Man Dragged For Half A Km By Muslim Driver, Dead Woman Transported In Auto: Wayanad Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Flaunts Bag Supporting For Palestine But Remains Silent On Atrocities Against Tribals In Her Own Constituency

Kerala’s Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, a stronghold of the Congress once represented by Rahul Gandhi and now by his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, continues to grapple with significant challenges, particularly for its tribal communities. Despite the constituency’s strong support for the Congress, it remains in a dire state, with tribal communities facing ongoing neglect and injustice. Recent events have highlighted the failures of both the political and administrative systems in the region, bringing these issues to the forefront.

On 16 December 2024, when Chundamma, a 76-year-old tribal woman, passed away at her home in Wayanad. Due to the unavailability of an ambulance, her body had to be transported to the crematorium in an autorickshaw. Her family had reportedly requested an ambulance from the Tribal Development Department, but no response was forthcoming. As a result, they were forced to use the autorickshaw. Tragically, the body, wrapped in a sheet, was visibly hanging out of the vehicle during the journey, a shocking display of administrative failure.

The incident, captured in videos and photos, went viral, sparking outrage on social media. Subsequently, Congress workers staged protests outside the Tribal Development Department office, demanding accountability. In response, the authorities suspended a local official for failing to ensure the availability of an ambulance. It is worth noting that the incident occurred in the Mananthavady constituency, which is represented by Kerala’s Tribal Affairs Minister, O R Kelu.

Another disturbing event took place in the Mananthavady area on 15 December 2024, when a 49-year-old tribal man, Mathan, was brutally attacked and dragged for half a kilometer by a moving car. The attack occurred after a minor dispute between two tourist groups, during which Mathan and other locals attempted to intervene. The accused, who identified themselves as tourists, assaulted Mathan and then dragged him behind their vehicle. The suspects—Mohammad Arshid, Abhiram, Vishnu, and Navil Kamar—have been identified, and the car involved, a Maruti Celerio, was seized by the police. Mathan sustained severe injuries, especially to his legs and hands, and is currently in critical condition at Wayanad Medical College Hospital.

The BJP has condemned the Congress-led government’s selective response to these incidents, particularly the silence of leaders like Priyanka Gandhi and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Kerala BJP President K. Surendran questioned, “Pseudo-intellectuals in Kerala cry hoarse about incidents in North India, yet stay eerily silent when a tribal youth is brutally dragged by a car in Mananthavady, Wayanad. Why this selective outrage? Is it because the incident doesn’t serve your narrative?”

The recent events in Wayanad highlight the failure of both the political and administrative systems to address the ongoing issues faced by the tribal population. The incident involving Chundamma’s body transportation and Mathan’s brutal assault reflects the systemic neglect and exploitation of marginalized communities. It is particularly concerning that such incidents are happening in a constituency once represented by Rahul Gandhi and now under the leadership of his sister, Priyanka Gandhi, who have both failed to act on behalf of the people they represent.

The Congress party’s selective outrage is evident in the way they have responded to these incidents. While Congress leaders have protested issues like the farmers’ protests or the Hathras case, they have remained silent when it comes to the struggles of the tribal communities in Wayanad. This selective approach, especially in light of the fact that the accused in Mathan’s case are Muslims, raises questions about whether Congress is engaging in politics of convenience, choosing when to speak out based on electoral advantage.

This pattern of neglect toward the tribal community in Wayanad is not new. For years, issues such as inadequate healthcare, poor education, and administrative apathy have been ignored by the Congress party. The political engagement with these communities has often been limited to election periods, with little action taken in between.

The recent incidents in Wayanad thus expose the hypocrisy of the Congress party and the ongoing neglect faced by the tribal population in the region. The failure of both the political leadership and the administrative system to address these issues only highlights the need for a broader, more inclusive approach to governance in Wayanad and other tribal areas.

‘There Should Be A Common Law For Every Religion In Secular Nation’: Amit Shah Slams Congress In Rajya Sabha For Failure To Implement UCC

'There Should Be A Common Law For Every Religion In Secular Nation': Amit Shah Slams Congress In Rajya Sabha For Failure To Implement UCC

Launching a scathing attack on the Congress over failing to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) across the country, Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused the Congress of appeasement politics and asked the party to clarify “if there should there be a common law for every religion in a secular nation”.

Concluding the discussion in the Rajya Sabha on the 75 years of adoption of the Constitution, the Union Home Minister also lashed out at Congress over its allegations concerning Electronic Voting Machines (EVM), saying some of those who made complaints about the results in Maharashtra celebrated it in Jharkhand, where JMM-led INDIA bloc won the Assembly elections.

He asked why UCC has not been implemented yet. “Why hasn’t UCC come yet? It didn’t come because after the Constituent Assembly was concluded and elections were over, the country’s first PM Nehruji introduced Muslim Personal Law, not UCC. I want to ask the Congress party in this House that in a secular nation, should there be a common law for every religion or not? Why do they support the Muslim Personal Law? There can be no bigger political manoeuvre than this…They started appeasement right there by introducing the Muslim Personal Law…You cannot bring the UCC because you cannot rise above the politics of appeasement. In Uttarakhand, our (BJP) government has implemented the Uniform Civil Code in the state,” he said.

