Congress Shares Distorted Map Of India Yet Again, Depicts PoK As Part Of Pakistan And Aksai Chin As China; Deletes Post & Posts Correct Version After Backlash

distorted map of india congress

Once again, the Congress has landed itself in controversy – this time it is their Kerala unit for sharing a distorted map of India. The Kerala Congress, through its official X account, posted a world map that wrongly showed Indian territory, including parts of Jammu and Kashmir, as ceded to China and Pakistan.

After facing severe backlash, the Kerala Congress quietly deleted the post without offering any apology and later reuploaded it with the corrected map.

This isn’t the first time Congress has stirred controversy by misrepresenting India’s map. On 27 June 2025, the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee Research Department faced severe backlash for using distorted maps in its brochures and pamphlets depicting parts of Jammu and Kashmir as ceded to China and Pakistan. The map was later corrected following public outrage.

The cover of a booklet titled “Jumla Government’s False Facts and Realities”, published by the TNCC Research Department, depicted Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) as part of Pakistan and Aksai Chin as part of China.

Just days before that, on 18 June 2025, the Congress had shared yet another controversial post featuring a map that showed Pakistan, including PoK territory lawfully claimed by India. The post, aimed at criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign policy, was captioned, “Narendra Modi has ruined the foreign policy,” alongside a video containing the erroneous map.

The repeated use of such maps drew fierce condemnation. Critics accused the Congress of echoing anti-national narratives and aligning with Pakistani territorial claims. Following strong reactions from the public and political rivals, the posts were quietly taken down again, without any formal explanation or apology from the party.

17-Yr-Old Student Dies Of Electrocution In Thiruvottriyur, Public Protest Erupts Against TN Electricity Board

electrocuted to death student thiruvottriyur tneb electricity board

A class 12 student died of electrocution in Thiruvottriyur, sparking public outrage and a two-hour road blockade against the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB).

The victim, identified as Nafil, was returning home after attending tuition classes on Tuesday evening when he stepped into a pool of rainwater that had come into contact with a leaking underground power cable. He died on the spot.

Local residents blamed the incident on negligence by the Electricity Board, citing improper cable installation as the cause of the leak. Protesters gathered at the scene and blocked the road for nearly two hours, demanding accountability and swift action from authorities.

This is not the first such incident in the area. According to locals, two individuals had previously sustained injuries due to similar electrical hazards. The latest fatality has intensified anger and concern in the community, particularly as the victim was a school student.

Police and electricity officials arrived at the scene and assured the public that the matter would be investigated.

Karnataka Congress Dy CM Says Work On Mekedatu Dam Has Begun, BJP TN Asks If ‘Deltakaaran’ Stalin Is Eating Mixture

mekedatu dam stalin

Amid Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar’s recent declaration that the survey for the Mekedatu balancing reservoir is complete and land acquisition is underway, the Tamil Nadu BJP has lashed out at the ruling DMK for its silence. The criticism centers on the DMK’s alliance with the Congress, which leads the government in Karnataka.

Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary S.G. Suryah strongly criticized Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, accusing him of failing to speak up on an issue that threatens Tamil Nadu’s water security.

Posting on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Suryah mocked Stalin’s silence, saying, “Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister @DKShivakumar says they have started the dam construction work at Mekedatu! But Chief Minister @mkstalin, who boasts of being a ‘Delta man,’ has sacrificed the lifeline of the Delta, the Cauvery, for the sake of the @INCIndia alliance and is now observing a false silence eating mixture. Enough of eating mixture, Chief Minister! Our Central @narendramodi government has repeatedly assured that the Mekedatu dam cannot be built without Tamil Nadu’s consent.”

Suryah added that the Central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has clearly maintained that no dam at Mekedatu can be constructed without Tamil Nadu’s consent. He then questioned the intentions behind the DMK’s silence, “So, for whom is this silence of the anti-Tamil Nadu Congress-DMK alliance? Will Tamil Nadu Congress President Mr. @spk_tncc answer this?”

