“We’re Now Fighting BJP, RSS, And The Indian State Itself”: Rahul Gandhi Speaks Like A Terrorist At Congress Party’s New HQ Launch

We're Now Fighting BJP, RSS, And The Indian State Itself: Rahul Gandhi Speaks Like A Terrorist At Congress Party's New HQ Launch

Rahul Gandhi during his speech at the inauguration of the Congress party’s new headquarters in Delhi said that he and his party are not just fighting the BJP and the RSS politically but are fighting the Indian state itself.

“I would like to say one last thing. Do not think that we’re fighting a fair fight. There is not fairness in this. If you believe, that we’re fighting a political organization called the BJP, that we’re fighting a political organization called the RSS, you’ve not understood what is going on. The BJP and the RSS have captured every single institution of our country. We’re now fighting the BJP, RSS and the Indian state itself.”, Rahul Gandhi said.

This is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi has made such treasonous remarks.

Speaking during a press conference in Tamil Nadu as part of his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in September 2022, Gandhi declared, “We are no longer fighting a political party. It is now a battle between the structure of the Indian state and the opposition.

Gandhi accused the BJP of monopolizing the country’s institutions, alleging that it has placed loyalists in key positions to exert influence and control. “The BJP has taken over all institutions—CBI, ED, Income Tax Department—and uses them to pressure opponents. The fight used to be against a political party; now, it’s against the very machinery of the state,” he stated.

In August 2022, following Enforcement Directorate (ED) actions against him in the National Herald money laundering case, he accused the government of undermining democracy, stifling dissent, and misusing institutions. He also alleged that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had infiltrated key democratic structures, framing the Congress as battling against systemic oppression.

While speaking at ‘The Conclave 2023’ organised by Pratidin Media Network in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi had said that he and his party are fighting against the Indian Sate.

Go and ask any businessman in India what happens to them if they support an opposition party. If they were to write a cheque for any opposition party, ask them what happens to them. We are not fighting now a political party, we are fighting the Indian state…”, Rahul Gandhi said.

“Power Bill Down From ₹4000-₹5000 In Summer To ₹1000 To ₹1200”: PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana Beneficiaries In MP Express Gratitude

PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana Beneficiaries In MP Express Gratitude

PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the world’s largest domestic rooftop solar initiative, is transforming India’s energy landscape with the supply of solar power to lakhs of households and aims to reach one crore households by March 2027.

Lakhs of families are drawing benefits of the scheme across the country. The residents of MP’s Damoh are a case in point. Many beneficiaries of the PM-Surya Ghar Yojana in Damoh, particularly from the lower-and-middle class families are happy with the scheme and showering praise on the Modi government. Sachin Soni, a resident of Indra Colony, said that the main objective of this scheme is to promote solar energy so that every poor person has light in his house.

“Those who are fed up with huge electricity bills, should avail the benefits of this scheme. This is no less than a boon for such families. I also got solar panels installed 6 months ago,” he said.

“About 2-3 units of electricity are made available every day. At an investment of Rs 2 lakh, 3 kilowatt solar panel was installed on the roof of the house. Within just 60 days of its installation, Rs 78,000 subsidy is received,” Soni added.

Elaborating on the benefits, he said, “During Summers, my electricity bill used to be around Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 every month but ever since solar panels have been installed, my electricity bill has come down to only Rs 500 to 800.” “I also use my room’s AC, fridge, induction, water motor, clothes washing machine and water heating rod. The maintenance cost is nothing. Sometimes water has to be poured on the panels to remove the dust accumulated on the panels,” he further stated.

Another beneficiary Sanjay Ratle said that he got solar panels installed on his roof under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Sharing his experience, he said, “There is a lot of difference in our electricity consumption. I installed 3 kilowatt solar panel. Its price is around Rs 2 lakh and subsidy is also given; Rs 78,000 comes to your account within about 2-3 months.”

“It’s been almost a year since I got it installed. I installed it in January 2024 and after looking at the bills for one year, I found that our electricity bill which used to be Rs 4,000 to 5,000 in summer, has come down to Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,200 this time,” he shared. Advising fellow residents to install solar panels, he said, “Your electricity bills will reduce significantly and the expenditure of Rs 2 lakh will be covered in the coming 2-3 years, out of which the central government gives a subsidy of Rs 78,000. They give free maintenance for about 20 to 25 years. If there is any kind of damage in it, then this company also promises to repair it.”