Home Minister Shah lashed out at Congress over some of the constitutional amendments made during the party rule in the past. “The 39th Amendment in the Constitution crossed all the limits. On August 10, 1975, was a black day. Indira Gandhi’s elections were declared null and void by the Allahabad High Court. After they lose, they roam around with EVMs. They say the EVMs defeated them…When they lose they blame the EVMs. Two Assembly election results came out on the same day. Maharashtra ne opposition ka soopda saaf kar diya (bowled them out)…for disrespecting the mandate. So the EVMs are faulty in Maharashtra, but when they won in Jharkhand, they wore new clothes and rushed to take the oath. People are watching, you must be ashamed. How is it possible that EVM is working fine at one place and not at the other?” he asked.

The Union Home Minister said the Election Commission of India (ECI) had asked people to check if it was possible to hack the EVMs, but nobody turned up. “The EC kept the EVM from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for three days open for anyone to prove if it could be hacked. No one came. The Supreme Court rejected the petitions on EVMs 24 times,” he said.

Amit Shah said that Indira Gandhi’s election was declared null and void by the Allahabad High Court and slammed some constitutional amendments done by her government. “So she prohibited the judicial inquiry of a Prime Minister through amendment… I want to ask my Communist brothers to introspect on whom are they sitting,” Home Minister Shah said.

“The 42nd Amendment of the Constitution was made when Indira Gandhi was the PM… The tenure of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha was increased to six years. They did it because they would have lost if the elections had taken place at the right time… The members of Congress started remaining absent as they could not oppose. An amendment was made that the quorum was not required in both the Houses. The period of the President’s rule was increased by 6 months,” Shah added.

The debate on 75 years of the Constitution started in Rajya Sabha on Monday and lasted two days. Lok Sabha held the debate last week.

‘Disaster Model’: TN BJP President K Annamalai Slams DMK Govt Over Repeated Instances Of Rotten Eggs In Midday Meal Scheme, Christens Geetha Jeevan As “Rotten Eggs Minister”

'Disaster Model': TN BJP President K Annamalai Slams DMK Govt Over Repeated Instances Of Rotten Eggs In Midday Meal Scheme, Christens Geetha Jeevan As "Rotten Eggs Minister"

Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai has criticized the ruling DMK government, labeling it a ‘Disaster Model’ for its failure to provide quality eggs to students in government schools under the ‘Midday Meal’ program. This criticism comes in the wake of repeated complaints from parents, who reported that schools were serving rotten eggs, leading to public outrage as videos of the incident went viral and sparked commotion.

In response, Annamalai condemned the DMK and its ministers, urging them not to ignore the issue and to ensure such incidents are prevented in the future. He shared his concerns via his official X account, stating, “Once again, the Disaster model DMK government has served rotten eggs to school children in the midday meal. In a school in the Melpuram area of Kanyakumari district, rotten eggs have been served to students. This happens at least once a month in schools in Tamil Nadu. Where does the money provided by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Mr. @narendramodi, for the nutrition of children, go? We have seen many reports that eggs that should be provided in schools are being sold in shops with government stamps, but children are being given substandard eggs. The rotten egg minister responsible for all this does not seem to have taken any action yet.”

“Rotten Egg Minister Mrs. Geetha Jeevan should realize that, they are playing with the lives of children by giving them substandard eggs for food. Parents will teach the DMK government a lesson if they fail to take steps to prevent such incidents from happening again.” He added

The incident took place at the Government Primary School in Kuzhithurai, near Melpuram, in Kanyakumari district, where parents complained that the eggs provided under the Chief Minister’s Morning Breakfast Scheme had not been properly monitored or checked for quality by the workers. The eggs were reportedly of substandard quality, with some even emitting foul smells and appearing rotten.

In a similar situation, the eggs stored in the Nutritious Kitchen area also turned rotten, further fueling anger and concern among parents. This has sparked a stir, with parents demanding the removal of the government officials responsible for overseeing such negligent practices.

Last week, in Taludali village near Tindivanam in the Viluppuram district, approximately 490 rotten eggs meant for distribution to students under the midday meal scheme  were buried following an inspection by the Block Development Officer (BDO).

The issue of spoiled eggs being prepared for school students came to light when parents discovered that rotten, foul-smelling eggs were being used in the school meals. Concerned for their children’s health, the parents confronted the cooking staff at the government higher secondary and primary schools in Taludali village, leading to a heated argument.

Upon learning about the incident, Block Development Officer (BDO) Silambu Selvan intervened and visited the schools to inspect the situation. During his inspection, he confirmed that a large portion of the eggs stored in the kitchen was unfit for consumption. Addressing the parents’ concerns, the BDO assured them that immediate action would be taken to resolve the issue. He further pledged that such lapses would not occur in the future, leading to a compromise.

