“This is Dravidian Soil”: ADMK Leader Dares BJP to Make Nirmala Sitharaman and Jaishankar Contest From TN; Netizens Hint at ADMK’s Sly Attack On Brahmins, Similar to DMK

The AIADMK, formerly aligned with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), participated in the 2019 Lok Sabha and 2021 Assembly elections with BJP support until it terminated its association with the NDA in September 2023. Since the passing of the late Chief Minister J Jayalalitha, the AIADMK has grappled with internal conflicts over party leadership, hindering its ability to engage in active criticism of the ruling DMK. This vacuum has been strategically exploited by the TN BJP, leading to a significant surge in popularity and recognition as a formidable opposition party among the people of Tamil Nadu.

Following the recent severance of ties, and with the Lok Sabha election looming, both the AIADMK and DMK have started to voice criticism against the BJP. This dissatisfaction has become apparent as their ministers express displeasure during public gatherings. In the midst of this rift, K P Munusamy, the deputy general secretary of AIADMK and the incumbent member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly representing the Krishnagiri Constituency, has recently joined the criticism.

During a public meeting organized by AIADMK Krishnagiri on the sidelines of the birth anniversary of AIADMK leader and former Chief Minister late J Jayalalithaa, K P Munusamy openly expressed criticism and animosity towards the BJP. This development underscores the growing discord between the AIADMK and the BJP, marking a shift in their once-cooperative relationship.

K P Munusamy raised concerns about the BJP’s decision to prevent Union Minister L Murugan from participating in the Lok Sabha elections. Munusamy argued that the party is well aware that if Murugan were to contest, he might not secure a victory. Contrary to his belief, in the 2021 state legislative election, when Union Minister L Murugan contested in the Dharapuram constituency, he experienced a narrow defeat with just a 1393-vote margin. This result demonstrated significant support from the constituents.

Why did you make L Murugan a Rajya Sabha MP? You can make him contest in an election, right? Why didn’t you do it? You can’t win if you contest. It seems you know that, then why are you deceiving the people?

He advocated for the BJP to nominate S Jaishankar, the Union Minister of External Affairs, and Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister, as candidates from Tamil Nadu in the Lok Sabha elections, acknowledging the party’s awareness of the challenging electoral landscape in the state.

K P Munusamy said “I am asking on this stage, I am questioning Annamalai, I am questioning the Prime Minister of India, if you say that you have influence, there are two Union Ministers, one of those two Union Ministers is from Tamil Nadu, other born and brought up in Tamil Nadu, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and External Affairs Minister Jaishankar – make them contest from any constituency in Tamil Nadu. If the Bharatiya Janata Party dares, has the guts, hopes that the people of Tamil Nadu will vote for them, then make these two, Finance Minister and External Affairs Ministry contest in any constituency in Tamil Nadu. Then you will know, only then will you know how the people of Tamil Nadu will teach you a lesson.”

In response to allegations made by Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai, claiming that the state of Tamil Nadu has deteriorated under the influence of the two Dravidian parties AIADMK and DMK, Munusamy asserted that Tamil Nadu has excelled in education, health, and water management. Without careful consideration, K P Munusamy initially offered support to DMK and commended it, but subsequently acknowledged and attributed the accomplishment to his party, ADMK.

This is Dravidian soil.. I ask Annamalai who says we have degraded it. Today Tamil Nadu is the premier state in all fields. Take the health department, take the public welfare department, Tamil Nadu is number one, take education, Tamil Nadu is the premier state, water management, Tamil Nadu is the premier state, farmer produce, Tamil Nadu is the premier state.”

Your government is in 17 states, Bharatiya Janata Party is functioning in 17 states, central government gives an award, under ADMK rule, many awards came only under ADMK rule, why BJP, ruling in the other states could not get it, don’t you know that?

Munusamy concluded by commending the people for their role in not allowing any national parties in the state. He emphasized that this approach by Dravidian parties has effectively safeguarded the interests of the state for the past 50 years.

It is noteworthy that KP Munusamy had previously taken the same position of not criticizing the ruling DMK. When reporters asked him about the DMK’s one-year term, he immediately refused to comment, saying he would save that for another day. The DMK members who were present with him at the time thanked him for his refusal to comment.

Netizens hinted at the sly criticism of Brahmins.

“Notorious Criminal & International Drug Lord”: DMK’s Former NRI Wing Functionary Was Earlier Caught And His Passport Impounded For Smuggling Drugs, Annamalai Exposes

Images circulating on social media indicate that Jaffar Sadiq, an international drug peddler and DMK’s former NRI wing functionary, has formed a notable association with the DMK’s first family. The plot has now thickened as Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai has recently brought forth additional evidence that Jaffar Sadiq was previously under legal scrutiny for attempted drug smuggling prompting the question of whether the DMK was cognizant of these accusations against him.

On 3 March 2024, the BJP leader posted on his social media about a drug case in which he was charged.

