Reports have come that the mom-son-daughter of the Gandhi family are set to resign from Congress.
A meeting of the Congress Working Committee is to be held tomorrow evening where a formal announcement will be made about the resignation.
The Congress party faced a shattering defeat in the recently concluded Assembly polls for five states.
The party managed to secure just 2 seats in Uttar Pradesh despite Priyanka Gandhi addressing around 200 rallies.
The party also failed to make its mark in the states of Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa and Punjab.
The party’s poor performance is posing a serious challenge to Gandhi family’s control over the party.