To ensure the safety of the students, Silambu Selvan ordered the immediate disposal of the spoiled eggs. Using a JCB, the eggs were buried in a pit within the school premises. Additionally, the 490 eggs designated for distribution were returned to the BDO office for further action. This incident has sparked widespread concern, emphasizing the urgent need for stricter oversight and quality control in midday meal programs to ensure the health and safety of students.

Amit Shah Slams Congress On OBC Quota & UCC, Says Congress Wants ‘Reservation For Muslims’

Amit Shah Slams Congress On OBC Quota & UCC, Says Congress Wants 'Reservation For Muslims'

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during the ongoing Parliament’s winter session in Rajya Sabha on its stance on reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBC), the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), and the Muslim Personal Law.

Union Minister Shah was replying to a debate in Rajya Sabha on 75 years of the Constitution of India when he made pointed remarks directed at the grand old party. Union Home Minister Shah in Rajya Sabha declared that the BJP would not allow reservation based on religion, regardless of its political strength. “Congress wants to give reservation to Muslims by increasing the quota limit beyond 50 per cent. Even if the BJP has just one MP, it will not allow reservation based on religion,” he affirmed.

In his speech, Home Minister Shah posed pointed questions to Congress regarding the delay in implementing the UCC, which he attributed to the introduction of Muslim Personal Law by India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. “Why hasn’t UCC come yet? It didn’t come because after the Constituent Assembly was concluded and elections were over, the country’s first PM Nehru Ji introduced Muslim Personal Law, not UCC. I want to ask the Congress party in this House that in a secular nation, should there be a common law for every religion or not? Why do they support the Muslim Personal Law? There can be no bigger political manoeuvre than this… They started appeasement right there by introducing the Muslim Personal Law,” Home Minister Shah remarked.

He continued his critique by stating, “Why wasn’t Sharia brought into criminal law? Personal law for marriage and inheritance, but why not Sharia for criminal law?” Highlighting the government’s progress, Shah referred to the implementation of the UCC in Uttarakhand, stating that it would eventually be implemented nationwide after constitutional analysis and public discussions. “We implemented UCC in Uttarakhand, we want to follow the democratic process. It will be analysed constitutionally. There will be discussions on a societal level and religious experts will opine about it,” he said.

Home Minister Shah asserted that the Modi government will look at all the suggestions and bring UCC in every state.

Shah also criticised the Congress for its contradictions regarding OBC reservation, accusing the party of blocking the Kaka Saheb Kalelkar Commission’s report, which recommended reservation for OBCs in 1995. “Where is its report? It was forgotten because OBCs would have received reservations. Any report that comes has to be presented to the Cabinet, but instead of bringing it to Parliament, they kept it in the archives,” Home Minister Shah said, adding that the report’s rejection delayed the implementation of the Mandal Commission recommendations.

The senior BJP leader responded to Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks about Veer Savarkar, stating that Savarkar had been the only person to be given a life sentence twice and asked him to consider Indira Gandhi’s praise of Savarkar on two occasions.

“If you don’t listen to us, at least listen to Indira Gandhi who has praised him in two instances,” Home Minister Shah remarked. He urged all political parties to not link “patriotism, bravery, sacrifice, and service” with religion and political ideology. The Union Home Minister did not shy away from criticising Congress’s actions in the past, including the 39th Amendment and the Emergency period.

He referenced the Allahabad High Court’s decision to declare Indira Gandhi’s election null and void in 1975. “The 49th Amendment in the Constitution crossed all the limits. August 10, 1975, was a black day. Indira Gandhi’s elections were declared null and void by the Allahabad High Court. The Amendment was used to subvert the High Court order and a retrospective amendment was brought to ensure that no judicial investigation is undertaken against the Prime Minister,” he added.

Shah also appealed to Congress to leave behind practices of “appeasement, dynastic politics, and corruption”, stating that the public will choose their leadership in the next election if they do so. On the Congress’s allegations against the EVMs, he said, “Today, they lose and blame the EVM. The SC has rejected the plea against the EVM 24 times. The EC kept the EVM from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for three days open for anyone to prove if it could be hacked. No one came… They lost Maharashtra and won in Jharkhand on the same day. The people of Maharashtra punished them for disrespecting their previous mandate. On the same day, EVM was blamed in Maharashtra and they prepared themselves for the swearing-in ceremony in Jharkhand.”

He also addressed Rahul Gandhi’s “Mohabbat ki dukaan” slogan raised during the 2022 Bharat Jodo Yatra, responding, “Love is not something to be sold in a shop, nor is it a tool for propaganda. Love is a feeling that resides in the heart and is meant to be shared with others.” On Abrogation of Article 370, Home Minister Shah remarked, “When Narendra Modi became the PM of the country again in 2019, we abrogated Article 370 and Article 35A in Parliament. In Rajya Sabha, they (Congress) used to say that rivers of blood would flow in Jammu and Kashmir, but no one dared to even throw stones… (After the abrogation of Article 370). He highlighted the progress in the Union Territory saying, “For the first time, 35,000 members of Panchayat were elected. After the abrogation of Article 370, more than two lakh tourists came to Jammu and Kashmir, terrorist activities were reduced by 92 per cent, people of Pahari, Gujjar and Bakarwal communities got reservations, the national flag is flying at Lal Chowk, the highest railway arch bridge is being built on Chenab river… After the abrogation of Article 370, your (Congress) shop of appeasement politics has closed.”