He said, “DMK functionary Jaffar Sadiq is a notorious criminal and an international drug lord is a fact known to everyone now. In 2019, Jaffar Sadiq, his brother Mohammed Salim & few others were caught under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act) for smuggling 38.687 Kg of Ketamine to Malaysia. The name Zuko Overseas appears in this case and is the same company started by Jaffar Sadiq & a celebrity in 2021. Jaffar Sadiq made TN their abode after DMK came to power in May 2021 & colluded with leaders in DMK to expand their empire. DMK & others denying any knowledge of Jaffar’s arrest in 2013 for drug trafficking & escaping arrest in 2019 for drug trafficking should be gently reminded that the people of the state aren’t like DMK Dimwits. Thiru @mkstalin, we demand answers.

Moreover, Annamalai has included the document of the Bombay High Court as additional support for his allegations. The case is regarding the Intelligence Officer petitioning the court not to grant passport to the drug-peddler Jaffer Sadiq. The summary of the case is outlined below.

The case involves a consignment of Ketamine intercepted on 30 October 2018, with Sadiq and others implicated in illicit trafficking.

In the Bombay High Court’s Criminal Appellate Jurisdiction, P.V.N. Suresh Babu, an Intelligence Officer from the Special Intelligence Investigation Branch (SIIB) in Mumbai challenges the order issued by the Special Judge, NDPS, Sessions Court, Greater Bombay. The primary subject is Jaffer Sadiq, who sought the return of his passport for international travel spanning from June 20 to June 30, 2022. The Special Judge approved the application, granting Sadiq permission and specifying conditions such as submitting a travel itinerary, place of stay, and relevant documents.

The Intelligence Officer contends that Jaffer Sadiq is the central figure in orchestrating unlawful activities, particularly in the illegal export of Ketamine. Sadiq, accused of playing a vital role in smuggling 38.687 kg of Ketamine to Malaysia, had been in hiding for over a year before seeking anticipatory bail. The officer argues that Sadiq’s involvement in serious offenses, unexplained wealth, and past orders under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators Act raise concerns about the misuse of the passport.

The Intelligence Officer highlights Sadiq’s connection with Cube Impex and Hitech Traders, firms allegedly created for illegal drug exports. The investigation reveals Sadiq’s involvement in forming fake identities and managing an illicit drug business in collaboration with Mohamed Saleem (the brother of Jaffer Sadiq). The officer expresses apprehension that allowing Sadiq to travel may lead to his fleeing the country.

The court order also made mention of Mohamed Saleem, the brother of Jaffer Sadiq, who played a role in overseeing the illicit drug trade alongside Jaffer Sadiq and Abdul Raheem Jinnah. The latter two individuals were pivotal in establishing the Cube Impex company for the purpose of illegal exports.

The case originated from the interception of a Ketamine consignment in October 2018, implicating Sadiq and others in illicit trafficking. The Special Judge had granted anticipatory bail to Sadiq with certain conditions, including surrendering his passport. The Intelligence Officer challenges this decision, emphasizing Sadiq’s alleged role as the mastermind and the ongoing investigation’s incriminating evidence..

In conclusion, the High Court, on 22 June 2022, allows the Intelligence Officer’s application, setting aside the Special Judge’s order, and emphasizes the need to reconsider the permission granted to Sadiq for overseas travel based on the factual aspects of the case.

Since its inception, the Tamil Nadu BJP has played a pivotal role in the state by raising multiple corruption allegations against sitting MLAs and ministers. Presently, the party is actively addressing the issue of drug smuggling in Tamil Nadu. However, the current DMK government has chosen to remain silent on this matter.

Neelakanta Brahmachari: The Revolutionary Rishi Who Lit The Spark Of Swarajya In The Tamil Land

Neelakanta Brahmachari was a multi-layered personality who personified the famous George Bernard Shaw’s quote with a slight twist:

“If at age 20 you are not a Communist, then you have no heart. If at age 30 you are not a Capitalist, then you have no brains.”

Just when he hit his 20s, he translated and published the Communist Manifesto in Tamil in 1911. This was well before the Russians decided on a revolution against the Tsar1. In his 30s, he practiced a capitalism of a different type. His capital was Sanatana Dharma – he practiced a Vedanta capitalism.

Neelakantan was born in Erukkur near Sirkali in the Mayiladuthurai district of Tamilnadu to Smt. Subbuthai on December 4, 1889. His father, Sri. Sivaramakrishna Ganapatigal was a Samaveda scholar. The eldest in a family of eight children. Although the family wasn’t well off, Neelakantan grew up according to the Vedic maxim – Speak the truth, Abide by the Dharma, Never be complacent/ idle in your studies2.

While the basics he learnt in Erukkur were helpful throughout his life, an interesting episode illustrates his integrity. There was a time when his family was going through severe financial stress. So much so that they had to sell their ancestral property in Erukkur and move to Mayavaram. His father was to take employment in a Veda Patashala there. His father sent Neelakantan a message to pitch in and help them monetarily. This was also when Neelakantan handled a lot of public money collected for the cause he was fighting for, Swarajya of Bharata. Neelakantan did the unexpected, he completely cut off his ties and all communication channels with his family and let things pass.

