and do what he can to restore peace. Simply, talking anything without relation. Can you (judiciary) enter into the realm of governance? What fault did you find in what is being done [by the government] there [to restore normalcy]? Two groups are fighting. It is a hilly terrain. A complex land. In that, a few murders will happen. Why did they fight? Could we have prevented the reason for the two groups fighting? It can’t be done easily.”, he can be heard telling in the interview.

These comments about the Chief Justice of India was the reason for the arrest as this clip was picked and shared by Dravidian Stockists and DMK sympathizers.

He was charged with Sections 153 (Wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause riot), 153 A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony and 505 (Statements conducing to public mischief).

Many from across the ideological spectrum condemned the DMK government for arresting Badri Seshadri.

BJP Tamil Nadu President condemned the DMK government for arresting Badri Seshadri saying “This corrupt DMK government is relying only on arrests without power to address the views of the common people. Is the Tamil Nadu Police’s job only to enforce the revenge measures of the corrupt DMK government?”

Political commentator Savukku Shankar too condemned the DMK government for the arrest.

Leftist historian Ramachandra Guha wrote to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin criticising the arrest of Badri Seshadri.

“I do not endorse Mr Seshadri’s political views, yet his arrest is inconsistent with the principles of natural justice. It brings discredit to your Government and to the culture and history of the Tamil people. Given this rich literary and intellectual history, Tamil Nadu should be the last state in the Indian Union to be held guilty of persecuting writers for their political views. Mr Seshadri is accused of having criticised the Supreme Court of India. In a functioning democracy, such criticisms cannot be by themselves a basis for arrest. If there is a case to be made against him, it should be made in court. A pre-emptive arrest merely on the basis of an FIR [First Information Report] appears to be an act of political vindictiveness.”, Guha said in his letter.

A few other leftists penned a softly worded letter to MK Stalin urging the release of Badri Seshadri.

Seeman Says Christians & Muslims Became Satan’s Children Long Back, Attacks Cong & DMK For Keeping Mum On Eelam Tamil Issue

A portion of a speech given by Naam Tamilar Katchi’s head, Seeman has been making the rounds on Twitter (or rather X). In the video, he is says that Muslims and Christians became children of Satan long back and castigated them for voting for Congress and the DMK.

This is a part of a longer speech he gave at a protest demonstration condemning Manipur violence.

Seeman attributed the violence in Manipur to disputes over forest resources and accused the Central government of negligence in addressing the situation. He highlighted the religious divide among the tribes, claiming that the Kukis, mainly residing in the hills, are predominantly Christians and less likely to vote for the BJP, whereas the Meitei in the plains are followers of RSS/Hindutva ideology and tend to support the BJP.

During his speech, Seeman repeated the false information about the Gujarat riots especially about an incident that had been debunked by official documents and court testimonies. He claimed a pregnant woman’s belly was cut open and her foetus was taken out. This lie has been debunked decades ago as the post-mortem told a different story – read more here. The foetus was intact and documents were presented at the special court.

Seeman asserted that the DMK had expressed so much support for the Gujarat riots in the past, with prominent members like Murasoli Maran, TR Baalu, and Vaiko speaking in favour of the riots in the Parliament, that even BJP would feel embarrassed. He criticised the DMK and Congress for remaining silent on other instances of violence, particularly the ethnic cleansing of Tamils in Sri Lanka.

According to Seeman, the DMK and Congress had failed to raise their voices against the atrocities committed during the ethnic cleansing in Sri Lankan Tamils. However, now they are vocal about the issues in Manipur, which he believes undermines their credibility. He claimed that the NTK was the only party eligible to speak about the violence and injustice in Manipur, Gujarat, Sri Lanka, and Kashmir.

Seeman accused the DMK and Congress of exploiting sensitive issues like the Manipur violence for political gains, particularly during elections. He pointed out that during the Congress tenure, Irom Sharmila was on a 16-year-long fast, raising concerns about violence and human rights violations. He also mentioned that these are the same people who said “If there is an Army, there will be rape”.

Seeman accused the DMK of using the Eelam issue for their political advantage without genuinely voicing support for the affected ethnic people. He claimed that his party is advocating for the people in Manipur without expecting any electoral benefits, as Manipuris and Christians there are unlikely to vote for him. He also said, “We think Muslims and Christians are children of God but it is a fact that they became children of Satan a long time ago. They just go to church and sing and give the country away to undeserving people.”

He also blamed the Christians and Muslims for voting for the DMK election after the election and bringing the country to the roads. “Muslims and Christians need to take responsibility for all the injustice happening in the country today. They have given their 18% vote share to DMK and Congress all these years and brought the country to the roads. Appalling levels of corruption, bribery, poor administration of the country – they are responsible for it. What is the point of getting our sins forgiven at the church, they are the biggest sin! Who are they to forgive us?”