INDI Ally VCK MP Thol Thirumavalavan Glorifies Islamist Terrorist SA Basha Who Masterminded Coimbatore Blasts, Had Justified Hamas And Hezbollah In The Past

INDI Ally VCK MP Thol Thirumavalavan Glorifies Islamist Terrorist SA Basha Who Masterminded Coimbatore Blasts, Had Justified Hamas And Hezbollah In The Past

Following the death of SA Basha, the mastermind behind the 1998 Coimbatore serial bomb blasts, on 16 December 2024, Dravidian political parties have been praising him in an attempt to appease Muslim fundamentalists.

Basha, who founded the terror group Al-Ummah, was responsible for the Coimbatore blasts in 1998 that claimed 58 lives and injured 231 others. Some political leaders like Seeman of Naam Tamilar Katchi are now portraying a convicted terrorist as if he was a rebel and freedom fighter, setting a dangerous precedent in the state.

In this context, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) leader Thirumavalavan, through his official X account, not only lauded SA Basha but also depicted him as a freedom fighter who fought for a cause and represented a loss to the community.

He wrote, “Kovai Basha has lost his life after being in prison for more than a quarter of a century. Not only him, but also some of his relatives including his son Siddique were imprisoned and lost their lives. Even when his family was imprisoned to protect the interests of Muslims, he did not lose heart and lived with determination without wavering in his principles. It is sad that he died as a prisoner. However, it has become a history. His demise is a great loss for Muslims. Many leading comrades including Deputy General Secretary Vanni Arasu participated in his last rites on behalf of the party and paid him a heroic tribute. Salute to Kovai_Pasha” He added

This is not the first time that Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) chief Thirumavalavan, an ally of the ruling DMK, has praised or defended terrorist organizations, equating them to social activists fighting for a cause. In the past, he has expressed support for the international terrorist group Hamas. He has also likened groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis as freedom fighters resorting to armed struggle in self-defense. Additionally, he has referred to the LTTE, a declared terrorist organization, as legitimate, claiming they fought in a democratic way. Some of his previous speeches reinforce these views.

On October 2024, speaking at the demonstration, VCK chief Thirumavalavan promoted the “sons of the soil” theory, suggesting it contributed to the rise of militancy as a form of self-defense. Thirumavalavan argued that, in an effort to reclaim their homeland, displaced Palestinians formed various groups, including militant organizations, similar to the LTTE. They began to protest and formed the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) under Yasser Arafat as a freedom fighting organization, he said. He added that groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis were formed in response to the Israel’s violent actions, to defend themselves.

Thirumavalavan said, “Generally they will say it as a terrorist organization, militant organization, then why was LTTE formed? Even after 25 years of struggle under the leadership of Selva in democratic way, the Sinhalese did not accept their demand. As there was need to speak in their language, armed groups appeared. Then what will the neighboring Islamic countries do without helping them? It will help them.”

He stated that initially, Palestinians ceded 40-45% of their land, but now Israel has taken over 90%, leaving only a small portion in the West Bank and Gaza. He then posed a question to the audience, “Now tell me, on whose side should we stand? Can you support Israel or the Jewish group that have driven out the Palestinians and occupied their land?”

Without delivering justice to the Palestinians, you cannot dismantle organizations like HAMAS and Hezbollah. We must always stand on the side of the victims in this situation, he said.

Thirumavalavan also compared north Indians residing in Sowcarpet, Chennai to Israelis and other Dalit residents of North Chennai to Palestinians.

What did the Jews do? They (Palestinians) gave them a piece of land and asked to stay within that. If we ask him (Marwaris) to stay within Sowcarpet, he should stay there.  What will happen if they expand to other areas like Anna Nagar and encroach entire Chennai? The Dalits, poor and the marginalized, those who stay on the banks of Cooum River are being shifted to Ottiyambakkam, Thoraipakkam, Semmenchery. This is called displacement. The natives of Chennai were shifted away to 40-50 kms saying that you’re being affected because of rains and floods. This is being done by the government itself. What happened there (Israel) was, as he (Jews) came, these people (Palestinians) had to flee. They attacked. Thousands of them were killed.“, he said.

Previously on 31 October 2023, a similar stance was taken by VCK chief Thirumavalavan on a protest organized by the Federation of All Muslim Organisations and Political Parties condemned Israel’s attacks on Palestine. Over 3,000 members and leaders from these organizations gathered near Rajarathinam Stadium in Egmore, Chennai. They accused Israel of “encroaching upon Palestine” with support from the US, UK, and other nations, highlighting ongoing Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people. The leaders also criticized India’s decision to abstain from voting on a UN resolution calling for a ceasefire.

The demonstration was led by Federation President P.A. Kaja Mohideen Baqavi. Prominent figures, including ManithaNeya Makkal Katchi President M.H. Jawahirullah, SDPI leader Nellai Mubarak, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thol Thirumavalavan, CPM State Secretary K. Balakrishnan, and representatives from various political parties, also participated in the event.