Neelakantan had finished his ninth standard in Sirkali Sabhanayakar Hindu Higher Secondary School when the monetary situation in the family became apparent. He had to quit school and take employment as a lower-level clerk at Triplicane Urban Co-operative Society (TUCS) in the Madras of those days. He was settling down in his job at TUCS, Triplicane when Bipin Chandra Pal of the Lal–Bal–Pal triumvirate visited Madras for a series of lectures. He was there on the invitation of a group including Mahakavi Bharatiyar. Luckily for Neelakantan, the venue of the lectures was the Marina Beach which was only a stone’s throw from Triplicane. Mesmerised by Bipin Chandra Pal’s oratory, the fire of Swarajya started burning bright in his heart. The idea of revolution took over his mind. He resigned from his job at TUCS and took employment in India, the weekly Mahakavi Bharathiyar was running then.

It was not long before India was closed down by the British authorities for publishing seditious content. There was a rumour that Bharatiyar, the publisher, might get arrested soon. His well-wishers pressured him to move away to the French-administered town of Pondicherry to avoid arrest. Neelakantan followed Bharatiyar to Pondicherry, which was the safe haven for many revolutionaries wanted by the authorities from the British-administered Bharata. Neelakantan became the editor of a magazine published from there called Sooryodayam (Sunrise).

This was also when Neelakanta Brahmachari became the wandering Pracharak of Swarajya thought. His magnetic personality, amazing clarity of thought and speech that hit its target every time, like Arjuna’s arrows, made him create an army of followers for the cause of Bharata Mata. The Bharatha Mata Sangam he created in Tenkasi, Tuticorin etc. gave birth to some of the most famous sons of Bharata Mata like Veera Vanchinathan, Krishnapuram Sankarakrishnan, Madathukkadai Chidambaram Pillai and Ottapidaram Madasami Pillai. He operated under many aliases like Bharadwajan, Govinda Narayan Dube, Govind Narayan, Swami Brahmachari and Neelakanta Dutta. Interestingly, he also had a French alias, Le Fraile, when he wrote for the Vedanta Kesari magazine in Mylapore, Chennai.

An episode from this time illustrates the kind of revolutionary Neelakanta Brahmachari was. In Cuddalore, New Town, there was a very affluent lawyer, Sri. Chakravarthi Ayyangar. He was also a sympathizer and a subtle patron of Swadeshi activities. Neelakantan once had a very heated argument with him about armed revolution. In a state of near trance, Neelakantan loudly declared that the day when we will question the British openly for their oppression of Bharata Mata is not too far. And he added that on that day, they would answer our questions with their blood. Slightly shaken, Ayyangar proceeded to ask Neelakantan when that day would dawn. Neelakantan with a violent thump of the table in front of him declared loudly that it would happen within ten years by the blessing of Bharata Mata.

On March 12, 1908, Swadeshi leaders V O Chidambaram Pillai and Subramanya Sivam were arrested by the Collector of Tirunelveli, Winch and sent to the Palayamkottai prison. This act of Collector Winch shook the conscience of the right-minded people in Bharata. The Bharata Mata Sangham under Neelakanta Brahmachari swore to take revenge for this act by the British, especially Winch. But then, Winch moved and Robert Ashe took his place as the collector of Tirunelveli. It turned out that Ashe was a worse tyrant than Winch.

Neelakanta Brahmachari’s protégé, Vanchinathan shot Robert Ashe in Maniyachi Railway Station near Tirunelveli when he was enroute Kodaikanal for a vacation and also committed suicide to prevent capture. The case that followed was famously called the Tirunelveli Conspiracy Case and Neelatantan was added as the prime accused (A1). Neelakanta Brahmachari was captured from a hotel in Calcutta and brought back to Tamilnadu to face the law. He was charged under Section 121A for conspiring to commit certain offences against the government and the British Crown. 280 prosecution witnesses took stand while the accused produced 200 witnesses from their side. Neelakantan was sentenced to seven years of rigorous imprisonment and lodged in the Bellary jail.

He escaped in a daring jailbreak only to be arrested at the nearby Dharmavaram railway station. The trial this time resulted in the cancellation of all good conduct credit he had earned during the two previous years of incarceration plus an addition of six months to the overall sentence, making it seven and a half months. The seven and a half years were spent in seven different jails – Bellary, Madras, Palayamkottai, Kannur, Coimbatore, Rajamahendrapuram and Vishakapatnam. He was finally released after serving seven and a half years in August 1919.

Back in Madras, Neelakantan resumed his Swadeshi activities. But it turned out to be the darkest days of his life, days he spent in abject poverty and days and nights of hunger. He has recorded in his memoirs that there were times when he continuously went without food for four or more days. There were also nights when he begged for food, unable to withstand hunger. One of those streaks without food led him to his Guru, Mahakavi Bharatiyar, who was then living in Triplicane. Embarrassed yet overcome by severe hunger, Neelakantan is supposed to have asked for four Annas to have his first meal in four days. The Mahakavi became so angry that he immediately uttered one of his most famous poems, “Let us destroy this world if even one person goes without food.”3 and of course fed his disciple well.  Neelakanta Brahmachari’s was one of the shoulders that bore the weight of the Mahakavi as one of the four pallbearers when he passed away.

