Foul-mouthed DMK sympathizer launches attack on Zoho’s CEO, gets served in style by latter

Savukku Shankar, a DMK sympathizer and an online troll who is known for his rabble rousing against Hindus, specifically Brahmins, launched an unsolicited attack on Zoho Corporation’s CEO Sridhar Vembu by making derogatory remarks against him.

On Sunday (January 17), Savukku Shankar put out a tweet posting a picture claiming it to be Sridhar Vembu’s home in California, USA and asked “Why would such a filthy rich Iyengar leave all this luxury & settle in Tenkasi district and lead a simpleton life?”

He went on to claim that Sridhar Vembu was part of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and even called him ‘pure poison’.

He also went on to use vulgar words against Mr. Vembu and asked him to give the property he allegedly owns to Tamil Nadu government in another tweet.

“Hey you Moodevi (a derogatory word in Tamil). If you are such a simple man, why do you have such a big house in California? If you have the guts, try writing off the property to Tamil Nadu government”, he wrote in his tweet.

Following these tweets, many netizens lashed out at Savukku for his crass remarks and allegations levelled against the billionaire business magnate who has set up his office at a village near Tenkasi in Tamil Nadu. Many asked if he dared to question the members of the DMK family like Maran brothers (Dayanidhi Maran and Kalanithi Maran).

Many also called out Savukku’s history who is alleged to have not paid alimony to his estranged wife and children.

Following this episode, Mr. Sridhar Vembu put out a tweet giving back in style saying that he chooses to ignore these attacks and focus on his work. “I would invite these name callers and abusers to try to build companies and compete with Zoho. At least we will have more jobs!”, the Zoho CEO wrote in response.