Thirumavalavan spoke in an inflammatory fashion and supported Hamas in this war. Here is a transcript of his speech. “Israel is carrying out a brutal war of aggression. Israel must stop this war. The nations across the world, democratic countries are voicing their support for Israel to stop this brutality against the Palestinians.”

Resolution Against India Abstaining From Voting Against Israel

He said, “Recently at the UN Assembly, Jordan proposed a resolution, and 120 nations voted in favour of it. 14 nations voted against it. 45 countries including India abstained from voting. Even if we count the countries that abstained and those who voted against the resolution, it is only 60 countries. But those who supported the resolution make up 120 countries. The world makes us realise the truth. That the war carried out by Israel on Palestine and the Gaza Strip is unjust, cruel, and terrible and this war needs to stop immediately. This is the voice of the world, the voice of all the democratic nations of the world. As a means to support that voice, today we have congregated here in the thousands.” He added, “When asked why we abstained from voting, they said that in the Jordan Resolution, there is no mention of Hamas, they have not spoken about the attack they carried out. So we abstained, said Yojana Patel, the Indian representative.”

Called Israel An Occupier Nation

He called Israel an occupier nation and said, “Israel has occupied Palestine, that is the historical truth. They were chased out of Germany and several other European countries. They entered Palestine with banners saying Germans stabbed us, don’t destroy our hope. The same people are the ones who created Israel and terrorising and suppressing people, they are the Jews.

He added, “Keeping aside the history of why they were chased out of Germany, the Jewish race is one which has only developed enmity with most of the countries in the world. Israel is not their ancestral land. Israel is not their motherland. With the help of superpowers like America, they occupied territory and created a country of their own and are killing and bringing about the genocide of the same Palestinians who gave them refuge.”

Comparing The Eelam War With That Of Palestine

Thirumavalavan compared the Srilankan Tamil issue with that of the Palestinians. He said, “Even in Eelam, the Singhalese are not the natives of that land. They went from India. But history has been hidden from all. They caused the genocide and massacre of the natives of that land, the Tamils. It continues to this day. The same thing has happened here (Palestine).”

He added, “In 2001, I attended a conference in Durban in South Africa. It was about opposing apartheid. Several Palestinians came there with banners. Even though I do not understand their language, I would stand with the Palestinians during their protests. I came across a flyer that was in English. They constantly spoke for freeing their land and requested the countries of the world to support them. Yasser Arafat, the leader of the Palestinian Liberation Movement would conduct exile Parliament and stress on these requests, same like how Eelam Tamils are having one.”

Hamas – A “Defence Force”

He called Hamas a defence force. He said, “We know that Hamas emerged as a contradictory movement of the Palestinian Liberation Movement. But that movement is the only one that protects the Palestinians. It is not a war-frenzy movement. It is not an occupier-frenzy movement. It is not a movement that hates other races. It did not start an attack on Israel unjustly. Hamas is a defence force that is there to protect Palestinians and Palestine’s land. It is being called a terrorist organisation and extremist organisation by the Sanathana forces in the United Nations Assembly.”

Justifying The Creation Of Hamas

Thirumavalavan also justified the reason for the creation of Hamas. He said, “What is the reason for the emergence of Hamas? Which country has been aggressed against/occupied by Hamas? On 7 October 2023, they carried out rocket strikes. It is not a war of aggression. It is a war against aggression. Shouldn’t India realize this? Shouldn’t America realise this? Is the attack carried out by Hamas a terror attack? or is the attack carried out by Israel a terror attack? Did the Palestinians occupy the Jewish nation or did the Jews occupy the Palestinian nation? Shouldn’t we know the answer to this question? It is a fact that the world knows. It is a historical fact that the Jews occupied the Palestinian nation.”

He also added, “Israel is an occupier nation created by the Jews with the support of America. Who is carrying out the terror attack here? Weren’t the Palestinians the ones who helped them when they came to Palestine raising their banners? Who is carrying out such a terrible attack with cluster bombs and phosphorus against the Palestinians who welcomed them? We are not gathered here on the basis of religion. We are united asking for justice. We are here to question the conscience of the countries of the world. Whenever there is a war between Israel and Palestine, America always comes forward to support Israel blindly.”

Condemning India’s Stand On The War

He called India’s stand on the war something that was influenced by “Sanathana forces”. He said, “Today, our Indian nation has become a subordinate of America and has come forward to support Israel blindly. They support America’s stand. Indian politics is based on justice but it is supporting injustice. It is supporting Jews who are an occupier nation. It is against the Palestinians who are the sons of the soil (natives). The BJP government is looking at the Palestinians as Muslims alone. It is not looking at the justice on their side. We want to accuse the BJP, RSS’s Muslim hatred politics has made us take a stand against the Palestinians. They are not looking at this problem, this problem between Hamas and Israel as a fight between occupiers and natives. Should the Palestinian people come back to Palestine or not? Should they not condemn the actions of Israel which is preventing Palestinians from returning?”