Seeman claimed that Muslims may have a perception that the DMK will protect them, but he criticised the party for allegedly keeping Muslims in prison for extended periods, which he sees as an ironic form of protection. He challenged the DMK to release the innocent Muslim prisoners and promised that his party, the NTK, would support them in the elections if they take such action. He accused the DMK of being afraid of the Congress when it comes to releasing Tamil prisoners and suggested that they might also be reluctant to release Muslim prisoners due to their fear of the BJP. Seeman emphasised that their goal should not solely be to oppose the BJP and Congress, as he believes the DMK is also playing a supporting role for them and preventing their downfall.

Seeman criticised the voters for enduring hardships under the ruling party. He pointed out that during the summer months, people wait in long queues for water and complain when their harvested grains are affected during the monsoon. Despite these difficulties, he accused the voters of repeating the same mistakes by supporting the DMK.

He mentioned that women vote for the DMK, are lured by incentives like ₹1000. Seeman expressed his dissatisfaction with the early advertisement of such benefits, starting 6 months ago in spite of the fact that the scheme was going to be rolled out only in September 2023 implying that it is a tactic to influence voters.

Seeman further criticised the excessive glorification of the late DMK leader Karunanidhi. He sarcastically suggested that even institutions like wedding halls, libraries, and dental hospitals were being named after him. He expressed frustration with the naming of roads, streets, and various places after Karunanidhi and compared it to the extent of glorification as if the entire state and even people’s houses should bear his name.

During elections, especially the recent Erode elections, Seeman claimed that DMK members go to great lengths to gain favour with voters, even resorting to doing household chores for them in some instances. He implied that such actions were opportunistic and aimed at gaining political support.

India Launches Revolutionary Autonomous Underwater Vehicle ‘Neerakshi’ With Mine Detection Capabilities

On 28 July 2023, a revolutionary autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) with mine detection capabilities was unveiled, marking a first-of-its-kind achievement in the country.

The AUV, named ‘Neerakshi,’ is the result of a collaborative effort between Kolkata-based warshipmaker Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd and MSME entity AEPL.

Source: PSU Connect

Following the completion of user trials by the Indian Navy, Coast Guard, and potentially the Army, the AUV is expected to be commercially launched within six months to a year, as stated by GRSE chairman and managing director Commodore (Retd) P R Hari during the launch event. The AUV offers versatile functionality, ranging from mine detection to mine disposal and underwater survey tasks.

The project has received an overwhelming initial response, and GRSE’s CMD expressed confidence that it will lead to numerous beneficial projects for both the shipbuilder and the nation.

Although compact and unassuming, Neerakshi possesses potent and multirole capabilities, as emphasized during the launch.

Secretary of Defense R and D Department and DRDO Chairman, Samir V Kamat, expressed delight at witnessing a collaboration between a major shipyard and an MSME, resulting in the indigenously designed and developed AUV. Kamat highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of self-reliance and becoming a leading defense systems exporter, which can be realized through such partnerships.

GRSE also expressed its interest in developing autonomous sea surface vehicles, sea-based drones, and exploring green propulsion for ships and other platforms.

Presently, Neerakshi is equipped for mine detection, but the future plan is to enable it for mine disposal as well. Upon completion of user trials and incorporation of user requirements, the AUV will enter commercial production.

The launched AUV is currently a prototype, boasting an endurance of four hours and the ability to reach depths of up to 300 meters. Efforts are underway to enhance its endurance to 300 percent, enabling deployment in coastal waters for coastal protection, either from a mother ship or directly from the coast.

The collaboration between the leading shipbuilder and Aerospace Engineering Private Ltd (AEPL) demonstrates the successful marriage of vast expertise from a major warship builder and the innovative potentials of MSMEs like AEPL, which have dedicated innovation divisions.

Considering the importance of technology in defense equipment, GRSE management decided to concentrate on areas like green energy platforms and autonomous platforms, intending to venture into all three domains of autonomous platforms – sub-surface, surface, and aerial.

Additionally, an unmanned surface vessel is nearing completion and is scheduled for launch by the end of the year.

Emphasizing the significance of new and critical technology for the future, GRSE launched a national open startup challenge called GAINS to tap into the capabilities of the Indian startup ecosystem.

Alleged Multi-Crore Scam Involving DMK Minister Ponmudi’s Family And Surya Educational Trust

In a recent video release, Maridhas uncovered startling information about the alleged scam involving the allocation of mineral saplings in Poothurai village, Villupuram district.

Simultaneously, the video sheds light on the massive wealth amassed by the Ponmudi and his family, amounting to over ₹ 2,000 crore, from two quarries alone. This is believed to be only a fraction of the assets accumulated during Ponmudi’s tenure from 2007 to 2011, as per the allegations in the video.

The investigation reveals a network of assets and entities that were allegedly used to funnel the ill-gotten money. Surya College of Engineering, College of Pharmacy, Polytechnic, K.M. Speciality Hospital in KK Nagar, Chennai, and BloomLife Hospital in Velachery, Chennai are among the establishments allegedly linked to Ponmudi’s family. To facilitate the movement of the allegedly looted money, Surya Educational Trust was created, which reportedly acquired around 200 acres of land to build the educational institutions in Veerapandi area and the hospitals in Chennai over a period of time between 2006-2011.

