“In US, President’s Mental State Is Checked, Beginning To Doubt If CM Stalin Is Fit”: BJP TN Chief Annamalai Questions MK Stalin’s Leadership Amid DMK’s Delimitation Row

Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai launched a scathing critique of Chief Minister MK Stalin, questioning his leadership abilities. Drawing a comparison to the United States, Annamalai pointed out that the American President undergoes an annual mental health evaluation to ensure their fitness for office. This comment came amidst the ongoing controversy over the Centre’s three-language policy, which the DMK has opposed.

Annamalai commented, “If you’ve seen the U.S. President, mental health check-up with a doctor once a year. I’m not saying anything wrong about the Chief Minister. A doctor certifies and publishes a document stating that the U.S. President is fit to lead America. Today, after seeing the Chief Minister’s Facebook post, I’m beginning to doubt whether he is fit to lead Tamil Nadu. When no one has given instructions, spoken about, or expressed an opinion on this matter, why is an all-party meeting being called?”

Annamalai then shared a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where he criticized the Congress’s delimitation policy, which he argued would result in southern states losing more parliamentary seats. Annamalai continued, “In the Congress model of delimitation, 100 seats will be lost by southern states. I will not accept that. Why is Congress spreading rumors? This was during the Lok Sabha election. So why is the Congress party spreading these rumors? This was the official opinion of the Prime Minister. But when neither the Prime Minister, nor the BJP, nor the NDA, nor our Parliamentary Affairs Minister in Parliament has talked about delimitation, why is the Chief Minister creating such a sham drama? It’s because they lost the battle on the three-language policy, and now they want to change the focus. The public in Tamil Nadu didn’t support the DMK; only a handful of people are running around with paint cans. What’s even more ridiculous is that in Sankaran Koil, the people who are painting don’t even know Hindi or English—they’re painting in English. That’s why I’m telling DMK cadres to please go to school and study. Another DMK member even said, ‘Brother, Hindi is on top, this is English.’ After that he was painting on Hindi.”

This criticism follows Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s recent call for an all-party meeting scheduled for 5 March 2025 to address the contentious issue of delimitation. Stalin warned that the state is at a crucial point where it must take action to safeguard its rights.

In his announcement, Stalin revealed that invitations had been sent to 40 political parties registered with the Election Commission to discuss the potential impact of constituency delimitation. He referred to the issue as a “sword hanging over Tamil Nadu.

Speaking after a Cabinet meeting, Stalin emphasized that Tamil Nadu’s successful family planning policies had placed the state at a disadvantage in this context. He explained, “If delimitation is carried out based on the population census, Tamil Nadu stands to lose eight parliamentary seats, which would diminish its representation in Parliament.”

In a series of posts on his official X account, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin expressed his concerns, stating, “As the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, I would like to bring to everyone’s attention that the process of delimiting the Lok Sabha constituencies based on the 2026 census is very dangerous. Tamil Nadu and other southern states have done a great job in controlling population growth. But how can it be justified if that is the reason why our strength in Parliament is reduced and our voice is suppressed? Our argument is not that no steps should be taken to improve representation in a democratic manner. For that, there is no room for compromise in the representation of Tamil Nadu! We ask that a fair and transparent process be followed in a manner that preserves the principles of federalism. In this context, I call upon all registered political parties in Tamil Nadu to deliberate on this very important issue that affects the future of Tamil Nadu. To protect the future of our mother, Tamil Nadu, let us unite as one, transcending party differences! Let us overcome the surrounding danger with our unity!”

In another post, Stalin emphasized, “Delimitation isn’t just about Tamil Nadu—it affects all of South India. A democratic process should not penalise states that have successfully managed population growth, led in development, and made significant contributions to national progress. We need a fair, transparent, and equitable approach that upholds true federalism. #FairDelimitationForTN”

Tamil Nadu Govt Employees Stage Mass Casual Leave Protest; JACTO-GEO Warns Of Electoral Consequences If DMK Fails To Address Demands

Tamil Nadu witnessed a large-scale protest by government employees and teachers on 25 February 2025, as members of the Joint Action Council of Tamil Nadu Teachers Organisation and Government Employees Organisation (JACTO-GEO) staged demonstrations across all district headquarters. Participants took casual leave en masse to condemn the state government’s failure to address their long-pending demands.

