Deport William Dalrymple for his anti-India stand, Supreme Court lawyer Monika Arora files complaint

A complaint has been filed against leftist ‘historian’ William Dalrymple with the Consular, Passport and Visa Division of Ministry of External Affairs by senior Supreme Court Advocate Monika Arora who has accused him of interfering in India’s internal affairs.

In her complaint, she has charged him with violating Visa conditions by engaging in activities interfering in India’s internal affairs.

Dalrymple is a national of the United Kingdom and has an Indian Business Visa.

Monika Arora in her complaint says, “It has been observed however that Mr Dalrymple has been deliberately engaging in activities that interfere with India’s internal affairs,”.

The complaint further says that William Dalrymple is interfering in the country’s internal affairs by putting out public statements, interviews that concern India’s democratic and political processes.

Another important accusation against this Mughalophile is that he has been actively canvassing against the CAA by peddling half-truths, commenting against the Indian Government and making snide remarks against Indian citizens.

Several instances have been listed where Darlymple’s statements and articles have been written against India’s integrity, sovereignty and displayed a blatant bias against a democratically elected government.

After the abrogation of Article 370, Dalrymple gave his support to Kashmiri separatists and expressed his opposition.

Accoriding to the complatent, India had deported foreign nationals who took part in anti-CAA protests like Jakob Linthendal, a German citizen studying at IIT Madras, Jenny Metty Johansson of Norway living in Kochi, and Bangladeshi national Afsara Anika Meem, who lives in Kolkata.

They were asked to leave the country because they violated their visa norms by indulging in activities in anti-India activities.

So by that precedence William Darlymple’s visa should also be revoked for his anti-India activities and ban him from entering the country again, says the complaint.

Monica Arora is one of  the authors of the book ‘Delhi Riots 2020: The Untold Story’ whose publication by Bloomsbury was stopped after a section of left wing authors and intellectuals put pressure on the publishing company.

However, ‘Garuda Publications’ took the mantle to publish this book which saw all records broken when 15,000 copies were sold in less than 24 hours.
