EPS lashes out DMK for failing to fulfil promises

AIADMK Gen Sec Edappadi Palaniswani Demands DMK Govt End 'Cruel' Use Of Students For Agricultural Survey. stalin anna university sexual assault case eps delimitation

“505 announcements were made in the DMK election manifesto. They have not been been fulfilled.”, Leader of Opposition Edappadi K Palaniswami said during a press meet as the AIADMK held a state wide protest against the DMK’s anti-people policies.

He said that the only thing DMK has succeeded in is making false promises. As fuel prices have breached the He also reminded skyrocketing – petrol at Rs 102.49 and diesel at Rs 94.39, he reminded DMK of the promise of reducing the cost of petrol by 5 and diesel by 4.

He expressed concern that with the formation of the DMK regime the NEET exam will not be canceled and the reimplementation of lottery business in Tamil Nadu. The lottery ticket sales was banned in Tamil Nadu in 2003 by  former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, after a lot of people committed suicides.

Palaniswami also accused the DMK government of taking action against former ministers with political malice. He then pointed out that the electricity tariff system calculations in TN were a mess.

“What happened to the promise that the electricity bill would be calculated and charged once a month? At present it is not even known how the electricity bill is calculated!” he said.

The AIADMK also carried out a social media campaign against the DMK government with the hashtag #திமுக_சொன்னீங்களே_செஞ்சீங்களா (DMK, you promised but did you do it?).

DMK Govt appoints rabid demagogue and anti-Hindu hate peddler as member of TN school textbook body

With the controversy surrounding the appointment of Father Mariasusai to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission and Dindigul Leoni as the chairperson of the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation still raging, the DMK government has made another controversial appointment by appointing Suba Veerapandian to the Advisory committee to Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation. Suba Vee as he is known is best known for his anti-Hindu speeches particularly targeting the Brahmin community. He had also supported lyricist Vairamuthu who has been accused of sexual harassment by multiple women.

Suba Veerapandian runs an outfit called Dravida Iyakka Tamilar Peravai which spreads the principles of the separatist and demagogic Dravidian ideology. He incites hatred against the Tamizh Brahmin community through his speeches and TV debates.

A few weeks ago, famous Tamil lyricist Thamarai, who is known for her collaboration with film maker Gautham Vasudev Menon and Music Director Harris Jayaraj, came down heavy on Subha Veerapandian and Thiyagu, accusing them of sexual harassment.

She lashed out at Dravidian ideologue Suba Veerapandian (Suba Vee) and her ex-husband Thiyagu who also have been accused of sexual harassment. She had wrote in her Facebook profile “Suba Vee, the well-educated genius, is a ‘crook’ as everyone knows! But what happened? I was left in the middle of the road with my child. When I was stranded on the road, where were the ‘Kalanjiyams’ and ‘Nakkheerars’, who now talk vociferously, go?”

SubaVee was not only accused of being an accomplice in sexual misconduct, but he was also a key figure of an organisation that the Tamil Nadu government had banned. On August 13, 2002, the Tamil National Movement (TNM), led by P Nedumaran and in which SubaVee functioned as general secretary, was banned and labelled a “unlawful group” by the Tamil Nadu government.

Nedumaran, the TNM general secretary Suba Veerapandian and party activists Thayappan Ahmed and ”Pudukottai” Pavanam have been charged under Section 21 (2) (3) of POTA and arrested for allegedly speaking in favour of the outlawed LTTE at a meeting here on April 13, 2002.

In fact, the then DMK principal secretary and senior minister Arcot N Veeraswami condemned the provocative speeches of Suba Vee in the past. He said Suba Veerapandian, one of the speakers at a conference organised by the Viduthalai Chiruthaikal Katchi (VCK) on December 27, 2008, had allegedly stated that Sathyamurthy Bhavan, the TNCC headquarters, could have been totally destroyed, if only VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan had given such an order. “No one who believes in democracy can accept such remarks. The DMK strongly condemns it,” Veeraswami had said back then.

His appointment to the advisory committee of Tamil Nadu Textbook Service Corporation has made people wonder what has changed now. Did he apologize for his provocative speeches while supporting the LTTE, or did he prove his innocence in the allegations levelled against him by lyricist Thamarai?

