With the Tamil Nadu government extending the lockdown till June 30, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has issued an order to provide financial assistance of ₹1000 for differently abled people across Tamil Nadu.
The move is set to benefit around 13.35 lakh differently abled cardholders.
The Chief Minister has also announced ₹1000 financial support for all rice card holders falling within the Greater Chennai Corporation limit and in parts of Thiruvallur, Chengalpet, Kanchipuram districts where complete lockdown has been announced. The CM has issued orders to handover ₹1000 at the doorstep of beneficiaries.
