“Even Jasmine From Neighbor’s Garden Possesses Fragrance”, AIADMK’s Sellur Raju Praises Rahul Gandhi

Sellur K Raju, a three-time AIADMK MLA and former Minister for Co-operation, has sparked controversy yet again by extending birthday wishes and praising Rahul Gandhi, the scion of Congress. Raju commended Rahul for his persistent efforts to strengthen the Congress, likening his influence to the fragrance of jasmine from a neighbor’s garden.

AIADMK’s former minister Sellur Raju commented during the inauguration of a new e-service center in Madurai that, “Just as the jasmine flower in one’s garden emits fragrance, so too does the one next door; you cannot deny its fragrance.” He emphasized the establishment of the e-service center in Madurai West Block, funded by the Public Works Department, to facilitate public access for birth and death certificates. He clarified that despite recent statements, AIADMK is not aligned with BJP, citing concerns over the fairness of upcoming elections and accusing DMK of tactics to sway public opinion.

Previously, Raju acknowledged Rahul Gandhi’s persistence and efforts for Congress, contrasting DMK’s election strategies and challenging their ability to govern independently. He also referenced Gandhi’s recent restaurant visit during a campaign, which had gone viral, and expressed admiration for Rahul as a young leader. Raju’s positive comment on Rahul sparked discussion, especially since it was later deleted amid Tamil Nadu’s political dynamics with AIADMK against the Congress-DMK alliance. It is noteworthy that AIADMK was vying for an alliance with the Congress in Tamil Nadu for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

On the same time a day before, during the inauguration ceremony for the construction of a bridge over the Naga Theertha stream near Thuvariman in Madurai, Sellur K Raju extended a warm welcome to actor Vijay as he ventures into politics, inviting him to consider joining the AIADMK alliance. Raju emphasized the party’s readiness for elections and criticized the DMK, accusing them of resorting to new election tactics. He pointed to instances of alleged voter inducement by the DMK in recent bypolls, contrasting it with criticism from Congress leader EVKS Elangovan comparing MK Stalin’s governance to that of K Kamaraj.

Raju suggested that such comparisons might not resonate with voters, citing the AIADMK’s decision to boycott certain bypolls like Vikravandi in protest. He challenged the DMK to contest upcoming elections independently if they believe their influence has grown. Raju also reflected on past alliances and electoral dynamics in Tamil Nadu, cautioning against over-reliance on electoral promises and religious politics. Regarding actor Vijay’s potential political entry, Raju highlighted Vijay’s philanthropic efforts and expressed openness to his joining the AIADMK alliance, leaving the terms to be discussed by party secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami.

Political critics suggest that these remarks by AIADMK’s Sellur Raju come amidst substantial losses in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and a lack of prominent alliances willing to join them.

Chennai: RS Member’s Daughter Who Allegedly Ran Over Person Sleeping On Pavement Granted Bail, TN Media Which Went Gaga Over Pune Porsche Case Silent

On the evening of June 17, 2024, Beeda Madhuri, the daughter of Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Beeda Masthan Rao, allegedly drove over a 22-year-old man who was sleeping on a pavement near Besant Nagar in Chennai. This incident has stirred significant controversy, particularly as Madhuri, who was reportedly driving the BMW, was granted station bail after surrendering on the morning of 18 June 2024.

The tragic event took place on Tiger Varadachari Road near Kalakshetra Colony. The victim, Surya, was a painter living in Odaikuppam near Besant Nagar. Police reported that Surya had a disagreement with his wife, Vanitha. After drinking alcohol, he slept on the pavement near Varadaraj Salai, approximately 2 km from his home. Concerned for his wellbeing, Vanitha went out to search for him and found him asleep on the pavement.

“As she stepped aside to call relatives for assistance, the car driven by Madhuri turned onto the road and ran over Surya, a police officer associated with the case stated.

Eyewitnesses and Vanitha’s account indicate that the car stopped briefly following the accident. Two women reportedly exited the vehicle, assessed the situation, called for an ambulance, and left as a crowd gathered. Bystanders rushed Surya to the Government Royapettah Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. Madhuri, accompanied by her lawyer, surrendered to the police on Tuesday morning. She was arrested on charges of causing death by negligence under Section 304A of the Indian Penal Code but was quickly released on station bail.