Gaza – Comparison With Chennai

Thirumavalavan compared Gaza to Chennai and complained about how Israel was torturing the citizens. He said, “Gaza which is under the control of Hamas is a small strip of land that is 10km wide and 41km long. 25 lakh people are living in a place which is not even a fifth of Chennai’s land area. More than 1 crore people live in Chennai. For the past 25 days, Israel has been carrying out brutal attacks via air and land. Countries like America and India are watching the spectacle. Where will this lead to? Even if these people think, let the people of Palestine find a solution to the problem, even then the Palestinians will win. If America does not intervene, if their supporters do not intervene, if their army doesn’t go, if they do not help with their weapons, if they do not help financially, Hamas will win and take over Israel.”

He also added, “In the name of destroying LTTE, India, and America supported the Sinhalese and took a stand against the Tamils. In the same way, they named Hamas a terrorist organisation, and in the name of destroying Hamas, they are killing innocent Palestinians. Dead bodies are being transported in containers. They are burying dead bodies en masse. Reports indicate that 50000 pregnant women are unsafe and in dangerous conditions. They cut off the electricity, oil, and water. This is not just a war against terrorism, it is a genocide.”

He called for a gathering, a show of support similar to the gathering of numerous people in Kerala to express support for Palestine. He said even in Tamil Nadu, millions of people stand in opposition to Israel’s brutal war, and that this conflict needed to be halted promptly. He condemned India’s stance and that it must be altered, and efforts will be made to exert pressure on India to raise its voice against the continuation of the war.

PMK President Anbumani Ramadoss Criticizes DMK Govt Over Filing False Complaint Against Ashok Srinidhi

PMK President Anbumani Ramadoss Criticizes DMK Govt Over Filing False Complaint Against Ashok Srinidhi

Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) president Anbumani Ramadoss has strongly criticized the ruling DMK government for allegedly filing a false complaint against Ashok Srinidhi, a former executive of PMK, who exposed a major fraud worth over ₹2,000 crore committed by the company My V3 Ads across Tamil Nadu.

In a statement on his official X account, Anbumani Ramadoss condemned the Coimbatore Police for registering a case against Srinidhi, who had raised concerns about the fraudulent activities of My V3 Ads. Ramadoss questioned whether the Dravidian model government’s policy was to protect fraudsters and intimidate those who expose fraudsters. He stated, “It is condemnable that the Coimbatore Police have filed a case against Ashok Srinidhi, former district secretary of Patali Makkal Katchi, for exposing the fraud of over ₹2000 crore by My V3 Ads from people across Tamil Nadu. The government should explain whether this is the policy of the Dravidian model to file false cases against those who expose fraudsters while failing to arrest those who embezzle public money?”

“Ashok Srinidhi, who served as the district secretary of the Patali Makkal Katchi, has raised his voice against various injustices. He held several protests to expose the fraud committed by a Coimbatore-based company called My V3 Ads, which had collected more than ₹2000 crore from the public. As a result, a case has been registered against Shakthi Anandan and others of My V3 Ads, but has not been arrested yet. While Ashok Srinidhi who had been insisting on his arrest, a case has been registered against him for allegedly preventing a female assistant inspector of the Cyber Crime Unit from working. This is a blatant false case, there is no doubt about that.” He added

Ramadoss further pointed out the harassment and threats Srinidhi faced from My V3 Ads, including death threats to him and his family, and even disrespectful remarks about his mother. Ramadoss criticized the authorities for failing to act against those who threatened Srinidhi and attempted to kill him but instead choosing to file a false case against him. He stated, “Since the day Ashok Srinidhi started his fight against My V3 Ads, the company has been pressuring him in various ways. One of such threats was a person who spoke on YouTube not only threatened to kill Ashok Srinidhi and his family, but also disrespected his mother and others. He has filed a complaint in this regard at the Coimbatore Cyber Crime Police Station. However, after several weeks, no action has been taken against him, and he went to the police station only after being called for an investigation. There, he asked why no action has been taken on his complaint. A case has been registered for this, saying that he prevented a female assistant inspector of the Cyber Crime Police Station from working. After exposing the fraud of My V3 Ads, Ashok received continuous threats. At one point, there were attempts to kill him in broad daylight. But the police did not even take action against those who tried to kill him. On the contrary, if the police are filing a false case against him who is fighting for the welfare of the people, then the Tamil Nadu government and the police should explain whose interests the police are protecting?”

“No action has been taken against the owner of the fraudulent My V3 Ads company; no action has been taken against those who tried to assassinate Ashok Srinidhi; no action has been taken against those who threatened to kill Ashok Srinidhi and his family and defamed the women in his family. But a false case has been registered against Ashok Srinidhi for questioning it. The rulers should explain to the people of Tamil Nadu that, is it the policy of the Dravidian model government to protect those who have committed fraud and to register false cases against those who speak out for the people? It is unacceptable to use the police, or one of its officers, as a tool to protect a fraudulent company. It is painful that the situation of the Tamil Nadu Police has deteriorated to this extent. Protecting a fraudulent company by the government, which is supposed to protect the people, is a grave crime. The police should immediately stop aiding criminals. The Coimbatore Police should immediately withdraw the case against Ashok Srinidhi and arrest all those involved based on the complaint filed by him.”, Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss said.

