A 19 year old girl was raped by her own father by making her have sleeping pills in the name of treating her with cough and fever tablets.
The girl had come to her father’s place where he lived with his second wife and daughter. The first wife reportedly lives separate.
The girl is said to have developed symptoms of cold and fever. Her father brought instead of treating her gave her sleeping tablets. After having the tablets she fell unconscious and her father sexually assaulted her. When she knew that she was being sexually assaulted by her father she tried to complain about it to her stepmother.
As it fell on the deaf ears of the stepmother, she became depressed and drank bathroom chemicals. Later she went to the nearby police station to complain about it.
A complaint was registered with the Bellandur police and the father was arrested immediately under POCSO.