The Mekedatu project has long been a contentious issue between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, with the latter opposing it over concerns that it could disrupt the flow of the Cauvery River to its delta regions

The BJP’s sharp criticism of the DMK and its ally, the Congress, comes in the wake of remarks made on 30 June 2025, by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who reiterated their strong support for the Mekedatu balancing reservoir project. The leaders argued that water being released from Karnataka to Tamil Nadu has consistently exceeded the stipulated 177.25 TMC (thousand million cubic feet), thereby justifying the need for a storage facility within their state.

At an event held at Brindavan Gardens to offer the traditional ‘bagina’ to the Krishnaraja Sagar reservoir, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that Karnataka fully respects the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal and Supreme Court directives and has no issue releasing the mandated quantum of 177.25 TMC to Tamil Nadu. However, he pointed out that Karnataka had, in fact, released over 305 TMC to the neighbouring state last year.

He noted that even in June alone, 42 TMC had been discharged far exceeding the monthly quota of 9.1 TMC. Highlighting Karnataka’s consistent compliance, Siddaramaiah added that only in 2023–24, due to deficient rainfall, did the state struggle to meet its water obligations. In times of drought, he stressed, both states should share the burden equitably.

This context, he argued, underscores the necessity of constructing the Mekedatu balancing reservoir. He also criticized Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy for reportedly claiming that he could secure central approval for the project “in five minutes,” only to later retract the statement.

Deputy CM Shivakumar, meanwhile, said that while the state was still waiting for the Centre’s clearance, it had already begun groundwork for the Mekedatu project. An implementation office has been set up in Kanakapura, and steps to acquire land are underway. He expressed optimism that a favorable court decision would follow soon.

In response to questions about Tamil Nadu reportedly expanding its irrigated areas, Shivakumar remarked that the Cauvery basin in Karnataka has also seen a 6% increase in irrigated land.

Ajithkumar Custodial Death Case Complainant’s Video Raises New Questions

ajithkumar custodial death case nikitha video statement

A recently released video of Nikitha, the complainant in the alleged jewellery theft case that led to the custodial death of temple security guard Ajithkumar, offers a detailed narration of the events at the temple on the day of the incident. However, her account, while attempting to justify her complaint, has raised further questions, especially about why only Ajith Kumar was accused and fatally assaulted, despite multiple individuals handling the car key that day.

Key Details From Nikitha’s Video

In her video, Nikitha begins by stating that she did not initially know Ajithkumar by name. She recalls seeing a young man standing near the temple entrance and asking him if a wheelchair was available, as her elderly mother was unable to walk in the crowd. The young man, later identified as Ajith, offered to assist and said he would first park the car. He returned shortly with a wheelchair, and her mother was seated.

Nikitha struggled to push the wheelchair up a ramp, and Ajith stepped in to help, assisting her mother into the temple area near a small Vinayagar shrine. Nikitha then told her mother to remain seated while she went to park the car and purchase temple offerings.

As she prepared to park the car herself, Ajith, who Nikitha said was wearing a uniform and appeared to be part of the temple staff, offered again to handle the parking. Hesitant at first, Nikitha eventually handed him the car key, trusting his apparent affiliation with the temple.

Nikitha noted that her handbag—with cash for offerings—was in the front seat, while her mother’s handbag was in the back seat inside a cloth bag under her clothes. The family was scheduled to visit a hospital later that day for a scan related to her mother’s recurring dizziness. As a precaution, Nikitha had asked her mother to remove her jewellery – one chain, two bangles, and two rings and keep them hidden inside the bag.

The plan shifted when they decided to visit the temple before the hospital. Nikitha, dressed casually for a medical appointment, went to purchase coconuts and lemons. She stated that this also took about half an hour. Upon returning, she asked her mother whether the car key had been returned. Her mother replied that it had been given back “just now.” Nikitha then placed the key on a plate with the offerings.

Another temple staff member offered to help with the wheelchair, who she said looked like a “permanent” staff, and while Nikitha declined assistance initially, the person later escorted her to the archanai counter and helped guide her mother inside.

After performing the rituals, Nikitha returned to find her mother seated near the sanctum. She stated that they remained at the temple from around 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and were later urged by temple staff to leave due to increasing crowding since 12PM was the time for uchipoojai.

