Andhra Pradesh: Christian propaganda telecasted in LED screens kept at Kanaka Durga Temple

In yet another case of Christian evangelism in Andhra Pradesh, Christian sermons were telecasted in the LED screens set up atop Godess Kanaka Durga in Vijayawada.

The Information and Public Relations Department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh had entrusted the live screening of Navaratri celebrations to a local TV channel.

Soon after the relay of celebrations were over, Christian sermons started appearing on the LED screens on October 7. This enraged the devotees who started pelting stones and damaged one of the LED screens set up near the road on Krishna riverbank.

Temple authorities have filed a complaint with police to inquire into the incident and make it clear whether the Christian propaganda was played intentionally or by mistake.

A case has been registered against the TV channel at One Town police station.
