When Thol. Thirumavalan donned the hat of a Sanatana Saviour

The man who held a conference calling for rooting out Sanatana Dharma performed the 16th rites of his sister’s death the Sanatana way by performing homam and chanting of hymns.

These were the words of Chidambaram MP Thol. Thirumavalavan who conducted the ant-Sanatana conference under the banner ‘Desam Kaapom’ held in Trichy in 2019

“All these leaders have congregated here to stop the Santana forces from coming to power. Only if Sanatana is abolished brotherhood will prevail.”

Also in this conference were other leaders like DMK chief MK Stalin, Dravida Kazhagam chief K. Veeramani, MDMK General Secretary Vaiko, CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury, Puducherry Chief Minister Narayanasamy, Former Union Minsiter Kodikunil Suresh, General Secretary of Communist Party of India Sudhakar Reddy, among others.

This anti-Sanatana rally was primarily conducted for vote bank politics in which Thirumavalavan positioned himself as the voice of the Dalits.

But today we have Thol. Thirumavalavan performing the 16th day rituals for his sister, the Santana way. “Why not abolish Sanatana Dharma now? When it comes to personal life you follow Santana Dharma, but you speak ill of it to do minority appeasement for vote bank”, political commentators and opponents ask.

Thol. Thirumvalavan is not the only person to show these double standards. The entire Dravidian cabals in Tamil Nadu do not follow what they preach. Their family members visit temples and perform rituals while the leaders placate the minorities by spewing hatred against Hinduism.

It is time people realize the shallowness of these parties.