A senior police source revealed to The Indian Express that releasing the accused on station bail rather than court bail was a mistake. Court bail would have secured the medical report of the driver, the officer explained.

The incident has incited anger among locals and Surya’s relatives, who accuse the police of inaction. They protested at the Shastri Nagar police station on 17 June night, demanding immediate action against the driver. The crowd dispersed only after police officers assured them of stringent measures.

Surya, who had been married for just eight months, was trying to make a living through painting and odd jobs. The Adyar traffic investigation unit is currently handling the case.

The silence of the Tamil news media on this incident is telling. In contrast, the same Tamil media channels went gaga and covered the recent accident involving the Porsche car which killed two youths on a two-wheeler in Pune.

DMK Minister Mano Thangaraj’s Brother Allegedly Issues Death Threat To TASMAC Bar Owner, Minister Denies Links To Brother

In a recent incident in Tamil Nadu, a man from Kanyakumari district has filed a formal complaint with Marthandam police alleging that he is being threatened with kidnapping and murder by the brother of a DMK minister, which has caused widespread shock.

Muthazhagan, who runs Tasmac bars in the area, stated in his complaint that Jayan Thangaraj, brother of Milk & Dairy Development Minister Mano Thangaraj, made these threats. Muthazhagan also claimed that Jayan Thangaraj had abducted another bar owner named Bensam and kept him confined in a house, leading to fears for his own safety. According to reports, Bensam and Muthazhagan were involved in a financial transaction related to acquiring rights to operate a bar from Zenith. Allegedly, after taking money, they backed out of the deal, prompting Zenith to inform Jayan Thangaraj about the situation regarding the promised rights. Subsequently, an audio recording purportedly capturing Jayan Thangaraj and Zenith discussing the abduction of Bensam in a car has gone viral in the social media.

In the recorded conversation between Jayan Thangaraj and Zenith, Jayan Thangaraj inquires, “How much money did you give to Muthazhagan regarding the bar matter?” to which Zenith responds, “I gave him 2/80 lakh rupees and some.

Jayan Thangaraj asserts, “I will catch the two of them and get the money.” Zenith insists, “Get it brother, don’t leave even a penny. Even if I get less, it’s enough; I need to get admitted in the hospital.” Jayan then says, “I will put it.” Zenith urges, “Recover it all.” Jayan concludes, “Alright, I’ll call you later.” Zenith ends with, “Thrash his face.”

In response to this matter, DMK Minister for Milk and Dairy Development, Mano Thangaraj, clarified that appropriate action has been initiated based on the filed complaint. He emphasized that there is no association between himself and his brother Jayan Thangaraj in this issue.

5 Dead After Consuming Spurious Liquor In Kallakurichi, Opposition Parties Slam DMK Govt For Failure To Control Illicit Liquor

In yet another hooch tragedy under the DMK government, five people lost their lives after consuming illicit liquor in the Karunapuram area near Kallakurichi. More than ten others have fallen ill and were receiving treatment in local hospitals.

The recent deaths in Karunapuram have highlighted the persistent issue of bootleg liquor sales. A known bootlegger, Kannukutty, has been operating in the area, despite multiple incarcerations. Residents, driven by the high prices at TASMAC outlets, have resorted to buying his illicit products. Unfortunately, this has led to severe health consequences, including severe headaches, vomiting, and fainting.

This incident has sparked renewed concerns about the increasing availability and consumption of narcotics in Tamil Nadu. Despite the presence of government-run TASMAC liquor stores across the state, many individuals are turning to cheaper, illegal alternatives.

The five victims have been identified as Suresh, Praveen, Shekhar, Mahesh, and Jagadish. The affected individuals have been admitted to the Kallakurichi Government Medical College Hospital and various private hospitals for treatment.

The grieving relatives of the deceased have called for immediate action to prevent further tragedies. “No more lives should be lost to alcohol,” they said tearfully.