Centre Gives Nod To ED To Prosecute Arvind Kejriwal And Manish Sisodia In Delhi Liquor Scam For Money Laundering

SC Grants Bail To CM Kejriwal In Delhi Liquor Scam Case

Centre has given the Enforcement Directorate (ED) the go-ahead to prosecute Aam Adami Party convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case linked to a liquor scam. The Centre has also okayed the agency’s prosecution push in the case against senior AAP leader and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.

Sources said the Union Home Ministry has granted permission to the ED to prosecute Kejriwal under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) for alleged money laundering connected to the 2021-22 liquor scam case.

The then-AAP government led by Kejriwal later scrapped the policy. The move comes after the Supreme Court ruled in November 2024 that the ED also has to obtain prior sanction like the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for prosecution under section 197 (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code (now section 218 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita) in money laundering cases.

A special PMLA court in Delhi paused the framing of charges against Kejriwal after he moved the Delhi High Court, challenging the trial court to take cognisance of the charge sheet in the absence of a specific sanction for prosecution under PMLA. Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena last month gave the nod to the agency to prosecute Kejriwal.

The CBI, which has filed a charge sheet under the Prevention of Corruption Act, got the requisite sanction in August 2024 in its parallel corruption case related to the excise policy.

The ED arrested Kejriwal, who is out on bail and named him in a charge sheet claiming that bribes were taken for favouring certain liquor traders for AAP’s Goa election campaign.

The probe agency had said that Kejriwal was ultimately responsible for funds being used and generated as the national convenor and member of AAP’s national executive.

Sisodia, who was the Excise Minister when the policy was framed, was also arrested in the money laundering case. Kejriwal and AAP have been accused of receiving bribes from the ‘South Group’, a cartel that controlled the sale and distribution of liquor in the national capital and allegedly benefitted from the excise policy framed by the Delhi government for 2021-22.

Both Kejriwal and Sisodia are currently out on bail. They have trashed the charges against them and have accused the BJP of using probe agencies to harass political rivals The two leaders are now campaigning for the February 5 election in the national capital. Kejriwal has said he would be filing his nomination on Wednesday from the New Delhi constituency.

IAF Carries Out High-Precision Rescue Operation From Volcanic Narcondam Island In The Andamans

IAF Carries Out High-Precision Rescue Operation From Volcanic Narcondam Island In The Andamans

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has carried out an emergency high-precision rescue operation from the remote and volcanic Narcondam Island in the Andamans, a Ministry of Defence (MoD) spokesperson in Kolkata said.

A Mi-17 medium-lift helicopter carried out an extremely low hover to rescue two critically injured policemen, he said.

Narcondam, located about 256 km to the northeast of Port Blair (now Vijayanagaram) is India’s easternmost island. It has an area of 7.6 square km with a volcanic peak rising to 710 metres.

The Geological Survey of India has designated the peak as a dormant volcano. In 2005, a year after the tsunami that caused severe devastation in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, there were reports of smoke and mud escaping the peak. The island is also a designated UNESCO heritage site.

“There is no place where a helicopter can land at Narcondam. The skills of the aircrew were tested to the full as they carried out the extremely low hover. Half of the helicopter was above the rocks exposed during low tide and the other half was above the sea. The two injured policemen were carried on stretchers to the helicopter. Given the conditions, it was not possible to winch the stretchers up to the aircraft while it hovered higher,” the MoD spokesperson added.

Narcondam, with pristine seas and coral reefs, is a scuba divers’ paradise. The island is also heavily forested and attracts nature lovers interested in the Narcondam Hornbill and other fauna and flora.

However, with a population of barely 16 (as per 2016 records), the island offers no accommodation to visitors. There are regular ferry services from Diglipur though.

A police station does exist on the island, though, to prevent illegal infiltration. The island was claimed by Myanmar till 1986. Myanmar gave up its claim after delimitation of the maritime boundary between the two nations. A lighthouse also exists on the slopes of Narcondam.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MeitY) has integrated its AI-driven language translation tool — Bhashini — at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj being held from January 13 to February 26, to boost accessibility in 11 languages.

The Ministry noted that Bhashini’s language translation ecosystem will help those attending the world’s biggest spiritual conglomeration through the ‘Digital Lost & Found Solution’.

People can register lost/found items using voice in native languages; and also use the platform to make real-time text/voice translation for easy communication at the mega event. It also provides multilingual chatbot assistance for queries and kiosk navigation.

Devotees can use the mobile app for translating guidelines into local languages; as well as get seamless communication with police officials. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also launched the Kumbh Sah’AI’yak chatbot — an AI-powered, multilingual, voice-enabled chatbot designed to assist millions of visitors during Mahakumbh 2025.

