Nithyananda launches Reserve Bank of Kailasa, currency ‘Kailashian Dollar’

Controversial godman Nithyananda who fled the country and has apparently founded his own nation ‘Kailasa’, has now come out with a currency, a reserve bank and an economic policy for the same. On the occasion of Vinayaga Chaturthi, the self-styled Godman took to social media to announce the launch of Reserve Bank of Kailasa and the currency ‘Kailashian Dollar’.

The Kailashian Dollar is supposedly made of gold. 1 Kailashian Dollar weighs 11.6638038 grams.

The denominations of the Kailashian Dollar issued by the ‘Reserve Bank of Kailasa’ are 1/4 Kailashian Dollar, 1/2 Kailashian Dollar, 1 Kailashian Dollar, 2 Kailashian Dollar, 3 Kailashian Dollar, 5 Kailashian Dollar, and 10 Kailashian Dollar.

In the statement issued in social media, it was stated that Reserve Bank of Kailasa has signed an MoU with ‘a country’ for hosting the bank. It claimed that the Reserve Bank of Kailasa is a legitimately incorporated body and that its currencies would be issued only in countries with which Kailasa has signed ‘diplomatic treaties’.

It also stated that Nithyananda is not legally part of or a representative or an agent of the Reserve Bank of Kailasa and or its affiliates.

The Governor and Directors of the Reserve Bank of Kailasa will be run by sanyasis who take the 5 vows (non-violence, truth, celibacy, minimalistic living, and non-stealing) in front of a Viaraja homa. These are the crown prince and princesses who are first class citizens of Kailasa who had joined gurukul as minors and had and taken sanyas after becoming major.

The Kailashian Dollar is said to be inspired from currencies and policies of the ‘ancient 56 Hindu nations which were Hindu nations in the past’.

The statement went on to claim that a team of monastic members had spent 2 years researching and studying hundreds of books, articles and research papers on Hindu Economic Policy.

It also stated that Kailasa does not claim that the ancient 56 nations are Hindu nations presently and neither does it make any territorial claims.

“Kailasa formally declares that the 56 ancient nations are the most favoured for trade and bilateral relations”, the statement said.

It goes on to say that Kailasa is like a ‘seed bank’ trying to keep alive Hinduism ‘in a remote corner of the world’.

The statement declared that Nithyananda and Kailasa are not against India but have been forced to withdraw due to ‘anti-Hindu’ and ‘anti-Indian’ elements and also due to continuous attempts at assassination of his character.

Nithyananda is a fugitive and accused of a number of crimes including rape. He is charged under Sections 376 (rape), 377 (unnatural sex), and 114 (criminal abetment), among sections of the Indian Penal Code. The Karnataka High Court had cancelled a bail granted to him in connection with a rape case dating back to 2010.

Interpol has issued a Blue Corner Notice (issued to collect additional information about a person’s identity, location or activities in relation to a crime) against him.
