Rizwan offering Namaz surrounded by Hindus was my ‘favourite part’: Former Pakistani cricketer and coach Waqar Younis

After the Pakistan cricket team defeated Team India in their opening match in the ICC t20 World Cup, and Bazid Khan, an official commentator picked up by the International Cricket Council, said in Urdu, “kufr to toot gaya” (the infidel was destroyed), now former Pakistani fast bowler and captain Waqar Younis said, “Pakistani Player Doing Namaz Amid Hindus Was His ‘Favourite Part’ Of India-Pakistan Match,”.

Waqar was joined by former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar who was seen smiling when Waqar made this statement on ARY News channel that when Mohammad Rizwan read namaz on the ground amid Hindus, it was a great moment.

Rizwan had decided to offer namaz one of the five pillars of Islam during drinks break which can be a violation of code of conduct of the ICC as religion is always kept out of the game.

Former cricketer and now Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had once famously said in an interview that he always saw the game of cricket with the Indian team as “jihad” and the most important duty of a Muslim is to destroy Kufr.

During a TV interview, Shoaib Akhtar said he is not only against the Indian government but also of Ghazwa-e-Hind — the Islamic call for a faith-driven war and the complete Islamisation of the entire Indian sub-continent.