At this point, Nikitha realized the car key was missing. She remembered placing it with the offering tray and asked the priest, who promptly retrieved it, indicating that the key had remained at the temple for some time. Nikitha reiterated in the video that she had originally handed the car key for parking to a “tall, thin, dark-complexioned boy in uniform” referring to Ajith Kumar and expressed concern over the delay in retrieving the car, saying her mother was a low-sugar patient and had been waiting without food.

Contradictions and Unanswered Questions

Nikitha’s video acknowledges that the car key passed through multiple hands – Ajith, her mother, the priest, and others involved in temple activities. Yet, the police complaint she filed led to the immediate targeting and brutal custodial assault of only Ajith Kumar.

Her video appears to downplay an earlier reported argument in which Ajith allegedly asked Nikitha for ₹500, which some eyewitnesses claim was the actual trigger for the complaint. This detail is omitted from her statement.

While her account attempts to clarify the sequence of events, it simultaneously exposes inconsistencies, particularly regarding the movement and custody of the car key and the location of the alleged stolen jewelry.

With the jewellery still untraceable and no clear evidence pointing solely to Ajith Kumar, Nikitha’s statement is now being viewed with skepticism. Observers and victims of her past alleged scams have questioned the selective blame placed on Ajith and are demanding that she be brought under formal investigation.

Key Witness In Ajithkumar Custodial Death Case Seeks Police Protection After Death Threats

key witness custodial death

Arun (name changed), a crucial eyewitness in the Sivaganga custodial death case, has appealed to Tamil Nadu’s Director General of Police, requesting immediate protection due to alleged threats to his life. His appeal comes after he secretly filmed and exposed a video showing police officers assaulting Ajith Kumar, a 27-year-old man who later died in custody.

The disturbing footage played a central role in the investigation and directly led to the arrest of five police personnel involved in the incident. Arun has since testified in court as a prosecution witness.

In a detailed two-page letter to DGP Shankar Jiwal, Arun expressed concerns for his safety, stating that the accused officers have significant influence and maintain strong links with criminal elements. He specifically mentioned S. Raja, one of the accused, as a police officer with a criminal past and connections to local thugs, who allegedly issued direct threats to him on 28 June.

Arun, who has worked for over two years at the Madapuram Adiakalam Katha Ayyanar and Bhadrakali Temple, also informed the DGP that he had appeared before the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on 1 July and gave a formal statement under case number WP No: 17975 of 2025. The court reportedly directed the state to provide adequate protection to him.

In his letter, Arun emphasized that his life as well as the safety of other witnesses and their families is in danger due to his role in exposing the brutality. He urged authorities to assign police protection from a district other than Thirubhuvanam, citing potential bias or risk.

Arun’s letter read, “I have been working as an employee for 2.5 years at the Madapuram Adiakalam Katha Ayyanar and Bhadrakali Temple. I am a direct eyewitness in the Madapuram Ajithkumar murder case. On 1 July 2025, I directly appeared before the Honorable Judges of the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court in WP No: 17975 of 2025 and gave my testimony. The court has ordered that ‘the state shall provide necessary protection to the eyewitness to the case. In the aforementioned case (CR No: 303/25), A1, S. Raja, a special squad police officer, is a history-sheeter with a criminal background who has close ties with many rowdies and uses them under his control. When I met him on the morning of Saturday, 28 June 2025, he severely threatened me. Since I am the one who provided the ‘torture footage video’ of Ajithkumar to the court, my life and the lives and property of those associated with me are under severe threat. Therefore, it is essential that I, as an eyewitness in this case, and other witnesses, be provided with armed police protection as per the Honorable Court’s order. Hence, I urgently request, in the interest of justice, that armed police protection be provided to the witnesses, as per the court’s order, from a district other than Thirubhuvanam.”

Background

Ajith Kumar was taken into custody on 28 June 2025 by Sivaganga police in connection with a jewellery theft investigation. He reportedly lost consciousness while in custody and later died. A preliminary autopsy revealed 44 injury marks on his body, along with traces of chilli powder in his genitals, ears, and mouth. The Madurai Bench strongly criticized the state government, remarking that even a hardened criminal would not subject someone to such inhumane treatment, asserting that the state had effectively “killed its own citizen.”