The state has seen a worrying rise in deaths due to toxic liquor consumption. Last year in May, 22 people died in similar incidents in the Villupuram and Chengalpattu districts. To make things worse, MK Stalin-led DMK government awarded ₹50,000 solatium to the culprit responsible for the hooch tragedy in Tamil Nadu which resulted in 19 deaths.

BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai slammed MK Stalin for failing to control the rapid rise of illicit liquor cells.

“It is clear that the DMK government has not taken any action to control bootleg liquor in Marakanam and Madhuranthakam areas, after 23 lives were lost to bootleg liquor. I strongly condemn the DMK government which has taken three lives again without taking any action against DMK Minister Mr. Mastan despite the fact that he was in close contact with bootleggers. The Minister of Prohibition, who is responsible for the continuous loss of lives without being able to stop the sale of bootleg liquor, should take full responsibility for this. I urge the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr.  MK Stalin to immediately dismiss both Minister Masthan who is in touch with the bootleg dealers and the Minister of Prohibition Muthusamy who has not prevented the sale of bootleg liquor.” Annamalai said.

AIADMK Leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami came down heavy on the DMK government and urged the Chief Minister to not play word games like last time referring to the Marakanam hooch tragedy incident where the DGP of Tamil Nadu had said that the death was not due to “hooch” but “methanol”.

“Ada G*mala Dei”: DMK Member Sivaji Krishnamurthy Abuses PM Modi, TN BJP Pres Annamalai, Derogates & Speaks Vulgarly About BJP Leader Tamilisai Soundarajan & Other NDA Leaders

The abusive rhetoric of Sivaji Krishnamurthy on the DMK stage seems unending, fueled by the support of the ruling DMK government. Despite his expulsion and subsequent reinstatement during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he remains unrepentant. Following the DMK’s victory, in his celebratory speech, he once again verbally attacked Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, and Anbumani Ramadoss.

Speaking at the celebration of Kalaignar’s 101st birthday, Sivaji Krishnamurthy began his speech with sarcasm, stating he was there to entertain the audience and cheekily addressing the cameramen, suggesting they were responsible for his fame due to editing his hour-long speeches into three-minute clips with catchy titles. He then lauded the achievements of former Chief Minister Karunanidhi and praised current Chief Minister MK Stalin’s accomplishments and financial aid initiatives. Then the verbal abuse on opposition began with criticizing Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai, Sivaji provocatively challenged, “He said there won’t be a party called DMK after the elections. ‘Ada g*mala dei’ ,Do you have the mouth to say it, can you say it?

Later, while mocking former Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Sivaji remarked, “Now a sister went to Andhra today; Amit Shah sent her with two slaps to her ears. Amit Shah has stated, ‘Be respectful, shut up and keep quiet, if you open your mouth here and there, I will cut and bury you.’ If you look at her face, it’s like that. Today, if you see my sister went to V-Care, straightened all her curly hair straightened and went stylish. This is why we say, isn’t there a saying or not, ‘Even if you call a dog and keep, where will it go? It will go to eat sh*t.”

He further went on to say, “She (Tamilisai) holds the mic and says, brother asked before coming, sister asked in how many lakhs will you win? I said by one lakh. My brother has gone up… in jeep (double meaning) … brother has gone up, now two lakhs. Now tell me what should we keep in mouth?”

Then going on a rampage mode on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sivaji Krishnamurthy said, “Now if you say Modi ka means Chandrababu Naidu will put a banana in the mouth, if you open it again, Nitish Kumar will bring the item that is best from North and put it in (the mouth), if you open it more… who is he, Pawan Kalyan right, then there is another one in Maharashtra… Brother has just said two or three only… the epitome of treachery Eknath Shinde right, then Ajit Pawar and Ram Vilas Paswan have one child, If all these people take it and put it in (the mouth), Modi’s mouth will tear, henceforth there will be no Modi Ka Parivar, Modi Ka Guarantee. You should keep it wrapped up and roll up your tail.”

Responding to criticism from Anbumani Ramadoss, President of Pattali Makkal Katchi, who claimed that the DMK has nothing to do with social justice, Sivaji Krishnamurthy retorted, “Go and suck whoever you’ve joined with. Don’t ask us; did you join us?”