M. Srinivasan, state coordinator of JACTO-GEO, stated in Chennai that reports from 37 districts indicated that 4.22 lakh employees and teachers took part in the demonstrations. The absence of staff disrupted work in several government offices and schools across the state, though operations at the secretariat in Chennai remained unaffected.

Sources from the elementary education department confirmed that out of 1,21,239 teachers, 53,166 availed of casual leave. Teachers’ associations estimated that 40% to 50% of postgraduate teachers and headmasters of high and higher secondary schools joined the protests. However, the state government did not release any official data on the number of employees who participated or the extent of the impact on work.

JACTTO-GEO coordinator Mayavan warned of an escalation, stating that their next phase of agitation would be a total strike of work, with a final decision to be taken soon. The protest followed failed discussions on 24 February 2025 between JACTO-GEO leaders and a four-member group of ministers.

A key demand of the protesters is the restoration of the old pension scheme, a promise made by the ruling DMK during its election campaign. Mayavan stated that even after four years in office, the government had not fulfilled its commitment, and warned that if the employees were deceived, the DMK government would face repercussions in the 2026 Assembly elections.

He further criticized the government’s handling of the negotiations, stating that ministers engaged in discussions for over two-and-a-half hours on 24 February 2025 and assured union leaders they would consult the Chief Minister. However, despite the Chief Minister’s presence at the secretariat, the ministers left without meeting the waiting union representatives. Mayavan described this move as “backstabbing” the employees.

He also dismissed the government’s request for four weeks to address their concerns, calling it an attempt to weaken employee unity and delay action on their demands.

In Krishnagiri, the JACTO-GEO staged a large protest near the new bus stand on 25 February 2025 following failed talks with the State government the previous day. A key demand in their 10-point charter was the repeal of the New Pension Scheme and the reinstatement of the Old Pension Scheme.

Despite a directive from the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court against the protest, hundreds of members gathered in the open arena near the bus stand.

In Dharmapuri, JACTO-GEO protests were also held, with the Tamil Nadu Teachers Organisation and the Government Employees Organisation leading demonstrations to reiterate their demands.

After “Centre Imposing Hindi” Propaganda Exposes DMK’s Own 3-Language Policy Schools, Stalin Shifts Narrative To “TN Will Lose Seats After Delimitation”, Annamalai Slams Stalin Saying “Stupid Arguments”

With the DMK’s “Centre imposing Hindi through the three-language policy” narrative crumbling—exposed by mounting evidence of its own leaders running CBSE schools that teach Hindi and enrolling their children in three-language policy institutions—the party is now scrambling for a new distraction. In a desperate bid, it is peddling false claims about Tamil Nadu losing constituencies post-delimitation, hoping to shift focus from its hypocrisy.

Tamil Nadu BJP President, K. Annamalai, has sharply criticized Chief Minister MK Stalin after the DMK’s anti-Hindi campaign failed to attract much attention. Following the lack of response, the party shifted its focus to a new narrative, claiming that the central government could reduce Tamil Nadu’s parliamentary seats through the delimitation process.

Annamalai, using his official social media account, mocked Stalin, saying, “When TN CM Thiru MK Stalin knows the whole of TN has rejected their argument except a few paint-dabba carrying DMK cadres on the third language for our children studying in TN Govt schools similar to the schools run by TN CM’s family, he now wants to shift the narrative to his imaginary fear of TN losing in the Delimitation of seats. What a shame & downfall for DMK! When our Hon PM Thiru @narendramodi avl had clearly said delimitation – if and when it happens – will be favourable to all, including the southern states, why this fear-mongering Thiru @mkstalin ? Imaginary fears & stupid arguments have, of late, become TN CM’s arsenal!