In response to growing public and judicial scrutiny, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin transferred the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and assured full cooperation through a social media statement. Meanwhile, Judicial Magistrate John Sundarlal has been independently investigating the case and is expected to submit a detailed report to the High Court by 8 July, following its directive.

Ajithkumar Custodial Death Case Complainant “Dr Nikitha” & Her Family Had Scammed Many Over Promise Of Govt Jobs – Victims Testify

ajithkumar custodial death case nikitha victims scam jobs government dmk

The news of the brutal murder of 27-year-old temple security guard Ajithkumar is still haunting the state of Tamil Nadu. As investigation progresses, the complainant’s background details have begun emerging.

Just yesterday, it came to be known that the complainant “Dr Nikitha”, who accused Ajithkumar of theft, was linked to an earlier fraud case involving a government job scam.

Nikitha of Thirumangalam, Madurai was long known for orchestrating fraudulent job rackets, targeting vulnerable youth and retired citizens across Tamil Nadu.

However, conflicting narratives, including a new video released by Nikitha herself, have cast serious doubt on the authenticity of her complaint. More damningly, a growing number of victims have come forward alleging that Nikitha, along with her family, defrauded them of lakhs of rupees under the pretext of securing government jobs.

A Decade Of Fraud?

Nikitha, who identified herself as a “doctor,” is in fact believed to be a Ph.D. holder working as a professor in a government college. Her mother Sivagami and father Jayaperumal are retired government officers. According to multiple testimonies, the family, particularly Nikitha, her brother Kaviyarasu, and relatives ran a job scam operation between 2010 and 2011, collecting money from jobseekers with promises of placements in government departments.

Rasangam, Madurai

A man named Rasangam, a milk vendor from Potta Patti in Madurai district, said he was persuaded by Jayaperumal who was known to him, to pay ₹8 lakh on the assurance that his son’s B.Ed qualification would land him a government school posting. Rasangam recounted how he mortgaged assets to raise the money, only to be cheated and stonewalled.

Speaking to Polimer News, he said, “I am from Madurai’s Thirumangalam. My name is Rasangam. I was doing milk business at that time. I have met Jayaperumal, he is from a neighbouring village. So, sometimes I went to his house and met him, and we would talk. He told me that there was a government vacancy and since my grandson had done B.Ed, he could get him a job in a college. He said he had connections with Kalaignar’s family and those close to Stalin. You can trust me on this. Without denying whatever he said, and since he assured that he knew the Kalaignar family, and he was a retired government official. I gave him ₹8 lakh rupees. Then he would keep dragging and stalling saying he got some work and told me to wait for some time. I even went home and talked to him. Then he said that there was no opportunity for employment. I gave your money to a relative, you can get it back from him. He said that and has escaped. I have not seen him or met him after that. Later, I complained to the SP office once but no action was taken. It is 14 years now since I lost my money. They are not relatives but was a student in the same place as my son.”  He further stated that since the government changed, they could not do anything about it – they did not return the money even.

The victim’s grandson stated that they were threatened for filing a case over not receiving the money. He said, “Nikitha is my uncle’s student. I came to know her only through him. They said that they had direct connection with Kalaignar and Stalin. So they can give us the job. We knew them for about 5-6 years. Trusting them, we gave them the money. You must have met my grandfather Rasangam, he is 85 years old. He used to sell milk with his bicycle. He saved up his hardearned money 8 lakh rupees and gave it to them. I had also completed MA and B.Ed. They said they will get me a VO job and asked for the money. In total, we paid them 16 lakh rupees. We gave it in 100 rupee notes but they refused to take it and asked us to change it to 500 rupee notes. We managed to get it with great difficulty. We were not the only victims, there were more from Chennai, Ramanathapuram, and Sekkanoor and they have been cheated out of approximately one crore rupees. When we pressed hard for the money, a lawyer named Pasuman Pandian from Thirunagar – who is Nikitha’s brother Kaviarasu’s brother-in-law, contacted us and threatened us, stating that we would not get our money back and to do whatever we could. He also told them that Nikitha’s family had “gone outside” and that we should “do whatever we could.” We went to the SP and complained. They promised us that they would arrest them – this was back in 2011. They did not do anything, and they are free today, but we are suffering. We want justice. We were shamed economically so we also went our way. ”

