Temple Money Only For Temples TVK Govt Cancels HR&CE Commercial Projects Worth ₹245.85 Crore Announced Under DMK Regime

TVK Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) S. Ramesh, has invited members of the public to directly report allegations of corruption, bribery and irregularities in temples administered by the HR&CE Department.

In a post on X, Ramesh called upon devotees and the general public to submit complaints relating to irregularities in temple renovation works, illegal collection of money and bribery, particularly in matters concerning temple administration and employment.

“An important announcement to the general public! Please submit complaints regarding irregularities, illegal collection of money, and bribery, specifically concerning temple renovation works and employment, at temples across Tamil Nadu that are under the control of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. Kindly send these complaints, along with relevant details and supporting evidence, to the personal email address provided below. I wish to inform you that my office and I will personally take the necessary steps to address these complaints,” he wrote.

He requested that complaints, along with supporting documents and evidence, be sent to minister_hrce@tn.gov.in, assuring that both he and his office would personally examine the grievances and initiate appropriate action.

The announcement has been welcomed by temple activists, many of whom have for years alleged irregularities in the functioning of the HR&CE Department and sought greater accountability in temple administration.

Reacting to the announcement, temple activist T.R. Ramesh described it as a “fantastic initiative” and urged devotees with first-hand knowledge of violations of law and corruption within the department to come forward with credible complaints.

He appealed to devotees to ensure that every complaint submitted is backed by facts and evidence, stating, “When you make complaints, let there be clarity and basis of truth.”