Nearly 11.6 Lakh Women Now Directors At Public, Private Firms In India: Centre

Nearly 11.6 Lakh Women Now Directors At Public, Private Firms In India: Centre

The government informed the Parliament on Tuesday that nearly 11.6 lakh women directors are currently associated with public and private companies in the country. The government continues to encourage women’s participation in decision-making at various levels in enterprises across the spectrum.

Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Harsh Malhotra told the Rajya Sabha in a written reply that while 11,11,040 women are directors in private companies (including OPCs), 46,939 are associated with unlisted public companies and 8,672 with listed public companies.

The MCA has included several provisions in the Companies Act, 2013, to boost women’s participation at top levels in companies, like making it mandatory for prescribed classes of companies to have at least one woman director.

Also, every listed company and every other public company having paid-up share capital of Rs 100 crore or more or having a turnover of Rs 300 crore or more is required to appoint at least one woman director. Suppose a company defaults in complying with this provision of the Act. In that case, the company and every officer who is in default is liable for a penalty provided under section 172 of the Companies Act, 2013, according to the ministry.

The total number of companies registered during the current fiscal year (FY25) stands at 1,12,962 (as of November 30). Meanwhile, the government has made six amendments to the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (IBC), to strengthen the process of insolvency resolution and ensure proper implementation of the provisions of the IBC.

According to Malhotra, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India has made more than 100 amendments in regulations since the inception of IBC based on the needs of the market to streamline processes and maximise the value of the corporate debtor’s assets.

IBC provides a consolidated framework for reorganisation, insolvency resolution and liquidation of corporate persons, except financial service providers (FSPs).

However, Section 227 of the IBC enables the central government to notify FSPs and categories of FSPs for insolvency and liquidation proceedings.

“DMK Has Turned Tamil Nadu Into A ‘Lawless Jungle'” – BJP TN Chief Annamalai Slams DMK Govt After Activist’s Brutal Knife Attack

DMK Has Turned Tamil Nadu Into A Lawless Jungle, BJP TN Chief Annamalai Slams DMK Govt After Brutal Knife Attack On Activist

Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai has strongly criticized the ruling DMK government, claiming that under its leadership, the common man in the state has no freedom to report unlawful activities in their locality. He accused DMK members of being involved in a wide range of illegal activities, from drug trafficking to the illegal sale of alcohol, contributing to a state of lawlessness and hooliganism.

Annamalai’s comments came in the wake of a disturbing incident in Namakkal, where a local citizen was allegedly attacked with a knife for reporting the illegal sale of liquor in his area. The attackers are reportedly associated with the DMK and are closely linked to the Pallipalayam DMK Chairman, Selvaraj.

In a post on social media platform X, Annamalai condemned the actions of the DMK government and its cadres, stating, In Tamil Nadu, under the DMK Government, the common man has no right to complain about the lawlessness and hooliganism in the State. Those in DMK are involved in all sorts of unlawful activity, from international drug smuggling to selling liquor illegally. A responsible citizen in Namakkal district in TN was brutally attacked for complaining to the police department about the sale of illegal liquor. The attack, reportedly ordered by Pallipalayam DMK Chairman Selvaraj, is a stark reminder of the injustice that has become all too common in TN. Over the past 4 years, the DMK has transformed our once peaceful state into a lawless jungle. However, staying far from reality, TN CM Thiru @mkstalin will be writing an appreciation letter to himself about how the people of TN praise his good governance.

The victim of the attack, who sustained serious injuries, shared the details of the assault stating, “There is a public toilet on the way to Periyar Nagar. I parked my car to use the toilet. One Michael of Avarangadu and the other person’s name is Kuyil. Both of them was there. They hacked me and asked if I cannot keep quiet. They asked how long will you keep working against us. They abused me using cuss words and I retaliated and asked what the problem was. they asked why I am writing petitions to the district SP to shut down the illegal liquor shop. I said I will write petitions to anyone. What was their problem? while I was talking, they started beating me up. I hit them back and the four people started attacking me, I fell down. When I was about to stand when they took out a knife and stabbed my head, blood started gushing out of my head. I couldn’t do anything, and I sat on the floor. People around me cried for help, the preparator’s flew from there. They threatened to kill me if I continue to create issues for Chairman Selvaraj.” He added, “The attackers said I shouldn’t write petitions and said they would go to any extent for the sake of their boss. “

The victim explained further, detailing his efforts to report the illegal liquor shops, “On 26 October 2024, I wrote a petition to Palliplayam SI to take action against the illegal liquor shops, but no action was taken. On 30 November 2024, I did a road roko and for that to no action was taken. On 11 December 2024, I went to the SP office to file a petition, he was not available, so I gave the petition to the registrar and came.

The victim was later helped by two individuals, Sakthi and Singh, who drove him to the Erode Government Hospital for treatment.