A College Principal

Yet another victim of Nikitha’s is her college principal who was told that she had contacts with IAS officers. He gave her 8 lakh rupees that was borrowed at interest. Weeping, he said, “In 2010, Nikitha was my B.Ed student and that is how I got to know the family, they are also relatives. Sivagami who feigned inability to walk in a temple, called him at 11:45 PM, promising a government job in two days if I brought nine lakh rupees. I had completed M.Com, M.Ed, and M.Phil. I was told that as a relative, I should meet Jayaperumal, my uncle. Me and my father met Jayaperumal, who demanded nine lakh rupees for a postgraduate teacher position. They also asked me to inform other relatives about immediate job opportunities. My sister’s son, who had finished B.Ed, was asked for seven lakh rupees for a Block Development Officer (BDO) job. They collected biodata, certificates, and university documents. The money was paid in two or three installments. At times, we struggled to arrange the money and borrowed at interest. So we had to give that money in 10 rupee notes. Jayaperumal and Sivagami refused those 10-rupee notes, stating it was embarrassing for them. But only I know the immense difficulty I faced in arranging the interest-borrowed money. Sivagami and Jayaperumal took 19 lakh rupees from my fellow professor Selvam’s sister and brother. The family members involved in taking the money were Sivagami, Jayaperumal (her husband), Kaviarasu (Nikitha’s brother, also known as Vaibhav Saran Kavi), his wife Sugadevi, and Kaviarasu’s brother-in-law. Kaviarasu’s brother-in-law (Bhagat Singh) was the one who finally refused to return the money and dismissed them, saying “do what you can”. After the elections were announced, they went into hiding, locking their house. News reports identified Jayaperumal as a retired Deputy Collector and Sivakami as a PG Physical Director. Nikitha herself studied B.Ed under me in 2006 and now works as a professor in a government college, earning a salary of lakhs of rupees. When I went back to ask for my money, I had no means to even eat porridge (kanji), but they told me, “Even if you die, we won’t give you a single rupee”. Ten days back, me and my wife went to Nikitha and Sivagami’s house in Aalampatti to ask for money, but they claimed they had “no way to even eat”. However, they defrauded people of crores of rupees. Other victims include Murugesan and Muthukodi from Aalampatti, a disabled bank employee from Vasantha Nagar who gave his retirement benefits for his son’s job, and a lab attendant/assistant from Nikitha’s college who gave money for his son’s job, I have also heard that Senthil, Dhanasekaran from Chennai paid large sums, specifically 70 to 80 lakh rupees. These people have retirement benefits after retiring from government jobs. Despite my qualifications, I am struggling financially in the private sector because I took a loan with interest to pay for the job and now have no money even for food. I have been crying from this morning, I even recounted my predicament to Jayaperumal and Sivakami. I am a college principal but have gone without food to college many times. The family had destroyed my life and those of others, just as they destroyed Ajith Kumar’s family. Nikitha, Sivagami, Kaviarasu (her brother), his wife, and brother-in-law Bhagat Singh have destroyed everyone’s lives. Cases were filed against them in Thirumangalam, Karur, Coimbatore, and Chennai during 2010-2011. Additionally, Bhagat Singh defrauded a person from Kalluthu Perumalpatti, Usilampatti, of eight lakh rupees in 2016-2017 by promising a petrol bunk license. They not only scammed us but continued scamming people for the next 5-6 years. This is a planned conspiracy or fraud by the family.”

The family insisted on payments in 500-rupee notes and then denied receiving the money since it was given in cash, claiming there was no proof. A First Information Report (FIR) released in 2011 included the names of Nikitha, her mother Sivagami, father Jayaperumal, and brother Kaviarasu. It is reported that Nikitha and her family absconded three days ago after the news of Ajith Kumar’s death emerged, locking their house.

Pilgrims Thank Army, Administration For Smooth Conduct Of Amarnath Yatra

As the 36-day-long Amarnath Yatra commenced, thousands of pilgrims from across the country converged in Jammu and Kashmir to undertake the pilgrimage and offer prayers at the revered Amarnath cave shrine.