Later, Neelakantan became disillusioned with the worldly Loukika life and decided to become a wandering mendicant. He traversed across Bharata to finally take the Sanyasa Patta of Sadguru Omkar and settled in an Ashram at the foot of Nandi Hills near Bangalore. He had many disciples – famous people and commoners from across Bharat who flocked to his Ashram in Nandi Hills. The Yagna he performed during Shivaratri and Durgashtami were so famous across Bharata that people came in droves to receive the Vibooti and Kumkuma Prasada which were said to have medicinal effect. Sadguru Omkar wrote a series on Sanatana Dharma for the Organiser magazine in 1954, which was widely popular among the magazine’s audience.

The great Yati, Sadguru Omkar who served Bharata Mata and Sanatana Dharma attained Mukti and went into Samadhi on March 4, 1978.

Today, on the day of his Mukti, let us remember his great service to Bharata and Dharma.

BJP’s SG Suryah Fact-Checks DMK IT Wing Over Rising Drug Menace In Tamil Nadu

After DMK’s former NRI wing office bearer Jaffer Sadiq was found to be the kingpin of a massive drug racket, there has been a state-wide crackdown on drugs by the Central agencies. A raid conducted at the Madurai railway station led to successful seizure 30 kg of methamphetamine from Pilliman Prakash.

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence conducted a well-coordinated operation resulting in the confiscation of a combined 36 kg of the drug. This included a seizure of the substance from a rail passenger at Madurai railway station and an additional six kg recovered from the Kodungaiyur dump yard in Chennai, as reported by the central agency. Authorities seized methamphetamine with a street value of ₹180 crore, intended for transportation to Sri Lanka.

A total of 36 kg of the drug was seized by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence – from the rail passenger at the Madurai railway station, and another six kg from the Kodungaiyur dump yard in Chennai – in a meticulously planned operation, the central agency said.

Many on social media expressed concerns of a growing and casual prevalence of drug availability in different parts of Tamil Nadu. Zoho Founder Sridhar Vembu had posted on X that synthetic drugs have found their way in the interior villages of Tenkasi with many youngsters becoming addicts.

Apart from the growing concern over drug menace in Tamil Nadu, the DMK found itself on the backfoot as Udhayanidhi Stalin had himself met the drug racket kingpin Jaffer Sadiq, and so the party’s IT Wing (Wing 2.0) had tried to point fingers at the drug situation in other states.

In light of this, a dispute unfolded between the Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary, Dr. SG Suryah, and the DMK IT Wing, amid the widespread assertion and critique from various political entities and online communities that Tamil Nadu is

The DMK IT wing shared information referencing a report by Puthiya Thalaimurai news channel, which in turn drew its data from the Ministry of Home Affairs’ response to the Rajya Sabha on 13 December 2023. According to the news card, the quantities of opium-based drugs seized under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act from 2020 to 2022 were as follows: 219,287.62 kgs in 2020, 247,639.963 kgs in 2021, and 321,121.384 kgs in 2022. Rajasthan claimed the top spot, followed by Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Manipur, Gujarat, Haryana, Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, and Tamil Nadu securing the 20th position in the list.

Swiftly countering the narrative presented by the DMK IT wing, SG Suyah, the state secretary, challenged the assertions and inquired, “Each state has to submit the number of arrest under the NDPS Act to the NCB Bureau every month. According to this account:

2018 – 4594
2019 – 5631
2020 – 7198
2021 – 9632
2022 – 588
2023 – 163 cases reported.

Why hasn’t Tamil Nadu pursued legal action under the NDPS Act and reported it to the NCB Bureau, allowing drug offenders to go unchecked without arrests?

Is Chief Minister @mkstalin creating a false image about Tamil Nadu for political survival by saving the drug offenders?”

Critics suggest that the most drug-affected states like Punjab and north-east states have significant border connections with Pakistan and Myanmar respectively. Manipur is particularly vulnerable due to loosely packed borders and its location in the golden quadrilateral of drug trafficking. Other regions face similar issues, either sharing borders with enemy countries linked to terrorism or being affected by Naxal activities. State governments, in collaboration with the Indian armed forces, regularly conduct operations to counteract these challenges, responding swiftly to solid intelligence.

For instance, Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh of Manipur, in office since 2017, has been dedicated to tackling drug trafficking in the state, resulting in notable drug seizures from 2018 to 2023.

Some key instances include:
– June 2018: Intercepting drugs valued at ₹40 crores at the residence of the ADC chairman.
– June 2019: Uncovering a heroin manufacturing lab during a raid, leading to the recovery of drugs worth ₹100 crores.
– August 2019: Dismantling an illegal drug manufacturing facility, seizing 184.644 kg of brown sugar valued at ₹166 crores.
– November 2019: Seizing contraband items valued at over ₹28 lakhs.