Only recently, Sivaji Krishnamurthy sparked controversy with his attack on Sarath Kumar and his wife Radhika, used abusive double entendres speech and the criticism was met with strong opposition from Radhika. During the campaign speech endorsing DMK MP Candidate G Selvan from Kanchipuram featuring Sivaji Krishnamurthy said, “Who is he? Nirodh (Condom) …. Sorry! Sarath Kumar… Even if I go to Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, it will be exactly 1 or 2 O’clock, then I will go home and wake up my wife. She has to be woken up for something right. Don’t you need a reason to wake up your wife? This sister f*c*er has woken her half past two… this Sarath Kumar. She is sleepy, she has come and lie down after giving an advertisement to nighties. At half past two, he calls ‘Radhika, Radhika’. Squinting her eyes, she asks what? If you have wakened her up for something else, you are a man. Instead, he tells her ‘Modi is calling shall we go?’”

Previous comments he made include, “He wakes up the sleeping Radhika at two o’clock, ‘wake up Radhika, wake up, shall we go to Modi?’… What kind of survival is this? He says this on stage – ‘At half past two, I asked my wife and she said we can go with Modi. My wife and I came holding hands.

Earlier, during a centenary commemoration of Karunanidhi, Krishnamurthy disparaged Governor Ravi and made derogatory remarks about Khushbu, causing widespread outrage on social media and condemnation from various quarters. Responding to the criticism, Khushbu, visibly upset, addressed the media from her home, passionately condemning the mistreatment of women and expressing her determination to confront those who disparage them. She emphasized her readiness to challenge any individual or political party that denigrates women.

Krishnamurthy, known for his controversial speeches, has previously been suspended from the DMK for making threats against Governor R.N. Ravi and for verbally attacking other leaders such as K. Annamalai and Edappadi Palaniswami. Despite facing repeated suspensions and reinstatements within the DMK, he continues to deliver provocative speeches marked by offensive language, particularly targeting women. His actions have sparked significant backlash from social media, political circles, and commentators, yet he remains defiant and unapologetic.

“M**devi M*nda, Pickle-Selling Mami”: DMK Speaker Iniyavan Hurls Abuses At FM Nirmala Sitharaman, Abuses PM Modi’s And Annamalai’s Parents

DMK has once again unleashed its rabid stage speakers to attack its political opponents with one “Kavignar Iniyavan” hurling abuses against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and BJP Tamil Nadu State President K. Annamalai.

“Kavignar” Iniyavan who claims himself to be a “poet” has been platformed by DMK’s mouthpiece Kalaignar TV as a “pattimandram” (debate) speaker. He was recently speaking at an event organized by the DMK and attended by various DMK leaders. The event was presided by Dindigul Leoni, a controversial orator who now heads the Tamil Nadu Textbook & Educational Services Corporation.

During the DMK event, Iniyavan made abusive remarks against Finance Minister Nirmal Sitharaman with a veiled dig at her Brahmin woman identity.

He said “If we send our (DMK) ladies to the Parliament with a margin of 2.5 lakh votes, there will be one ‘Moodhevi Munda’ sitting opposite to you and will ask you questions. That one (implying Nirmala Sitharaman) will not even stand in a single election. I have just one request. Hon’ble Members of Parliament, when you go to the Parliament and if that ‘pickle-selling mami’ comes and stands in front of you, tell her this – I’ve come here after winning 2.5 lakh votes, you talk if you can get one vote from Perungudi.

Moodhevi is the Goddess of misfortune but it has also gained the currency of a cuss word. Munda is a Tamil cuss word and disrespectful way of addressing a widowed woman. The word Mami is used as a slur and in derogatory fashion especially by Dravidian ideologues when addressing Tamil Brahmin women in Tamil Nadu.

This is not the first time that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been targeted by DMK and other Dravidianists for her Brahmin woman identity.

