#Metoo fame lyricist Vairamuthu comes out with pedophilic lyrics in his latest song for Kalaignar TV project

‘Me Too’ fame lyricist Vairamuthu who now has a YouTube channel of his own released a new album song titled ‘En Kadhala’ on May 23 as part of his ‘Naatpadu Theral’ series.

The song is about a school-going girl in love with a grey-haired old ‘poet’ and is filmed with 16-year-old star Anika Surendran.

Netizens have been lashing out that the basic premise of the song encourages pedophilia and delivers a message that pedophilia is OK in the name of poetry. Many lashed out that the lyrics are not only meant to provoke sexual thoughts in children but also has underlying pedophilic sentiments, and that the song should be removed from the YouTube website immediately and appropriate action be taken against Vairamuthu.

The lyrics of the song, “Will age end our lives?, Liplocks doesn’t know our age, Isn’t moon the oldest of all, But this young lily will bloom when moon asks to,” has been accused of blatantly trying to show pedophilia in the blanket of love.

#MeToo fame controversial lyricist Vairamuthu has been accused of sexual harassment by Singer Chinmayi. However, no action has been taken against Vairamuthu as he is close to the late DMK chief Karunanidhi and the current chief minister MK Stalin and Kanimozhi. When Chinmayi Sripada called out Vairamuthu and accused him of sexual harassment, Vairamuthu’s fans and DMK workers, slut-shamed her and accused her of deliberately blaming Vairamuthu.

The ‘Naatpadu Theral’ is a project by Vairamuthu for the DMK mouthpiece Kalaignar TV with song project with 100 singers, 100 composer and 100 directors.