Devotees expressed immense satisfaction with the arrangements made by the administration and praised the Indian Army for ensuring their safety during the pilgrimage. The first batch of Yatris began their journey from the Baltal base camp early Thursday morning, with another group departing from Pahalgam.

Meanwhile, the second batch of 5,246 pilgrims left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas on Canal Road in Jammu for the Valley in two escorted convoys, underscoring the tight security measures in place. Speaking to IANS, pilgrims voiced their gratitude and joy over the seamless arrangements.

One devotee said, “I have been coming to Baba Barfani’s shrine continuously since 2019, and it feels wonderful every time. The arrangements made by the administration are excellent.” Another added, “The arrangements made by the government are praiseworthy. We are very happy.”

The turnout this year appears significantly larger than in past years. One pilgrim said, “When things were concerning around here, where terror attacks used to happen, very few people used to come for Yatra. But this time, people have come in large numbers.” Others echoed similar sentiments, noting that the journey, though inherently spiritual and not undertaken for comfort, has been made notably smoother this year.

“When one embarks on a pilgrimage, they do not see the comfort or discomfort. However, this time, the arrangements are very nice and incomparable to the previous years,” a devotee said. Appreciating the security forces, another Yatri said, “The Indian Army has made our travel easy. They are here for our security. Additionally, the arrangements made by the Centre and the J&K government are really nice.”

Another added, “The Indian Army and the administration have ensured that all the pilgrims are safe and can carry on with this holy Yatra without any concerns. I am thankful for everything.” The Yatra was officially flagged off by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday from Jammu. Authorities have implemented an unprecedented security plan following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam in which 26 civilians were killed by Pakistan-backed Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists. To ensure safety, an additional 180 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) have been deployed, supplementing the already extensive security apparatus comprising the Indian Army, paramilitary forces, and J&K Police.

Pilgrims have been strictly advised to travel from Jammu to the Valley only as part of escorted convoys and have been warned against attempting the journey independently. The Yatra, which concludes on August 9, coinciding with Shravan Purnima and Raksha Bandhan, allows pilgrims to approach the sacred cave shrine located at an altitude of 3,888 metres either via the traditional Pahalgam route or the shorter Baltal route.

The Pahalgam trek spans 46 km and takes four days, passing through Chandanwati, Sheshnag, and Panchtarni. The Baltal route, a 14 km trek, allows pilgrims to return to the base camp on the same day. This year, in light of heightened security, helicopter services for pilgrims have been suspended. The shrine houses a naturally formed ice stalagmite believed to represent Lord Shiva, which waxes and wanes with the moon phases. Devotees revere the shrine as a powerful symbol of Shiva’s divine presence.

UP Police Calls Out Sun News For Fake ‘Samosa Bribe’ Story, Turns Out It Was A 2019 Dispute Involving A Samosa Vendor

up police sun news

The DMK’s first family-owned channel, Sun News, faced fresh embarrassment this time, not from netizens, but from the Uttar Pradesh Police, who issued a sharp and warranted rebuttal after the channel irresponsibly shared a fake news card on its official X account. The post falsely claimed that police in Etah district had closed a sexual assault case in exchange for samosas. What Sun News presented as ‘journalism’ was, in reality, nothing more than WhatsApp-circulated-gossip repackaged as news, without a shred of fact-checking.

On 1 July 2025, as pressure mounted on the DMK government over the alleged custodial death of Ajithkumar, a 27-year-old temple security guard, Sun News often seen as the unofficial mouthpiece of the DMK diverted focus by digging up a baseless story from Uttar Pradesh. Their news card boldly declared, “Police received samosas as bribe in sexual assault case. UP: Police in Etah district accepted 6 samosas as a bribe and closed the investigation into a minor girl’s sexual assault case. The accused reportedly owns a samosa shop. In a case filed by the father of the 14-year-old victim against this, the POCSO court cancelled the police’s investigation report.”

However, the Etah Police swiftly debunked the fake news. In a detailed clarification, they explained that the incident actually dates back to 2019 and involved a dispute over unpaid samosas, not bribery. The accused, a samosa vendor, had refused further credit to the complainant. A final report was filed at the time, and following a protest, the court ordered a re-investigation in 2024. The police reiterated that nowhere in the court order was there any mention of samosas being accepted as a bribe. In fact, it clearly related to a commercial dispute, not corruption.