Also, in one of his speeches he made in front of school children, he said the ruling BJP government is for the Brahmins (“இது அவாளுக்கான அரசு” meaning – This is a government for Brahmins). Is this what a rational person would say in front of children? Will this not bring a divide between Brahmin and non Brahmin students in the schools. What kind of advice would he give if he was appointed to the advisory council of the Tamil Nadu Textbook Service Corporation? Will he not use his position to spread anti-Hindu and anti-Brahmin hatred?

Who will be the DMK government’s next appointment? The man convicted of killing former Prime Minister as Chairman of State Human Rights Commission?

#KeralaModel: Kerala records highest TPR of COVID in one day after state relaxed lockdown for Bakrid

Kerala which has been called India’s most literate state has reported 22,129 new cases and 156 deaths in a single day yesterday (July 27),  giving the distinction as the first state in the last 50 days to report over 20,000 fresh Covid cases in a single day, reports Times of India.

The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) soared to an alarmingly high of 12.35 per cent and the number of the active caseloads in the southern state has reached 1,45,371 after Pinarayi Vijayan relaxed Covid-19 norms for Bakrid.

Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court had criticised the Communist party ruled Kerala government for permitting a three-day relaxation for Bakrid festival when the state eased Covid-19 restrictions.

The court observed that the state government bowing to traders’ pressure by granting relaxations shows a “sorry state of affairs” but in reality it was a simple case of appeasement of one communuty.

The apex court termed relaxations granted by the Kerala government for Bakrid “wholly uncalled for”, and added that the “citizenry of India has been laid bare to the nationwide pandemic by the grant of such relaxations for Bakrid”.

During the proceedings, the SC warned the Kerala government that their action for relaxing Covid norms for Bakrid will lead to the further spread of Covid-19.

The SC said, “We direct Kerala to give heed to Article 21 read with Article 144 of the Constitution of India and follow our orders given in the Kanwar Yatra case.”

However, unlike the state of Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand which cancelled the annul Kanwar yatra for Hindus, the CPM-led state government took the decision to relax lockdown restrictions for three days from Sunday in view of the Bakrid festival.

Taliban asks China to help establish their emirate in Afghanistan in return for not allowing Islamic terror groups to operate from its soil

As the future of Afghanistan lies in the balance, a nine-member delegation led by Taliban leader Mullah Baradar Akhund met Chinese Foreign Minister and State Councilor Wang Yi on Tuesday (July 27) and he assured the Chinese that the Taliban will not allow Afghanistan to be used against the security of any country.

Mullah Baradar is the senior-most leader of the Taliban and his meeting with the Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi on July 27, means this Sunni Islamist group is seeking the support of Beijing to get control of Afghanistan with the assurance that the Uighur extremist movement will not get any shelter in Afghanistan through the Wakhan corridor.

This meeting is taking place when the United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinkin is visiting India. Taliban said in a statement that Mullah Baradar travelled to China for two days as the head of a high-ranking delegation and held separate meetings with Wang, China’s deputy foreign minister and Chinese special representative for Afghanistan.

“The meetings focused on political, economic, and security issues related to the two countries, the current situation in Afghanistan, and the peace process,” the statement added.

What this actually means is that the Taliban is trying to assure the world that no Pakistan-based terror groups and pan-Islamic groups like Al Qaeda will use Afghanistan to establish terror training camps for targeting countries opposed to radical Islam.

This is contrary to the Taliban because, during its first term in power from 1996-2001, the Taliban gave shelter to majority of pan-Islamic terrorist groups like Al Qaeda, Harkat-ul-Ansar, HuJI Bangladesh, held training camps for Pakistan-based groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba, and the 9/11 terror attack was planned from its soil by Osama Bin Ladan who was later killed in Pakistan.

The Taliban delegation thanked China for its continued cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

However, the most important agreement the Taliban wants from China is to help them establish an emirate in Afghanistan, but at the same time, this Islamic group thinks the US may have second thoughts after reports of large numbers of civilian casualties killed by the Taliban.