“Baptism By Bacteria”: Leftist Supreme Court Lawyer Sanjay Hegde Derogates Maha Kumbh, Netizens Dare Him To Speak Ill Of Other Religions

In a controversial social media post, senior Supreme Court advocate Sanjay Hegde, who is known for his leftist views, has sparked outrage by referring to the Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, as acollective baptism by bacteria. His remarks, which criticized the event as afrenzy of virtue display, have drawn sharp criticism from netizens, who have accused him of hypocrisy and double standards in his treatment of Hindu religious practices.

Hegde took to X to question the Uttar Pradesh government’s claim that 62 crore devotees took the holy dip at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. He wrote, These numbers do not add up. However there is no doubt that vast numbers have gone. There has been a kind of frenzy of virtue display, by all kinds of people. A brilliant job of social engineering, which will influence politics in years to come. The Ganesh Milk drinking episode, the thali banging during Covid, all show the same Indian instinct for mass action and collective affirmation. People do not want to use individual , rational judgment at all. This collective baptism by bacteria has probably settled the BJP’s line of succession.

Netizens Slam Hegde For Hypocrisy

Hegde’s remarks have ignited a firestorm on social media, with many users calling out his apparent bias against Hindu traditions. Netizens challenged him to apply the same critical lens to religious practices of other faiths, asking if he would describe circumcision ascircumcision by rusty scalpelor communion ascommunion by stale crackers. Some questioned whether he would refer to Muharram processions asspiritual bloodletting by sterile blades.”

Here are some netizen reactions.

Maha Kumbh: A Global Spiritual Gathering

The Maha Kumbh Mela, held at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the Saraswati rivers, is one of the most significant events in Hinduism. Millions of devotees gather to take a holy dip, believed to cleanse them of sins and grant spiritual liberation. The Uttar Pradesh government’s claim of 62 crore devotees participating in the event has been met with skepticism by some, but the scale and spiritual importance of the gathering remains undeniable.

Sanjay Hegde’s derogatory remarks about the Maha Kumbh have not only offended millions of Hindus but also exposed what many see as a pattern of selective criticism targeting Hindu traditions. As netizens continue to challenge him to apply the same standards to other religions, the incident has reignited debates about religious tolerance and the double standards often displayed by public figures.

Dravidian Model: Tamil Nadu’s TANGEDCO Records ₹1.62 Lakh Crore Loss, Tops India’s Power Utility Loss Chart

tangedco electricity tax cag

Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (Tangedco) has recorded the highest accumulated losses among all state power distribution companies in India, with a staggering ₹1.62 lakh crore loss till the financial year 2022-23. Data presented in the Rajya Sabha reveals that Tangedco alone accounts for 25% of the total losses incurred by power distribution utilities across the country.

According to official figures, the total accumulated losses of all power utilities in India stood at ₹6.47 lakh crore as of 31 March 2023. Tangedco’s financial burden has worsened drastically, increasing by 157% from ₹63,162 crore in 2015-16 to ₹1,62,507 crore in 2022-23. By comparison, the overall losses of power distribution companies in India have increased by 72% during the same period, from ₹3.76 lakh crore in 2015-16 to ₹6.47 lakh crore in 2022-23.

Following Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan ranks second in terms of accumulated losses, with ₹92,070 crore, while Uttar Pradesh follows closely with ₹91,632 crore.

Union Minister of State for Power Shripad Naik attributed the worsening financial condition of state-owned power utilities to multiple factors, including the non-implementation of fuel and power purchase cost adjustments, delays in tariff revisions, inefficient billing systems, and under-recovery of electricity dues from state government departments and subsidy amounts.

A senior Tangedco official stated that despite implementing three electricity tariff hikes since September 2022, the utility continues to suffer financial losses due to the massive interest burden from previous years. In 2022-23, Tangedco reported a loss of ₹10,868 crore, primarily due to an interest expenditure of ₹13,450 crore. The previous financial year saw an even higher loss of ₹12,995 crore, with ₹10,923 crore spent on interest payments.