Earlier, former Justice Chandru had hurled casteist slurs at Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman calling her “Ooruga Maami“,  a casteist and a sexist reference to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s Brahmin and woman identity. Recently, DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran during the Lok Sabha election campaign called Nirmala Sitharaman as “Nirmala Mami“. A Raja insulted Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, too mocked her Tamil Brahmin background by referring to her as ‘Mami.’ YouTube beautician turned DMK IT Wing functionary shared a video of a Muslim woman mocking Nirmala Sitharaman

Iniyavan then went on to attack BJP Tamil Nadu State President K. Annamalai who had targeted DMK MP Kanimozhi for nepotism.

Iniyavan said “I will say that my parents are the best. Leoni Annan will say that his parents are the best. This is what a person born to a good mother and father will say with intelligence. Can I say ‘Had it been for his father, I would’ve passed’? Whom are you insulting? If someone asks you (Annamalai) why you lost, and you say ‘My father’s name is not Karunanidhi’, aren’t you insulting your Ngomma? Are you a leader?

Ngomma is a derogatory way of addressing Amma (mother). Iniyavan also called Annamalai a “Tharudhalai” which loosely translates to a wastrel.

“If this wastrel is like this, there’s one above him (Narendra Modi). He’s saying that he was not born through his mother and father. I jumped from the sky. Ayoyo!”, Iniyavan went on to say.

At this point, Dindigul Leoni interjects and can be heard saying “I was not born naturally like other humans. I was sent by God” referring PM Modi’s comments about how he felt blessed by divinity to fulfil his mission of serving people to which Iniyavan makes crass sexual innuendo about PM Modi’s father saying “What was your father doing?

There have been many instances where DMK leaders especially stage-speakers like Sivaji Krishnamurthy who have indulged in making personal and abusive remarks against PM Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, BJP leader Annamalai, Governor RN Ravi to name a few.

The Abusive Hate-Mongering Tweets Of “Spirit Of Congress”

INC Kerala’s X handle was in the news recently for its derogatory tweets against the Pope and Prime Minister Modi. It was also seen bullying the CEO of EaseMyTrip. Another pro-Congress handle on social media platform X by the name Spirit Of Congress came under the scanner for its posts derogating Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

While these are old posts made by the handle, they resurfaced recently on the platform.

In a post made in 2021, the Spirit of Congress handle derogated the UP CM by invoking the Mahabharatha. They had written, “If Yogi was there during Mahabharat times, there wouldn’t be 5 Pandavas.”

Another post which has now been deleted also derogated the UP CM.

Subsequently, Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla filed complaints against the handle.

It is noteworthy that this same handle, Spirit of Congress was the one which propagated the edited (deepfake) video of Amit Shah where he is seen saying reservations to SC/ST will be removed. All the chaos started with this fake news peddler handle. We all know what the outcome of it was.

Additionally, Spirit of Congress has regularly posted hate-filled posts against PM Modi, the BJP, and Hindus.

High Court Dismisses NEET Candidate Ayushi Patel’s “Torn OMR Sheet” Plea Over Forged Documents; Priyanka Gandhi Promoted False Claims

The Allahabad High Court dismissed a petition filed by NEET aspirant Ayushi Patel on Tuesday after finding inconsistencies in her claims about a damaged OMR answer sheet.

Patel had alleged that the National Testing Agency (NTA) failed to declare her result due to a torn OMR sheet. She also claimed to have scored 715 based on the answer key, but received a result with a different application number showing only 335 marks. These allegations were made in a video that went viral amid widespread accusations of “irregularities” in the 2024 NEET-UG exam.

She claimed that the National Testing Agency (NTA), notified her via email that her OMR sheet had sustained damage and that her result couldn’t be processed due to the discovery of a torn and damaged OMR sheet. Patel alleged that the tearing of her OMR sheet seemed intentional. Nonetheless, she emphasized that despite the damage, her submitted answers were visible on the sheet, amounting to a total score of 715 out of 720 marks when compared with the official answer key.

In her petition, Patel requested a manual evaluation of her OMR sheet, an investigation into the NTA, and a suspension of the ongoing admission counseling process.