The bot, powered by cutting-edge AI technologies (such as Llama LLM), is aimed at providing seamless, real-time information and navigation assistance to all. Supported by Bhashini’s language translation, the chatbot is in 11 languages, including Hindi, English, and nine other Indian languages.

Further, the Bhashini mobile application’s Converse feature aims to facilitate seamless communication for the devotees with the unit of UP Police’s 112 emergency helpline deployed at the mega event.

The Uttar Pradesh Police Department has collaborated with the Bhashini App to train field officers to utilise the Converse feature in the app to understand the grievances of the distressed devotees seeking help in case of a language barrier.

“Bhashini, thus, aims to greatly enhance the experience for visitors at MahaKumbh 2025 with multilingual support for queries and navigation. Bhashini’s language translation ecosystem has ensured a smooth and inclusive experience for all attendees, reflecting MeitY’s commitment to technological innovation and accessibility,” the ministry said.

GenAI Adoption Projected To Transform Nearly 3.8 Crore Jobs In India By 2030

GenAI Adoption Projected To Transform Nearly 3.8 Crore Jobs In India By 2030

A report said on Tuesday that the adoption of Generative AI (GenAI) is projected to transform at least 38 million (3.8 crore) jobs in India by 2030, driving a 2.61 percent productivity boost to the economy through gains in the organised sector and an additional 2.82 percent with the adoption of GenAI by the unorganised sector.

At least 24 per cent of tasks across industries have the potential for full automation, while another 42 per cent can be enhanced through AI, freeing up between 8-10 hours per week for knowledge workers,” according to the EY India report. GenAI is poised to transform every job, unlocking immense potential for productivity and economic gains.

“This revolution will fundamentally reshape jobs, driving productivity and innovation. Building talent pipelines and prioritising upskilling must be at the forefront of every organisation,” said Rajiv Memani, Chairman and CEO, EY India.

He added that by fostering public-private collaborations and investing in talent development, India can also become a global hub for AI-skilled talent. The report stated that at an industry level, the largest productivity gains are expected in the services sector due to its higher labour share to gross output, while manufacturing and construction will see a smaller impact.

While the promise of AI is vast, the survey reveals that adoption is still in its early stages. Only 15 per cent of surveyed enterprises have implemented GenAI in production, with 34 per cent having completed proof of concepts (POCs) and 11 per cent working on productionalising successful POCs. Enterprises in India are also at different stages of data readiness.

Only 3 per cent of surveyed enterprises report being fully ready, with 23 per cent reporting that they’re in no state of data readiness to take up AI deployments, the report mentioned.

The analysis of over 10,000 tasks across industries showed varying productivity gains across sectors. Among the business processes to see the most impact is call centre management, which is likely to witness an 80 per cent productivity enhancement, and software development with a potential for 61 per cent growth in productivity.

This is followed by content development and distribution with 45 per cent, customer services at 44 per cent, and sales and marketing at 41 per cent. “Productivity boost in IT/ITeS is expected to be around 19 per cent, followed by healthcare at 13 per cent and banking/insurance at 8-9 per cent,” the report noted.

Meta To Get Parliamentary Panel Summon Over Zuckerberg’s Remarks On 2024 Lok Sabha Polls

Meta apologised to India for Zuckerberg’s remarks on the 2024 Elections, saying they were an "inadvertent error" on his part.

Social media behemoth Meta is set to be summoned by a Parliamentary panel over “incorrect and irresponsible” remarks by its founder Mark Zuckerberg on the 2024 General Elections in India.

The information was shared by Nishikant Dubey, BJP MP and the chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Communications and Information Technology on X. The BJP MP said that the Parliamentary panel under him will soon serve a notice to the Meta for “spreading misinformation” and seek an apology.

Taking note of Zuckerberg’s objectionable remarks, Nishikant Dubey said, “Misinformation in any democratic country tarnishes its image. The organisation will have to apologise to the Indian Parliament and the people for this mistake.” Zuckerberg, in a recent podcast, claimed that most of the incumbent governments across the democracies saw the erosion of public trust during the COVID-19 pandemic and this eventually led to their ouster in the 2024 elections.

Mark Zuckerberg speaking to podcaster Joe Rogan, said, “2024 was a very big election year around the world and all these countries, India, had elections. The incumbents basically lost every single one. There is some sort of a global phenomenon – whether it was because of inflation or because of the economic policies to deal with Covid or just how the governments dealt with Covid. It seems to have had this effect that’s global – not just the US but for many incumbents in other countries,” he said in the podcast.

