An incident where a hygiene worker belonging to Royapuram, Chennai was attacked by a DMK office bearer has caused stir in the area.
Loganathan has been working as a hygiene worker at the Corporation Office in Royapuram for the past 10 years. After completing the work for the day, he was about to sign the register and leave office when DMK circle secretary confronted him. He along with others were told to stay till 2 PM. This had resulted in a spat and the DMK office bearer hit Loganathan for opposing him. He had apparently told them that they are in power and that they should abide by what he says.
Loganathan who can be seen hurt near the eye later lodged a police complaint. Police are now investigating the matter.
