A video of a video call between Ranchi student protesters and Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leader Abhijeet Dipke has been restricted on X in India, following controversy over claims that an earlier version shared by Dipke omitted a crucial part of the exchange.

The restricted video, which had been circulating widely on social media, reportedly showed the protesters urging Dipke to travel to Ranchi and join their demonstration in person. According to the video, the students repeatedly requested that he come to the protest site.
During the interaction, Dipke declined the invitation, stating that he was suffering from typhoid and was therefore unable to travel.

After the longer clip surfaced, several netizens alleged that Dipke’s original public posts had cropped out this portion of the conversation. The edited version reportedly omitted the exchange in which the protesters invited him to Ranchi and he declined, accusing the CJP leadership of engaging with the protest remotely rather than being present on the ground.

The longer version of the video has now been restricted for users in India on X.

The platform seems to have flagged the videos for ‘adult content as per the warning on the edited and longer videos. Upon using VPN, the videos are accessible so this indicates that the specific videos were hidden only in India.
