VCK Goon Arrested For Abusing Police To File Fake PCR Act, Abuses Police Again After Out On Bail

Viduthalai Chirutaigal Katchi Chief Thirumavalvan has suspended the party’s Thiruvannamalai North District Secretary Pagalavan alias Bhaskaran for disparaging sloganeering against the police and attempting to besiege the Arani Police station.

Maargabandhu, who worked as a manager in the panchayat union office 15 years ago, has encroached on the government-owned land in front of the Arani panchayat union office near the Arani Kottai ground in Tiruvannamalai district and built a commercial complex and rented it out. After the demise of Maargabandhu, his wife Vaijayanthi Maala and son Shyaam Sundar have been collecting rent from those shops.

There are three shops in that building, including the VCK party office and a shop owned by a man named Chinnakannu. Chinnakannu, who had not been using the shop recently, had kept it closed. However, VCK party members cut a hole in his wall and entered Chinnakannu’s shop, emptying it. Chinnakannu has filed a complaint with the Arani police station against VCK district secretary Bhaskaran, Union secretary Ramesh, VCK cadre Stephan from Mullipattu, and six others in this regard.

Following this, VCK Bhaskaran filed a complaint against Chinnakannu and urged SI Krishnamurthy to register the complaint under the Prevention of Atrocities Against SC/ST Act. When Sub-Inspector Krishnamoorthy refused to file a PCR act, VCK Bhaskaran verbally abused him using his caste name.

After a video of VCK Bhaskaran threatening a police officer went viral, Superintendent of Police Rajesh Khanna arrested him on the orders of Vellore range DIG Muthusamy.

A case has been filed against 22 people, including Bhaskaran and VCK Union Secretary Ramesh, on the basis of a complaint filed by Sub-Inspector Krishnamoorthy that they prevented a government employee from working at the Arani Town Police Station. Both arrested individuals were brought before Justice Karthikeyan in Arani Court and were remanded in Vellore Central Jail for 15 days.

In this situation, VCK district secretary Pagalavan alias Bhaskaran, who was released on bail after 15 days, began a procession on the road with fellow VCK goons from the Vellore jail. The procession passed through Arani Police Station, where SI Krishnamoorthy was working. While standing in front of the police station, the VCK goons yelled slogans such as ‘Echa Police’, ‘veri naai police’ (Rabid Dog police) and ‘Police Naaye Veli vaa’ (Police dog come out).

Several opposition leaders condemned the incident after this provocative video of VCK goons threatening police went viral. Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai has demanded that TN CM MK Stalin, who controls the police department, take action against the VCK goons in order to protect police morale.

Following public outrage, VCK Chief Thirumavalavan suspended Pagalavan, the Thiruvannamalai district secretary, for three months.