The UP Police called the viral news card “completely misleading and far from the truth,” exposing Sun News once again for spreading misinformation in the name of journalism.

Etah police statement read, This incident dates back to the year 2019. The accused owns a Samosa shop. A dispute arose when the complainant asked for samosas on credit, and the accused demanded payment for previously given credit samosas and refused further credit. A final report was filed in the case. Based on the complainant’s protest, the Hon’ble Court ordered a re-investigation in 2024. In the re-investigation as well, the investigating officer submitted a final report. Again, on the complainant’s protest, the Hon’ble Court canceled the final report and ordered the matter to be heard as a complaint. There is no mention in the Hon’ble Court’s order about filing a final report after taking samosas as a bribe; rather, it mentions a dispute over samosas on credit, which also emerged during the investigation. The circulated news is completely misleading and far from the truth.”

This episode has turned into yet another mockery for Sun News, which now finds itself being publicly shamed for peddling fake news at a time when it should have been focused on holding power to account not acting as a distraction machine for the ruling party.

Ajith Kumar Custodial Death Case: Complainant Previously Booked In ₹16 Lakh Job Scam

ajithkumar custodial death case scam job for cash dr nikitha

Fresh questions are emerging in the controversial custodial death of temple security guard Ajithkumar, as the complainant who accused him of theft, a doctor named Nikitha, has now been linked to an earlier fraud case involving a government job scam.

Ajithkumar, a 27-year-old temple guard, was arrested in connection with a theft complaint filed by Dr. Nikitha, who alleged that jewellery kept in a car parked in Madapuram was stolen. Following the complaint, members of a special police unit allegedly assaulted Ajithkumar with sticks and plastic pipes. He later died in custody, sparking widespread protests and public condemnation across Tamil Nadu.

Now, records show that in 2011, a case was registered against Dr. Nikitha and her family at the Thirumangalam Police Station in Madurai district. The complaint, filed by a man named Rajangam, accused Nikitha and her family of defrauding him of ₹16 lakh under the pretext of securing government employment.

According to the FIR, Nikitha allegedly claimed to have strong ties with a personal assistant to then Deputy Chief Minister MK Stalin and promised Rajangam both a teaching job and a village assistant post. After repeated delays and unfulfilled promises, Rajangam demanded his money back, but was allegedly threatened and coerced instead. Following the complaint, Nikitha and her family reportedly went into hiding. A case was registered against six individuals, including her parents and a person identified as Bhagat Singh.

More controversially, sources allege that an IAS officer, said to be close to Nikitha, may have exerted pressure on the police in the present Ajithkumar case, a claim that has not yet been officially verified. The allegation has triggered further public outrage, with calls for an impartial investigation into both the custodial death and the background of the complainant.

Opposition leaders and citizens are demanding answers regarding the identity of the IAS officer and the handling of both cases by the police.

The custodial death of Ajithkumar has already led to strict scrutiny of Tamil Nadu’s police procedures, and this new revelation has intensified the demand for accountability at multiple levels of the administration.

When DMK Min KN Nehru Inadvertently Exposed How Dravidian Model Police Functions

kn nehru custodial death tamil nadu police tn police dravidian model police

Just as the state reels under the highhandedness of the Tamil Nadu Police, in the backdrop of the custodial death of temple security guard Ajithkumar in Sivaganga district, a 2022 video of DMK Minister for Municipal Administration, Urban and Water Supply, KN Nehru, speaking about the “integrity” of the state’s police began making the rounds.

Speaking at an event in 2022 in what seems like an event at a private IAS academy, Nehru is seen saying that a deputy superintendent of police had the ability to do anything that he wanted. He said, “The one who has come has become a DSP today. He used to be an SI. He used to be part of the security who would accompany us. He has been promoted as DSP today.  He has the ability to do anything. The talent that he has is he can do anything. If he wants, he’ll make one a convict or remove one from the convict list. I don’t want to say anything else as he grew up with us,”

The then DSP of Trichy’s Jeeyapuram Paravasudevan was also present at the event.