It is alleged that Surya Educaitonal Trust was founded in 2006 registered at RA Puram, Chennai and the Chairman of this Trust is none other than Gautham Sigamani, elder son of Ponmudi.

Maridhas alleges that the Surya Educational Trust was established as part of an effort to funnel the allegedly misappropriated funds. The Trust has been involved in acquiring approximately 200 acres of land. Documents available reveal the details of these land purchases, indicating a pattern of acquiring properties from 2006 until the end of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam rule in 2011.

The video provides copies of documents as evidence of land purchases carried out by the trust from 2006 until the end of the DMK’s rule in 2011. Additionally, about 25 acres of land is donated to the Surya Educational Trust, by one B. Kannamma. Upon further scrunity, it is revealed that this Kannamma is none other than Ashok Sigamani’s mother-in-law. However, it is further revealed that the land allegedly “donated” to the Trust was not her own in the first place, and that it allegedly belonged to Ponmudi’s sons and they bought it two years earlier.

In a decisive conclusion to his video, Maridhas leaves no room for doubt about the alleged corruption and fraudulent activities of Ponmudi’s sons group. He asserts that the Ponmudi family is resorting to multiple deceitful tactics to conceal their ill-gotten wealth, including involvement of the daughter-in-law. Maridhas labels these actions as a conspiracy to cover up benami properties and alleges that Surya Educational Trust is at the heart of this scheme.

Maridhas presents evidence suggesting that a portion of the 200 acres land (allegedly agricultural land), under the guise of a loan of approximately ₹ 6 crore from Union Bank of India, was used to construct an educational institution. However, the actual worth of the land, according to their records, is stated to be a meagre ₹2 lakh. This stark difference in value raises suspicions of money laundering and attempts to legitimize the illicitly obtained wealth.

The video points to a local game orchestrated by Ponmudi’s sons, involving fraudulent loans and suspicious property transactions. Maridhas hints at the release of documents exposing major international crimes committed by the family. The vast wealth generated from mineral resources in just two villages leads to troubling speculation about the potential scale of looting across Tamil Nadu.

Maridhas’ investigation concludes with a call for accountability and justice. He emphasizes that Ponmudi, his sons, daughters-in-law, and the entire family should face the consequences of their alleged actions, serving as a significant lesson for society.

Another Banner Erected By DMK Ally MMK Derogating Bharat Mata Surfaces

The ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s ally Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK) has been facing heat for a banner erected in Batlagundu over the Manipur violence targeting the Modi government in which Hindu Gods Ram, Lakshman and Sita have been portrayed in a derogatory manner.

The banner had caricatured images of Narendra Modi as Lord Ram and Amit Shah as Lord Lakshman holding bow and arrows standing on either sides of a naked woman (Goddess Sita), hinting at the horrific incident in Manipur in which a woman was paraded naked and sexually assaulted. The Indian tricolour can be seen covering the female genitals and the breasts of the caricatured woman.

The Commune had reported about the incident on 29 July 2023 and had also reached out to Jawahirullah for comments following which Jawahirullah took to social media and apologized for the derogatory board placed by members of his party.

Even as the dust is yet to settle on this matter, another banner erected by the alleged Islamist party in Chennai and Coimbatore has surfaced on social media in which Bharat Mata is shown derogatorily.

In these images shown in this tweet, the derogatory posters portraying the Manipur violence victim as Bharat Mata (Mother India) with the two men who harmed her, one of them is shown wearing a saffron-coloured mask on his face. The caricature of the victim with her perpetrators was also shared by a writer/filmmaker from Tamil Nadu, Rajumurugan who is known for films like Joker and the rabid anti-Hindu film Gypsy in which he would’ve peddled canards and propaganda against the ruling BJP.

The same image was used in the protest rally of the MMK.

Jawahirulla in a video byte had claimed that as soon as the digital banners were placed in Dindigul, the district office bearers of Manithaneya Makkal Katchi in Dindigul immediately sprung into action. He claimed that all the digital banners were removed even before the demonstration took place.

However, from the above picture it is visible that the protest meeting in Coimbatore happened with the derogatory picture of Bharat Mata in the backdrop.

“As president of the party, I had reprimanded the fellows and members who were responsible for it. And we had taken disciplinary action against them. The Batlagundu police has also registered a case against them.”, Jawahirullah said adding that MMK never indulged in hurting the sentiments of fellow Hindu brethren either by words, actions or comments contrary to the posters put up.

“If this has hurt he sentiments of our brothers and sisters I had publicly apologized for the act of some of our partymen in Batlagundu.”, he said.

It is to be noted that Jawahirullah has not apologized for the vulgar drawing of Bharat Mata.