Significant drug busts continued in subsequent years:
– February 2020: Seizing drugs valued at ₹120 crores.
– November 2020: Intercepting around 72 kg of brown sugar.
– December 2020: Coordinated operation resulting in raids at two locations in Moreh, seizing narcotics and contraband items valued at over ₹165 crores.

The years 2021 and 2022 witnessed a series of substantial drug seizures involving party drugs, brown sugar, heroin, and other substances, with estimated values ranging from crores to hundreds of crores of rupees.

Under Biren Singh’s administration, there was a strong emphasis on the “War on Drugs” in 2022, resulting in numerous arrests and drug seizures totaling ₹1,228 crores.

In 2023, anti-drug efforts persisted with multiple arrests, significant heroin seizures, and operations conducted by Assam Rifles and the Manipur Police.

Contrastingly, states like Tamil Nadu, which do not face direct threats from cross border smuggling or Naxal-affected regions, are gaining attention with high prevalence of synthetic drugs.

‘Savukku’ Shankar’s Explosive Report Reveals DMK’s Former NRI Wing Organiser Meth Supply Chain Linked to Loyola College

In a bombshell exposé by political commentator Savukku Shankar, shocking revelations have emerged linking former DMK NRI wing organiser Jaffar Sadiq to a methamphetamine supply chain, with connections to Loyola College. The investigation has unearthed a web of illicit activities, including Sadiq’s alleged operation of a briyani chain as a front for his criminal enterprises.

In his online webpage savukkuonline.com he wrote,

What is shocking is that, Jaffar Sadiq has been controlling the meth supply in Chennai too. He had been running a chain of briyani outlets named “Saleem Bhai Briyani”. This chain had its branches in Valasaravakkam, Moolakadai and Nungambakkam. All these branches have closed down two months ago for reasons that are not clear. The Nungambakkam outlet of Saleem Bhai Briyani which was doing mediocre business was supplying drugs mainly to students from Loyola College.

Jaffar Sadiq, once a prominent figure in DMK circles, had been clandestinely controlling the distribution of methamphetamine in Chennai. In a startling twist, it has come to light that Sadiq’s nefarious operations extended beyond the drug trade to include a network of briyani outlets operating under the guise of legitimate businesses.

Under the banner of “Saleem Bhai Briyani,” Sadiq’s chain of outlets spanned several neighborhoods in Chennai, including Valasaravakkam, Moolakadai, and Nungambakkam. However, the abrupt closure of all branches two months ago raised suspicions, leaving residents puzzled about the sudden disappearance of these eateries.

Of particular concern is the Nungambakkam branch of Saleem Bhai Briyani, which, despite its mediocre business performance, is alleged to have served as a hub for drug distribution, primarily targeting students from Loyola College. This revelation has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the insidious tactics employed by Sadiq to further his criminal agenda.

The implications of Sadiq’s activities are far-reaching, raising questions about the extent of his influence and the potential nexus between his criminal enterprises and his previous political affiliations. With calls for a thorough investigation growing louder, authorities are under increasing pressure to unravel the full extent of Sadiq’s operations and hold those responsible to account.

Savukku Shankar Alleges Discrepancies in Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Degree Acquisition from Loyola College

The unfolding scandal surrounding Loyola College took another intriguing turn as political commentator Savukku Shankar alleges discrepancies in the degree acquisition process of prominent political figure Udhayanidhi Stalin. In his recent Arasiyal Arattai Episode 116, Shankar delved into these claims, hinting at further revelations yet to come.

Udhayanidhi Stalin, a prominent figure in Tamil Nadu politics, obtained a degree in Commerce from Loyola College. However, according to Shankar’s assertions, there are questions surrounding the legitimacy of Stalin’s academic credentials. In the Arasiyal Arattai episode, Shankar provided initial insights into these discrepancies, promising to disclose additional details at a more opportune moment.

The episode, which has garnered significant attention since its release, has sparked widespread speculation and raised concerns about potential malpractices within the educational system. With Udhayanidhi Stalin’s political stature adding weight to the allegations, there is growing anticipation for further clarification and transparency regarding the circumstances of his degree acquisition.

As Shankar prepares to unveil additional information in due course, the spotlight on Loyola College intensifies, with calls for accountability and integrity echoing throughout the community. The outcome of Shankar’s investigation and its implications for both the educational institution and the political landscape remain eagerly awaited, underscoring the importance of transparency and adherence to ethical standards in academia and governance alike.

Misappropriation Of UGC Funds

The Commune had earlier published an extensive report by Abhinav Vinayak, a freelance investigative journalist, on the misappropriation of UGC funds.

Abhinav, who interviewed Rev Fr. Albert Muthumalai, a former two-time principal of Loyola College, quoted him as saying, “Such a great institution meant to educate students, with high ethics and moral values has become a den of unquestionable corruption.”