CM Yogi’s Jibe At Priyanka Over ‘Palestine’ Bag, Says ‘UP Has Sent Over 5,500 Youth To Israel’

CM Yogi's Jibe At Priyanka Over 'Palestine' Bag, Says 'UP Has Sent Over 5,500 Youth To Israel'

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday took a potshot at Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra over her symbolic support for Palestine using a bag. He sought to shed light on how Israel ranked higher in priority for his government and the Centre and also how this “association” was yielding better gains for the state’s youth.

“A Congress leader goes to show off her bag with ‘Palestine’ emblazoned on it while the government has already sent more than 5,500 youths from Uttar Pradesh to Israel who are engaged in infrastructure projects there and earning handsome wages in return,” Chief Minister said, addressing the House on the second day of UP Assembly’s winter session.

He said that youths from the state are living happily and in a secure environment they are also earning more than 1.5 lakh per month. “Whatever they send back contributes to the state’s economy and interestingly, there has been increasing demand from Israel as the UP youths have made their mark with hard work,” he added.

CM Yogi’s taunt on Priyanka comes in the wake of criticism that the Congress MP invited after she carried a bag flaunting Palestine tag. Many BJP leaders rebuked the Congress lawmaker over her Monday’s gesture and called it “crass communal posturing”.

As Priyanka’s gesture for extending support to Palestine with her handbag stoked a major row, she also hit back at critics. “Who is going to decide what clothes I wear now? Who is going to decide that? That’s typical patriarchy that you decide what women wear also. I don’t subscribe to that. I will wear what I want,” she told the newspersons.

Notably, the bag that Wayanad MP carried to Parliament on Monday had ‘Palestine’ emblazoned on it. It also featured a watermelon, symbol signifying support to the war-torn nation. Notably, the Congress General Secretary has been vociferous over Israel’s military offensive against Palestine, which followed after dastardly terror attacks by Hamas in October last year.

“Will Mobilize People, Load Biomedical Waste And Dump It Back In Kerala”: BJP TN Head Annamalai Warns Pinarayi And Stalin Govt

Will Mobilize People, Load Biomedical Waste And Dump It Back In Kerala: BJP TN Head Annamalai Warns Pinarayi And Stalin Govt

In light of Kerala dumping illegal medical waste in border villages of Tamil Nadu, Bharatiya Janata Party state President K Annamalai slammed the ruling DMK government for its inefficiency.

Taking to social media platform X, he wrote, Chief Minister @mkstalin, who is ceding Tamil Nadu’s rights, including Cauvery water, to states ruled by his coalition parties, has allowed the border districts of Kerala, Kanyakumari, Tenkasi, and Tirunelveli, to be turned into a garbage dump for the Communist government of Kerala. While the DMK government is in league with the Communist government of Kerala, our southern districts have been turned into a dumping ground for the state’s biomedical, plastic, and meat waste. The check posts that were supposed to stop this waste, which is brought in by trucks every day, have become mere collection centers. On the one hand, the DMK government seems to be turning a blind eye to the illegal smuggling of minerals from Tenkasi and Kanyakumari districts to Kerala, and on the other hand, it has given free rein to use Tamil Nadu as a garbage dump. Despite repeated complaints to the authorities and the Chief Minister’s Special Cell, no action has been taken to stop this. This is happening with the full knowledge of the DMK government. The DMK government should immediately stop the conversion of Tamil Nadu border districts into a garbage dump for the state of Kerala. If similar incidents continue, in the first week of January 2025, we will mobilize the public, load this biomedical waste and garbage into trucks and dump it in Kerala. I inform the DMK government that I will also go in the first truck.”

Large volumes of biomedical, food, and plastic waste, reportedly from Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) and Credence Private Hospital, were found dumped across multiple Kodaganallur and Palavoor villages. The waste included hazardous biomedical materials, such as used syringes and PPE kits, discarded on patta lands and waterbodies, causing significant health and environmental concerns.

As reported by TNIE, the dumping, which has been ongoing for several months, allegedly occurs during the night, making it difficult to apprehend those responsible. Trucks believed to be transporting loads for a nearby paper mill are suspected of bringing in the waste. Despite complaints by affected landowners, authorities have taken little action, and the issue remains unresolved.

Medical records containing sensitive personal information of cancer patients treated at the RCC were also found among the waste. Documents included patient names, addresses, treatment details, diagnoses, and dietary plans. Several of these records appeared to be recent, with dates from November 2024. The discovery of such documents not only highlights improper waste disposal practices but also raises concerns about a serious data breach.

The illegal dumping has had a direct impact on the local environment and livelihoods. Contaminated water sources near the dumping sites have led to health issues among livestock, including cattle and goats. Local farmers and residents are increasingly concerned about the long-term effects of biomedical waste exposure on their health and the surrounding ecosystem.

The issue has been brought to the attention of various authorities, including the Suthamalli police and the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Special Cell. Complaints were filed over a month ago, but no case has been registered to date. Residents have alleged negligence on the part of both the police and revenue officials, as neither group has visited the affected sites despite repeated requests.
