Indu Makkal Katchi asks for 5 seats in AIADMK-BJP alliance, says will contest alone if not given

Arjun Sampath, Indu Makkal Katchi’s leader has said that his party would contest alone in the upcoming Assembly Elections if the AIADMK-BJP alliance does not offer 5 seats.

Speaking to the press, he said, “we have demanded five seats from the AIADMK for the upcoming assembly elections. If all goes well, this alliance will continue hassle-free. Otherwise, the Indu Makkal Katchi will contest in all the 234 constituencies independently. Some parties are keeping religion and caste at the forefront and are resorting to vote bank politics, trying to capitalise on the votes of that demographic. We are here to protect Hindu interests”

He went on to add that signed petitions have been obtained from the public by the members of the Indu Makkal Katchi in all the 234 constituencies and that the main goal of their party would be to reform temple administration in Tamil Nadu which have been mindlessly plundered by the DMK and other such parties. He added that all the legal struggles faced by the Hindus of Tamil Nadu will be addressed and fought for by the Indu Makkal Katchi if they came to power.

Concluding his statement, Sampath stated that most parties are trying to act inclusive and are granting seats to leaders from religious minorities and are conveniently ignoring Hindus.
