Missionaries and Dravidian groups try to shut down Mission Kaali

Mission Kaali, a social media page that has been exposing Christian missionaries and their dubious activities has come under attack from proselytizing groups and its foot soldiers in order to disable the page from functioning.

Recently, the Facebook page of Mission Kaali Tamil had busted fake news peddled by one Jesus Network TV which claimed that a Jesus statue was found in Keezhadi and that all the people in the region were initially Christians who had converted to Hinduism later.

Mission Kaali exposed this as false news and posted it on its social media pages. But Christian fundamentalists and Dravidian groups seem to have mass reported the Mission Kaali Tamil page. As a result, our Mission Kaali Tamil page was temporarily disabled. Its post was flagged as “fake news” as Jesus Network TV took down their original post.

Earlier, the page had shared an article about Loyola College professors involved in a sexual abuse case.

The page had also posted an article titled “A guide for filing complaints against missionary organisations” which saw an influx of comments from lay Christians and professional missionaries about the need to be careful with Mission Kaali.

Mission Kaali has an online website in major Indian languages (Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, and Malayalam) carrying articles and videos exposing the face of Christian missionaries. They also have a strong social media presence with lakhs of followers in each of the regional pages apart from the main page of Mission Kaali.