Zuckerberg’s generalised statement on the 2024 elections invited a quick counter from Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw who termed it “factually incorrect”. While fact-checking his statements, the Union Minister said that last year’s elections in India were rather a reaffirmation of people’s trust in PM Modi-led NDA for a record third time.

“PM Modi’s decisive 3rd-term victory is a testament to good governance and public trust,” he added. He also dropped a piece of advice for the Meta and its chief, urging them to uphold the facts and truth. “Meta, it’s disappointing to see misinformation from Mr. Zuckerberg himself. Let’s uphold facts and credibility,” he wrote.

Anna University’s Ghost Faculty Crackdown: Over 2,000 Educators Face Disciplinary Action, Over 30 Engg Colleges Face De-Affiliation

Anna University’s Ghost Faculty Crackdown: Over 2,000 Educators Face Disciplinary Action, Over 30 Engg Colleges Face De-Affiliation

Anna University is set to ban over 2,000 faculty members from engineering colleges for falsifying their credentials and holding positions in multiple institutions for one to ten years. Additionally, the university plans to revoke affiliations of more than 30 engineering colleges implicated in these practices, according to a source.

Engineering colleges are required by AICTE norms to maintain a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:20. However, to cut costs, many institutions allegedly listed fake faculty members. Arappor Iyakkam, an anti-corruption organization, uncovered that 353 faculty members were employed at multiple colleges during the 2023-24 academic year. Investigators found that these individuals and the colleges involved used falsified Aadhaar numbers to facilitate employment across several institutions.

An internal investigation by the university for the 2024-25 academic year revealed over 2,000 cases of fake faculty appointments, with one individual employed by as many as 32 colleges. Consequently, the university issued notices to over 290 colleges and the implicated faculty members. Despite this, only 25% of the faculty appeared for the inquiry.

The university syndicate, while proposing penalties for those involved, has referred the matter to a high-level three-member committee for further review. Arappor Iyakkam’s convenor, Jayaram Venkatesan, has called for immediate action to deter such practices. He stressed that Anna University should hold its inspection teams accountable and ensure measures like verifying payslips to confirm faculty employment.

Background

An investigation in 2024 by Anna University and anti-corruption NGO Arappor Iyakkam uncovered widespread malpractice involving “ghost faculty” in private engineering colleges affiliated with the university in Tamil Nadu. The investigation revealed that during the 2023-24 academic year, 676 faculty members were employed as full-time staff across multiple institutions, with some listed at more than ten colleges. Among these, 20 individuals were repeat offenders, including one faculty member who appeared on the payrolls of 22 colleges.

This malpractice was more widespread than previously reported, with 686 such cases identified in the 2022-23 academic year. The investigation, which analyzed a database of 52,500 teachers, led Anna University to blacklist the involved faculty members and issue show-cause notices to 295 implicated colleges. The investigation also linked several colleges to prominent political figures, including former and current MLAs and MPs from major parties like DMK, AIADMK, PMK, and Congress.

Police Initiate Action Against Village Residents Who Threw Mud And Expressed Angst Against DMK Minister Ponmudi During Fengal Cyclone Inspection

Police Initiate Action Against Village Residents Who Threw Mud And Expressed Angst Against DMK Minister Ponmudi During Fengal Cyclone Inspection

Villagers staged a protest on the Chennai-Trichy National Highway, alleging police harassment following an incident where DMK Minister Ponmudi was attacked with mud during a Cyclone Fengal relief visit.

In December 2024, following the Fengal cyclone, a group of individuals allegedly attacked DMK Minister Ponmudi with mud during his visit to Villupuram, to distribute relief materials and assess the flood situation caused by the cyclone. They threw mud at him, staining his white shirt. The incident quickly went viral on social media, with initial reports suggesting that locals expressed anger at the Minister’s presence.

The mud-throwing took place after Ponmudi arrived in Villupuram as part of the state government’s relief efforts following Cyclone Fengal, which struck the region on 30 November 2024. The cyclone caused widespread damage in Villupuram, breaking over 10 lakes, washing away culverts and roads, and submerging thousands of houses. Agricultural lands were also severely impacted, displacing many people.

Following the cyclone’s destruction, Chief Minister Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin visited flood-affected areas like Marakkanam to provide relief. Ponmudi, along with other officials, visited Iruvelpattu on the Villupuram-Trichy National Highway, where floodwaters severely damaged roads. It was during this visit that his car was blocked by angry residents who were frustrated with the delayed response.

The protesters, who had staged a road blockade, voiced their displeasure with the government’s relief efforts and questioned why officials had not arrived sooner. Police intervened, urging them to clear the blockade. Ponmudi and other officials briefly inspected the affected areas before leaving under pressure.