The US has already declared that it will leave Afghanistan on August 31. “While Pakistan is trying to leverage its influence on Taliban to get close to revive its ties with the US, the Sunni Islamist group is piggybacking on Islamabad to strengthen its ties with China. The Chinese, on their part, are looking towards expanding the Belt and Road initiative into Afghanistan and thereon to Central Asia for taking a grip on bilateral trade with Afghanistan and exploiting resources like coal, copper and iron ore in that country,” said diplomats based in US and India.

Islamic outfits vandalize hill temple in Tirunelveli

Attempts by Islamic organizations to occupy the famous Aththri Hills in Alvarkurichi in Tirunelveli have shocked devotees, who have demanded that the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) department intervene immediately to curb the encroachment.

The Department of Hindu Religious Affairs oversees the Arulmigu Anusuyadevi Sameda Atri Parameswar temple and Gorakkar temple on Aththri Hill in Tirunelveli. The Aththri Ganga Theertham, which is similar to the Ganges, is in a perennial river and has a rare white turtle. Even in the summer, the river Kadanaa, which flows through this hill, is perennially flowing.

It has been reported that Islamic organizations are currently occupying this spiritual mountain, and that certain persons who visit the hill with the forest department’s permission are sketching Islamic symbols in green at the site where the Siddhars are said to have lived.

According to the devotees, the rocks of the mountain temple are inscribed with the words “Allah,” an Islamic symbol of the crescent moon, and the number 786, which is used by Muslims. In the Pudukkottai district, all the idols in a Chola temple were recently beheaded, while in the Ranipettai district, Amman statues were disfigured and semen ejaculated over the idols in the historic Panchalingeswarar temple, which created a stir in those areas. Devotees and the general public have urged the government to take proper measures to conserve the historic temples in the hills, which have long been worshipped by Hindus.

60 Hindus in Sindh, Pakistan convert to Islam to escape being perpetual bonded labourers to wealthy Muslim landlords

In the Islamic State of Pakistan, 60 impoverished Hindus belonging to the Dalit community from the Sindh province of Pakistan converted to Islam so that they could get their freedom and debts waived off.

As per reports, all the Hindus who live in constant fear were forced to embrace Islam as they worked as bonded labourers for wealthy Muslim landlords and in return were assured of their freedom from molestation and debt waivers, if they embraced Islam.

A 58-second video uploaded by Abdul Rauf Nizamani, the chairman of the Municipal Committee in Matli in Badin district of Pakistan has now gone viral.

In that video, one can see and hear a Muslim cleric preaching a group of Hindus about Islam and reciting the “kalma” or the Islamic oath of allegiance.

Rauf has also posted a comment, which reads “Alhamdulilah, aj mere niggrain me 60 log musalman hu hai ink lie due karen (Alhamdulilah, today 60 people have embraced Islam under my supervision, please pray for them).

However, the Pakistani Hindu Member National Assembly (MNA) doesn’t see anything being ‘forced’ in the conversion of these sixty Hindus.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s MNA and Pakistan Hindu Council’s Patron-in-chief, Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, said that forced conversion was a different issue.

“I describe forced conversion as when a minor girl is abducted and presented in a madrassa and later told that the girl has converted to Islam and you have no link with her,” he said.

He further added that it was possible that the Hindus could have been impressed with the teachings of Islam or that they may have been greedy for money.

Read shocking testimony of a teenager who was married off to her own abuser in an Islamic marriage in UK

Love Jihad Bihar

A 15-year-old girl who was groomed into having sex by her abuser, was married off to the same person in an Islamic marriage. One of the social workers allegedly even attended the wedding ceremony, reports dailymail.

The wedding took place even though the underage teenager was not a Muslim and the social worker meant to protect her did not prevent her marriage. What is even more shocking is that the girl was allowed to stay with the parents of her ‘husband’ tasked with fostering them and in whose care she became pregnant.

The name of the victim was withheld and was referred to as ‘Anna’ in the report. She was “left in a state of ‘domestic slavery”, and too scared to leave the controlling relationship as she feared getting killed under the guise of honour killing, she told the report’s authors.

An independent report has concluded that some youngsters in Bradford still remain unprotected’ from sexual exploitation.

