“Sanatana Dharma Means Eternal Dharma, You Have A Bought-out Idea From Christian Missionaries”: BJP TN Head Annamalai Hits Back At Udhayanidhi For Reiterating Sanatana Dharma Should Be Eradicated

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son and DMK Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has landed in soup for his objectionable remarks about Sanatana Dharma aka Hinduism.

The DMK dynast had said that Sanatana Dharma should be eradicated like mosquitoes, dengue, flu, corona.

Speaking at the event, Udhayanidhi Stalin said “The title of this conference has been excellently coined. You’ve named it as ‘Abolish Sanatanam Conference’ and not ‘Oppose Sanatanam Conference’, so my best wishes to that.”

He further said “Mosquitoes, dengue, flu, malaria, corona – we should not oppose these things. They’ve to be eradicated completely. Same is the case with Santanam (Hinduism). Our first work should be to abolish/eradicate Sanatanam instead of opposing it. So, my appreciations to you all for giving an apt title to the meeting.”

These remarks coming from a sitting Minister of the DMK, which is a major partner of the I.N.D.I Alliance has set off a political storm with many lashing out at the DMK Minister for his hate speech.

BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai posted on his social media that DMK Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comments are a bought-out idea from Christian missionaries.

“Thiru @Udhaystalin, you, your father, or his or your idealogue have a bought-out idea from Christian missionaries & the idea of those missionaries was to cultivate dimwits like you to parrot their malicious ideology.”, Annamalai said lashing out at Udhayanidhi Stalin. 

“Tamil Nadu is a land of spiritualism. The best you can do is to hold a Mic in an event like this & rant out your frustration!”, he further added.

In his byte to the ANI, Annamalai said that the word Sanatana Dharma has been in existence even before Islam or Christianity came.

“The word ‘Sanatana Dharma’ was there even before the Christian religion or Islamic religion came or for that matter any other religion. ‘Sanatana Dharma’ means eternal dharma, timeless dharma. A dharma that will stand the test of time. That is the meaning of Santana Dharma. It has been there for a long long long time. Udhayanidhi in December 2022 he calls himself a Christian. Even before that it came.”, he said.

Annamalai further said “What Udhayanidhi spoke yesterday, every Indian, all 142 crore Indians should condemn this because the visceral hatred for a particular religion has come out yesterday.”

“Every year the Dravida Kazhagam and their like-minded people they keep organizing some or the other conference. Last year it was ‘Santana Opposing Conference’. This year it is ‘Sanatana Eradication Conference’. They’ve gone one level up to say eradication. And the speech that he gave. I saw his speech also. I don’t think he was speaking extempore [sic]. If somebody is speaking extempore [sic] looking at people then we can say probably the words got slipped up. He was reading from a prepared text. Which means, consciously the text was prepared. In a stage, he was reading it line by line. You can very clearly make out from his body language. Where he says like cholera, dengue, mosquito, like COVID, Sanatana should be eradicated. Eradcation of a particular culture, if I can equate some other word to it, it is called genocide. That is what Hitler did for Jews. And that is the level to which a sitting Minister of Tamil Nadu government speaks. So, not only Hindu religion, every 142 crore people of India should condemn it.”, Annamalai said.