The official noted that continuous tariff revisions and efforts to reduce interest burdens have helped narrow the gap between the average cost of power supply and the average revenue collected. This deficit, which stood at ₹1.24 per unit in the previous financial year, is projected to decrease to ₹0.49 per unit in 2024-25. However, despite these efforts, Tangedco remains in deep financial distress, with its debt burden continuing to weigh heavily on Tamil Nadu’s power sector.

DMK Cadres Blacken English Name Instead Of Hindi At Kadayanallur Railway Station To Oppose “Hindi Imposition”

The ruling DMK party in Tamil Nadu has been organizing protests across the state, with their cadres actively involved in defacing Hindi signage on nameplates outside central government buildings and offices. Many of these protests resulted in arrests.

One protest, in particular, drew significant attention and went viral. It took place at the Kadayanallur railway station in Tenkasi district, where DMK supporters gathered in large numbers to deface the Hindi text on the station’s nameboard. The protest was led by former Tenkasi North District Secretary, Chellathurai.

However, instead of erasing the Hindi letters, Chellathurai was seen removing the English letters from the nameboard. A video of this incident quickly spread online, with social media users mocking the protesters and suggesting they should “study first” before taking part in protests.

DMK claims that this protest was part of the parties broader opposition to the central government’s push for Hindi, despite the government not formally declaring any intent to impose the language. The incident sparked widespread online trolling, with many poking fun at the DMK functionary for targeting the wrong letters during the protest.

DMK Mouthpiece Sun News Maliciously Links Goat Price Surge To Maha Shivaratri

In a recent report by Sun News, the outlet claimed that the price of goats has surged in the Tiruppuvanam Livestock Market ahead of Maha Shivaratri, a significant Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to the report, a 10-kg kid (baby goat) is now selling for ₹13,000, while a 20-kg kid is priced at ₹23,000, a sharp increase from the previous rate of ₹7,000. However, this report has been met with widespread criticism for its blatant misinformation and lack of understanding of Hindu traditions.

Maha Shivaratri And Goats: A Baseless Connection

Maha Shivaratri is a Hindu festival observed with fasting, night-long vigils, and prayers to Lord Shiva. It is a day of spiritual significance, marked by fasting, let alone consuming non-vegetarian food and other indulgences.

Contrary to Sun News’ claims, goats have no religious or cultural association with Maha Shivaratri. The festival emphasizes devotion making the report’s attempt to link goat prices to Shivaratri not only misleading but also factually incorrect.

Ramzan And Goat Consumption: A Valid Connection

In stark contrast, it is noteworthy that the Islamic festival of Ramzan is just around the corner, beginning on the last day of February this year. Given that Ramzan delicacies such as Haleem and other stews are predominantly prepared during the festival, goats play an integral role in these culinary traditions. It would have been more logical and accurate for the report to highlight this connection, rather than fabricating an unlikely link between goat prices and Maha Shivaratri. However, Sun News seemed to purposefully bring in an unlikely connection between a Hindu festival and goat prices! During festivals like Ramzan goat/sheep sales traditionally increase. This is a valid observation, as the consumption of goat and sheep meat is common during Ramzan. The report’s lack of understanding of this connection highlights its selective and biased approach to reporting.

The report appears to be an attempt to create unnecessary controversy or sensationalize unconnected things just for controversy while purposefully ignoring the actual cultural and religious contexts of the festival.

The Sun News report is a glaring example of how Dravidianist media outlets continue to mislead the public by wantonly ignoring facts and cultural sensitivities. While the rise in goat prices ahead of Ramadan is a legitimate economic trend, the attempt to falsely connect it to Maha Shivaratri is both inaccurate and disrespectful to Hindus.

Dravidian Model: Another TN Govt School Teacher Arrested For Sexually Harassing Minor Girls

A 35-year-old English teacher, S. Prabhu, employed temporarily at a government high school in Vaniyambadi, has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting six students. The arrest followed a complaint filed by J. Kamal, the District Child Protection Officer of Tirupattur.