However, police sources alleged that the assailant was not a resident but Rama alias Ramakrishnan, a 24-year-old BJP sympathizer. Ramar alias Ramachandran is reportedly connected to the BJP, and his sister, Siddhi Vijayarani, is associated with the party. Authorities are investigating whether the incident was politically motivated.

Villagers Harassed By Police

Polimer News reported that the police have been visiting their homes day and night in the name of investigation and the family members allege harassment from the police. Relatives claim they are being harassed by police, who are reportedly threatening family members when the twoaccusedare not at home. The police’s actions have drawn protests from villagers, who staged a demonstration on the Chennai-Trichy National Highway, disrupting traffic for over half an hour. The police held talks with the people staging the road blockade. When the protesters refused to disperse, the police attempted to arrest them. However, the women fought with the police and managed to rescue the youth.

The police also tried to drag an elderly man, who was pleading with them not to harm anyone, and attempted to put him in a police vehicle. The women intervened and rescued him as well. When the police entered the village as a group, an old woman, frightened by their presence, pleaded with them, saying, Sir, these are our children, they have not made any mistake, please let them go. As a result of the protest, traffic on the Chennai-Trichy National Highway was disrupted for half an hour.

“Bussy Anand Wants To Become Pondy CM”, TVK Vijay’s Political Strategist John Arokiasamy Alleges In Leaked Audio

TVK Vijay's Political Strategist John Arokiasamy expresses frustration in Leaked Audio

Just a few days ago, an audio of actor-turned-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK)’s political strategist John Arokiasamy, was leaked on social media. In the clip, Arokiasamy critiques TVK’s leadership and structure, accusing General Secretary Bussy Anand of overshadowing Vijay and projecting himself as the party’s face, diluting Vijay’s cult appeal. He warns that such missteps could result in TVK failing to secure even 2% of the vote in the 2026 elections.

Arokiasamy expressed frustration over the party’s inability to mobilize its fan base effectively and criticized Vijay’s perceived lack of proactive engagement, labeling him a “work-from-home politician.” Drawing comparisons to other political parties, he emphasized the importance of a strong, central figure as the face of a party and cautioned against weakening Vijay’s image. He also questioned TVK’s ability to form alliances or gain significant traction under its current strategy, highlighting internal discontent and strategic mismanagement.

A second audio was leaked recently and Arokiasamy is once again found critiquing the leaders of the TVK.

He says,’16, ’19, ’21, Now ’24. The last time he took the weapon – Madam. He tried it with Madam also. She refused to enter. I don’t know. If he sends me, I am not connected to it. Be careful with intel. They will use you and finish you when needed. You must be thinking that he will do everything for us. Be very, very careful. What is important to you? You wanted to become Pondy CM and come here and do this and that. Even that will not be in hand. That is the truth. Whatever the reason, do not trust him and do not do anything to Sir or the party. Else you will regret it in the future. For now, it seems fine, that everyone is doing everything for you. But they will sting you when the time comes. He looks at him like a henchman. With what courage is he saying? He is saying finish the work on time, if not tell me I will talk to sir. As if we are stopping the work from happening/keeping it pending. He’s a split personality, sir, if you see him, he’ll be like this once, he’ll be like something else sometimes, you won’t be able to understand him, once he’ll pretend as if he is very interested and working for your interest. Then suddenly he will destroy this for his own interest. Dual personality. Don’t know what he is caught in. Pandi Saravanan, his assistant said it. He says he is a teetotaler and has no vices. But your leader, he indulges in everything, he said. About 6 months ago. We share these videos, right, he asked if all that will be tracked. When I asked why, he said he asked just out of curiosity. I am alerting him also. GS is in the team, he is the same brand as sir, and he is with sir. Don’t damage the ones who are there, don’t touch them, wherever they go, no matter what strategy I tell him it will get passed on to sir, there is news that goes there. This is the problem. How do I tell him? None of us can tell him. Caste census is gone. I also discussed the strategy for the conference, we discussed that he must concentrate on (inaudible/cut) issue primarily. But two days later we hear the news that a TVK cadre is arrested in a ganja case. I insisted that we take up the issue of drugs seriously and it happened as if they turned it against us entirely. Only we 3 are talking, sir won’t tell Uday or anyone else, how did it get leaked? Another thing is, climate is the biggest problem now. It is devastating during rains. A few days ago, a special team went to Japan to study disaster management. Do you think they will take so much interest? The team comprised of IAS officers. So you are leaking all our strategies. How can you wage a war?”
