Tamil Nadu’s health department reports that the daily number of Corona cases has increased a little bit in 11 districts including Tenkasi, Ariyalur, Krishnagiri, Tanjore and Nilgiris than on Sunday.
Of these, only three districts , Tenkasi, Tanjore and Villupuram , reported daily increases for the third day in a row.
In the other districts of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Coimbatore, Erode and Salem districts, the daily impact was over 100.
A maximum of 164 people have been confirmed infected in Coimbatore and 127 in Erode, the health ministry said.
This unprecedented spike got the state health department to call upon the district administrations to immediately focus on the clusters or areas that are contributing to the new cases so as to curb community transmissions, from the new delta wave.
