Union Minister V Muraleedharan’s car attacked by TMC goons in West Bengal’s Midnapore

V Muraleedharan, the Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs was attacked by goons from Mamta Banerjee’s TMC while he was visiting West Midnapore in West Bengal. As a result, he had to cut short his trip and return.

He had posted about this on Twitter with the caption, “TMC goons attacked my convoy in West Midnapore, broken windows, attacked personal staff. Cutting short my trip. #BengalBurning @BJP4Bengal, @BJP4India, @narendramodi, @JPNadda, @AmitShah, @DilipGhoshBJP, @RahulSinhaBJP.”

He had also attached a video of his car being attacked by goons. The video shows men armed with wooden arms, violently charging at their car. They proceeded to break the glass at the back of the car, and the video shows planks of wood having landed at the back seat of the car. The car and its convoy proceed to leave the scene, as the video continues to show the goons following the car as it leaves.

As images and videos of the current state in West Bengal post the victory of Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress in the recent Assembly elections have gone viral on social media, this incident is yet another one in that series.
