Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay made a brief visit to a private skin care clinic in Alwarpet, Chennai, on Tuesday, August 25, after attending Assembly proceedings and making key announcements under Rule 110.
Vijay left the State Secretariat in the afternoon and travelled to the private facility in Alwarpet. He reportedly spent a short time at the clinic before leaving for his residence.
The exact purpose of the visit remains unclear. There has been no official information on whether the Chief Minister underwent any treatment or medical examination, or whether the visit was related to any official work.
News of Vijay’s presence at the clinic quickly drew a crowd outside the premises. People who gathered in the area waved at the Chief Minister as he emerged from the facility.
As Vijay was getting into his car to leave, he noticed the crowd and briefly walked towards them. He shook hands with people gathered outside before departing.

Security arrangements were also strengthened around the clinic following the Chief Minister’s visit.
The visit came a day after Vijay announced several major decisions in the Tamil Nadu Assembly under Rule 110, including the scrapping of the proposed Parandur Greenfield International Airport, the provision of three free LPG cylinders a year, and the expansion of the Magalir Vettri Payanam scheme.
The Parandur airport decision in particular has triggered a political confrontation between the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) and the Opposition DMK.
Meanwhile, social media speculation linked the Chief Minister’s visit to actress Trisha, who is associated with the same upscale Alwarpet locality. However, there is no information establishing any connection between the actress and Vijay’s visit.
The Chief Minister left the clinic shortly after the brief interaction with the public.