In a recent development, Global clergy abuse watchdog Ending Clergy Abuse (ECA) shot a letter to UGC-India to flag an unfortunate development where the primary accused individual allegedly involved in the misappropriation of funds, has officially fled the country and is currently residing in Switzerland. This development raises serious concerns about Loyola College, Chennai’s accountability and exhibits a pattern where individuals accused of grave misconduct evade legal consequences by escaping justice.

Rahul Gandhi’s “Lecture” At Jesus College, London Was A Paid Event Of Congress; Reports Confirm

On 21 February 2024, Jairam Ramesh, a senior Congress leader, declared a temporary suspension of Rahul Gandhi’s ambitious “Bharat Nyay Jodo Yatra” as he embarked on a visit to the United Kingdom. Ramesh clarified that the University of Cambridge had extended an invitation to Rahul Gandhi, who would be delivering two lectures at the prestigious academic institution.

Congress general secretary for communication Jairam Ramesh posted on his official X handle that, “February 26th to March 1st will be break days to enable Rahul Gandhi to fulfil his long-standing commitment to deliver two special lectures at his alma mater Cambridge University (UK) on February 27th and February 28th and also to enable him to attend other important meetings in New Delhi,”

Later on subsequent days entrepreneur Venkata “Serish” Gandikota shared a photo capturing Rahul Gandhi strolling alongside Sam Pitroda, the Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress, and journalist Shruti Kapila. In his post, Gandikota remarked on the unusual sight of Rahul Gandhi and Sam Pitroda walking casually in Cambridge without the usual presence of security personnel.

Later with substantiated claims from state Congress units and ardent Congress supporters proudly promoted Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Cambridge University, likening it to the arrival of a new professor in the town.

However, in a statement exclusively given to OpIndia, Jesus College has officially stated that there was no official invitation extended to Rahul Gandhi by Cambridge University for any participatory event. This disclosure arises amid speculations about the nature of Rahul Gandhi’s involvement in the Cambridge University Lectures.

The spokesperson from Jesus College, University of Cambridge, has clarified that Rahul Gandhi’s participation was arranged externally through a commercial booking, and the College had no involvement in its planning or funding. This statement stands as concrete evidence refuting any assertions of an official invitation, providing clarity on the actual nature of the hosted event.

The same was also confirmed by another news outlet The Pamphlet and a social media handle The Hawk Eye.

The Mysterious UK Visit Busted

The enigma shrouding Rahul Gandhi’s recent visit to the UK is not unfamiliar, as he has a history of making cryptic journeys to foreign nations, often strategically timed with the Congress party’s needs. It’s unsurprising that he temporarily diverted from his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ to impart ‘special lectures’ at the University of Cambridge. However, the assertion of being ‘invited’ by the prestigious institution raises eyebrows. The University’s last tweet mentioning Rahul Gandhi dates back to May 2022, and the Judge School of Business posted about an event featuring him in February 2023.

Nevertheless, on this occasion, there were no recent mentions or updates about Rahul Gandhi on the University of Cambridge’s X  handle or its affiliated colleges. OpIndia managed to uncover discussions involving other guests but found no trace of the Congress scion Rahul Gandhi.

OpIndia conducted a thorough analysis of images shared by Congress loyalists on social media, raising suspicions about Rahul Gandhi’s purported lecture at the University of Cambridge.

By close examination OpIndia identified the location as the Jesus College of the University of Cambridge, specifically in the Elena Hall (conference room) and verified through a 360-degree tour available on the college’s website.

Despite expectations of official posts on the X handle of Jesus College regarding Rahul Gandhi’s visit, the search with the keyword ‘Rahul Gandhi’ yielded ‘no results.’ Further investigation revealed that Jesus College administration permits commercial activities, including presentations, meetings, events, and group dining, in its conference halls and grounds. This suggests that booking various venues with en-suite accommodation at the Jesus College is open to anyone, implying the possibility of the event being a commercially arranged activity rather than an official invitation.

In the midst of the growing mystery surrounding Rahul Gandhi’s recent covert foreign visit, the Indian Overseas Congress took the lead in sharing outdated images, aiming to deceive the public by suggesting that the Congress MP received a lavish welcome at the University of Cambridge. The move was a subtle attempt to create the impression that Rahul Gandhi had recently been invited by the University.

To substantiate these questionable assertions, the X handle of the Indian Overseas Congress shared images from May 2022, featuring Rahul Gandhi, the Congress-friendly ‘journalist’ Shruti Kapila, and Sam Pitroda. Additionally, they attached an image with the caption ‘India at 75,’ clearly indicating that the photograph was taken in 2022.

Upon deeper investigation, OpIndia debunked this initiative, uncovering the complete recording of the event held at the Corpus Christi College of the University of Cambridge on 22nd May 2022. This recording was found on the official YouTube channel of the Indian National Congress. As netizens exposed the misleading nature of the Indian Overseas Congress’s claims, the tweet was promptly deleted, with no accompanying apology or clarification.

