Intoxicated Resident Under Influence Of Durgs Wreaks Havoc, Hospital Premises Vandalized, Nurse and Doctors Targeted in Mannargudi

Chaos erupted at Mannargudi Government Hospital when an individual, under the influence of ganja, wreaked havoc by vandalizing items on the premises. Serving as the primary government hospital in Thiruvarur district, Mannargudi Government Hospital sees a significant influx of patients from diverse areas such as Ullikkottai and Paravakkottai on a daily basis.

In the recent incident, Vadivelu, a resident of Mannargudi, intoxicated by ganja, stormed into the hospital and initiated the attack on nurses and Doctors present, caused destruction to hospital property, including chairs. Additionally, he attempted to assault medical personnel, leading to a tumultuous situation within the hospital premises. A bystander captured the event on their cellphone and shared it on social media platforms.

Mannargudi police have launched an investigation into the matter, revealing that Vadivelu has a history of involvement in various criminal activities. Social activists and members of the public have urged authorities to take decisive action against the perpetrator responsible for the disruption at the hospital. In response, law enforcement has intensified efforts to apprehend the individual involved in the incident.

  • Footage capturing a disturbing incident of looting and atrocities in Madurai during Chitrai festival, depicting a group of youths intoxicated with ganja brutally assaulting an individual who had just finished work and then proceeding to vandalize shops. Khan Mohammad was pelted with stone and brutally attacked
  • Arulraj, bus conductor faced a vicious assault by an intoxicated youth in the Virudhachalam region.  An inebriated young man disrupted traffic on the Chidambaram link road. When the bus driver, intervened him to move aside, the youth attacked Arulraj, the conductor.
  • A city bus traveling from Pandanallur to Kumbakonam, passing through the Old Palakkarai Bridge area. A group of six individuals, allegedly intoxicated and riding a two-wheeler, demanded the passage on the bus, but Ramesh the driver,  insisted that they first clear the road of their obstructing bike. This refusal evidently angered the intoxicated youths, leading to a violent confrontation wherein they boarded the bus, attacked Ramesh, and forcibly ejected him from the vehicle, causing serious injuries.
  • On OMR’s Kannagi Nagar, a ganja dealer and two individuals under the influence of the drug to evade arrests attacked the police Head Constables Pushparaj and Silambarasan using knifes to escape the scene.
  •  In Krishnagiri, a young man lost his life while another sustained severe injuries after being attacked by a group of individuals under the influence of ganja and alcohol.
