Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Comments On Rajini Comes Back To Haunt Him, Gets a Taste Of His Own Medicine

Back in 2018 when violent anti-Sterlite protests rocked Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu, it was evident that anti-social elements had infiltrated the protests and instigated riots leading to loss of lives and public property.

Among the film fraternity, only Mr. Rajinikanth (who was back then a political aspirant) said that those who attacked the Thoothukudi Collector office and police were not ordinary protestors but anti-social elements who had infiltrated the protests.

Addressing reporters Rajinikanth had told “Those who attacked the Collector Office or public property were not ordinary people but ‘poisonous germs’ and ‘anti-social elements’ who had infiltrated. It is of their doing. Those protesting should be careful. In Tamil Nadu, these anti-social elements have been on the rise. That is why the people’s protest has turned violent. We need to crackdown on these anti-social elements. In that aspect, we should appreciate the late former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. She had dealt with these anti-social elements with an iron hand. This government (EPS government) should follow her and do the same.”

He re-emphasized the same and condemned the violence undertaken by anti-social elements under the garb of protestors in another press meet. He also said that Tamil Nadu would turn into a grave yard if there were protests for anything and everything.

However, DMK chief MK Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi Stalin had taken jibes at ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth for the latter’s remarks.

The now Chepauk-Tiruvallikeni MLA Udhayanidhi Stalin had also started a demeaning hashtag #நான்தான்பாரஜினிகாந்த் (I Am Rajinikanth) to troll the Superstar for his comments.

Cut to July 2022. Protestors hit the streets in Kallakurichi over the suicide of a girl belonging to a private school vandalizing the school’s properties.

The DMK which is in power today has blamed ‘anti-social elements’ for the riots. DMK Minister E.V. Velu alleged that anti-social elements, in the name of student groups.

“Our government under CM Stalin allows for democratic protests but this kind of riot is unacceptable. Rioters spread rumours on social media to mobilise people and create a bad name for the government.”, the DMK Minister said.

Communist Party of India (Marxist) Tamil Nadu leader K. Balakrishnan has said that the anti-social elements responsible for the riots should be identified and strict action should be taken against them.

The same DMK and Communists who had pounced on Rajinikanth for his anti-social element comment today have no qualms in using the same to defend their government.

DMK’s crown-prince Udhayanidhi Stalin who had mocked Rajini is missing in action today and was infact abroad when the whole Kallakurichi episode unfolded.

In light of this, he has now been getting a taste of his own medicine with the hashtag #நான்தான்பா_உதவாக்கரை_உதய் trending continuously for days.