OpIndia, after uncovering inconsistencies in Congress’s claims of Rahul Gandhi delivering ‘special lectures’ at the University of Cambridge, reached out to Jesus College for clarification. Questions about the booking details, event organizers, invitation, attendees, and expenses were posed. In response, Jesus College confirmed that the event at Elena Hall for Rahul Gandhi was a paid external booking, emphasizing that the college had no role in organizing or financing the event.

This revelation makes it evident that Rahul Gandhi was not invited by the University of Cambridge for a ‘special lecture,’ but instead participated in a paid event during a pause in his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.’

I.N.D.I. Ally DMK Leader RS Bharathi Mocks MGR; Glorifies DMK’s Separatist History; Says Only DMK Men Can Claim To Be Born To One Father

A recent gathering took place to commemorate the birthday of DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin in Salavakkam near Uthramerur, Kanchipuram district. The event, led by DMK union secretary Kumar and attended by Uttaramerur assembly member Sundar and Kanchipuram MP G. Selvam, featured DMK’s Organizing Secretary RS Bharati as a speaker.

During his address, Bharati made incendiary remarks against opposition party leaders, including former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MG Ramachandran (MGR) and Prime Minister Modi, while also making unsubstantiated claims.

When discussing MGR, he mocked the circumstances of his death, linking it to the AIADMK founder’s speech where he called for the banning of the DMK.

Prior to the Kanchipuram conference, MGR addressed a gathering in Trichy. During this speech, against the backdrop of SD Somasundaram leaving the party, the venue witnessed a sparse crowd. An agitated MGR expressed his intention to ban the DMK then. The following day, Karunanidhi spoke at Kanchipuram questioned who was that who wanted to ban the DMK (here Karunanidhi has used disrespectful terms to address MGR in singular). Unfortunately, this speech by MGR turned out to be his final public meeting address.

RS Bharathi said, The last speech was when he said that he would ban the DMK. His arms and legs were paralysed, he was admitted to Apollo, and remained speechless and gone. I want Modi to understand this and that is why I am reminding him of it.

In response to the recent criticism from PM Narendra Modi in his Thoothukudi speech, RS Bharathi said, “All those who said they will destroy the DMK have been destroyed themselves. If you have to understand history, Modi must realise that he is not greater than Pandit Nehru.”

Bharathi slipped the truth that Nehruvian Congress had also considered sidelining the DMK but later managed to get hold by contesting that even though DMK helped his daughter Indira Gandhi.

He said, Do you know what Nehru once remarked about the DMK? He said, ‘I’ll pack the DMK to whichever nation it wants’. However, it was DMK and Kalaignar that gave a helping hand to the same Nehru’s daughter when she found herself in a predicament.

Later, RS Bharathi took pride in the DMK advocating for a separate nation, leading to the creation of a distinct IPC act to impede such aspirations. He said, “You go to every town and poach ministers and buy MLAs, but in Tamil Nadu you can’t even touch the slippers of DMK’s last-mile cadres. Even if he dies, he will not change his party and survive. If someone asks Dravida Nadu as a separate nation, 7 years of imprisonment. Today’s politicians doesn’t know the fact. To the Indian Penal Code Section 153, they added a separate section 153 A, to give 7 years imprisonment. They changed the law exclusively for the DMK in 1962. Even with law, they could not destroy DMK. Can you destroy it by shouting?”

Later, he made misogynistic and sexist comments about the DMK using their unique symbol to contest elections, mocking other political parties. He said, There is no other party in India except DMK which contests under the same symbol from the day the party was started and stood in the elections till now. Be it 1957 or 1962, 1967 or 1971 – it was all under the rising sun symbol, we are competing under the rising sun symbol till 2021. Mr. Modi, does any other party in India can claim of such a thing? If people are angry in the village, they will say something like “I am born to one father”, and similarly in politcs, only DMK men can say that they’re born to one father. This man came and talked yesterday without knowing this pride.

In response to RS Bharati’s above claims, netizens promptly ridiculed him and debunked the lies by sharing an article containing data that contradicted the claim. The article highlighted that the DMK did not consistently align itself with the rising sun symbol; instead, it initially contested elections using the rooster symbol.

FIR Filed Against Polimer News Journalist Who Covered Narcotics Raids; TN BJP Head Annamalai Condemns

A series of events unfolded in Tamil Nadu related to the Narcotics Control Bureau’s search operation at various locations connected to Jaffar Sadiq. The focus was particularly on the Sahara Express courier office, reportedly owned by DMK’s West Chennai secretary, Chitrarasu. When this information reached Polimer News, a news reporter accompanied by cameraman Senthil Kumar, rushed to cover the story.

Upon their arrival, individuals affiliated with DMK allegedly confined the news reporter to a room and subjected him to severe physical assault. Subsequently, Senthil Kumar was hospitalized at Royapettah GH. The plot took an unexpected turn when Senthil Kumar filed a complaint against the DMK individuals who attacked him. Surprisingly, the police declined to register the case, and instead, a 55-year-old woman initiated legal proceedings against Senthil Kumar, accusing him of inappropriate conduct during the raid. This development left the journalist community in shock.

In response, several journalists expressed solidarity by staging a protest at the Chennai Commissioner’s office.

Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai strongly criticized the state police for seemingly favoring the ruling DMK government instead of ensuring justice. He condemned “Yesterday, the National Narcotics Control Commission raided the Sahara Courier Company, owned by DMK Chennai West District Secretary Chitarasu in relation to international drug trafficking, and the @polimernews journalist Mr. Senthil Kumar who went to collect news, was locked in a room and severely beaten by the DMK.”

After this, the police did not take any action on his complaint, have now made a false complaint against Mr. Senthil Kumar by a 55-year-old woman and lodged a First Information Report against him, is highly condemn-able. It is not only very unfortunate that the Tamil Nadu Police are acting on the DMK’s advice, but also against their work ethic. The police should act according to the law and not as a wing of the DMK. Immediately, the fake First Information Report registered against Mr. Senthil Kumar should be cancelled, and I insist that the DMK thugs who attacked Senthil Kumar should be immediately arrested.”

Following the outcry, the police eventually registered an FIR against DMK functionary Kalaichelvan, a close aide of DMK’s West Chennai secretary Chitrarasu, who was subsequently arrested for his alleged involvement in attacking Polimer TV Cameraperson Senthil Kumar.

Alleged Fact-Checker Zubair’s Claims On ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ Slogans Fall Flat; Forensic Analysis Proves Pro-Pak Slogans Were Chanted

A few days ago, social media was abuzz with allegations of the Karnataka Congress members chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans. This happened after the Congress candidate Syed Naseer Hussain’s Rajya Sabha victory in Karnataka was announced. A video of his supporters allegedly chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ was circulated on social media platforms.

Alleged fact-checker Mohammed Zubair immediately jumped into action to prove that Pakistan Zindabad slogans were not raised. He claimed that instead of Pakistan Zindabad, the supporters were chanting ‘Naseer Saab Zindabad’.

However, this has fallen flat. Forensic analysis of the footage reveals that Naseer’s supporters in the Karnataka Assembly did indeed chant pro-Pakistan slogans while celebrating his victory. The presence of these slogans was identified in both the audio and video components. The submitted report to the state government asserted that the footage remained unaltered as reported by India Today

On 28 February 2024, a huge controversy unfolded when this unidentified individual, now recognised as a trader from Byadagi, arrived at the Vidhana Soudha to commemorate the victory of Congress leader Syed Naseer Hussain in the Rajya Sabha election. On 29 February 2024, Karnataka police had already arrested Mohmad Shafi Naashipudi for the incident, as disclosed by Superintendent of Police Anshukumar, who identified the detained individual as Mohmad Shafiq Naashipudi.

Zubair blamed Kannada news channels for propagating ‘lies’. He wrote an entire thread buttressing the Congress that no such slogans were raised.

He even quoted a journalist who was allegedly present during the sloganeering that there were no Pakistan Zindabad slogans.

This time, Zubair was fact-checked and disproved by the forensic analysis and the arrest by Karnataka Police.

This is not the first time Zubair has buttressed the Congress establishment. He has always spoken in support of anti-India, anti-Hindu forces. Here are a few examples:

In December 2023, as Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam MP Dayanidhi Maran’s derogatory comments on Hindi speakers surfaced online once again, Dravidianists and alleged fact-checkers jumped into the scene with their explanations and justifications. Most prominent among those buttressing the DMK was the alleged fact-checker Mohammed Zubair of the propaganda outlet Alt News. His explanation for the video was that it was a 4-year-old video. He targeted ANI for their reportage, he wrote, “Hello @smitaprakash, Denounce Dayanidhi Maran’s Anti UP/Bihar speech in strongest terms, But your News Agency @ANI, @PTI_News and other News Channels getting video bites should at least mention that you/they are running his 4-year-old speech from June 2019. By not doing so, Your agency and other News Channels are proving that they are running a Propaganda set by the ruling Govt.”

His tweets buttressing Dayanidhi Maran were reposted by the DMK MP himself. In multiple tweets, Zubair kept repeating that the video was four years old but never condemned the hate speech of the DMK MP.

In October 2023, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman distributed credit assistance totaling ₹3,500 crore to beneficiaries in Coimbatore. The event was part of the Credit Outreach Program, aimed at providing financial support to various sectors of the economy, particularly those in aspirational districts. However, amid the program’s proceedings, an interruption occurred when an individual claimed that he had not received a loan, garnering media attention. In a remarkable display of transparency and democratic values, Nirmala Sitharaman invited the aggrieved individual onto the stage to address his concerns. Alleged fact-checker labelled the Union Finance Minster’s remarks as “arrogant.” He went silent when it was proved that the “aggrieved” person was a business owner and had been informed by the Bank of Baroda that he couldn’t secure a fresh loan of ₹40 lakhs due to an existing unpaid loan under his wife’s name. Despite this, Sathish persisted in his claims at the event.

In August 2023, when Rahul Gandhi’s “flying kiss” controversy broke, Zubair was hell-bent on proving that the flying kiss was not directed at Smriti Irani but the entire Parliament
