In what comes as a pleasant surprise once again, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Thursday extended his greetings on the occasion of the kumbabhishekam of the Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, which is being held after 17 years.

In a statement on the official X handle, Vijay described the Meenakshi Amman Temple as a symbol of Tamil spirituality, art, culture, architecture and sculpture that has stood the test of centuries.

He said he was happy that the temple’s Thirukuda Nanneerattu Peruvizha (kumbabhishekam) was being conducted in a grand manner after a gap of 17 years.

Vijay said the festival would showcase the heritage of Tamil culture to the world and highlight the spiritual and historical legacy of Tamil Nadu.

Extending his wishes to devotees, he prayed that divine blessings would fill everyone’s lives with health, prosperity and happiness.

He also called for the preservation of the state’s ancient temples and their historical significance, saying their spiritual and cultural heritage should be carried forward to future generations.