The incident came to light when a group of students contacted the child helpline (1098), reporting inappropriate behavior by Prabhu. A team from the child protection office conducted an inquiry on 24 February 2025, questioning the affected students, school staff, and teachers.

The investigation revealed that Prabhu, originally from Uthangarai in Krishnagiri, had been teaching at the school for about a year. The students accused him of making inappropriate physical contact with them and singing lewd songs during a computer science test on 21 February 2025.

The students later submitted written complaints, and based on the District Child Protection Officer’s report, the All Women Police Station in Vaniyambadi filed a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act. Prabhu was arrested, and the police are now expanding the probe to determine if other students were also victimized.

DMK-Buttressing Dravidianazi Orator And HR&CE Dept Advisor Suki Sivam Peddles Hate Against Brahmins By Calling Them ‘Outsider Nomads Who Cremate Their Dead’, Here’s Evidence From Sangam Literature That Proves The Hate-Mongering Bigot Wrong

Suki Sivam, a self-styled Tamil orator, writer, and self-proclaimed scholar known for subtly intertwining Dravidianist ideology into his spiritual talks, has once again peddled lies furthering the Dravidian propaganda of the Aryan Invasion Theory. At an event that took place a few days ago, Suki Sivam “pointed out” the differences between Aryans and Tamilians based on the manner in which both parties say farewell to the dead.

Speaking at the event where he praised Tamil Nadu CM Stalin as an “effective” leader, he also propagated lies about the Aryan Invasion Theory and indirectly stated Brahmins were the Aryans and it could be proved by the way they cremated the dead.

He said, “I am not praising our CM as a person. The events that are happening around us – the CM has the responsibility to protect the identity, race, honour of the Tamil people. It is our duty that we strengthen him. That is why I am praising him today.”

Referencing a previous speaker he said, “Manivannan very beautifully spoke about it. If you are a history student, you can Google “India from 900 or Indian from 1500”. You can take a look at the various kingdoms and their regimes. No king ruled the whole of India at one point in time. Everyone would stop above Andhra, they could never come down south, and even if they did, the maximum they could conquer was Andhra. Just check Babar, Akbar, and Aurangzeb’s regime and every single time you will see the south was never conquered. If you wonder why, it is because it is a fact that it is impossible to enslave the people of this region. Our people will even go hungry but will not be emotionless. If they do not serve Annadanam in temples, they will throw it in the face. They are such short-tempered people. That is their natural tendency.

Adding further, he made a comment that borderline stokes separatism saying “Some people do not realize this and are playing with fire, it is not a good thing. We think it is the best thing to live in India. We are okay to be part of the structure that is India. That is because of the generosity of Tamilians. This must be understood by the people who need to.”

Speaking on Hinduism, he said, “Many people do not know about the history of Hinduism. They think it is the mode of worship that is depicted on the outside. This stage has the past and the present HR&CE ministers. But I have always been a part of the HR&CE department. Here’s what I am coming at. We must study history closely. A group comes from outside. They settle on the other side of River Sindhu (Indus). On this side of the Sindhu, several types of people exist – they follow different modes of worship, rituals, etc. They are very happy and prosperous. The ones who have come from outside are sitting on the banks of the river and watching these people and addressed these people as “Sindhus”. The outsiders were the ones who used the word Sindhus. Later they entered our place. We are very gullible people, we welcomed them. Let me give you an example. Tamilians have the ritual of burying the dead in graves. But the outsiders cremated their dead. Do you know why? It is because Tamilians owned the land, and they could bury. The ones who did not own land cremated the dead. How can a nomad own land? So, if someone died, they would cremate and leave the ashes by the riverbanks. The habit of leaving the remains by the riverbanks is now considered pure. You people did not own any land, so you cremated somewhere and left the remains there and moved on. We owned fields and we buried our dead in the fields. How can someone who does not own land bury in our land? They have hidden this historical truth, and the outsiders are trying to compromise because the actual residents are fighting among themselves. He grabbed a little bit of everything from everyone and our people were unaware and naive. They adopted the religion, and rituals from this land and gave it their name.”