Those who prepared the report have described it as making “difficult and, at times, distressing reading” two years after nine men of Pakistani heritage were jailed for more than 57 years over the sexual exploitation of girls who had been in Bradford Council’s care.

The victim who is now married to one of her abusers had disclosed details of sexual abuse, including rapes to a confidential support service for girls involved in prostitution, but nothing was passed on to police or social workers. Later the underage girl had converted to Islam and married her older Asian ‘boyfriend’ in a Sharia law ceremony.

The report said also states that there appears to be collusion between the abuser and social worker who allegedly attended the ceremony and assessed that her marriage was likely to reduce the risks incurred.

In her interview, Anna said that “At 14 years old I was engaged to be married, taking on the role of an Islamic wife fulfilling the needs of my husband and the extended family somewhat like a maid”.

‘We had no similarities in race, religion or culture and I continued to be subject to domestic violence and was subject to a coercive, controlling sexual relationship with a known perpetrator. I was frightened to leave, in fear of an honour-based killing.”, she was quoted saying.

The report concluded, “It is hard to understand how this decision can have been made and it resulted in Anna being entirely reliant on her abuser and his family,”.

It is clear that the state failed in its duty and instead of protecting her from harm, they left her at greater risk and made her entirely dependent on them (her abusers) and that led to ‘domestic slavery’ and sexual abuse by dozens of adult males, the report adds.

Here is Anna’s full testimony:

Numerous social services assessments were carried out throughout my very early years from the authorities with a “being at risk’’ noted but nothing ever acted on, and I was failed for more than two decades. My needs as a child were not met my education was nonexistent throughout my teenage years. From around 12 years old it was apparent to social services I was absconding from home and was being trafficked all over west Yorkshire. I was at great harm however they allowed me to continually be subject to sexual, physical, and emotional abuse and psychological abuse and harm. Safeguarding risk assessments were carried out and acknowledged that I was being sexually abused by grooming on a large scale.

Recommendations were put forward at various strategy meetings to remove myself as I was at escalated risk from sexual perpetrators and to be place into a secure unit or foster carers away from the area, but recommendations were ignored time and time again. I was regularly missing for numerous weeks at a time with no sightings, and no contact from myself. Social services and the police did nothing to locate me this could have ended in a homicide case as I was suffering from severe domestic violence. I was codependent from being 13 I was psychologically suffering throughout my teenage years, but no intervention was offered. I was a minor, unstable as well as unable, as any child is to make the correct choices which were life changing decisions these have had a major impact on my life.

I was 15, but the authorities thought it was in the best interest and to minimise the severity of my absconding and placed me in a foster care placement while being fully aware with the parents of my abuser. We had no similarities in race, religion or culture and I continued be subject to domestic violence and was subject to a coercive controlling sexual relationship with a known perpetrator. I was frightened to leave, in fear of an honour-based killing.

At 14 years old I was engaged to be married, taking on the role of an Islamic wife fulfilling the needs of my husband and the extended family somewhat like a maid. I was identified as a vulnerable and naïve child converting to Islam wasn’t a case of wanting to embrace Islam for my own individual choices. I was manipulated and controlled while I was on a local authority care order the authorities should have protected me however they allowed abuse to occur for numerous years. Resulting in living a life of dual identity despite only being 15. The local authorities allowed and witnessed a sharia law Nikah wedding to take place allowing a man to carry out sexual activity on a child to occur on a daily basis which is illegal.

If only the authorities had done what was recommend for me, the secure unit or accommodation. I wouldn’t have been subject to sexually and physical abuse for many years. And because I wasn’t looked after as a child should have been under a local authority care order. Contact arrangements with parents was minimal bonds were damaged with close family which can now never be rectified.

I’m left with my adult years to educate and work on my mental health state of mind and coming to terms with the realisation I will always be in recovery. I’m not in control of my anxiety and only feel at ease with my nerves, when I’m in another county living a life that nobody knows who I am or what I’ve been subject too. Throughout my late adult years, I’ve had a significant number of disturbing dysfunctional relationships as I’ve not healed as a victim of child sexual exploitation and physical abuse. I’ve found courage and been courageous in coming forward and I sincerely hope other victims will speak out about their child sexual abuse.