However, the NTA busted her lies in an X post and clarified that no torn OMR answer sheet was dispatched through an official NTA ID. The integrity of the OMR answer sheet remains intact, and the scores have been accurately recorded according to official documentation, the testing agency noted.

The NTA presented the original OMR sheet in court, which showed no damage. The court, labeling the case as involving “forged documents,” dismissed the petition and stated that the NTA could take legal action against Patel.

“The petitioner has submitted forged documents, and in such a situation, this court cannot stop NTA from taking legal action against the student,” the court declared.

The NTA confirmed their intention to pursue legal action. Patel’s lawyer then requested to withdraw the petition, which the court accepted.

Previously, the NTA had refuted Patel’s claims, asserting that her actual score was lower than she claimed and that her OMR sheet was intact.

Ayushi Patel’s viral video was shared by Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who supported her claims of discrepancies in her exam results. Gandhi had urged the government to address alleged paper leaks and irregularities.

Sharing the video of Ayushi Patel, Priyanka Gandhi had said “Lakhs of children prepare hard for exams like NEET and spend the most precious moments of their lives in this preparation. The whole family puts their faith and strength in this effort. But year after year, paper leaks and irregularities related to results have been reported in these exams. Shouldn’t the accountability of the agencies conducting the exams be fixed? Shouldn’t the government give up its careless attitude and seriously consider the exam system? We cannot see the dreams of our young friends being shattered like this. This injustice being done by the system with their hard work must stop. The government will have to take serious steps to correct these irregularities.

Following the High Court’s dismissal of Patel’s petition, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala criticized Priyanka Gandhi for “peddling fakery” and “amplifying lies,” demanding that she apologize and face consequences for her actions.

“No Sacred Threads In Hand, No Tilak In Forehead”: Justice Chandru Who Made Casteist Remarks Gives Suggestions For Removal Of “Caste Divide” Among Students

Justice Chandru’s committee was formed after the disturbing Nanguneri incident in Tirunelveli district where two Scheduled Caste students were attacked by students from an intermediate caste.

The Nanguneri Incident

A Class 12 Scheduled Caste student Chinnadurai, aged 17, and his younger sister, aged 14, were viciously attacked with sickles within the confines of their home on the night of 9 August 2023. The assault, carried out by three of Chinnadurai’s schoolmates, came just hours after he had lodged a complaint against them with the school headmaster, detailing their persistent harassment. The assailants belonged to a dominant caste, were apprehended by the police and charges were filed under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Reports indicated that Chinnadurai had been subjected to caste-based harassment at the government-aided school in Valliyoor. The perpetrators, belonging to the Maravar community, reportedly subjected him to humiliation, coercing him to procure cigarettes and snacks for them and subjecting him to bullying. The situation escalated to such an extent that Chinnadurai felt compelled to share his torment with his parents and even stopped attending school a week before the horrifying attack.

The school administration did summon Chinnadurai and his parents for a meeting, during which the young victim communicated the psychological agony he was enduring due to the harassers. While the school authorities warned the harassers and urged the victim to resume his studies, events took a sinister turn on Wednesday when the gang confronted Chinnadurai within the school premises, warning him of dire consequences for having reported them.

Later that night, around 10:30 pm, the six accused students reportedly reached the victim’s residence, wielding sickles, and launched a brutal assault. In an attempt to shield her brother, Chinnadurai’s sister also suffered injuries.

The Committee & Its Recommendations

To prevent such caste-based violence, the government set up a one-man committee. Retired Madras High Court judge Justice K. Chandru submitted the report to CM Stalin and recommendedsignificantchanges to eliminate caste indicators in Tamil Nadu schools. The recommendations include banning coloured sacred wrist threads, rings, and forehead marks – tilak that signify caste, and removing caste-related names from schools. Point 8B states, “Students should be prohibited from wearing any coloured wristbands, rings, or forehead marks (Tilaka). They must also refrain from coming to school on bicycles painted with reference to their caste or exhibiting any caste-related sentiments. Failure to comply with these rules must result in appropriate action being taken, in addition to advising their parents or guardians.”