Here’s why Suki Sivam is wrong. There is historical proof from Sangam era texts that prove that the early people of this land carried out burials as well as cremations. More importantly, people in Tamizhagam during the Sangam era itself carried out cremations. Here are some references.

The Purananooru, one of the most celebrated classical Tamil poetic works in Sangam literature, contains references to cremation. One verse in this context says “பெருங் காட்டுப் பண்ணிய கருங் கோட்டு ஈமம்…. நள் இரும் பொய்கையும் தீயும் ஓரற்றே”

This verse talks about Sati performed by the Pandya queen Perumkoppendu and she says that her husband’s funeral pyre is equivalent to a cold pond.

A poem called “Smoke-filled ground” in Purananooru talks about the cremation ground rather than the king himself.

Another epic Manimekalai from the Sangam period also describes the fate of those burned in fire. A verse in the epic says, “சுடுவோர் இடுவோர் தொடுகுழிப் படுப்போர் தாழ்வயி னடைப்போர் தாழியிற் கவிப்போர்”. This verse speaks about various ways of the last rites and cities cremation as well.

Archaeological evidence from ancient South Indian sites suggests that burial was a common practice, as burial urns from BCE-era settlements have been discovered in significant numbers. However, this does not necessarily mean that cremation was absent, as cremated remains do not leave lasting evidence unless stored, which was not a norm in most cultures that practiced cremation. The absence of written records from that era further complicates our understanding of pre-Vedic funerary practices. Sangam literature, which dates from the 2nd century BCE to the 5th century CE, mentions cremation, but by this time, Vedic, Jain, and Buddhist influences had already reached South India.

However, the burial sites found in earlier settlements suggest a culture that predates these influences, leaving open the possibility that cremation may have coexisted. Beyond South India, the Indus Valley Civilization provides strong evidence of cremation, making it likely that the practice was present in the region.  Rigveda Mandala 10, Hymns 18.11-13, describe placing the deceased in the earth with prayers for protection. However, later hymns in the same Mandala, such as RV 10.15.14 and RV 10.16.1, reference cremation, suggesting that the practice became more common over time. This shift may have been influenced by interactions with the Indus Valley Civilization, which already cremated its dead. Therefore, both burial and cremation existed in this region, with cremation gaining prominence later.

Given that the Aryan Invasion Theory has been debunked by the Rakhigarhi findings, speaking about outsiders, Aryans, Brahmins etc does not make any sense in today’s context.

Hindu Couple In Madurai Allege Forced Conversion Pressure, Husband Writes Suicide Note

A woman from Madurai has lodged a police complaint alleging persistent attempts to forcibly convert her and her husband to Christianity, leading her husband to contemplate suicide.

Kamala (36), a resident of Viratipattu Banner Colony, and her husband Ayyappa run a stationery shop in Kochadai. The couple, who were married according to Hindu rituals, have reportedly been facing pressure to convert since 2018.

According to Kamala’s complaint filed with the S.S. Colony police, her father-in-law, Nagalingam, has been pressuring them to convert to Christianity, allegedly with the support of others. She specifically named Kingston Paul, who runs a church in Nataraj Nagar, Madurai, as one of the individuals involved in the conversion attempts.

“The pressure intensified over time, and we had no choice but to endure it,” Kamala stated in her complaint as reported in Dinamalar.

She further alleged that in August last year, Pastor Sundaramoorthy, along with his wife, and two other individuals from DPM, visited their home with Nagalingam. The group reportedly forced them to participate in Christian prayers and warned them of dire consequences if they refused, causing severe mental distress.

Kamala recounted a recent incident on 20 February 2025, when her father-in-law and Kingston Paul conducted a Christian prayer service outside their shop. Shortly afterward, she discovered a suicide note written by her husband, in which he named several individuals who had allegedly been harassing them for conversion.

In her complaint, Kamala has urged authorities to take legal action against those responsible. The police have registered the complaint and initiated an investigation into the matter.