Some of the other recommendations include:

  • The report advises that students must not display any caste-related sentiments, including using bicycles marked with caste references. Non-compliance should result in appropriate actions and parental advisement.
  • State-run schools should remove terms likeKallar ReclamationandAdi Dravidar Welfarefrom their names. Private schools should be requested to drop caste appellations, with legal action considered for non-compliance, potentially through legislative changes.
  • The committee also recommends that student attendance registers omit any caste-related details. Teachers should avoid calling students by their caste or making derogatory remarks linked to caste.
  • To enforce these changes, the report suggests amending the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, to prevent societies intending to start educational institutions from using caste-based names.
  • The report also calls for new legislation to promote social inclusion and eradicate caste discrimination, imposing responsibilities on students, staff, and school management, with mechanisms for supervision and penalties for non-compliance.

Additionally, the committee proposes enhancing local bodies’ control over primary education, granting block-level administrations full authority over schools, including staffing decisions. The state government should handle curriculum guidelines, standards, and board exams while formulating new laws to empower local bodies and amend the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act of 1994 for a more community-focused education system.

This removal of caste names, hiding/”protecting” caste names, and prohibiting wearing Tilak and sacred wrist threads is akin to the Dravidian model of making Hindus remove their caste/surnames. The Dravidian ideologues enforced this removal of a person’s surname as a means to “abolish/eradicate” caste. Ironically, despite having succeeded in removing surnames as a mode of eradicating caste differences, incidents like Nanguneri continue day in and day out.

Critics see this move as a method to divide the Hindus further based on caste and also ensure that Hindus lose their identities forever. Instead of creating awareness and empathy in children about various castes and fostering harmony, recommending such drastic and Hinduphobic measures will only lead to dividing the society further and deepening the Dravidianist ideologies in the minds of the people and destroying society.

It is noteworthy that this retired judge also had hurled casteist slurs at Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. In this tweet, Justice Chandru appeared to make a veiled remark about a BJP leader, presumably Annamalai, by stating, “Like Pickle Lady (a derogatory term targeting Tamil Brahmin women), he is attempting to become a Rajya Sabha member from Karnataka.” He implied that Annamalai’s aspirations mirror those of Nirmala Sitharaman, referred to as ‘Oorka Ammaiyaar.’

Shocking Attempt To Abduct Tribal Girls In Nilgiris By Kerala Residents For Domestic Labour

As the organ trafficking controversy in Kerala continues to stir emotions, a new incident involving three individuals from Kerala has brought the spotlight to Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiris district. This alarming case bears a striking resemblance to a plot from director Rajamouli’s film “RRR,” shaking the community of Gudalur to its core.

In a chilling turn of events, three tribal girls were abducted near Gudalur in the Nilgiris district, echoing a scene from “RRR” where an English woman abducts Junior NTR’s sister for housework.

The trio was kidnapped in a car with Kerala registration plates from the tribal village of Semundi, under the Srimadurai Panchayat.

The abduction occurred while the girls’ parents were away. Alert locals, suspicious of the car’s activities, notified the Srimadurai Panchayat Council President, who promptly pursued and intercepted the vehicle, leading to a dramatic rescue.

Upon police intervention, the situation took a shocking turn. It was revealed that three individuals, including two women from Malappuram, had orchestrated the kidnapping with the help of an accomplice from Chemundi village who was residing in Kerala. The trio exploited the vulnerability and lack of awareness among the tribal community to abduct the children for domestic work.

The Nilgiris district, particularly the forests around Gudalur, is home to a significant tribal population. Despite efforts by central and state governments to improve educational opportunities for these communities, many children remain educationally disadvantaged, making them targets for exploitation.

The three rescued girls have been placed in a shelter in Udhagamandalam. Nilgiri District Collector M. Aruna has intensified efforts to investigate if more children have fallen victim to such schemes.

Following a complaint from the District Child Welfare Officers, the police have registered a case under three sections, including child labour laws. The suspects, Suneera, Bairosa, and Mubaris Lal, have been arrested and are currently in custody as authorities delve into their backgrounds and the full extent of their activities.

This disturbing incident underscores the urgent need for increased vigilance and protection for vulnerable tribal communities in the Nilgiris district.
